:00:20. > :00:22.pour in from across the world but we are still waiting for a name.

:00:22. > :00:29.Here at Buckingham Palace, a special tribute during changing of the

:00:29. > :00:33.guard. The royal couple thank staff for

:00:33. > :00:38.their tremendous care but will have to wait until this evening at the

:00:38. > :00:41.earliest for a first glimpse at the baby. A wave from the hospital, a

:00:41. > :00:47.ringing endorsement from Prince Charles, a grandfather for the first

:00:47. > :00:52.time. It is wonderful for the grandfather committee is brilliant

:00:52. > :00:56.with children so he will have a wonderful time. We will have the

:00:56. > :00:59.latest on the royal baby from here and around the UK.

:00:59. > :01:03.The other headlines, a man is charged with murdering a grandfather

:01:03. > :01:07.from Birmingham and with three counts of terrorism.

:01:07. > :01:17.More help for house-buyers, the Chancellor needs dildos and lenders

:01:23. > :01:33.Manufacturers across the region gets set to commemorate the royal birth

:01:33. > :01:56.

:01:56. > :02:01.from Buckingham Palace, as a day of private and public celebrations held

:02:01. > :02:04.to mark the birth of the sun to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He

:02:04. > :02:09.royal couple have spent the night with their newborn at St Mary's

:02:09. > :02:14.Hospital and have thanked the staff for the tremendous care they have

:02:14. > :02:16.received. Hundreds of photographers and broadcasters from around the

:02:16. > :02:26.world are outside the hospital hoping for a first glimpse of the

:02:26. > :02:29.

:02:29. > :02:39.Buckingham Palace this morning, the changing of the guard and a change

:02:39. > :02:43.to the programme of music. Congratulations, a familiar tune

:02:43. > :02:48.reflecting a widespread sentiment as the country marked the birth of

:02:48. > :02:52.William and Catherine's son. At St Mary's Hospital, where the

:02:52. > :02:54.inevitable baby themed presents were being delivered, the massed ranks of

:02:54. > :02:59.the international media were watching and waiting and hoping that

:02:59. > :03:03.the couple would leave the hospital with their son later today. There is

:03:03. > :03:13.no sign of it happening so far. A statement was issued from William

:03:13. > :03:22.

:03:22. > :03:29.got? In Yorkshire, a new grandfather was relishing his role. It is very

:03:29. > :03:36.exciting. So was the new stepgrandmother. I think it is

:03:36. > :03:39.wonderful. The mother, son, father, are all doing well and it is a

:03:39. > :03:45.wonderfully uplifting moment for the country, it is very exciting. It is

:03:45. > :03:55.wonderful for the grandfather, use brilliant with children so he will

:03:55. > :04:02.

:04:02. > :04:05.have a wonderful time. -- he is message from Buckingham Palace was a

:04:05. > :04:13.signal to celebrate. Blue was the colour being deployed.

:04:13. > :04:18.Over at the London eye it was a patriotically red white and blue.

:04:18. > :04:25.This was the marking of the birth of a few Germanic. The Prime Minister

:04:25. > :04:29.recalled how he had heard the news. We had the thrilling news about the

:04:29. > :04:33.royal baby, very exciting to get the phone call from Buckingham Palace,

:04:33. > :04:38.being told that everything was good and fine. A very exciting day for

:04:38. > :04:42.our country. I want to send my warmest congratulations to the Duke

:04:42. > :04:46.and Duchess of Cambridge and I wish them and their new baby boy all the

:04:46. > :04:52.health and happiness in the world. People right across Britain will be

:04:52. > :04:57.absolutely delighted for them. at St Mary's Hospital, the rain had

:04:57. > :05:01.started. Mother, son and father were all said to be doing well but there

:05:01. > :05:06.was still no word of a departure, no sign of as it is, no hint of what

:05:06. > :05:12.the baby might be called. Might he be a James, George, Henry or Philip

:05:12. > :05:15.or something else. That is something only known at this stage to his

:05:15. > :05:21.parents and they are remaining out of sight with their son, inside the

:05:21. > :05:25.hospital. Let's go straight to the hospital

:05:25. > :05:31.because of royal correspondent is there. It seems that the waiting

:05:31. > :05:35.will go on a little longer. Yes, those eager to know the name of the

:05:35. > :05:41.Prince of Cambridge will have to wait a little while longer. That

:05:41. > :05:45.name is not in the public domain. And those eager for a glimpse of

:05:45. > :05:50.this one-day-old Prince will also have to wait. The couple, after

:05:50. > :05:53.having spent a night at this private wing, are spending much of the day.

:05:53. > :05:57.They are said to be well but they are waiting for the green light from

:05:57. > :06:02.the medical team. Once the medical team are happy, they will leave. It

:06:02. > :06:07.will not be before 6pm this evening or possibly tomorrow morning. They

:06:07. > :06:13.are adjusting to and enjoying family life. While they do that, the

:06:13. > :06:17.congratulations flow in. This little addition, his great aunt gave her

:06:17. > :06:20.celebratory message in typically direct and forthright fashion. She

:06:20. > :06:30.said to reporters, this is Princess and, it is nothing to do with me but

:06:30. > :06:35.

:06:35. > :06:41.expected to spend much of their time in animated quarters at Kensington

:06:41. > :06:44.Palace where William and Harry grew up. Comparisons have been drawn

:06:44. > :06:51.between the childhood of the two princes and the future that awaits

:06:51. > :06:54.baby Cambridge. Kensington Palace, a resident of the

:06:54. > :06:58.British Royal Family since the 17th century and now home to a new

:06:58. > :07:03.generation of Royals. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with the new

:07:03. > :07:13.Prince, will eventually live in apartment 18, a 24 room house within

:07:13. > :07:17.the palace. -- apartment one a. Kensington Palace was his childhood

:07:17. > :07:22.home am aware he lived with his parents and then with his mother

:07:22. > :07:25.after their divorce, and Prince Harry. This baby will live in

:07:25. > :07:31.palaces, not just because they are comfortable but also because they

:07:31. > :07:37.are safe. Control over access to the baby absolutely lies in the hands of

:07:37. > :07:40.William and Kate. His early school life happened locally, at Wetherby

:07:40. > :07:45.prep school in nearby Notting Hill. The young Prince William quickly

:07:45. > :07:49.grew used to the cameras. An experience that will undoubtedly

:07:49. > :07:54.make him protective of his young son. But if the wait for the birth

:07:54. > :08:00.is any indication, there will be an insatiable media appetite for

:08:00. > :08:03.pictures and news of this baby boy. In the never-ending battle between

:08:03. > :08:08.the palace and the media, the palace has had the upper hand. After what

:08:08. > :08:17.happened with Diana, the palace is a protective of privacy. The

:08:17. > :08:23.mainstream media in Britain don't push at the moment. It was once the

:08:23. > :08:26.home of Princess Margaret and the palace remains a pretty full royal

:08:26. > :08:31.residence. It is currently the London base of the tents and the

:08:31. > :08:39.Gloucester 's. It is as home to the Cambridge is that this place will

:08:39. > :08:44.now be known. Home to two future kings.

:08:44. > :08:48.The birth has been celebrated at events here and across Britain but

:08:48. > :08:51.one place with a special connection that is celebrating the new royal

:08:51. > :09:01.prince is the village where the Duchess grew up, at Bucklebury in

:09:01. > :09:02.

:09:02. > :09:05.Berkshire. Sophie, there will be people who are

:09:05. > :09:08.utterly fed up with the coverage but you would be hard pressed to find

:09:08. > :09:12.anyone in Bucklebury and hard-pressed to find anyone at the

:09:12. > :09:17.village school. It is the end of term, the end of the school year, it

:09:17. > :09:22.has been hot, the were getting tired. This morning they came back

:09:22. > :09:30.with sparkly eyes and full of excitement. Who knows what time he

:09:30. > :09:35.was born? They have been following every detail at Bucklebury primary.

:09:35. > :09:38.They are proud that their village has played a part in royal history.

:09:38. > :09:43.Maybe some of you sitting in the front will be able to watch him

:09:43. > :09:46.being crowned King of England, went that the exciting? That you will

:09:46. > :09:55.remember when you are very small in school, you will remember the day he

:09:55. > :10:00.was born. That is a big smile! No sign of tiredness at the school

:10:00. > :10:05.gates, despite a very late night. Everybody takes Kate into their

:10:05. > :10:09.hearts, and William. She is a local girl, she uses the local pub, the

:10:09. > :10:14.shops when she is here. People feel like they own her, slightly, I

:10:14. > :10:19.guess, but in a kind way. She is allowed to be her own person when

:10:19. > :10:26.she is here. People respect her privacy, too. Will you be looking

:10:26. > :10:30.out for the baby? Absolutely. My husband has the cycle route planned,

:10:30. > :10:39.he is planning a detour around the lanes, to check it out. To see the

:10:39. > :10:44.baby. He might hear it, perhaps, late at night. How about this for a

:10:44. > :10:53.birth announcement, courtesy of the crew of HMS Lancaster. On patrol in

:10:53. > :10:57.the Caribbean. Congratulations.And this from Prince William's RAF

:10:57. > :11:01.search and rescue colleagues. William, Duchess, congratulations on

:11:01. > :11:09.the birth of your baby boy. I hope you enjoy your paternity leave and

:11:09. > :11:15.we will see you on shift soon. At Birmingham heartlands Hospital,

:11:15. > :11:21.Tyler has no idea that he shares a birthday with a future king. Like

:11:21. > :11:24.all babies born yesterday, he will get a silver coin to prove it. This

:11:24. > :11:31.lady's daughter will also get one but she was far too busy dealing

:11:31. > :11:37.with her own delivery to worry about the royal birth. My husband did say,

:11:37. > :11:43.Kate has gone into labour and I said, which Kate? He said, Prince

:11:43. > :11:46.William's wife! I said, give me more gas and air! First thing this

:11:46. > :11:51.morning in the Duchy of Cornwall, a traditional way to welcome Royal

:11:51. > :11:55.baby. Back in Bucklebury, normal lessons have been suspended, so the

:11:55. > :12:02.children can make cards. Another special delivery for the Middletons

:12:02. > :12:05.just up the road. As they dance around in the

:12:05. > :12:10.playground this lunchtime they keep asking, is there a name yet? That is

:12:10. > :12:14.what they want to know. The favourites from the playground are

:12:14. > :12:18.Charles, Edward or George. All Ethan, but apparently because there

:12:18. > :12:28.is a popular member of the school called Easson, rather than for any

:12:28. > :12:36.

:12:36. > :12:42.A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of an 82-year-old

:12:42. > :12:45.man in Birmingham. A student from the Ukraine is acute of killing the

:12:46. > :12:53.man as he returned from a mosque in April. The 25-year-old was also

:12:53. > :13:03.charged with planting explosives in a mosque and other terrorist related

:13:03. > :13:04.

:13:04. > :13:08.is accused of terrorist offences against Muslims in the UK. He is

:13:08. > :13:12.alleged to have murdered an 82-year-old man in April, as he

:13:12. > :13:20.walked home from a mosque in Birmingham. The killing happened in

:13:20. > :13:28.small fees, where the grandfather lived with his family. It has been

:13:28. > :13:38.difficult for the last few months. We have taken his death personally

:13:38. > :13:40.

:13:40. > :13:46.and it has been very hard for all of us. Pavlo Lapshyn was arrested at a

:13:46. > :13:51.Birmingham software company, just after he had started work there. He

:13:51. > :13:55.appeared in the dock flanked by three police officers, saying little

:13:55. > :13:59.apart from confirming his name and date of birth. As well as being

:13:59. > :14:03.accused of the murder of Mohammed Saleem committee also been charged

:14:03. > :14:08.with terrorist offences relating to the bombing of three mosques in the

:14:08. > :14:12.West Midlands. He is also charged with making equipment including

:14:12. > :14:18.explosive chemicals and modified mobile phones. Explosives were

:14:18. > :14:21.discovered outside mosques in Wolverhampton, Tipton and Walsall.

:14:21. > :14:30.Tech tips travelled to Ukraine. Pavlo Lapshyn will appear at the Old

:14:30. > :14:34.Bailey in two days time -- detectives travelled to Ukraine. The

:14:34. > :14:39.luxury car-maker Bentley is to produce a new model at its factory

:14:40. > :14:44.in Cheshire, creating more than a thousand jobs. 800 million will be

:14:44. > :14:53.invested to develop and build its first 4x4 style sports utility

:14:53. > :14:56.vehicle. The new model will go on sale in 2016.

:14:56. > :15:00.Research out today indicates white teenagers and now less likely to

:15:01. > :15:05.apply to university than youngsters from any other ethnic group. This

:15:05. > :15:09.year, 29% of white state educated students in England have applied,

:15:09. > :15:19.composed with 40% of students with an Asian background and 34% of black

:15:19. > :15:24.students. That is up from 27%. Our education correspondent Michael

:15:24. > :15:29.Buchanan is here. What is the reason for these differences? This shows

:15:29. > :15:36.that the overall number of students applying to university is up this

:15:36. > :15:41.year, having fallen last year. But it detailed analysis of these

:15:41. > :15:46.figures shows that whether you apply to university is strongly linked to

:15:46. > :15:50.your colour, gender, where you live, and how much your parents earn.

:15:50. > :15:55.Those with richer parents are more likely to apply. London and Northern

:15:55. > :16:00.Ireland have much higher rates of application than teenagers in the

:16:00. > :16:07.north-east and south-west, for instance. 29% of white teenagers,

:16:07. > :16:11.whilst it is up to 50 -- 57% of teenagers from a Chinese background.

:16:11. > :16:17.And combating the differences that are pinpointed here, is it clear how

:16:17. > :16:23.that can be done? The number of white poor teenagers going to

:16:23. > :16:27.university is up, it is just not as big an increase as it is from other

:16:27. > :16:31.backgrounds. That is because of outreach programmes from

:16:31. > :16:35.universities trying to encourage people to look at the merits of

:16:35. > :16:39.going to university. The head of Ofsted, the chief inspector of

:16:39. > :16:43.schools in England, spoke last year of an anti-school culture having

:16:43. > :16:49.developed over decades among boys in poor white areas, and that will have

:16:49. > :16:52.to be tackled, because if you don't value school, you won't value

:16:52. > :16:55.university. Michael, thank you. The Iraqi

:16:55. > :17:04.Ministry of Justice has formed a special committee to investigate the

:17:04. > :17:09.escape of around 500 inmates from Abu grave. It includes some

:17:09. > :17:13.dangerous leaders who have been sentenced to death. It is believed

:17:13. > :17:23.that the prison guards helped some to escape. Thunderstorms sparked by

:17:23. > :17:24.

:17:24. > :17:31.the humid Rever -- the humid weather have caused travel difficulties, and

:17:31. > :17:35.this time-lapse film was filmed in London over a two-hour period.

:17:35. > :17:41.David Cameron has again indicated the public sport -- support for

:17:41. > :17:46.Britain remaining part of the European Union is wafer thin. He

:17:46. > :17:49.said it would be a mistake to have a referendum now, but he believed he

:17:49. > :17:55.could negotiate a better deal for Britain in Europe, and put that to

:17:55. > :17:59.people in 2017. Carole Walker, tell us more about what the Prime

:17:59. > :18:04.Minister has been saying. David Cameron was asking questions

:18:04. > :18:07.from workers at the Bentley factory in Crewe, and asked whether he

:18:07. > :18:11.thought the promise of Aref Rendon could create uncertainty and put off

:18:11. > :18:18.foreign investors. He was able to point to that news that you

:18:18. > :18:23.mentioned a few minutes ago - more German investment meaning another

:18:23. > :18:27.factory being built, and more jobs coming from that. But he said was

:18:27. > :18:30.important to recognise that public support for our membership of the U

:18:30. > :18:35.is wafer thin. His argument is that you can't just vary your head in the

:18:35. > :18:40.sand over this, it is important to face up to it and change the way

:18:40. > :18:43.Europe works, make it more efficient, more outward looking, and

:18:43. > :18:47.he said he felt that the sounding as he had got from other European

:18:47. > :18:51.partners meant that if he wins the general election, he will be able to

:18:51. > :19:00.negotiate a better deal for Britain, and then when that referendum by the

:19:00. > :19:05.end of 2017. -- win the referendum. Tens of thousands of people have

:19:05. > :19:11.welcomed Pope Francis to Brazil on his first foreign visit as the head

:19:11. > :19:14.of the Catholic Church. There were protests against the visit within

:19:14. > :19:24.hours of his arrival in re-engineering.

:19:24. > :19:24.

:19:24. > :19:32.The Pope's entourage had barely arrived when a tense stand-off

:19:32. > :19:37.erupted. -- in Rio de Janeiro. Riot police responded in overwhelming

:19:37. > :19:42.numbers to what has become a pattern of confrontation between the two

:19:42. > :19:46.sides. This is not the image the government of Brazil or the state of

:19:46. > :19:51.Rio de Janeiro would have wanted portrayed on such an important

:19:51. > :19:56.night. The Pope has just left the Governors Palace down this road

:19:56. > :20:01.about half a narrow go, and now we have this running battle between

:20:01. > :20:06.heavily armed riot police and anti-government protesters. The

:20:06. > :20:12.Pope's visit to Brazil had started in a much more relaxed atmosphere -

:20:12. > :20:14.to relaxed for some officials. When the small family car in which he was

:20:14. > :20:21.travelling was surrounded by well-wishers and supporters, things

:20:21. > :20:25.got a bit too close for comfort. The car came to a halt several times in

:20:25. > :20:32.Rio's notorious traffic, but with his window wound down throughout,

:20:32. > :20:37.the pontiff seemed at ease. This was his first overseas trip, and hugely

:20:37. > :20:40.important on several levels. The Brazilian government will be anxious

:20:40. > :20:45.it isn't overshadowed by the trouble that has blighted Brazilian cities

:20:45. > :20:50.over the last month. It is a challenging time for the Church in

:20:50. > :20:54.Brazil, the most populous Catholic country. Taking part in several high

:20:54. > :20:59.profile events in the coming days, Pope Francis has made it clear he

:20:59. > :21:03.intends to meet as many of his followers as possible. He will keep

:21:03. > :21:08.well clear of commenting directly on Brazil's delicate internal problems,

:21:08. > :21:14.but has already told his host about the importance of showing

:21:14. > :21:21.consideration for each other. How's builders and lenders have been

:21:21. > :21:25.meeting George Osborne to discuss plans to make billions of pounds of

:21:25. > :21:33.mortgages available to people who can't afford large deposits -- house

:21:33. > :21:37.builders. Simon Gompertz is here. Do we know any more about the details?

:21:37. > :21:41.What we already have is a help to buy scheme which is already helping

:21:41. > :21:45.thousands of people to buy newly built homes. What we are hearing

:21:45. > :21:50.more about is a massive extension of that is to help buyers of older

:21:50. > :21:54.homes, most of the market. It will be a bit like when you get a

:21:54. > :22:00.mortgage but your family guarantees it to get you a better deal, except

:22:00. > :22:04.the guarantee will come from the government, and therefore for the --

:22:04. > :22:13.from the taxpayer. The hope is that will mean more affordable mortgages

:22:13. > :22:16.for people who can only afford a small deposit. It is aimed directly

:22:16. > :22:20.at families watching this programme who can't afford to move up on the

:22:20. > :22:24.housing ladder, can't afford to buy their first home because of problems

:22:24. > :22:30.in the mortgage market, not because they themselves cannot afford to buy

:22:30. > :22:33.a new home. It is not for second homes, they won't be allowed. And it

:22:33. > :22:37.will help a situation where the number of first-time buyers is half

:22:37. > :22:42.what it was five years ago. There has been a lot of concern that this

:22:42. > :22:47.might concern -- create an unsustainable bubble in the housing

:22:47. > :22:49.market, but the Chancellor was keen to emphasise today that they will be

:22:49. > :22:53.stringent checks on borrowers to make sure there is no reckless

:22:53. > :22:58.lending, and the Treasury has been pointing out that they don't think

:22:58. > :23:06.we are anywhere near our bubble yet. Simon, thank you. This time last

:23:06. > :23:11.year, building -- Britain was building up to the start of the

:23:11. > :23:19.Olympics. And next year, the Commonwealth games begins in

:23:19. > :23:25.Glasgow. Our Scotland corresponded Laura Becker is in Glasgow for us.

:23:25. > :23:32.This is the newly revamped National hockey Centre, one of the 17 new

:23:38. > :23:45.practising here are in the young Scotland squad. The organisers of

:23:45. > :23:48.the Games hope it will inspire and discover new talent.

:23:48. > :23:57.Training to ride on the track is not your average day out, but the newly

:23:57. > :24:05.built Sir Chris Hoyt cap velodrome has proved to be as popular as the

:24:05. > :24:08.man himself. What would you like to say to him? I think you are very

:24:08. > :24:14.good cyclist, and I wish I was like you.

:24:14. > :24:21.He may not be completing -- competing next year, but as a games

:24:21. > :24:29.ambassador, he is determined that it will be an event to rival London

:24:29. > :24:35.2012. It is inspiring when you see an event up close. Watching it on TV

:24:35. > :24:42.is great, but seeing it is live is a different thing altogether. It has

:24:42. > :24:46.been six years since Glasgow won the bet -- the bid. In that time, three

:24:46. > :24:53.new venues have been built. The bill will add up to over half 1 billion,

:24:53. > :24:57.but organisers say it has been money well spent. We already have all of

:24:57. > :25:02.our permanent sports events up and running, being used for the public.

:25:02. > :25:07.There is a legacy happening right now. The point of this city Centre

:25:07. > :25:10.party is detached tickets, which go on sale in just a few weeks. That

:25:10. > :25:19.will be the real test as to whether the public having gauged with these

:25:19. > :25:29.games. -- have engaged with these games. And if you fancy a ticket,

:25:29. > :25:31.they go on sale on August 19, with prices around the 15 mark for adult

:26:08. > :26:12.Matthew, thank you. The crowds are still from running to Buckingham

:26:12. > :26:16.Palace this afternoon to catch a glimpse of the official notice

:26:16. > :26:25.announcing the birth of the new baby Prince which is their in the

:26:25. > :26:28.forecourt of the palace. There will be a 41 gun salute in Hyde Park and

:26:28. > :26:33.62 rounds fired at the Tara London this afternoon. And at the same

:26:33. > :26:39.time, the ringing of the bells over Westminster Abbey. The royal baby

:26:39. > :26:46.has also been the focus of a lot of global media attention, as Ben

:26:46. > :26:51.Geoghegan now reports. A boy for William and K to. Across

:26:51. > :26:55.the world, the royal fairy tale is making headline news, and no doubt

:26:55. > :27:02.keeping millions of viewers glued. It has happened! It was worth the

:27:02. > :27:05.wait! In Australia, there was a breakfast TV toast with champagne.

:27:05. > :27:13.This is a Commonwealth country where the monarchy is often the subject of

:27:13. > :27:19.vigorous debate. We are wetting the baby's head. The arrival of the new

:27:19. > :27:23.British Prince has brought congratulations from all sides.

:27:23. > :27:31.Australia wishes the Royal baby all the best, and we wish the new

:27:31. > :27:33.parents all the best as well. This is a day of great joy. In New

:27:33. > :27:41.Zealand's capital, Wellington, they marked the occasion with a 21 gun

:27:41. > :27:46.salute. On the other side of the world, the bunting was brought out.

:27:46. > :27:50.Champagne and T1 on offer for a very British celebration in New York.

:27:50. > :27:55.America got rid of the monarchy, but they can't get enough of this Royal

:27:56. > :28:01.baby. Everyone in the world wants to be a princess when they are little,

:28:01. > :28:06.so seeing a real live princess and Prince, and now a baby Prince, it is

:28:06. > :28:11.really exciting. People just are happy to have something to

:28:11. > :28:16.celebrate. The bells rang out in Canada, the first country catered

:28:16. > :28:22.William went to on an official visit after their wedding. The tower was

:28:22. > :28:26.lit in blue to honour the birth, as were Niagara Falls. On the streets

:28:26. > :28:33.of Kingston, Jamaica, there were more well-wishers. It is good to

:28:33. > :28:38.know that a baby is born, and it is royalty. It means a lot to us, not

:28:38. > :28:42.only to me but to most of the Jamaican people. The new Prince has

:28:42. > :28:48.been born into a world where millions will follow his progress.

:28:48. > :28:53.What they want to know now is his name.

:28:53. > :29:03.The baby was born on the hottest day for seven years, a day of thunder,

:29:03. > :29:04.

:29:04. > :29:12.lightning, and today doesn't feel hours, a hottest day of the year so

:29:12. > :29:17.far followed by a thundery, rainy night. Do be aware that there could

:29:17. > :29:20.be further disruption, and that is what we saw this morning. Those

:29:20. > :29:27.bright red colours in the Manchester area indicative of torrential

:29:27. > :29:31.rainfall, thunder and lightning. But the rain is on the move, moving its

:29:31. > :29:37.way over North and East Woods. As it moves away, heavy showers follow

:29:37. > :29:45.along behind, but it is not a thundery day everywhere. Across the

:29:45. > :29:51.south-west, it is a reasonably decent day. So, this afternoon, in

:29:51. > :29:57.Scotland, we can expect a lot of cloud and rain at times as well.

:29:57. > :30:05.There could be some hail and thunder. And a similar situation

:30:05. > :30:08.across the North of England. The southeastern corner, temperatures up

:30:08. > :30:14.above 25 Celsius, the heatwave warning still in place, and there

:30:14. > :30:21.will be further heavy showers to come. Across the south-west, largely

:30:21. > :30:28.dry bar the odd shower in Cornwall. And some warmth to be found, 23 also

:30:28. > :30:33.in Cardiff. It changes again as we get towards Northern Ireland, back

:30:33. > :30:37.into the thundery area with some hefty showers. This evening and

:30:37. > :30:41.overnight, the emphasis shift eastwards, so eastern areas could be

:30:42. > :30:50.quite wet overnight. The Newcastle area of towards Edinburgh could

:30:50. > :30:53.potentially be very wet. Into tomorrow, the rain will slowly clear

:30:53. > :31:01.away from East Anglia, a longer process for the rain to clear from

:31:01. > :31:05.Scotland. It will be a day of sunny spells and showers. Many places

:31:05. > :31:11.enjoying a dry, bright day, and quite warm again. In Glasgow,

:31:11. > :31:15.possibly as high as 26. As for the rest of the week, Thursday and

:31:15. > :31:18.Friday, scattered thunderstorms, mostly in the north and west. The

:31:18. > :31:24.further south and east you are, that is where the best of the sunshine

:31:24. > :31:26.will be found. Over the next few days, don't forget that you can keep

:31:26. > :31:32.days, don't forget that you can keep up-to-date with the warnings online,

:31:32. > :31:37.now it is back to Buckingham Palace and Sophie. Thank you. A remand of

:31:37. > :31:42.our main story this lunchtime: Congratulations continue to pour in

:31:42. > :31:45.from across the world for the new Royal Prince. The Duke and Duchess
