:00:00. > :00:00.tomorrow. That's it. Now on BBC One, ht is

:00:00. > :00:14.time for the news where you are Goodbye for now.

:00:15. > :00:20.Good evening, welcome to BBC London News. A sister's hope to save her

:00:21. > :00:24.brother's life has been blocked by the Home Office. Keisha Rushton

:00:25. > :00:29.planned to travel from Jamahca to London to give Oliver Cameron her

:00:30. > :00:37.kidney. She had been told she cannot be trusted to return home. She has

:00:38. > :00:41.been refused a visa. A happx moment for Oliver and his grandson. It is

:00:42. > :00:47.also a tense time in the falily home. Oliver is in desperatd need of

:00:48. > :00:52.a new kidney. The tests camd back showing that the kidneys have

:00:53. > :00:58.failed. What the doctor said to me on the night is that I would need an

:00:59. > :01:04.operation. I would need a transplant. His sister provdd to be

:01:05. > :01:08.a perfect match for the transplant and was willing to donate one of her

:01:09. > :01:13.kidneys. It seemed straightforward. Unlike her brother she is not a

:01:14. > :01:18.British citizen. She lives hn Jamaica and was refused entry to

:01:19. > :01:21.Britain on the grounds she light not return home after the operation

:01:22. > :01:26.Disappointed is not even a word to use. It is an opportunity for me to

:01:27. > :01:32.go back out there and get b`ck out there into the working world. With

:01:33. > :01:38.seven children, a sick mothdr and fiance back in Jamaica, his sister

:01:39. > :01:42.says she has no desire to stay in the UK. I love my brother. H have

:01:43. > :01:49.made this decision for him to have life. This is a very excepthonal

:01:50. > :01:55.case. A man's life may depend on it. We cannot let the harsh clilate on

:01:56. > :02:04.immigration let us make harsh decisions. The Home Office looks at

:02:05. > :02:07.allish shoes. It said his shster's visa was denied because she could

:02:08. > :02:12.not give enough evidence to prove she would return home to Jalaica

:02:13. > :02:16.after her stay. Before his hllness Oliver was a plumber. He has been

:02:17. > :02:20.unable to work for the past two years. He undergoes dialysis three

:02:21. > :02:26.times a day at home. The trdatment is taking its toll. There are days I

:02:27. > :02:32.feel I just want to give up. I just don't want to bother. He faces a

:02:33. > :02:35.three`year wait on the NHS waiting list. He has hopes that the

:02:36. > :02:42.authorities could speed up the process by giving his sister a visa.

:02:43. > :02:47.A picture showing Prince Ch`rles gagged has been sensored by the

:02:48. > :02:50.company responsible for advdrtising on London's underground. Thhs is the

:02:51. > :02:55.original image, which is behng used to promote a play about the Royal

:02:56. > :03:01.Family being held at the Alleida Theatre. This is the pixell`ted

:03:02. > :03:09.version. The company responsible has been unawabl for comment.

:03:10. > :03:14.`` unavailable for comment. Hundreds of canoeists crossdd the

:03:15. > :03:19.finishing line in London, after a gruelling 125 mile race down the

:03:20. > :03:28.River Thames. 600 canoeists took part. It lasted two days, starting

:03:29. > :03:33.in Devizes, ending in Westmhnster. You are doing this again! It has

:03:34. > :03:36.defeated Olympic medallists. This morning, anyone on the soggx

:03:37. > :03:39.Westminster Bridge, would h`ve witnessed those who made it through

:03:40. > :03:44.one of the toughest endurance events in the world. They do not stop to

:03:45. > :03:48.eat and drink. They are fed and watered along the way. They keep on

:03:49. > :03:52.going through the night. No sleep, no rest at all. They do not stop for

:03:53. > :03:56.anything. The supporters have been up all

:03:57. > :04:02.night too, following them from lock to lock, after one of the wdttest

:04:03. > :04:09.winters on record made training harder. It is a bit mental. I mean,

:04:10. > :04:13.it is great. She enjoys it. What do you think of your wife doing this? I

:04:14. > :04:18.am very proud of her. They `rrived in dribs and drabs, the winners

:04:19. > :04:23.making it in after a compar`tively quick 17 hours. Which bit htrts now?

:04:24. > :04:28.My hands. I have blisters all over it.

:04:29. > :04:32.But blisters were the least of this pair's worries. They fell ott of

:04:33. > :04:36.their boat 300 metres beford the end. The rules say you must finish

:04:37. > :04:41.with your canoe, so they had to swim.

:04:42. > :04:46.Go guys! Only 80% of those who start finish

:04:47. > :04:51.this race. It was doubly re`ssuring when one particular canoe c`me in.

:04:52. > :04:56.It is a once in a lifetime for me. That is it, I am never doing it

:04:57. > :05:01.again. It is good to va the medal. `` it is good to have the mddal

:05:02. > :05:06.With half of those competing more than once, there is always next

:05:07. > :05:10.year. Let's get the latest on the bank holiday weather now.

:05:11. > :05:16.Good evening. Overnight it should stay mostly dry. There will be cloud

:05:25. > :05:28.better day of weather to look forward to. There'll be low cloud

:05:29. > :05:33.through the morning. This should thin and break to give us of

:05:34. > :05:39.brightness. Milder air. Temperatures in the centre of town could gets up

:05:40. > :05:44.to 18`19 Celsius T risk of perhaps one or two showers into the

:05:45. > :05:49.afternoon. One or two could be thundery. It is April showers to r
