:00:00. > :00:00.that is it from us for today. More on the stories on the BBC News

:00:00. > :00:10.channel now, the news where ever you are.

:00:11. > :00:21.The Queen's Jubilee Barge has been snubbed by the people of Richmond,

:00:22. > :00:24.who've decided not to give the 'Gloriana' a permanant home

:00:25. > :00:30.It's after the local council received so many objections

:00:31. > :00:32.they decided to scrap the idea, before the consultation had ended.

:00:33. > :00:50.And, in place in the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations. -- Gloriana,

:00:51. > :00:57.pride of place. Two years on, the barge cannot find a Hermond home.

:00:58. > :01:00.The canal would have cut in here, taking out of the cafe and all the

:01:01. > :01:07.playground. It would've been disaster. Campaigners here in

:01:08. > :01:11.Twickenham have just defeated the design and plans for the barge to

:01:12. > :01:16.move here. We have nothing against the Gloriana. But truth is, in such

:01:17. > :01:20.a small space, it would have destroyed the playground and the

:01:21. > :01:24.cafe and it would have changed the space completely for us. It would

:01:25. > :01:27.have become more of a theme park. A public consultation on plans

:01:28. > :01:33.included a boat house, visitor centre and a new cafe, is not even

:01:34. > :01:38.finished. At the local council, which agreed to contribute up to ?1

:01:39. > :01:41.million, says it has now pulled the plug because of overwhelming

:01:42. > :01:46.opposition. I think it is a shame. It is a beautiful vessel designed by

:01:47. > :01:53.a local boat builder. It would have been wonderful for local children to

:01:54. > :01:59.learn a bit more about how it was built. But it seems to many locals

:02:00. > :02:04.thought this was the wrong place for the barge. If Gloriana is not coming

:02:05. > :02:10.here to Richmond, where exactly can she find a permanent home? Upriver,

:02:11. > :02:16.in Kingston, and downriver in Hounslow, they have both expressed

:02:17. > :02:20.an interest. Gloriana's trustees confirmed that other locations will

:02:21. > :02:23.be explored but for now she is languishing in a dock in east

:02:24. > :02:28.London. And in glorious legacy for the Queen's barge.

:02:29. > :02:31.Scotland Yard is urgently on the look out for two men, who disguised

:02:32. > :02:34.themselves as Metropolitan police officers to trick their way into a

:02:35. > :02:37.They went to a house on Charterhouse Avenue

:02:38. > :02:40.in Wembley last night - before handcuffing one of the occupants.

:02:41. > :02:42.The fake officers, wearing full uniform,

:02:43. > :02:50.Millions of Londoners - who earn roughly between ?25,00

:02:51. > :02:55.and ?45,000 are said to be struggling to make ends meet.

:02:56. > :02:59.A report out tomorrow says there's an urgent need to make our city more

:03:00. > :03:07.Here's our Political Editor, Tim Donovan.

:03:08. > :03:13.Lucy is an admin assistant earning ?24,000 a year. A single parent with

:03:14. > :03:19.a 12-year-old daughter. My hooker was condemned a few months ago. I

:03:20. > :03:23.have not been able to get a new one. -- my cooker. It is quite a big

:03:24. > :03:28.expenditure. That is hardly having left at the end of the month for me

:03:29. > :03:32.to be able to save. According to a recent report, as many as one in

:03:33. > :03:36.five Londoners are only making ends meet with no disposable income left

:03:37. > :03:40.after they have paid for transport, housing and childcare. Costs need to

:03:41. > :03:46.be ridge used and income is raised, but amending a shake-up of working

:03:47. > :03:55.credit. As well as loans for more sharing, low-interest loans for

:03:56. > :04:00.commuter season tickets and more low cost house building. We need to have

:04:01. > :04:09.minimum wage zones, we need to have more housing built. He identifies

:04:10. > :04:13.the trapped middle as the ?25,0 0 to ?43,000, and one of the things you

:04:14. > :04:17.certainly do not do is increase incomes tax on those earning

:04:18. > :04:22.?26,000. Lucy wonders how long term she can stay in London. At the

:04:23. > :04:27.moment I have ?3 in my account and ?20 of savings. We're living pay

:04:28. > :04:29.cheque to pay cheque. What do you do? It is hard.

:04:30. > :04:31.Lucy Mpofu ending that report from Tim Donovan.

:04:32. > :04:36.A look at the weather now, with Wendy.

:04:37. > :04:41.It is clouding over out there at the moment and might even be a spot or

:04:42. > :04:45.two of rain first thing tomorrow morning. Still the risks of a

:04:46. > :04:50.shower, but mostly it is going to be dry. There will be decent, sunny

:04:51. > :04:54.spells but temperatures will reach 21 Celsius. And think we will exceed

:04:55. > :04:55.that later in the week, we could be getting 25.

:04:56. > :05:06.From the BBC London weekend team, have a very good night.

:05:07. > :05:12.It looks like another fine, settled week of weather on the cards for

:05:13. > :05:15.many of us. But there is a bit of a blip of the week begins. We're

:05:16. > :05:20.watching a weather system come across the North Sea, feeding in

:05:21. > :05:24.plenty of cloud. By the end of the night, southern fringes will have

:05:25. > :05:30.clear spells. There is hill fog around and eventually, outbreaks of

:05:31. > :05:33.rain and drizzle. Fog patches for south-east England and Northern

:05:34. > :05:38.Ireland. Not a cold night. One way or another, it is a great, murky

:05:39. > :05:43.start. Those conditions will stay with us in parts of north-east

:05:44. > :05:48.England and Scotland. Elsewhere we will gradually improve, seeing sunny

:05:49. > :05:52.spells developing. A fine afternoon in southern England and Wales,

:05:53. > :05:54.pleasantly warm in the sunshine The odd shower staying
