:00:10. > :00:17.Australian ship could reach the site shortly. Marking the spot. An

:00:18. > :00:24.Australian crew see four objects in the sea thousands of miles off the

:00:25. > :00:28.coast of Perth. It has been reported that the Malaysian prime minister

:00:29. > :00:33.could be preparing to hold a new column -- news conference on the

:00:34. > :00:36.latest developments within an hour. President Obama arrives in the

:00:37. > :00:38.Netherlands where G7 leaders will discuss action against Russia, after

:00:39. > :00:41.the Crimea crisis. Another setback for the troubled Co-op Bank. It

:00:42. > :00:43.needs another ?400 million after uncovering more unexpected costs.

:00:44. > :00:48.Hopes of finding survivors after a massive mudslide in America fade. At

:00:49. > :00:53.least eight people have died in Washington State. And 70 years after

:00:54. > :00:56.The Great Escape - the 50 RAF officers shot after the mass

:00:57. > :01:03.break-out from the Nazi prisoner of war camp are remembered.

:01:04. > :01:11.On BBC London, a shining star loved by everyone. A headteacher pays

:01:12. > :01:14.tribute to the 15-year-old shot in Hackney. The funeral of Bob Crow is

:01:15. > :01:34.taking place in East London. Good afternoon and welcome to the

:01:35. > :01:37.BBC News at One. An Australian plane has spotted four objects in the hunt

:01:38. > :01:40.for the missing Malaysian aircraft. The crew say one was orange and

:01:41. > :01:45.rectangular, another was circular. Two more were cylindrical. An

:01:46. > :01:50.Australian Navy ship is close by and could arrive on the scene shortly.

:01:51. > :01:53.The latest sightings of possible debris from the missing Malaysian

:01:54. > :01:55.airlines plane come after the Chinese report seeing white

:01:56. > :01:58.rectangular objects in the southern Indian Ocean. Jonathan Head is in

:01:59. > :02:07.Perth, from where the Australian air search is being co-ordinated. After

:02:08. > :02:12.days of searching, a result at last. Flares dropped in the ocean from an

:02:13. > :02:18.Australian air force plane to mark the area where they have just

:02:19. > :02:20.spotted something man-made. For these hard-working crews, this is

:02:21. > :02:40.progress. The task of retrieving these objects

:02:41. > :02:46.now falls to this ship. The Australian Navy ship, the HMAS

:02:47. > :02:51.Success. Only when they are pulled on board will be known whether they

:02:52. > :02:56.are from the Malaysian plane. This difficult, multinational operation

:02:57. > :03:01.is now based out of Western Australia. Satellite data suggests

:03:02. > :03:09.Lite MH 370 flew down this corridor south to the limit of its range. The

:03:10. > :03:14.search is focused on an area of the 20,000 nautical square miles, 1500

:03:15. > :03:18.miles from Perth. More surveillance aircraft have been sent out through

:03:19. > :03:22.the day to try to spot more debris in the same area. These aircraft

:03:23. > :03:27.have undertaken a lot of long and arduous missions over the past week

:03:28. > :03:31.and found almost nothing. Although this is still only a tentative

:03:32. > :03:34.sighting, the fact they have seen anything at all that may be part of

:03:35. > :03:44.a missing outliner, in this search son, is still an important step. --

:03:45. > :03:48.search son. After 17 days with so little information, families

:03:49. > :03:53.involved scarcely know what to think. They must know there is

:03:54. > :03:59.little hope now. TRANSLATION:

:04:00. > :04:03.The most likely scenario is that the plane crashed or it was hijacked. If

:04:04. > :04:09.it crashed, there is nothing to do but wait for the search. If it was

:04:10. > :04:14.hijacked, I do not think my grandad has a big chance of survival. I am

:04:15. > :04:24.pessimistic. They will be watching this growing fleet of planes over

:04:25. > :04:29.the coming days. Let's go live to Perth for the latest. Jonathan Head

:04:30. > :04:33.is there. The search seems to be gathering pace. We are getting

:04:34. > :04:39.confirmation will be news update within the hour. There has been so

:04:40. > :04:43.little information so far. We have heard a statement from the

:04:44. > :04:46.Australian prime minister. The Malaysian Prime Minister will

:04:47. > :04:51.probably be reported what he has been told by the Australians. We

:04:52. > :04:57.have had satellite images in the past few days. They were days old.

:04:58. > :05:04.Finding the stuff in the sea, and it is an empty sea that has very little

:05:05. > :05:08.debris in it, finding planes is absolutely essential. Only then can

:05:09. > :05:13.we pieced together the possibility that the plane went down. There is a

:05:14. > :05:17.lock to be confirmed yet. We have watched the plane is going in and

:05:18. > :05:23.out of this air base on four, five hour journeys into this terribly

:05:24. > :05:27.remote coming back empty-handed. They feel very encouraged by this.

:05:28. > :05:30.No one can figure out what has happened to the Malaysian airline

:05:31. > :05:34.but this area is the most promising. With these initial

:05:35. > :05:37.reports of debris, they feel the possible as you progress Dash of

:05:38. > :06:32.finally getting answers Dash is within reach.

:06:33. > :06:38.The naval base was stormed by Russians, who rounded up the

:06:39. > :06:43.Ukrainian forces and tied up their hands. In Kiev, the acting president

:06:44. > :06:48.bound to the inevitable, ordering his remaining forces in Crimea to

:06:49. > :06:53.withdraw. In Moscow, the Russian parliament celebrated by adding the

:06:54. > :06:58.flags of Crimea and Sevastopol to the line of Russia 's regions.

:06:59. > :07:03.Powerful imagery of the territorial gain of President Putin. President

:07:04. > :07:07.Obama is in Europe to consider the next steps with fellow world

:07:08. > :07:12.leaders. Arriving in the Netherlands for a long planned nuclear security

:07:13. > :07:16.summit when he started at the ceremony at the newly restored

:07:17. > :07:22.museum, against the backdrop of Dutch masterpieces of the

:07:23. > :07:32.civilisation. The president made clear he would make it stronger,

:07:33. > :07:40.united stand against Vladimir Putin. We are united. We want to impose a

:07:41. > :07:45.cost on Russia for its actions so far. President Putin is staying away

:07:46. > :07:52.from this summit, sending his foreign minister instead to take the

:07:53. > :07:56.heat. Vladimir Putin is sticking to celebration. Last week, delighting

:07:57. > :08:02.crowds in red Square, after announcing that an historic wrong

:08:03. > :08:09.had been righted. Crimea was coming home to Russia. Part of the price

:08:10. > :08:14.for that, this piece of history may be unravelling. In June 1997,

:08:15. > :08:21.President Clinton welcomed Boris Yeltsin to a global top table as the

:08:22. > :08:27.G-7 expanded to G8. Today in The Hague, that walk towards Russia is

:08:28. > :08:33.being thrown into reverse, as the current G-7 leaders prepared to meet

:08:34. > :08:43.in a very deliberate snub to Vladimir Putin. G8 two G-7, how

:08:44. > :08:47.likely is it that that will happen? They have to formalise the meeting

:08:48. > :08:54.without Russia in this very considered snub. Do they want to

:08:55. > :08:59.announce the abandonment of all participation in the G8 Summit,

:09:00. > :09:03.which is due to be chaired by Vladimir Putin in Sochi in June? Are

:09:04. > :09:13.the G-7 countries don't withdraw and say that summit will not go ahead?

:09:14. > :09:16.Perhaps they will talk about organising their own rival summit

:09:17. > :09:22.without Russia, which would really be turning the clock back. We may

:09:23. > :09:26.not get that far tonight. What is important is that President Obama

:09:27. > :09:27.will be able to sit down and have face-to-face consultations with his

:09:28. > :09:40.closest allies about the next steps. This move now by Ukraine to withdraw

:09:41. > :09:44.their troops - a hugely significant move.

:09:45. > :09:48.Extremely significant. I think a recognition on the part of the

:09:49. > :09:53.Ukrainian authorities that they have been out-gunned and overwhelmed by

:09:54. > :09:57.the Russians.en even though the Ukrainian Government will maintain

:09:58. > :10:02.the takeover of Crimea has been illegal and unconstitutional. They

:10:03. > :10:08.realise they have been overwhelmed. Let me show you where I am. This is

:10:09. > :10:14.the last piece of the state in Crimea. It is still under control.

:10:15. > :10:18.You can see the national emblem of the republic of Ukraine. It is a

:10:19. > :10:22.different picture to what has happened elsewhere. The ministry

:10:23. > :10:26.defence has told us every military base of Ukraine is now under the

:10:27. > :10:30.control of the Russian authorities. The Russian operation here has been

:10:31. > :10:35.swift, effective and been very successful. Really, the end for

:10:36. > :10:40.Ukraine is pretty much up now. Russia's control of Crimea is almost

:10:41. > :10:44.complete. Thank you. The troubled Co-operative Bank says it needs to

:10:45. > :10:47.raise another ?400 million after the discovery of additional costs

:10:48. > :10:56.related to past misconduct. It comes off the back of being rescued last

:10:57. > :11:02.year because of a ?1.5 billion shortfall. It will make a loss of as

:11:03. > :11:08.much as ?1.3 billion for 2013. It is the bank which keeps asking.

:11:09. > :11:12.?400 million extra is now needed to keep the Co-operative Bank's revival

:11:13. > :11:18.on check. The more they check, the more red ink they find. One of the

:11:19. > :11:23.worrying thing is as a result of this latest write off, the capital

:11:24. > :11:26.rash show, the amount of capital that regulators require it to hold

:11:27. > :11:32.is getting close to the minimum safety levels. The group and members

:11:33. > :11:39.have seen their grip on the bank loosened to just a 30% stake. The

:11:40. > :11:44.result of a ?1.5 billion bailout last year which left international

:11:45. > :11:48.investors in control. Then the bank's former chairman was arrested

:11:49. > :11:53.for alleged offences over drugs - another big knock to its standing.

:11:54. > :11:58.The new shortfall is the result of payment protection insurance or PPI

:11:59. > :12:04.compensation payouts being more than expected. Some losses on mortgages,

:12:05. > :12:05.where the Co-op showed extra forebearance to borrowers who could

:12:06. > :12:12.not pay. It all adds up. The bank says even

:12:13. > :12:16.if it manages to raise the extra money, there are significant

:12:17. > :12:20.challenges. It has benefitted from the reluctance of customers to

:12:21. > :12:24.switch their accounts. There's only been a slight reduction in the

:12:25. > :12:31.number of current account holders in the last year. It is now at arm's

:12:32. > :12:36.length from the Co-op group of supermarkets and funeral directors.

:12:37. > :12:40.Outsiders could gain more control and the Co-op principal could be

:12:41. > :12:46.further eroded. The bank is spending today, calling backers, including US

:12:47. > :12:50.investment funds hoping they will say, in for a penny, in for a pound

:12:51. > :12:56.and provide the support it needs. The funeral of the RM T union

:12:57. > :13:04.leader, Bob Crow, is taking place this lunch time. He died at the age

:13:05. > :13:09.of 52. Thousands of trade unionists and friends lined the route to the

:13:10. > :13:13.City of London cemetery. His coffin was carried in a horse-drawn

:13:14. > :13:21.carriage. The jury at the piste piste piste murder -- at the Oscar

:13:22. > :13:27.Pistorious murder trial has heard tapes. He shot his girlfriend on

:13:28. > :13:30.Valentine's Day last year. Our correspondent is outside the

:13:31. > :13:37.court. What do the messages say then.

:13:38. > :13:42.Some very revealing text messages. We don't know yet what texts if any

:13:43. > :13:46.were exchanged that night. What we have heard today is messages

:13:47. > :13:50.exchanged a couple of months before - a month before, as this couple

:13:51. > :13:56.were getting to know each other and, as we hear from the police witness,

:13:57. > :14:05.90% of the messages were loving. He read out some that I think will be

:14:06. > :14:09.extremely damaging for him. Reeva complaining about him being

:14:10. > :14:13.jealous, petty. In one headline, I think, a head-line grabbing quote,

:14:14. > :14:18.she said, "I am scared of you sometimes and how you react to me."

:14:19. > :14:21.That will be very difficult for him. Of course he has spoken of the

:14:22. > :14:27.couple being in a loving relationship.

:14:28. > :14:31.The trial continues and we are expect expecting him to be on the

:14:32. > :14:35.witness stand soon. A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court, charged

:14:36. > :14:40.with the murder of a teenage girl in East London. Shereka Fab-Ann Marsh,

:14:41. > :14:44.who was also 15 died after being shot in the neck in a house in

:14:45. > :14:51.Hackney on Saturday afternoon. The boy who cannot be named for legal

:14:52. > :14:56.reasons is appearing in magistrates court. There have been more

:14:57. > :15:01.sightings of possible wreckage from the missing Malaysian plane. A ship

:15:02. > :15:06.could reach the site shortly A press conference is due in the next half

:15:07. > :15:09.an hour. Captured on camera - the desperate attempts of migrants

:15:10. > :15:11.risking their lives to get into the UK.

:15:12. > :15:19.Later on BBC London, scientists find Londoners living in poor areas are

:15:20. > :15:24.more vulnerable to climate change. Surrey cricket's new coach hopes

:15:25. > :15:35.Kevin Pietersen will help the club win promotion next season.

:15:36. > :15:39.Some of the desperate attempts being made by migrants to enter the UK

:15:40. > :15:42.have been caught on camera. The images show men running towards

:15:43. > :15:45.trucks at Calais and climbing on to the vehicles before sitting on the

:15:46. > :15:48.axles. Two migrants were recently killed in attempts to get to Dover.

:15:49. > :15:51.The extraordinary images are from a BBC investigation which shows how

:15:52. > :15:54.British trucks are being targeted just metres from the port entrance,

:15:55. > :16:05.in broad daylight and under the gaze of port officials. Colin Campbell

:16:06. > :16:12.sent this report. Night-time in Calais. A truck we fitted with

:16:13. > :16:17.cameras stopped at a junction near the port. In seconds, two men

:16:18. > :16:24.crawled beneath the vehicle. They tried to balance on the rear axle.

:16:25. > :16:31.These are migrants, trying to get to Britain from France. You are risking

:16:32. > :16:39.your lives by getting on this track. I do not care. I am sorry. Another

:16:40. > :16:46.truck, another risking his life. On this occasion, the truck moves off

:16:47. > :16:52.unaware it has gained a passenger. He has got under his axle. We call

:16:53. > :16:59.the driver as soon as we can to alert him. Slow down very slowly,

:17:00. > :17:09.you have got one on your axle. Once stationary, he climbed out. This

:17:10. > :17:16.country is not good to live in. We have to go to England. An act of

:17:17. > :17:24.absolute desperation. Getting under this thing is no easy feat. Even in

:17:25. > :17:28.daylight hours, it is dark, it is slippery. To get onto the axle

:17:29. > :17:35.itself will take speed and agility. If you do not get the timing

:17:36. > :17:40.spot-on, the risks are off the scale. Calais is experiencing a

:17:41. > :17:45.surge in migrant numbers. Many Syrians are arriving. Stop, stop.

:17:46. > :17:52.They are getting under into the axle. There are two of them getting

:17:53. > :17:55.into our axle. I would never have known they were on there. I was

:17:56. > :18:03.looking in the mirror, looking down the road to pull out. You can kill

:18:04. > :18:15.people. The Government insists it is taking border security and

:18:16. > :18:17.immigration seriously. Whether it is shutting down bogus colleges,

:18:18. > :18:19.putting a cap on migration from outside the European Union, making

:18:20. > :18:22.sure we police our ports and airports properly, we are taking all

:18:23. > :18:28.of those steps. Immigration is a major concern. In search of a better

:18:29. > :18:31.life and willing to risk it all, some are succeeding in their quest

:18:32. > :18:44.but others are paying with their lives will stop viewers in the

:18:45. > :18:49.south-east of England can see more of that story at 1:30pm on BBC One.

:18:50. > :18:52.Rescue teams in the United States are searching for 18 people missing

:18:53. > :18:55.after a huge landslide in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains

:18:56. > :18:59.in Washington State. At least eight bodies have been found in the wall

:19:00. > :19:02.of mud and debris brought down by heavy rainfall. The landslip, north

:19:03. > :19:05.of Seattle, has left a pile of mud and rock up to four and a half

:19:06. > :19:13.metres deep in places. Beth McLeod sent this report. Helpless against

:19:14. > :19:17.the huge wall of mud that smashed into it, this house, or what remains

:19:18. > :19:22.of it, has been pushed into the middle of State Route 530. This is

:19:23. > :19:29.what the affected area looks like from the sky, 2.5 square kilometres

:19:30. > :19:33.of it. This whole chunk of Hillside slid away, taking trees and debris

:19:34. > :19:38.with it. The area has had problems with unstable land in the past.

:19:39. > :19:42.Authorities believe heavy rainfall in recent weeks triggered this

:19:43. > :19:47.slide. The devastation is unrelenting and awesome. There

:19:48. > :19:52.really is no stick standing in the path of the slide. It is a reminder

:19:53. > :19:59.that we live in powerful forces of nature. Silence now but just after

:20:00. > :20:04.the mudslide people reported hearing the cries of those trapped in the

:20:05. > :20:08.debris. Rescue teams have had to tread carefully because of the

:20:09. > :20:13.treacherous ground. The area was finally deemed safe enough to search

:20:14. > :20:19.late on Sunday morning. After setting a very large area on foot,

:20:20. > :20:26.we did not find anyone alive. There was no sign of life. Rescuers have

:20:27. > :20:31.also taken to the air, using thermal imaging to look for people who may

:20:32. > :20:35.still be trapped. Officials say it is still a rescue rather than a

:20:36. > :20:39.recovery mission. As time goes on, this community is bracing itself for

:20:40. > :20:42.more bad news. ?7 billion is going missing from the UK's health budgets

:20:43. > :20:47.through fraud and error every year. That is according to the former head

:20:48. > :20:50.Counter Fraud Services for the NHS. BBC Panorama has had exclusive

:20:51. > :20:52.access to Jim Gee's report, which says that ?5 billion of that is down

:20:53. > :21:06.to fraud. This dentist is the most prolific

:21:07. > :21:10.single fraudster in NHS history. Joyce Trail enjoyed the highlights,

:21:11. > :21:15.funding her taste for expensive holidays by conning the NHS into

:21:16. > :21:19.paying her for work she had never actually done. She even claimed

:21:20. > :21:28.payment football Steve for patients who had in fact died. She faked over

:21:29. > :21:35.38,000 documents. This is criminality at a professional level.

:21:36. > :21:39.She was jailed for seven years for ?1.4 million worth of fraud. The

:21:40. > :21:45.budget for catching and deterring fraudsters has been cut by around a

:21:46. > :21:52.third since 2006. Investigators say now is a good time to be a fraudster

:21:53. > :21:55.in the NHS. How can you have a confidence that there is a

:21:56. > :22:02.likelihood you will be discovered, found out, when there are very few

:22:03. > :22:06.people looking at you? I think it is a genuinely held concern that some

:22:07. > :22:12.people in senior positions have taken their eye off the ball on

:22:13. > :22:15.this. When the NHS is under huge financial strain, is a

:22:16. > :22:20.cost-effective to spend money combating fraud? This man says yes,

:22:21. > :22:28.especially as his latest research puts the annual cost to the NHS of

:22:29. > :22:34.fraud at ?5 billion. Enough to pay the 244,000 new nurses with a

:22:35. > :22:38.further ?2 billion lost to errors. We need not to be embarrassed or in

:22:39. > :22:43.denial about the possible to your fraud taking place in the NHS. We

:22:44. > :22:49.need to tackle the problem, minimise its costs and maximise resources

:22:50. > :22:52.available for proper patient care. There are concerns that with the NHS

:22:53. > :22:57.in England going through so many changes, the risk of fraud and error

:22:58. > :23:00.is rising. The Department of Health says it does not recognise the ?5

:23:01. > :23:05.billion figure and does not speculate on levels of losses. With

:23:06. > :23:11.potentially billions to be saved, it is in all of our interests as users

:23:12. > :23:17.of the NHS that its financial oversight is robust and fit for

:23:18. > :23:25.purpose. And you can see the full report on that story on Panorama at

:23:26. > :23:30.8:30pm on BBC One. A commuter train has derailed in America, injuring

:23:31. > :23:33.around 30 people. These images show how the train failed to stop and

:23:34. > :23:35.ended up on the escalator at an underground station at Chicago's

:23:36. > :23:38.O'Hare International Airport. Officials are trying to find out the

:23:39. > :23:41.cause, but say the train was probably travelling too fast. None

:23:42. > :23:45.of the injuries sustained by passengers is thought to be

:23:46. > :23:50.life-threatening. Decriminalisation of the non payment of the BBC

:23:51. > :23:53.licence fee has moved a step closer. The Labour Party will now support a

:23:54. > :23:56.proposal first pushed by a Conservative MP, giving cross party

:23:57. > :24:02.support to stop people being sent to jail for not paying. Let's get more

:24:03. > :24:08.from Norman Smith. How much of a threat is this to the current

:24:09. > :24:12.system? There is a growing conviction and consensus at

:24:13. > :24:20.Westminster that jailing Mr and Mrs non-licensed the pay for having a

:24:21. > :24:24.crafty sneak at Strictly is a bit Draconian. What you do instead is

:24:25. > :24:29.not at all clear. If you move to a civil system of fines only, it is

:24:30. > :24:34.argued that many more will not pay the licence fee. If you ask the BBC

:24:35. > :24:39.to disconnect people, it would have to install set-top boxes likes sky

:24:40. > :24:43.and virgin, which would also cost millions. It means the BBC would no

:24:44. > :24:48.longer be a universal service and would move towards a subscription

:24:49. > :24:54.service. In other words, it would no longer be dear old auntie Beeb. That

:24:55. > :24:58.is why any deal on decriminalisation is some way off. It is all wrapped

:24:59. > :25:05.up in much bigger arguments about the BBC and the licence fee. It is

:25:06. > :25:10.worth remembering the first call is -- calls to get rid of the licence

:25:11. > :25:19.fee whereby Lord Beaverbrook in 1923. It has some way to run yet.

:25:20. > :25:22.Hundreds of people have gathered in Poland today to remember the RAF

:25:23. > :25:25.servicemen, who died while taking part in the Great Escape of the

:25:26. > :25:28.Second World War. Exactly 70 years ago, scores of men held in the

:25:29. > :25:31.German prisoner of war camp, Stalag Luft III - headed for freedom

:25:32. > :25:33.through a tunnel codenamed Harry. They were celebrated and

:25:34. > :25:38.romanticised in the 1963 Steve McQueen film, but only three men got

:25:39. > :25:50.away successfully. 50 were shot after being recaptured. Our

:25:51. > :25:54.correspondent is in the Polish town. This is the view from the

:25:55. > :25:58.reconstructed German guard post which looks out on the old prisoner

:25:59. > :26:03.of war camp. What those sentries could not see was a tunnel that ran

:26:04. > :26:08.very close to the guard post. You can see the marker which indicates

:26:09. > :26:19.its presence today. 17 men were making their way through that tunnel

:26:20. > :26:26.to freedom. -- 70 men. One by one they carried the rain streaked

:26:27. > :26:29.photos along the forest track. If the serving RAF personnel,

:26:30. > :26:36.representing 50 men from another generation, who used their captivity

:26:37. > :26:42.to fight back. Under the surrounding pines, moss covered brick and

:26:43. > :26:51.concrete, provide the only remaining links to a wartime story which

:26:52. > :26:55.spawned a Hollywood blockbuster. The story of an ambitious plan to tunnel

:26:56. > :27:03.out of what was billed as an escape proof camp and allow a record number

:27:04. > :27:08.of allied airmen to head for home. It was audacious. It was quite

:27:09. > :27:16.remarkable. When you think that tunnel was dug by people without

:27:17. > :27:19.tools, with a deep security or secrecy, we knew it was being

:27:20. > :27:27.planned because there was work going on in the room next to me, making

:27:28. > :27:35.uniforms and things. Three tunnels were dark and only one use. The

:27:36. > :27:40.tunnel still lies between the feet of those who visit the spot where

:27:41. > :27:45.more than 70 men made a break for freedom. It was only the following

:27:46. > :27:52.day when we heard roughly how many had got through. The Germans canted

:27:53. > :27:57.us to try to establish how many people were missing. Admittedly,

:27:58. > :28:04.they got little help from us. We kept moving around to confuse the

:28:05. > :28:07.counting. This morning, veterans joined family members from around

:28:08. > :28:14.the world in laying wreaths at the tunnel exit. The number of

:28:15. > :28:17.eyewitnesses is dwindling but the fascination with this tale of

:28:18. > :28:22.endeavour and sacrifice still in Jaws. The visitors that came here

:28:23. > :28:27.represented all the nationalities that took part in the escape that

:28:28. > :28:31.came under that wire. It was not just Britain, it was the

:28:32. > :28:36.Commonwealth, Poland and another of other countries. The tributes

:28:37. > :28:40.represent that. It is not about glorifying war or remembering the

:28:41. > :28:41.images in a Hollywood movie, it is about a place of peace and

:28:42. > :28:53.remembrance. Early this morning we got

:28:54. > :28:59.temperatures down to minus 6.8 degrees in Northumberland. That

:29:00. > :29:05.makes it the coldest day, not just for the spring but the winter just

:29:06. > :29:09.gone. There is a lot of sunshine. That is what most of us will see for

:29:10. > :29:16.the rest of the day, some long spells of sunshine. It might turn

:29:17. > :29:20.hazy with patchy cloud. There is some cloud towards the West which is

:29:21. > :29:25.bringing a rather different day to Northern Ireland, Wales and the

:29:26. > :29:31.South West. It is windy and wet. There is a cold field to things.

:29:32. > :29:35.After the cold start in Scotland, it is a lovely afternoon the template

:29:36. > :29:42.is getting up to nine degrees. Any fog has did this period --

:29:43. > :29:48.temperatures getting up to nine degrees. Any fog has disappeared. A

:29:49. > :29:54.decent afternoon for East Anglia, the south-east and the Midlands. It

:29:55. > :30:02.will change in the south-west. We are back into the cloud, the wind

:30:03. > :30:07.and the rain. The rain is not overly heavy but a wet afternoon. It will

:30:08. > :30:11.push its way into Scotland and creep its way across England. The further

:30:12. > :30:17.east you are, the temperatures might drop away for a time. For most of

:30:18. > :30:24.us, a lot of cloud around and a fair bit of rain. Temperatures about

:30:25. > :30:31.four, five degrees. Tomorrow, there will be a fair bit of cloud and rain

:30:32. > :30:35.around. East Anglia, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire will do quite well. In

:30:36. > :30:43.the south-west, properly brighter than today but showers around.

:30:44. > :30:49.Further west on choose the night and on to Wednesday, it will gradually

:30:50. > :30:53.be thought out. On Wednesday, an easterly breeze will drag a weather

:30:54. > :30:56.system in from the North Sea. The close of the proximity to the North

:30:57. > :31:02.Sea, the cloud will thicken up. It could be quite wet. It will not rain

:31:03. > :31:06.everywhere. There will be some sunshine around through the week

:31:07. > :31:10.ahead. When the sun comes out, it will feel pleasant. Some rain in the

:31:11. > :31:15.forecast but nothing too heavy into widespread. A chilly, easterly

:31:16. > :31:19.breeze will develop into the latter part of the week. The Malaysian

:31:20. > :31:23.Prime Minister is about to update the world on the latest development

:31:24. > :31:28.is often more sightings of possible wreckage from the missing Malaysian

:31:29. > :31:31.plane. An Australian mission is expected to reach the site shortly.

:31:32. > :31:33.You can watch that on the BBC
