:00:00. > :00:00.back with the late news. Now on BBC One it's time for the news where you

:00:00. > :00:19.are. Bye for now. Good evening and welcome to the

:00:20. > :00:23.programme. Police have launched a murder investigation after a body

:00:24. > :00:38.was found in a flat fire in New Barnet. Antonio James Tammaso was

:00:39. > :00:41.found in his home on Potters Road on Thursday. The Met have released a

:00:42. > :00:43.picture of this petrol can, and are appealing for anyone with

:00:44. > :00:46.information to come forward. Part of North London turned red

:00:47. > :00:49.today in honour of Arsenal winning the FA Cup. Thousands packed the

:00:50. > :00:51.streets from the stadium, through Highbury to the town hall. Jean

:00:52. > :00:55.Mackenzie joined them. # You're having a laugh

:00:56. > :00:58.# Specialists in failure # You're having a laugh #.

:00:59. > :01:01.There was no talk of failure today as thousands packed on to the

:01:02. > :01:05.streets of Islington to cheer their team and its trophy. For Arsenal

:01:06. > :01:08.fans, this has been a long wait. For Michelle, the timing was spot on.

:01:09. > :01:12.I've always been an Arsenal fan. My parents always have been. We decided

:01:13. > :01:15.to come back and visit this year. We have been away for 40 years. I'm

:01:16. > :01:18.lucky enough that they were able to win yesterday. So, this is

:01:19. > :01:22.wonderful. Others didn't need to travel quite so far. And points for

:01:23. > :01:27.effort go to Jamie, who wouldn't let broken bones stop him from bringing

:01:28. > :01:31.his son. He's seven`years`old now. We have waited nine years for this.

:01:32. > :01:34.And my dad brought me when I was younger, so, yes, I thought I'd do

:01:35. > :01:40.that, so we have come from Chelmsford to see them. Hopefully,

:01:41. > :01:48.is that them coming now? After a nerve`racking evening, this

:01:49. > :01:54.was a moment fans could enjoy. All the players are like. Excellent.

:01:55. > :01:58.What does this mean for you guys? She is a big Arsenal fan like her

:01:59. > :02:02.dad. It's the first of many, hopefully. I have been waiting to

:02:03. > :02:04.take her for many years. Today is a special day for us, definitely.

:02:05. > :02:11.Absolutely. Brings the place together, doesn't it? Yes.

:02:12. > :02:14.# Oh Santi Cazorla #. This is the first one with the

:02:15. > :02:16.grandkids? First one with the grandkids, so I'm chuffed.

:02:17. > :02:20.Absolutely chuffed with them. You can see this means much more than

:02:21. > :02:26.just a football match and everything like that. A great day, a great day.

:02:27. > :02:29.Whatever their view of the celebrations, for Arsenal fans, this

:02:30. > :02:35.afternoon was close to perfect. I fly from Grenada just to see the

:02:36. > :02:39.final. We love it. This is my son, he loves Arsenal. And we say we will

:02:40. > :02:43.win again next year. Hello to everybody in Grenada. You all should

:02:44. > :02:47.be in England. Up the Arsenal! Up the Arsenal. Everybody.

:02:48. > :02:57.A`r`s`e`n`a`l! A`r`s`e`n`a`l! A`r`s`e`n`a`l!

:02:58. > :03:00.Ignore Russell Brand and vote! That's the message to young

:03:01. > :03:05.Londoners as we face just one year until the next general election. A

:03:06. > :03:07.charity in the capital says the famous comedian was wrong to

:03:08. > :03:10.discourage young voters recently. And says getting politicians to take

:03:11. > :03:14.to Twitter, and other new media, is the way to engage them. The campaign

:03:15. > :03:16.has won the support of some famous backers. Here's Charlotte Franks.

:03:17. > :03:19.College Green. It's opposite the Palace of Westminster and it's the

:03:20. > :03:23.place where everybody hears about what is happening in politics. But

:03:24. > :03:26.this isn't the only place to find out what's been discussed in the

:03:27. > :03:30.political world. A new wave of young activists are trying to get us to

:03:31. > :03:31.talk about it on social media and they want politicians to do the

:03:32. > :03:38.same. 50% of young Londoners in our survey

:03:39. > :03:40.have told us that they would like politicians to talk about their

:03:41. > :03:47.manifestos and policy promises on Twitter, so in 140 characters, on

:03:48. > :03:49.YouTube and Instagram. If all the parties deliver their election

:03:50. > :03:55.promises in this way, 42% would be more likely to vote. Sophie and Emma

:03:56. > :04:05.feel disengaged with what goes on inside the House of Commons. If a

:04:06. > :04:08.politician tweets, it might not have to be specifically about politics.

:04:09. > :04:12.It could be about what they are doing in the day. It really makes

:04:13. > :04:15.you feel like they are more human, like we all are. I think the

:04:16. > :04:18.politicians could really get involved in the platforms that young

:04:19. > :04:20.people use. I'm here to tell you that I always vote... The

:04:21. > :04:23.campaigners have been calling on well`known celebrities to back them

:04:24. > :04:27.and they have also been asking young people what would make them vote.

:04:28. > :04:29.Out in College Green, we found more willing participants. It's not the

:04:30. > :04:32.first time politicians have tried to engage with young people. Keith Hill

:04:33. > :04:37.was closely involved in trying to encourage young Londoners to vote.

:04:38. > :04:40.So, will it work? If you actually understand the issues that they care

:04:41. > :04:43.about, and then use social media to highlight those issues and why it is

:04:44. > :04:46.important to vote, then I think actually you will see an impact.

:04:47. > :04:54.Those behind the campaign hope that politicians take them up on their

:04:55. > :04:57.social media challenge. Right, let's take a quick look at

:04:58. > :05:01.tomorrow's weather with Sara Thornton.

:05:02. > :05:05.Good evening. With temperatures today in excess of 24 Celsius, it

:05:06. > :05:08.was the warmest day of 2014 so far and it's not over. Another lovely

:05:09. > :05:12.day in prospect for tomorrow. Very warm again and dry with good spells

:05:13. > :05:15.of sunshine, but a slow slide as we go through this week to something

:05:16. > :05:17.cooler and more unsettled. But not tomorrow. Plenty of sunshine

:05:18. > :05:20.tomorrow, some fair`weather cloud at times. Always a bit cooler towards

:05:21. > :05:22.the east because of the south`easterly breeze there. As you

:05:23. > :05:26.can see, a top temperature in central London of 24 or 25 again, 77

:05:27. > :05:29.in Fahrenheit. A little bit cloudier, a little bit cooler as we

:05:30. > :05:32.go through Tuesday. That cloud building as we go through the

:05:33. > :05:36.afternoon. The risk of some showers later on in the day. Still very warm

:05:37. > :05:39.for the time of year, though, 23 in central London. And cooler still on

:05:40. > :05:42.Wednesday, but still above average. There will be showers from Wednesday

:05:43. > :05:44.onwards and, as you can see, there will be some sunshine as well.

:05:45. > :05:50.Bye`bye. That's it. I'll be back later just

:05:51. > :06:09.after 10.20pm. Until then, enjoy the rest of your weekend. Goodbye.

:06:10. > :06:16.St James Park and Sheffield both hit 25 Celsius this afternoon. That

:06:17. > :06:20.gives us our warmest day in nearly nine months, since 5th September

:06:21. > :06:24.2013. It goes without saying that it is going to be a warm night. Look

:06:25. > :06:28.out for some showers clipping into eastern Scotland. Some of those

:06:29. > :06:32.could be heavy. Still some patchy rain for western Scotland. More

:06:33. > :06:36.persistent rain returning to Northern Ireland by the end of the

:06:37. > :06:41.night. Showers across Mid and North Wales. Temperatures no lower than 13

:06:42. > :06:45.degrees. We start Monday on a much more positive footing across western

:06:46. > :06:48.Scotland. Much drier than it has been through the weekend. Showers in

:06:49. > :06:51.the North East. Showers around for Northern Ireland. Brighter spells

:06:52. > :06:55.possible, too. Showers during the first part of the day for North

:06:56. > :07:00.Wales. One or two briefly glancing across the North West of England and

:07:01. > :07:01.a few for the Isle of Man. For England and Wales, still on
