:00:24. > :00:29.The helicopter was removed from the roof, revealing a first glimpse of

:00:30. > :00:33.the damage and debris inside. This incident has been very moving,

:00:34. > :00:36.very tragic for all the people concerned, for the rescuers as well.

:00:37. > :00:40.We will get the latest from the scene. Also this lunchtime.

:00:53. > :00:57.The Olympic diver Tom Daley says he is in a relationship with a man and

:00:58. > :01:00.says he couldn't be happier. People are going to have their

:01:01. > :01:06.opinions and I think people will make a big deal of this. I mean, is

:01:07. > :01:11.it a big deal? I don't think so. On BBC London. The mayor's cycling

:01:18. > :01:18.suggests one in five cyclists are quitting the roads over safety

:01:19. > :01:40.concerns. Good afternoon. Welcome to the BBC

:01:41. > :01:43.News at one. The bodies of victims of Friday's helicopter crash in

:01:44. > :01:47.Glasgow have been removed from the scene of the accident. Members of

:01:48. > :01:50.the emergency services formed a guard of honour as they were taken

:01:51. > :01:53.away. At least nine people are known to have been killed when the police

:01:54. > :01:58.helicopter crashed into the roof of the packed pub. Teams are searching

:01:59. > :02:04.inside to ensure no-one else was killed. Our correspondent is at the

:02:05. > :02:09.scene for us now. We We have learned that the body of

:02:10. > :02:14.a ninth person was taken from the pub, just within the last hour.

:02:15. > :02:17.Firefighters as you mentioned there are painstakingly searching through

:02:18. > :02:21.the rubble of the pub, just in case there are any further victim, that

:02:22. > :02:26.has been made more difficult by the fact the roof collapsed just as they

:02:27. > :02:31.removed the remains of the helicopter. But removing that

:02:32. > :02:39.aircraft has been so key to this investigation. For a moment this

:02:40. > :02:43.morning, this city held its breath. In the still, damp December air, the

:02:44. > :02:48.helicopter which had come down with such force, was gently lifted away.

:02:49. > :02:53.Those who saw this crash say the aircraft fell like a stone. And now,

:02:54. > :02:57.the destruction and the scale of the challenge here, is plain to see. The

:02:58. > :03:01.body of the ninth person has now been removed from the scene, and

:03:02. > :03:07.taken to the Southern General Hospital for formal identification.

:03:08. > :03:14.In duers, the wreckage of the helicopter will be removed, and will

:03:15. > :03:18.be taken for detailed examination and investigation by the Air

:03:19. > :03:22.Accidents Investigation Branch at the Farnborough facility. But for

:03:23. > :03:31.those desperate for news the pace of this operation has been frustrating.

:03:32. > :03:36.Last night, Marco's family came to is scene. Who were the people

:03:37. > :03:39.shouting? Did they get them out? We will never know the answer to that.

:03:40. > :03:44.The way things are going we are not getting an answer to anything. It is

:03:45. > :03:51.two days later and Mark is still in there. The ordinary guy in the

:03:52. > :03:54.street, to hell with health and safety.

:03:55. > :03:59.Gp but today, the extent of the devastation is becoming clearer. The

:04:00. > :04:02.removal of the fuselage intact should make the investigation

:04:03. > :04:05.easier, experts say three things could have brought down this

:04:06. > :04:11.helicopter, pilot error, mechanical failure, or engine problems.

:04:12. > :04:14.There is no black box onboard, Air Traffic Control data will give them

:04:15. > :04:19.something about the descent the the radar could see the helicopter over

:04:20. > :04:22.the city. There is a possibility with fuel supply problem but the

:04:23. > :04:25.eyewitness reports say the helicopter was spinning out of

:04:26. > :04:30.control, rather than descending rapidly, which would tend to point

:04:31. > :04:34.towards the tail row ter. This is the moment the families of those who

:04:35. > :04:38.died here have been hoping for, but also dreading.

:04:39. > :04:49.There is though, a great sense of the city of Glasgow standing

:04:50. > :04:54.alongside them, in support. Having spent several days at this

:04:55. > :04:57.scene, I can tell you the overwhelming emotion is ulter

:04:58. > :05:01.disbelief. When it comes to the removal of the helicopter, many

:05:02. > :05:06.people watched incredulous, I spent the morning with victims' families

:05:07. > :05:11.and survivors. A moment to set aside duty. And

:05:12. > :05:15.remember those lost. The hard exterior of this city has cracked

:05:16. > :05:22.and it is showing its scars. Five of the dead have been named.

:05:23. > :05:27.From the helicopter PCs the Mark Collins and Kirsty Nelis and David

:05:28. > :05:32.Traill. Simon McGee and Gary Arthur were killed in the pub. But there

:05:33. > :05:37.are still many missing, and a as survivors and victims families meet,

:05:38. > :05:44.the stress begins to show I want my dad out of there. It is a piece of

:05:45. > :05:48.machinery is more important. As the wreckage was finally lifted free, it

:05:49. > :05:56.was a moment for some to reflect on just how lucky they had been. I

:05:57. > :06:02.remember the seconds, I could not find my sister. How my gut felt, how

:06:03. > :06:08.sick I felt. Not knowing, it is just the not know, it is no knowing,

:06:09. > :06:14.where is my sister? And she's, you said the same. It is a huge thing in

:06:15. > :06:17.such a relatively small pub. We know the size of the pub. To see

:06:18. > :06:21.something that size. Copping out of that, just impacts even more, how

:06:22. > :06:26.lucky we are. The names of more victims are sure

:06:27. > :06:31.to merge over the coming day, along with so many questions.

:06:32. > :06:35.You saw the guard of honour as the bodies were being removed. Another

:06:36. > :06:39.time for the emergency services to come together, to stop and

:06:40. > :06:44.contemplate what has happened here. But now it is some time for the

:06:45. > :06:47.investigation and this afternoon we expect the Air Accidents

:06:48. > :06:50.Investigation Branch to be here and give some kind of update. This a

:06:51. > :06:57.time the city of Glasgow now want answers.

:06:58. > :07:00.Household fuel bills will rise less steeply than planned after the

:07:01. > :07:04.Government promised to cut the green taxes imposed on energy firms.

:07:05. > :07:08.British Gas and SSE say they will pass the sayings on to customer,

:07:09. > :07:14.meaning bills will be round ?50 lower than expected. Npower said its

:07:15. > :07:18.prices would not rise until 2015 unless there are increases in whale

:07:19. > :07:22.sale energy costs. Our industry correspondent reports.

:07:23. > :07:26.Energy bills have been soaring but at last there is some leaf. Today

:07:27. > :07:31.the big six firms have been responded to the Government's

:07:32. > :07:34.proposals which aim to knock ?50 after average annual bills We can

:07:35. > :07:39.say because of the measures we have taken, the average consumer will see

:07:40. > :07:42.a ?50 cut in their bill, and of course we were negotiating with

:07:43. > :07:46.companies to make sure they will pass that cut on to consumer, and

:07:47. > :07:52.you can hear we have been successful. So where do the savings

:07:53. > :07:56.come from? Round ?12 we pay through our bills to help vulnerable

:07:57. > :08:02.households will now be paid through general taxation. Cuts to a big

:08:03. > :08:07.energy efficiency scheme, called echo will deliver up to ?35. Another

:08:08. > :08:12.?5 is being saved in the cost of transporting energy to our homes.

:08:13. > :08:22.That gives a total saying of round ?53. It means the average dual fuel

:08:23. > :08:28.bill, current currently ?1385 will drop to ?1332. Still more than we

:08:29. > :08:33.were paying prior to the recent round of price rises. But when will

:08:34. > :08:37.it happen? Speaking in London this morning, the boss of British Gas's

:08:38. > :08:43.parent company confirmed that consumers would have to wait until

:08:44. > :08:47.January. Why wait until January to cut prices? We are doing what we

:08:48. > :08:50.can, when we can. This is a very important issue, clearly, and we are

:08:51. > :08:56.doing, bringing them down as fast as we can.

:08:57. > :09:03.As for the other firms, eon has yet to announce a rise this winter. EDF

:09:04. > :09:06.factored in a cut. Its 3.9% rise will come in in January. Scottish

:09:07. > :09:11.Power and npower indicate they will cut prices in the New Year, but SSE

:09:12. > :09:17.says it won't implement any cut until April.

:09:18. > :09:21.There is other measures too, including ?1,000 to spend on energy

:09:22. > :09:25.savings measures for new home buyers. Consumer groups welcomed the

:09:26. > :09:30.news but called on Government to go further. Labour criticised the plan

:09:31. > :09:32.They have done a smoke and mirrors deal rather than standing up to

:09:33. > :09:37.them. Only a Labour Government will stand up to the energy company, and

:09:38. > :09:42.freeze prices. St hopes these proposals will take the heat out of

:09:43. > :09:46.the energy row, but will a ?50 saving but enough to make that

:09:47. > :09:50.happen? Our chief political correspondent

:09:51. > :09:55.Norman Smith is in Westminster. This remains a controversial tricky issue

:09:56. > :10:00.for the Government. Yes, and ministers will hope that their plan

:10:01. > :10:05.to lop ?50 after our bill will go some way to take the steam out of

:10:06. > :10:10.the run away train that has been Ed Miliband's pledge to freeze energy

:10:11. > :10:15.bills for 20 months. The danger for the Government is this, it falls

:10:16. > :10:21.victim to what might be called shrugged shoulder syndrome. You and

:10:22. > :10:24.I shrug our should ires and say "Is that it? " People won't get a cheque

:10:25. > :10:29.back in the post from their energy company, their bill is not going to

:10:30. > :10:32.come down, it is doing to keep going up by more than inflation but not as

:10:33. > :10:36.much as it would otherwise have gone up to the tune of a saving of

:10:37. > :10:41.roughly about a pound a week, and some of the big energy companies are

:10:42. > :10:45.warning if network and wholesale costs go up energy bills may have to

:10:46. > :10:49.go up further. Now, ministers say, well, look, we are dealing with that

:10:50. > :10:54.part of the bill, we control. Namely the green bits and Bob, by the way

:10:55. > :10:57.we are not a branch of North Korea where we can tell private companies

:10:58. > :11:02.what they can do with price, however, they are warning there will

:11:03. > :11:06.be a competition review into the energy market in the New Year, to

:11:07. > :11:11.examine profits and prices made by the big six. In other words, if

:11:12. > :11:16.today's measures are not enough, to assuage public anger, we could see

:11:17. > :11:20.further moves to curb energy bills in the New Year.

:11:21. > :11:24.And to find out more there is a special section of the BBC News

:11:25. > :11:28.website which includes a question and answer section on the cost of

:11:29. > :11:33.energy as well as advice on how to out your bills and save money.

:11:34. > :11:41.A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of Georgia Williams, a

:11:42. > :11:47.student from Shropshire whose body was found in woods last May. Jahmal

:11:48. > :11:51.Mason-Blair admitted strangling the teenager in their home town of

:11:52. > :11:57.Wellington. -- Jamie Reynolds. This was a

:11:58. > :12:00.routine hearing that saw a dramatic development, Georgia Williams was a

:12:01. > :12:06.former head girl, who had wanted a career in the RAF. She had been last

:12:07. > :12:10.seen leaving her family home in Wellington, near tell formed in

:12:11. > :12:15.Shropshire on Sunday 26th May. He told her parents she was going to

:12:16. > :12:20.stay with friends. Her body was found dumped in woodland in

:12:21. > :12:27.Denbighshire five days later. She had been strangled. Now today, in

:12:28. > :12:31.court, her parents and older sister listened intently as local shop

:12:32. > :12:36.worker Jamie Reynolds admitted murdering her. He had been the

:12:37. > :12:41.police's prime suspect, he had been tracked down to Glasgow, three days

:12:42. > :12:47.after she disappeared and had been arrested. Following today's short

:12:48. > :12:52.hearing here at Stafford Crown Court her parents issued a statement. They

:12:53. > :12:58.said the pain we feel now is as raw as it was when our beautiful Georgia

:12:59. > :13:02.was taken from us. We do not and will never understand the

:13:03. > :13:07.heartbreaking events that changed our lives forever. Now more details

:13:08. > :13:12.about what happened to Georgia will emerge when Jamie Reynolds's is

:13:13. > :13:16.sentenced later this month. David Cameron is in Beijing leading

:13:17. > :13:19.Britain's biggest ever trade delegation to China, the Prime

:13:20. > :13:24.Minister says he won't shy away from questions about human right, but his

:13:25. > :13:29.top priority is securing British jobs. This report from our Beijing

:13:30. > :13:36.correspondent. It contained flash photography.

:13:37. > :13:41.As David Cameron's learning, China is a ricing power, flexing its

:13:42. > :13:47.muscles. He wanted this visit to happen

:13:48. > :13:52.months ago but China made his wait. Piqued he met the Dalai Lama in

:13:53. > :13:56.London last year. Mr Cameron says partnering with China will help

:13:57. > :14:00.Britain prosper. David Cameron says he wants this to

:14:01. > :14:04.be the beginning of a new relationship with China. Some say he

:14:05. > :14:13.is selling is out on human right, going soft in his desire to do

:14:14. > :14:17.deals. Since his last visit, China's economy has grown so fast it has

:14:18. > :14:23.added the equivalent of the entire British xa in three years. China now

:14:24. > :14:28.has financial muscle. Mr Cameron wants investment. In high speed rail

:14:29. > :14:33.an nuclear power. So he made no mention of Tibet. I see China's rise

:14:34. > :14:37.as an opportunity, not just for the people of this country, but for

:14:38. > :14:41.Britain, and for the world. And he agreed to one Chinese demand.

:14:42. > :14:50.A press conference with no questions from the press.

:14:51. > :14:57.For its part, China has agreed to buy 100,000 jag a Land Rover cars

:14:58. > :15:02.but when Mr Cameron spoke on human rights in Sri Lanka. He has been shy

:15:03. > :15:05.about the subject here. Does he look inconsistent now? We have a strong

:15:06. > :15:10.and full relationship between Britain and China and that includes

:15:11. > :15:14.human rights dialogue. We are one of the few countries to have that

:15:15. > :15:17.relationship with China, but very much top of for me here is making

:15:18. > :15:23.sure we secure the British jobs at home and that British investment, to

:15:24. > :15:27.help achieve economic growth. That dialogue critics say is allow

:15:28. > :15:32.level meeting, a way of shunting awkward issues to one side. This is

:15:33. > :15:35.where he could have raised them. Meeting China's President. The

:15:36. > :15:42.diplomatic high point of this visit. But dealing with a rising China

:15:43. > :15:52.isn't simple. The question is, what compromises do you make. Our top

:15:53. > :15:55.story: Emergency services form a guard of honour as the bodies of

:15:56. > :15:59.victims of the helicopter crash in Glasgow are taken from the scene.

:16:00. > :16:04.Still to come, it has been called Cyber Monday. Today be the biggest

:16:05. > :16:07.online shopping day in history? Later on BBC London: Soldiering on -

:16:08. > :16:10.how former servicemen and women can benefit from turning their military

:16:11. > :16:14.skills into potential business opportunities.

:16:15. > :16:15.And we meet the artist commissioned by Giorgio Armani to turn old pairs

:16:16. > :16:31.of jeans into works of art. Next month the restrictions on

:16:32. > :16:35.Bulgarians and Romanians who want to come to work in the UK will be

:16:36. > :16:38.lifted. It means they, like others in the EU, and find employment in

:16:39. > :16:43.Britain and potentially claim benefits. No one knows yet how many

:16:44. > :16:47.will actually decide to come here. But they're having estimates. Last

:16:48. > :16:53.week David Cameron announced plans to limit benefits for new European

:16:54. > :17:01.migrants and moved that Mac -- a move criticised by experts.

:17:02. > :17:05.They have a very different attitude towards this whole issue here in

:17:06. > :17:11.Bulgaria. I was talking this morning to one analyst of the whole

:17:12. > :17:14.migration issue. He said he is not expecting a mass exodus of

:17:15. > :17:19.Bulgarians to the UK, come January the 1st. He says that over the years

:17:20. > :17:22.they have already been able to travel across the EU to look for

:17:23. > :17:28.work and Britain is not the top destination. This is a similar

:17:29. > :17:31.situation to one that I found a few days ago in Romania, the other

:17:32. > :17:34.country that is being affected by the changes.

:17:35. > :17:37.This is one of your's poorest countries, and many wish to escape

:17:38. > :17:43.from here. TRANSLATION: Joan Valcan's family went to Spain

:17:44. > :17:58.ten years ago. TRANSLATION: Spain has more

:17:59. > :18:05.opportunities. My daughters say they would like to come home one day. I

:18:06. > :18:09.would like them to. But some, like this man, say many young notches

:18:10. > :18:14.Britain. He has already worked there on a building site. Even under the

:18:15. > :18:18.current restrictions, he and fellow Romanians were able to go to the UK

:18:19. > :18:27.and look for work. He believes relaxing the rules will change

:18:28. > :18:34.little. It is around ten years that we have had people going to the UK.

:18:35. > :18:40.By the time I went there, 2006, I worked on a site where there were 70

:18:41. > :18:47.Romanians and the company was Romanian. In an old communist built

:18:48. > :18:53.cultural Centre, jobs fair to attract people to the West. Among

:18:54. > :19:01.them, Andrea Hangan, dentist. I do thought about working in England?

:19:02. > :19:09.Yes, -- have you thought. Yes, but I have decided that Ireland is better.

:19:10. > :19:13.I know people there. Lots of people do still want to leave Romania. They

:19:14. > :19:16.are looking for better jobs, better wages, better living editions. In

:19:17. > :19:21.fact, this migration has been going on now for years. What is impossible

:19:22. > :19:28.to predict is whether the change in the rules is going to accelerate the

:19:29. > :19:33.process. Already, though, Cristian Nikolaie has made his decision. When

:19:34. > :19:37.the revelations change, he will be able to apply for any job, and

:19:38. > :19:46.therefore to escape the incredibly low wages paid here. 200, maximum

:19:47. > :19:53.300 euros per month. So when the rule changes come in, will you try

:19:54. > :19:59.to go back to Britain? Of course. I am going. Getting out will get

:20:00. > :20:03.easier. But many did not wait for this moment to migrate across

:20:04. > :20:08.Europe. They have already left, and they are building lies elsewhere.

:20:09. > :20:11.Another interesting thing I have picked up on here in Bulgaria is

:20:12. > :20:16.that, like Romania, it is worried about all these people leaving over

:20:17. > :20:20.the years. They call it the brain drain. They are losing intelligent

:20:21. > :20:23.people and manual workers. That is doing nothing for their own

:20:24. > :20:27.economies. There is more on how the changes to

:20:28. > :20:31.EU migration could affect people across the UK with special reports

:20:32. > :20:39.today on the ABC News Channel and on many Loch Ewe radio programmes.

:20:40. > :20:44.-- the BBC News Channel. People are still protesting in Kiev to demand

:20:45. > :20:48.the resignation of the president. They are angry at his refusal to

:20:49. > :20:54.sign a deal on closely, ties with the EU because of pressure from

:20:55. > :21:01.neighbouring Russia. In Kiev, they were displaying people

:21:02. > :21:05.power. Protesters took to the streets to paralyse the government.

:21:06. > :21:10.They set up roadblocks of rubbish bins to stop officials getting to

:21:11. > :21:19.work. At government headquarters, no door was left unguarded. Protesters

:21:20. > :21:25.are continuing to occupy independent square demanding -- Independence

:21:26. > :21:28.Square. They are demanding closer links with Europe. Thousands of

:21:29. > :21:33.people spent the night here. This is what they spent all night doing,

:21:34. > :21:37.dobbing barricades. It took huge pieces of wood, big sheets of metal,

:21:38. > :21:42.they put them all around here, to stop the police moving onto the

:21:43. > :21:46.square. Yesterday there were violent clashes between riot police and
