:00:00. > :00:00.Coventry teenagers who have travelled to Syria to fight with

:00:00. > :00:36.ISIS. Now it is time for thd news where you are.

:00:37. > :00:42.Bhandhukarvi. There were violent scenes at a

:00:43. > :00:44.family picnic in North London this weekend after around 20 far right

:00:45. > :00:47.extremists stormed the event It is thought the gang may have

:00:48. > :00:49.connections to the fascist hooligan organisation in Poland. This

:00:50. > :00:58.evening, a vigil was held in Tottenham against the extrelisms.

:00:59. > :01:04.It was supposed to be a peace concerto mark World Music D`y. A

:01:05. > :01:10.gang of youths threw bottles, a target, an audience as diverse and

:01:11. > :01:17.multi`cultural as Tottenham itself. There were children at this event,

:01:18. > :01:21.babies, mothers. This was a completely brazen, audacious attack,

:01:22. > :01:26.in broad daylight in front of hundreds of people. Presumably they

:01:27. > :01:31.went to that music concert knowing there would be a multi``ure`l

:01:32. > :01:35.community here. It been held here for several years and there have

:01:36. > :01:41.never been a problem before. The police are overwhelmed. A lone

:01:42. > :01:50.officer tries to make an arrest with only himself and his b`ton to

:01:51. > :01:55.hold off an angry crowd. Re`enforcements do eventually

:01:56. > :02:02.arrive, but the attackers are gone. Police say there were around 20

:02:03. > :02:06.mainly Eastern Europe peen len, who launched the attack. Only one man

:02:07. > :02:10.has been charged. Who are they? We don't know if this was the lan who

:02:11. > :02:17.was charged with assault, btt the answer lies in the slogan on his

:02:18. > :02:22.T`shirt. It is the name of ` Polish right wing extremist group. Their

:02:23. > :02:32.members are made up of mainly football hooligans. Racist graffiti

:02:33. > :02:37.popping up. Their name and logo This group have been holding fascist

:02:38. > :02:43.rallies here in the park. They have had 150`200 people in that `rea

:02:44. > :02:48.That explains all the graffhti. They turn up with flags and flards and

:02:49. > :02:53.you know, microphones and they have these rallies. Racism among football

:02:54. > :02:59.hooligans has long been a problem in Poland. It appears with migration,

:03:00. > :03:04.right wing extremism is crossing borders into London. There hs a

:03:05. > :03:09.connection with the hooligans in Poland who are fighting othdr teams,

:03:10. > :03:13.other football fans in stadhums I think the problem is that the Polish

:03:14. > :03:17.Government and the Polish police are not doing enough to curb th`t kind

:03:18. > :03:21.of behaviour. What those people coming over here will probably find

:03:22. > :03:27.out is that the police will take a hard stand like they did in the '60s

:03:28. > :03:32.and '70s. We want to thank dveryone who stood up to help eject the

:03:33. > :03:39.fascists. Even fellow countrymen can be targeted. A Polish organhsers of

:03:40. > :03:46.the concert was sdabed. Polhce are looking `` was stabbed. Polhce are

:03:47. > :03:51.looking for his attacker. What I have learnt here today, in

:03:52. > :03:55.Tottenham, is that this comlunity is becoming increasingly intimhdated by

:03:56. > :04:00.right`wing extremismism that is crossing borders and `` extremism

:04:01. > :04:04.that is crossing borders and settling on London's streets.

:04:05. > :04:12.Vulnerable children and young people with mental health problems in the

:04:13. > :04:15.capital are not getting enotgh support. It is calling for ` Royal

:04:16. > :04:21.Commission. Gareth Furby can tell us more. What

:04:22. > :04:25.does the report say? Well, the report considers evidence from some

:04:26. > :04:29.20 London children who are leant to be cared for by social servhce

:04:30. > :04:33.departments, but because it is said those departments were in crisis,

:04:34. > :04:38.children ended up slipping through the safety net. Consider just two

:04:39. > :04:43.examples ` a six`year`old boy, left with his mother, who was addicted to

:04:44. > :04:48.crack cocaine and he ended tp relying on a neighbour for food and

:04:49. > :04:53.shelter and a teenage girl left with her father who introduced hdr to men

:04:54. > :04:58.who sexually abused her. What are the authors calling for?

:04:59. > :05:02.Well, the suggestion is that some departments are at breaking point,

:05:03. > :05:06.with case loads that are dangerously high. The authors are not s`ying

:05:07. > :05:11.that more money is the solution Instead, what they are callhng for

:05:12. > :05:15.is a Royal Commission to ex`mine the whole role of social servicds. When

:05:16. > :05:18.this report is published tolorrow, we will see what reaction the

:05:19. > :05:24.Government has. Thank you very much for that.

:05:25. > :05:27.The Fire Brigades Union has defended its strike over The Weekend,

:05:28. > :05:35.following the death of a man who was trapped in a burning house hn Welwyn

:05:36. > :05:42.Garden City. The chief officer said it took longer to reach the scene

:05:43. > :05:45.because crews 500 yards awax were on strike. Members were shocked and

:05:46. > :05:51.saddened by the man's death. The number of people on Housing Benefit,

:05:52. > :05:56.evicted by private landlords has tripled in London over the past five

:05:57. > :06:00.years. It is believed the ctts to welfare payments and rising rents

:06:01. > :06:04.are to blame. Charities say the short yoij of social housing is the

:06:05. > :06:08.biggest cause of homelessness in the capital. The Government says it has

:06:09. > :06:12.put aside ?1 billion to help struggling families. London

:06:13. > :06:15.Underground has simplified the process for customers seeking a

:06:16. > :06:21.refund if their train is late. Passengers can enter the details of

:06:22. > :06:25.their delayed train online, without providing all their personal and

:06:26. > :06:33.Oyster card details. Refunds will be given for Tube and DLR trains which

:06:34. > :06:40.are more than 15 minutes late. That is if it was out of their control.

:06:41. > :06:48.I will leave you with Wendy, who has the weather forecast.

:06:49. > :06:52.and it will be warm again. Perhaps a couple of degrees down from the 26

:06:53. > :07:00.we saw west of London today. Still one or two showers knocking around.

:07:01. > :07:07.Mostly for excess and into Kent `` Essex and into Kent as well. It will

:07:08. > :07:10.be muggy again. 12`15 Celsits. Not the most comfortable temper`tures

:07:11. > :07:15.for sleeping. Through the d`y tomorrow, we'll have hazy stnshine.

:07:16. > :07:19.We will perhaps see one or two showers in the afternoon. They will

:07:20. > :07:24.be pretty well isolated. Ond or two might be on the heavy side. We

:07:25. > :07:29.should avoid the worst of them. Temperatures up to 24 Celsits. On

:07:30. > :07:31.the outlook, we have a fine day for Wednesday. Towards the end of The

:07:32. > :07:41.Week, it will Good evening to you. Well, for many

:07:42. > :07:48.of us, another fine day, a nice start to The Week, but not such a

:07:49. > :07:55.great end to Monday because across East Anglia and the south-east we

:07:56. > :07:58.had thunderstorms. Some big downpours, for example, over

:07:59. > :08:02.Cambridgeshire. Most of us missed that and it was a fine end to the

:08:03. > :08:06.day. Let's get on with the forecast. Tomorrow, more warm sunshine. It

:08:07. > :08:07.will be warm over the south of the country. If
