:00:16. > :00:21.It will bring London in lind with other major world cities like

:00:22. > :00:25.But already the RMT Union s`ys the plans haven't been propdrly

:00:26. > :00:28.thought through, meaning safety will be compromised.

:00:29. > :00:38.Here's our transport correspondent, Tom Edwards.

:00:39. > :00:41.After midnight has always mdant a rush for the last Tube hole

:00:47. > :00:51.I'm from Denmark and everything runs 24 hours`a`day.

:00:52. > :00:53.I think it is a worthwhile investment.

:00:54. > :00:56.It will definitely be better than having to get the night bus home

:00:57. > :01:00.The plan is to run six trains an hour on the Jubilee,

:01:01. > :01:02.Victoria and most of the Piccadilly and Central lines.

:01:03. > :01:05.And eight trains an hour on the Northern line.

:01:06. > :01:09.Tube bosses claim it will boost the night`time economy and

:01:10. > :01:15.Initially this plan for a 24`hour Tube was tied

:01:22. > :01:29.The RMT Union have today announced an overtime ban for its members

:01:30. > :01:32.All of the unions, though, say there have been no detahled

:01:33. > :01:38.Are you being high`handed about this?

:01:39. > :01:43.I mean, this is great in terms of creating

:01:44. > :01:46.jobs within London Undergrotnd, jobs for people across London's dconomy.

:01:47. > :01:50.Of course, there are some ddtails still to iron out but I'm absolutely

:01:51. > :01:54.convinced we can do this and I know that because we need more drivers

:01:55. > :01:57.overnight, we will need staff on stations because we are absolutely

:01:58. > :01:59.committed to having visible staff on all of our stations.

:02:00. > :02:01.This will be welcomed by our employees

:02:02. > :02:06.The unions say they are behhnd the plans in principle but do have

:02:07. > :02:12.They learned of the start date through the ledia.

:02:13. > :02:15.It's typical of the approach that comes from the Mayor's Office

:02:16. > :02:18.They are very good at announcing things

:02:19. > :02:23.There are very detailed discussions that need to happen

:02:24. > :02:27.about the impact on staff and the impact on passengers.

:02:28. > :02:29.And the current pay deal runs out in April.

:02:30. > :02:32.This will certainly affect those negotiations.

:02:33. > :02:41.But this could be just the beginning for a 24`hour Tube in the c`pital.

:02:42. > :02:43.A man will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court

:02:44. > :02:46.tomorrow charged with consphring to murder coalition forces in Hraq

:02:47. > :02:50.Anis Abid Sardar, from North West London, is accused in connection

:02:51. > :02:59.A teenage boy has shown a jtry at the Old Bailey how he was waving

:03:00. > :03:02.a gun in Hackney in front of his girlfriend when it "accidentally"

:03:03. > :03:06.15`year`old Shereka Marsh dhed after being shot in the neck at a

:03:46. > :03:48.The Latvian was jailed for killing his wife before he moved to Britain.

:03:49. > :03:52.He was last seen about a wedk after Alice disappeared.

:03:53. > :04:00.Jenny Hill sent this report from Riga.

:04:01. > :04:07.It has been almost a month since Alice Gross disappeared. Thdse CCTV

:04:08. > :04:11.images show the 14`year`old walking in West London on August thd 28th.

:04:12. > :04:17.Her family have not seen or heard from her since. This is the man

:04:18. > :04:22.police have named as the prhme suspect in her disappearancd. Arnis

:04:23. > :04:27.Zalkalns has also vanished. He is a builder from Latvia and he hs a

:04:28. > :04:33.convicted killer. This is the street in Riga where Mr Zalkalns used to

:04:34. > :04:41.live. Detectives think it is possible he has returned to Latvia

:04:42. > :04:47.where, 16 years ago, he was jailed for the murder of his wife. The

:04:48. > :04:50.Metropolitan Police are now in Latvia working with their L`tvian

:04:51. > :04:56.counterparts. But it now might not be possible for them to arrdst Mr

:04:57. > :05:02.Crumb and Mac even if they find him here. No European arrest warrant has

:05:03. > :05:09.been issued. `` Mr Zalkalns even if they find him. There are no

:05:10. > :05:14.investigations here in Latvha so there is no reason to put hhm into

:05:15. > :05:19.custody because there has bden no crime committed in the Latvhan

:05:20. > :05:21.jurisdiction. And that is something Mr Zalkalns's brother says people

:05:22. > :05:27.must remember. TRANSLATION: What I have known and

:05:28. > :05:32.what I have read completely different. What everybody is looking

:05:33. > :05:37.for is a sensation, that he is a monster, a villain, because that is

:05:38. > :05:43.what they want. The search for Alice Gross goes on. It is a huge police

:05:44. > :05:50.operation. Tomorrow, detecthves will stage a construction of her last

:05:51. > :05:54.known movements. And in her community, yellow ribbons for a

:05:55. > :05:56.missing girl. Police say thdre is no evidence that she has come to harm

:06:01. > :06:02.which features black perforlers tied up in chains as part of

:06:03. > :06:05.a human zoo has been cancelled after Exhibit B was due to open at

:06:06. > :06:10.The Vaults arts space in Lalbeth. But the show has been cancelled

:06:11. > :06:12.as organisers say the demonstration means thex can no

:06:13. > :06:15.longer guarantee the safety That's it from me.

:06:16. > :06:31.Let's get the weather forec`st now. This September has turned ott so

:06:32. > :06:35.mild? Yes Row, more warmth to come by day at least, including the

:06:36. > :06:38.weekend, but we pay for the clear skies overnight with fairly low

:06:39. > :06:43.temperatures, so a chilly one tonight but then we're back into the

:06:44. > :06:46.sunshine for a time tomorrow till cloud spreads in from the

:06:47. > :06:50.north`west. Clear skies out there at the moment with only the odd bit of

:06:51. > :06:54.cloud drifting through. Winds falling light said temperattres

:06:55. > :07:02.already dipping away. In thd towns and cities, we will hold up to eight

:07:03. > :07:06.or 9 degrees. `` falling light so temperatures already dipping. A

:07:07. > :07:09.bright and crisp start tomorrow but cloud gradually increasing `s the

:07:10. > :07:13.day goes on. It might be thhck enough to give the odd spot of rain

:07:14. > :07:17.in the north of town but temperatures up to 18, similar to

:07:18. > :07:22.recent days. We keep those going into the weekend as well. Some fine

:07:23. > :07:35.Good evening. Many of us had some welcome rain for the gardens

:07:36. > :07:37.overnight. But away from the north-west, rain doesn't feature

:07:38. > :07:41.heavily in the forecast for the next few days. We did have some good

:07:42. > :07:48.sunshine. These were captured by Ted Williams. This is north of Swansea.

:07:49. > :07:52.But over the next few days, including tomorrow, things look

:07:53. > :07:57.cloudier and breezy as the next set of weather fronts move in. It looks

:07:58. > :08:02.as if it will peter out. The heaviest will be over the hills and

:08:03. > :08:06.mountains. What we will find is after an initial drop in

:08:07. > :08:10.temperature, the cloud will lift the temperatures again, whilst in

:08:11. > :08:15.southern areas, it is already turning chilly. Those temperatures

:08:16. > :08:18.could get within a few degrees of freezing. Some value
