:00:00. > :00:18.We are back at 10.00pm tonight. Time for the news now where you are.
:00:19. > :00:23.Good evening. The number of billionaires living in Britain has
:00:24. > :00:26.risen to more than 100, according to the Sunday Times Super`Rich List,
:00:27. > :00:30.with nearly two`thirds of them in London. The paper says there are now
:00:31. > :00:33.more billionaires here ` per head of population ` than any other city in
:00:34. > :00:36.the world. Here's Sarah Harris. London, according to the latest rich
:00:37. > :00:38.list, is home to more billionaires than any other city in the world.
:00:39. > :00:43.Businessmen Goprichand and Srichand Hinduja are now Britain's richest
:00:44. > :00:45.men, together worth ?11.9 billion. Russian tycoon, Alisher Usmanov, who
:00:46. > :00:49.owns one`third of Arsenal Football Club, has been knocked off the top
:00:50. > :00:56.spot but still has more than ?10 billion. Roman Abramovich, whose
:00:57. > :00:59.Chelsea team missed out on the league title this year, has slipped
:01:00. > :01:03.to ninth and now has a mere ?8.5 billion fortune. The man whose
:01:04. > :01:07.life's work has been studying the super rich says London has become
:01:08. > :01:13.the place to live for those at the top of the premier league of wealth.
:01:14. > :01:17.They love the culture here. The fact that there is rule of law, property
:01:18. > :01:22.rights are protected. They won't be chucked in prison or have their
:01:23. > :01:25.fortune seized. Two out of the top five on the list live here on this
:01:26. > :01:28.street in Kensington, known as Billionaires Row, where the average
:01:29. > :01:33.price of a house is around ?40 million. 72 London residents are
:01:34. > :01:40.said to have a fortune worth more than ?1 billion, compared to 48 in
:01:41. > :01:43.Moscow and 43 in New York. Those behind a new London Data Website say
:01:44. > :01:51.the injection of superwealth doesn't affect house prices everywhere in
:01:52. > :01:54.the capital. In Westminster, an increase of ?150,000 over the last
:01:55. > :02:00.year but in somewhere like Barking and Dagenham, the increase has been
:02:01. > :02:02.?6,000. So much less. But for the dozens of billionaires in London,
:02:03. > :02:07.record price tags like the ?140 million paid for a flat here, are
:02:08. > :02:17.easily affordable. The full rich list is published next week.
:02:18. > :02:21.A 44`year`old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was
:02:22. > :02:24.found dead at her home in north London on Friday morning. Tamara
:02:25. > :02:27.Holboll, believed to be aged in her 60s, was found with stab wounds at
:02:28. > :02:33.her flat in Kentish Town, which had been set on fire. Peter Holboll is
:02:34. > :02:36.due before magistrates tomorrow. An investigation is under way after
:02:37. > :02:39.two new tube trains collided when the tracks moved. It happened on the
:02:40. > :02:41.District Line between East Putney and Southfields earlier this month,
:02:42. > :02:45.causing minor damage to the carriages. The RMT Union says it
:02:46. > :02:50.highlights the impact of cuts to track inspections. London
:02:51. > :02:54.Underground says they're working to ensure it doesn't happen again. As
:02:55. > :02:59.well as council elections this month, four London boroughs will
:03:00. > :03:02.also elect a local mayor. One of them is Tower Hamlets, which has
:03:03. > :03:05.been facing serious questions about their current mayor's spending.
:03:06. > :03:07.Lutfur Rahman denies any wrongdoing, but this particular contest is being
:03:08. > :03:12.closely watched. Here's our Political Editor, Tim Donovan.
:03:13. > :03:14.Lutfar Rahman was elected the independent Mayor of Tower Hamlet
:03:15. > :03:19.after the national Labour Party rejected him as its candidate. His
:03:20. > :03:21.victory owed much to strong support from Tower Hamlets' Bangladeshies,
:03:22. > :03:27.who slightly outnumber white British people in the borough. Four years
:03:28. > :03:33.on, according to the Lib Dems, this is still about a Labour civil war.
:03:34. > :03:36.Tower Hamlets splinter group of the Labour Party call the Labour MPs in
:03:37. > :03:40.the House of Commons, their colleagues and brothers and sisters.
:03:41. > :03:42.So, clearly, that's what is happening. Maybe there are
:03:43. > :03:47.characteristics within the local Labour Party that somehow put
:03:48. > :03:50.people's backs up. The Labour candidate is John Biggs, currently a
:03:51. > :03:53.London Assembly Member, who was joined by the party leader this
:03:54. > :03:58.week. He insists there are clear differences between him and Mr
:03:59. > :04:02.Rahman. Luftar Rahman will tell you he lives by Labour values but the
:04:03. > :04:05.evidence is that he is too much of a separatist, not part of the
:04:06. > :04:09.mainstream any more and we offer a very real choice ` which is about a
:04:10. > :04:12.leadership which is broadly based in the borough and which respects all
:04:13. > :04:18.communities and which is going to take our borough forwards at a time
:04:19. > :04:21.of enormous change and pressure. The Conservatives say the two
:04:22. > :04:26.frontrunners don't provide a clear choice. Tower Hamlets needs a mayor
:04:27. > :04:31.open to all of the community, open to engaging and has that commitment
:04:32. > :04:34.and energy. But according to the current mayor, the differences
:04:35. > :04:37.between him and his old party are about policy and portraying him as
:04:38. > :04:43.being governed by and governing for Bangladeshies is racist. Free home
:04:44. > :04:46.care, we are the only group of people, under my administration, and
:04:47. > :04:51.myself, that we have continued to deliver free home care. We don't
:04:52. > :04:56.charge for the care we give to vulnerable elderly residents in the
:04:57. > :05:01.community. I'm the only group that will continue free home care. It is
:05:02. > :05:09.certainly an outcome hard to predict. And the address on your
:05:10. > :05:14.screen is where you can see a full list of candidates standing for
:05:15. > :05:16.election in Tower Hamlets. Let's get a check on the weather now with
:05:17. > :05:28.Kate. An unsettled weekend. The good news
:05:29. > :05:32.is the wind is starting to ease. It doesn't disappear completely. A
:05:33. > :05:36.similar day tomorrow, temperatures similar, still feeling fresh but
:05:37. > :05:39.heavy showers in the afternoon, slower`moving because the wind is
:05:40. > :05:43.lighter. Through Tuesday, a similar day but by Wednesday, high pressure
:05:44. > :05:46.starts to build. We should see more in the way of sunshine and the
:05:47. > :05:53.temperature gradually starting to climb. That's all for now. I will be
:05:54. > :06:05.back at 10.15pm. Until then, good evening.
:06:06. > :06:12.Good evening. We have still got some very heavy showers out there. For
:06:13. > :06:15.ors we are finishing the day on a more positive note. Clearer skies to
:06:16. > :06:22.the south indicating sunshine but the cloud still streaming in further
:06:23. > :06:24.north. Tomorrow's forecast brings a similar mixture, sunshine and
:06:25. > :06:27.showers although the winds will start to be lighter. That process
:06:28. > :06:31.begins through the night tonight. A shattering of showers still
:06:32. > :06:34.possible. Clearer skies across northern Scotland probably our
:06:35. > :06:38.lowest temperatures here. For many temperatures will begin Monday
:06:39. > :06:43.morning at around 8 or 9 degrees already with a few showers around. I
:06:44. > :06:47.think be drier spells in between, as with the nature of showers, they are
:06:48. > :06:52.not everywhere all of the time. Cloudy with brighter spells mixed in
:06:53. > :06:56.across parts of northern England and southern Scotland already with the
:06:57. > :06:58.potential of one or two to be heavy. On northern Scotland on balance
:06:59. > :07:00.through the day on Monday while there could be a few showers, a
:07:01. > :07:01.slight
