:02:38. > :02:46.Looking ahead to the trial, what are the charges? Some serious
:02:46. > :02:54.charges connected to a merger in 2000. Mark Haddock and eight others
:02:54. > :03:00.are charged with that. -- a murder in 2000. There are other charges of
:03:00. > :03:05.possession of firearms and assault. Much of the evidence comes from two
:03:05. > :03:12.brothers, former members of the UVF. They admitted their role in the
:03:12. > :03:16.murder. They are serving sentences for aiding and abetting that murder.
:03:16. > :03:26.They were jailed for only three years. That was because they agreed
:03:26. > :03:26.
:03:26. > :03:30.to give evidence against the 14 men who will appear in court. There is
:03:30. > :03:32.to be a fresh attempt to bring down Belfast's peace walls. The move has
:03:32. > :03:35.been put forward by Alliance councillor Tom Eakin, who admitted

:04:12. > :04:14.effort to live together. This summer saw serious sectarian
:04:14. > :04:19.clashes in east Belfast. An indication that it will take longer
:04:19. > :04:22.in some areas than others to bring the barriers down. Work goes on all
:04:22. > :04:24.the time behind the scenes. This afternoon, I met two young people
:04:24. > :04:34.from a cross-community group, Ambassadors For Peace, who have set
:04:34. > :04:36.
:04:37. > :04:43.a target date of 2019 for the walls to come down.
:04:43. > :04:49.There is trust in the cross- community projects that, and I
:04:49. > :04:53.think people used the excuse that used to waltz as an excuse for
:04:53. > :05:00.protection, but if the walls were not there, people would many get a
:05:00. > :05:03.long because there is no wall protecting them. What kind of
:05:03. > :05:08.project would encourage people to feel relaxed about the walls coming
:05:08. > :05:14.down? Getting people to meet each other. You will see people on each
:05:14. > :05:19.side of the wall who have never met. I was like that beforehand. I had
:05:19. > :05:26.never met a Catholic. I was a bit worried at first and then I got
:05:26. > :05:32.used to the idea and made a lot of friends. That way, at you could get
:05:32. > :05:38.used to the idea. How do you bring them together? Community projects
:05:39. > :05:46.and staff. Get together in youth centres and go on trips. Get to
:05:46. > :05:50.know each other. It will change minds. How important is political
:05:50. > :05:56.leadership in all of this? political leaders are the ones who
:05:56. > :06:02.make the decisions. If there is going to be a change, they allow it
:06:02. > :06:06.to happen. It is up young people. They must for set upon political
:06:06. > :06:11.leaders that we what changed. From then on, the political leaders can
:06:11. > :06:17.take action. Do you think there is a generation thing here, older
:06:17. > :06:20.people are reluctant to see the walls come down? For I would say so.
