:01:00. > :01:02.start line for tomorrow's London Marathon, hoping to raise mhllions

:01:03. > :01:05.for good causes. But the London Marathon charitable trust also gives

:01:06. > :01:07.out its own grants to clubs and charity. SPAT, a group that helps

:01:20. > :01:23.I think I am a better person now than ten months back. He was only 15

:01:24. > :01:27.when he first became involvdd in crime. But last year, you w`s

:01:28. > :01:33.referred to a youth centre, who introduced him to running. H am more

:01:34. > :01:39.healthier. I listen to my mtm or, because I am more calm when I take

:01:40. > :01:45.part in the sessions. It has made me confidence. SPAT is a new London

:01:46. > :01:49.charity that uses running to help young people who are homeless or at

:01:50. > :01:54.risk of becoming homeless. Hts founder says fitness gives them

:01:55. > :01:58.confidence and determination. Once you start seeing your achievements

:01:59. > :02:02.and the benefits physically, you start mentally realising yot can

:02:03. > :02:05.achieve your goals. A young person can start to realise they are able

:02:06. > :02:09.to go and get accommodation and employment. They have the

:02:10. > :02:17.self`esteem and confidence hn themselves to go and get it. Yeah, I

:02:18. > :02:21.feel happy. Manuel has been homeless for four years after moving to

:02:22. > :02:24.London from Cameroon. SPAT encouraged him to raise sponsorship

:02:25. > :02:28.for his visa application by running a half marathon. He has just found

:02:29. > :02:34.out he has been granted inddfinite leave to remain. I would be sleeping

:02:35. > :02:43.on the bus, hospital. I am happy now, because all these people, they

:02:44. > :02:46.are big family for me now. H am not fit enough, but my fitness level is

:02:47. > :02:51.getting there. So hopefully in the future, I can become a firefighter.

:02:52. > :02:55.SPAT's founder James will bd running the London Marathon tomorrow.

:02:56. > :03:02.Perhaps next year, members of the group could be running alongside him

:03:03. > :03:04.all stop now, the houses of parliament are often the scdnes of

:03:05. > :03:08.high drama, but now for the first time, the palace of Westminster is

:03:09. > :03:11.being used as a film set. Camera crews are according with the

:03:12. > :03:30.likes of Helena Bonham Cartdr and carry Mulligan for the film

:03:31. > :03:34.Suffragette. `` Carey Mulligan. You might think you have sedn inside

:03:35. > :03:36.Parliament in TV dramas and films before, but actually, you h`ven t.

:03:37. > :03:40.Like many productions, the BBC's House Of Cards used a set fhrst

:03:41. > :03:42.built in Manchester in the '80s and used many times since. And `ction!

:03:43. > :03:45.But Suffragette, starring C`rey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Helena

:03:46. > :03:48.Bonham Carter, has made history becoming the first commerci`l film

:03:49. > :03:51.to shoot inside the Palace of Westminster. When we asked, I was

:03:52. > :03:54.expecting a no, and then we kept getting really positive responses at

:03:55. > :03:57.each level and in the end, they finally said yes. This is a very

:03:58. > :04:01.grand, important place, and I think you feel that when you are here You

:04:02. > :04:05.feel the history. And it is important to us to have the power of

:04:06. > :04:08.what these women did here in this space. That struggle will bd told

:04:09. > :04:10.through the eyes of Maude, ` fictional suffragette played by

:04:11. > :04:13.Carey Mulligan. Meryl Streep plays Emmeline Pankhurst, who led the

:04:14. > :04:15.movement. The film is due for release next year. House of Commons

:04:16. > :04:18.authorities point out that by charging film`makers, they can raise

:04:19. > :04:24.much`needed funds for the ongoing running costs of this historic

:04:25. > :04:27.building. Filming on this occasion is an experiment, but if thd

:04:28. > :04:35.production goes well, there is a good chance that film`makers in

:04:36. > :04:38.future could be allowed in. 25 years after TV cameras were allowdd into

:04:39. > :04:41.the House of Commons, commercial film`making has now arrived. A taste

:04:42. > :04:44.of Hollywood in the heart of Westminster.

:04:45. > :04:48.Tonight's weather: it will be a mainly dry evening with cle`r

:04:49. > :04:51.spells, although some patchx, light rain is possible in a few places.

:04:52. > :04:54.Tomorrow will continue to bd dry with good spells of strong spring

:04:55. > :05:00.sunshine, with a maximum telperature of 17 degrees.

:05:01. > :05:02.That's it from BBC London for now. We will be back tomorrow just after

:05:03. > :05:17.6.30pm. Have a lovely evening. We start with a look at the latest

:05:18. > :05:21.satellite sequence, because it shows what has been going on over the last

:05:22. > :05:25.few hours. This band of cloud has been slipping south across England

:05:26. > :05:28.and Wales. A bit of patchy rain to come from that, but nothing of

:05:29. > :05:34.significance. Quite the story across the north of Scotland . And some

:05:35. > :05:35.fairly frequent showers to the north and west of
