0:00:10 > 0:00:17Good evening. This is BBC Newsline with Noel Thompson and Sarah

0:00:17 > 0:00:22Travers. The headlines this Tuesday evening: the former Bishop of Derry

0:00:22 > 0:00:25calls for an end to clerical celibacy. We are at a time when we

0:00:25 > 0:00:30are short of priests. I think we should open it up to make it

0:00:30 > 0:00:34possible for more people to be involved in a priest at.

0:00:34 > 0:00:40changes proposed for election boundaries. We hear from

0:00:40 > 0:00:44politicians and from voters. The MPs had not done very much for

0:00:44 > 0:00:48The search for a missing Ballycastle woman. We report from

0:00:48 > 0:00:54the north coast. And, vets in Practice, but maybe

0:00:54 > 0:00:57not in Northern Ireland. We find out what might hold them Meet the

0:00:57 > 0:01:00English giant with roots in Northern Ireland who wants to be

0:01:00 > 0:01:08the heavyweight boxing champion of the world. And, the very strong and

0:01:08 > 0:01:11gusty winds are at last showing The Catholic Church has distanced

0:01:11 > 0:01:14itself from the call by one of Ireland's most senior clerics for

0:01:14 > 0:01:18the church to change the rule on celibacy, and allow priests to

0:01:18 > 0:01:23marry. The retired Bishop of Derry, Edward Daly, raises the controversy

0:01:23 > 0:01:27in a new book covering his years in that post. Dr Daly says the changes

0:01:27 > 0:01:31would solve many of the problems facing the Church. The Church says

0:01:31 > 0:01:34the bishop is giving a personal opinion. At his home in Derry

0:01:34 > 0:01:40earlier this afternoon I asked him if he had felt throughout his

0:01:40 > 0:01:45priesthood that this was an issue that need addressing.

0:01:45 > 0:01:51It is something I have always thought about. I suppose it was

0:01:51 > 0:01:55brought to the forefront of my mind during the time of my bishop heard

0:01:55 > 0:01:59when people said they could no longer live a celibate life. These

0:01:59 > 0:02:03were good men, good priests. I was heartbroken that they could no

0:02:03 > 0:02:07longer continue in the priesthood. But they had met somebody that they

0:02:07 > 0:02:10loved, who they wanted to share their life with, and could no

0:02:10 > 0:02:14longer live a celibate life. there is something special about

0:02:14 > 0:02:17the relationship between a priest and got, and the relationship

0:02:17 > 0:02:24between a priest and his congregation. You accept that will

0:02:24 > 0:02:31all radically changed? No, there is a special place for Sella birds in

0:02:31 > 0:02:35the priesthood. There are a lot of tasks for priests that would be

0:02:35 > 0:02:40hard for a married priest to carry out, especially in the Catholic

0:02:40 > 0:02:45Church. There will always be a special place for celibate priests.

0:02:45 > 0:02:53I enjoy life as a celibate priest, but I think there is also space for

0:02:53 > 0:02:59people who cannot live a celibate life, and that should be allowed.

0:02:59 > 0:03:05Do you see some kind of two-tier priesthood? No, I don't think so.

0:03:05 > 0:03:12In the early Church, celibacy was not an issue. Priests could get

0:03:12 > 0:03:17married. Others chose to live the celibate life. In the Middle Ages

0:03:17 > 0:03:21that was changed because of abuses of various kinds. The issue was

0:03:21 > 0:03:27addressed at that time and celibacy was made mandatory. Do you see a

0:03:27 > 0:03:32link between celibacy and clerical sexual abuse, and if you do, do you

0:03:32 > 0:03:38think change in the role would help stop that? No, I don't. If you look

0:03:39 > 0:03:46at the history of child abuse and child neglect, which is endemic in

0:03:46 > 0:03:51our society, the vast majority of that takes place in the family home.

0:03:51 > 0:03:56I would say most of it takes place between people who are not celibate.

0:03:56 > 0:04:01I think those who are celibate, priests unfortunately have

0:04:01 > 0:04:05committed a terrible crimes in that regard which have scandalised all

0:04:05 > 0:04:12of us, hurt all of us deeply. I respect the priest had enormously

0:04:12 > 0:04:17and to hear of any body abusing it grieves me. But I do not accept

0:04:17 > 0:04:22this would ease that problem. We are looking at the problem of a

0:04:22 > 0:04:25shortage of priests. Also, people in our community who would

0:04:26 > 0:04:31potentially be good priests but are dissuaded from joining because of

0:04:31 > 0:04:36relationships. Bishop Daly talking to me this afternoon. Celibacy has

0:04:36 > 0:04:39been a long-held principle in the church. But, with Bishop Daly

0:04:39 > 0:04:46bringing the debate into focus, Kevin Sharkey has been finding out

0:04:46 > 0:04:51what young Catholics think about it. There is another interesting topic

0:04:51 > 0:04:56in the classroom today. Not a new debate, but a new generation. The

0:04:56 > 0:05:06eventual outcome could write a chapter in the history of the

0:05:06 > 0:05:09

0:05:09 > 0:05:13Church. Move on now. Continue looking at ethics... The ideas will

0:05:13 > 0:05:19provoked debate amongst priests, but what of the next generation in

0:05:19 > 0:05:23the Catholic Church? Marriage would be a distraction. I believe it is a

0:05:23 > 0:05:26distraction from God and from the church. I think a priest should be

0:05:26 > 0:05:30allowed to marry because it would encourage more young people to take

0:05:30 > 0:05:34it up as a vocation. I think priests should stand up and have a

0:05:34 > 0:05:38say about how they feel about it. There is nothing wrong been married.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41Everyone should be treated as an equal. These students would find

0:05:41 > 0:05:46the definitive answer to this issue in their school books, but as the

0:05:46 > 0:05:50debate continues, they want to listen and be heard. Generally it

0:05:50 > 0:05:56is something that comes up quite often in the classroom, and it is

0:05:56 > 0:06:00something quite controversial and everyone has their own opinion. We

0:06:00 > 0:06:04encourage all the children to think outside the box. The final outcome

0:06:04 > 0:06:09may not be clear right now, but that could change in the next

0:06:10 > 0:06:13generation. It could be all change in the

0:06:13 > 0:06:16political world here with the unveiling of a new electoral map.

0:06:16 > 0:06:20If the plan is adopted, two of Northern Ireland's seats will be

0:06:20 > 0:06:23cut - one in south Belfast, another in the West. The review is part of

0:06:23 > 0:06:27a shake-up across the UK and its outcome will be significant, not

0:06:27 > 0:06:31just for Westminster, but also for politics at Stormont. Our political

0:06:31 > 0:06:41editor Mark Devenport joins us now. Mark, what is the general thrust of

0:06:41 > 0:06:46

0:06:46 > 0:06:51this review? Promised to cut the number of MPs down to 600 -- the

0:06:51 > 0:06:55coalition government. Northern Ireland has 18 MPs representing

0:06:55 > 0:07:03those constituencies, but the idea, according to this plan, is that

0:07:03 > 0:07:05number would be cut down by two to just 16. As you can see, the

0:07:05 > 0:07:08electoral map would contain some new names. There's Mid Antrim,

0:07:08 > 0:07:10spanning an area from the Irish Sea spanning an area from the Irish Sea

0:07:10 > 0:07:16across to Ballymena, and North Antrim will change, losing much of

0:07:16 > 0:07:21Ballymena, but taking in Coleraine. There is a big impact in Belfast,

0:07:21 > 0:07:25isn't there? Yes, for hundreds of years Belfast has had four

0:07:25 > 0:07:29constituencies. But populations have moved to the outskirts and

0:07:29 > 0:07:34that has lowered the electorate in those Belfast seat. The answer from

0:07:34 > 0:07:37the review team to this problem is to merge them into three new seat.

0:07:37 > 0:07:42Belfast South would disappear and become Belfast South West, probably

0:07:42 > 0:07:47held by Sinn Fein, and also Belfast South East which the DUP and allies

0:07:47 > 0:07:51would have to fight out. As you can imagine, Alastair Macdonald is not

0:07:51 > 0:07:55impressed with this change, his constituency disappearing

0:07:55 > 0:08:00constituency disappearing altogether. He says it is bizarre.

0:08:01 > 0:08:03It makes no sense to me. The only sensible thing to do is to follow

0:08:03 > 0:08:09the population out to the suburbs as they move out, and Belfast could

0:08:09 > 0:08:19easily have been expanded and retained as a four-seat

0:08:19 > 0:08:20

0:08:20 > 0:08:24constituency. So, bizarre for Alastair Macdonald. Right now to

0:08:24 > 0:08:34the west and north of Loch Neagh we have three neighbouring seats of

0:08:34 > 0:08:34

0:08:34 > 0:08:39Mid-Ulster, West Tyrone and East Londonderry. The review teams want

0:08:39 > 0:08:43to merge those into two new seats. Mid Tyrone, stretching from Lough

0:08:43 > 0:08:46Neagh to the border with Donegal, and a new seat called Glenshane.

0:08:46 > 0:08:51Initial projections are that Sinn Fein could take both those seats,

0:08:51 > 0:08:55meaning this would be bad news for the DUP's Gregory Campbell. To get

0:08:55 > 0:09:01a sense of what people are making of this change, my colleague Gareth

0:09:01 > 0:09:05Gordon has been to Limavady in the East Londonderry constituency.

0:09:05 > 0:09:09If they're worried about the loss of East Londonderry, the people of

0:09:09 > 0:09:16Limavady are hiding it well. doesn't make me feel anything. MPs

0:09:16 > 0:09:21have not done much for me, so really I don't give a damn. I am

0:09:21 > 0:09:25not really that bothered. To be honest with you. Nobody seems to be

0:09:25 > 0:09:29bothered her. No, that's because there are worse things happening in

0:09:29 > 0:09:32the world. But, while the full implications of the new Glenshane

0:09:32 > 0:09:37constituency have still to be worked out, not everyone is likely

0:09:37 > 0:09:41to be so relaxed. If the Unionist constituency likely to become

0:09:41 > 0:09:48nationalist, politically at least, the big losers could well be the

0:09:48 > 0:09:51DUP. Gregory Campbell has been the DUP MP for East Londonderry since

0:09:51 > 0:09:562001. Should these changes be confirmed, this could end at the

0:09:56 > 0:10:04next election. It will be interesting to hear his comments on

0:10:04 > 0:10:11this. But, today at least, he was keeping quiet, although this

0:10:11 > 0:10:16Limavady councillor was clearly angry. We are ready to join the

0:10:16 > 0:10:23north-east, and of a sudden now we are going to be pushed into the

0:10:23 > 0:10:28West. I will be disappointed if the East Londonderry constituency goes.

0:10:28 > 0:10:33It could mean the disappearance of the last Unionist constituency in

0:10:33 > 0:10:36the West, although Sinn Fein are reserving, it for now. This local

0:10:36 > 0:10:41journalists believes local people will have mixed feelings. I think

0:10:41 > 0:10:45there is that sense out there that there are too many MPs, and in

0:10:45 > 0:10:50terms of saving money, people think that is something that needs to

0:10:50 > 0:10:55happen. But, at the same time, I think that people think they will

0:10:55 > 0:11:01lose a local voice in the likes of Westminster and they have concerns

0:11:01 > 0:11:06about that. I think people will be torn somewhat. For today, it was

0:11:06 > 0:11:10the high winds, not the winds of change, which concerned them more.

0:11:11 > 0:11:14So, whether people are bothered or not, this is not a done deal.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17it will go out to public consultation. There will be public

0:11:17 > 0:11:21meetings here and they will be revised proposals. It will

0:11:21 > 0:11:25eventually have to get past MPs in the Commons, many of him a pretty

0:11:25 > 0:11:30exercised about this, as you can imagine. It would have an impact

0:11:30 > 0:11:35not just a Westminster, but also in Stormont as this would mean the

0:11:35 > 0:11:37loss of 12 m l as on the hill. San Francisco prosecutors have

0:11:37 > 0:11:40dropped charges against Patrick Power, the man arrested last

0:11:40 > 0:11:43Thursday on suspicion of assault of Gaelic footballer Mark McGovern.

0:11:43 > 0:11:48McGovern, from Belcoo, suffered severe brain trauma in an off-the-

0:11:48 > 0:11:51ball incident during a match in California in June. He is still

0:11:51 > 0:11:54undergoing rehabilitation in the United States.

0:11:54 > 0:11:58The witness in the trial of the loyalist Mark Haddock and 13 others

0:11:58 > 0:12:01at Belfast Crown Court has denied telling lies out of spite. Robert

0:12:01 > 0:12:05Stewart has been continuing his evidence on the fifth day of the

0:12:05 > 0:12:09trial. Nine men are charged with the murder of Tommy English 11

0:12:09 > 0:12:13years ago. Stewart has admitted to a gaping hole in some of his

0:12:13 > 0:12:15evidence. Family and friends of a 47-year-old

0:12:15 > 0:12:19Ballycastle woman, who has been missing since Sunday, are becoming

0:12:19 > 0:12:22increasingly concerned for her safety. Karen Coyles, who is

0:12:22 > 0:12:27chairperson of the local Camogie club, had just returned from Dublin

0:12:27 > 0:12:34where she and her team had been playing a match. Mervyn Jess

0:12:34 > 0:12:38reports. This morning, the search resumed

0:12:38 > 0:12:44for the missing woman in woodland near Ballycastle on the north

0:12:44 > 0:12:47Antrim coast. Karen Coyles was last seen on Sunday in her home town.

0:12:48 > 0:12:51Colleagues say she is an organised and punctual person, so when she

0:12:51 > 0:12:55didn't turn up for work on Monday morning at the University of Ulster

0:12:55 > 0:13:02in Coleraine, the alarm was raised. Her car was later found parked

0:13:02 > 0:13:05outside the front gates of the local club on the road and

0:13:05 > 0:13:11Ballycastle. Her friends say she can't understand why she has gone

0:13:11 > 0:13:19missing. Karen was on a high after winning the title, captain of the

0:13:19 > 0:13:23team. She was in great form. This is just totally out of character.

0:13:23 > 0:13:28She was really one of the things that bound everyone here together,

0:13:28 > 0:13:31and I think that is why there has been such a big response from the

0:13:31 > 0:13:35club members, because we know what she has done for us. I think

0:13:35 > 0:13:40everybody wants to do something, just to find her safe and well.

0:13:40 > 0:13:45The police are treating this as a missing person inquiry. The search

0:13:45 > 0:13:49on land and at sea has involved local people, the Coast Guard, and

0:13:49 > 0:13:56local lifeboat crews. The police helicopter has also been called in.

0:13:56 > 0:13:59The local community is taking part. The Football Club, the Camogie club,

0:13:59 > 0:14:03all the members current and past, even some of the children, have

0:14:03 > 0:14:07been asking what they can do. Meanwhile, they do what they can.

0:14:07 > 0:14:17The search goes on and anyone with information about her whereabouts

0:14:17 > 0:14:18

0:14:18 > 0:14:21You're watching BBC Newsline. Still to come on the programme: Why

0:14:21 > 0:14:30working with animals can cost students here up to 80,000.

0:14:30 > 0:14:35He may be only 11 but he's already bowling them over.

0:14:35 > 0:14:431 Moravia as it sent us some dramatic pictures of an air-sea

0:14:43 > 0:14:47rescue a at the coast on Saturday. There was a yacht in difficulty

0:14:47 > 0:14:55just off Ballywalter. His initial attempt to you -- Thailand the

0:14:55 > 0:15:00rescue on the yacht failed and showing huge bravery, he managed to

0:15:00 > 0:15:07swim to the yacht and climb on board. The helicopter lifted them

0:15:07 > 0:15:13both off the deck and into the aircraft. The rescued man was

0:15:13 > 0:15:19reported to be unharmed by his ordeal. Extraordinary pictures.

0:15:19 > 0:15:24so brave, incredible. We can see more of that video on a Facebook

0:15:24 > 0:15:30page. Get in touch with us if you have benefited she would like to

0:15:30 > 0:15:39share with us. -- any fitted to that you would like to share with

0:15:39 > 0:15:44One million illegal cigarettes destined to appear in the streets

0:15:44 > 0:15:48of Northern Ireland had been intercepted by Customs officials in

0:15:48 > 0:15:54Dublin. They came in a 40 ft container which was marked as

0:15:54 > 0:16:02carrying paper products of. It is estimated that they would have been

0:16:02 > 0:16:07taken from Dublin and brought up a sale to Northern Ireland. --

0:16:07 > 0:16:11brought in for sale. A Londonderry man was shot dead by

0:16:11 > 0:16:16his order in the City 40 years ago. There is an investigation into the

0:16:16 > 0:16:19killing by the historical inquiries team. Here is our reporter. It is a

0:16:19 > 0:16:25letter this family never thought they would receive. An official

0:16:25 > 0:16:28apology from the head of the army. It followed the death of their

0:16:28 > 0:16:35uncle in September 1971. He was shot by a Grenadier Guard while

0:16:35 > 0:16:42crossing the junction of East way and Western Street. The soldier had

0:16:42 > 0:16:49claimed he had been aiming a rifle. Last year, the historical inquiry

0:16:49 > 0:16:59team found he was unarmed and innocent. Having decided this, the

0:16:59 > 0:17:09

0:17:09 > 0:17:16It obviously acknowledges the fact that he was an innocent man. We

0:17:16 > 0:17:20have cleared his name. We do take issue with the fact that they said

0:17:20 > 0:17:26it was a mistake, that the soldier made a mistake. I don't agree with

0:17:26 > 0:17:30that. But in all, the wording of the letter is very personal and we

0:17:30 > 0:17:38are delighted that we have got this far. There is absolutely no shadow

0:17:38 > 0:17:46of the doubt that Billy was a totally innocent man. We can only

0:17:46 > 0:17:50stand proud of. He would applaud our efforts. The family say they're

0:17:50 > 0:17:54not interested in pursuing a prosecution of the soldier involved

0:17:54 > 0:17:58in the fatal shooting here 40 years ago. But they hope their long

0:17:58 > 0:18:06campaign will offer hope to other families who find themselves in

0:18:06 > 0:18:10similar circumstances. While local students are delighted

0:18:10 > 0:18:16at the freezing of university fees, one group is feeling hand -- hard

0:18:16 > 0:18:20done by. It is not possible to studied to become a vet in Northern

0:18:20 > 0:18:24Ireland, so students have to go to Britain where they now face total

0:18:24 > 0:18:29costs of over 80,000. The North of Ireland Veterinary Association

0:18:29 > 0:18:33feels that will price young people art of the profession and wants

0:18:33 > 0:18:41Stephen Farry to help them out. Like most young vets across

0:18:41 > 0:18:47Northern Ireland, this man's their efforts did come fully qualified

0:18:47 > 0:18:57involve five years at university in Britain where these have increased

0:18:57 > 0:19:01to 80,000 a year. It is a very high demand course. You're in from

0:19:01 > 0:19:069am to 5pm every day and do have a lot of studying to do it after your

0:19:06 > 0:19:11lectures. Even during the summer holidays and Easter time we a set

0:19:11 > 0:19:17amount of work to do. Young women now represent the majority of newly

0:19:17 > 0:19:20qualified vets. The prospect of repaying and 80,000 debt or

0:19:20 > 0:19:25beginning a career may prove discouraging for perspective better

0:19:25 > 0:19:31know students. Whenever you're qualified, your 24 or 25. Your only

0:19:31 > 0:19:36really starting your practice life at that stage, sober the tuition

0:19:36 > 0:19:45fees as they are at the moment, it is difficult enough to start a

0:19:45 > 0:19:50career -- so with tuition fees. most, there is no escape from the

0:19:50 > 0:19:549,000 the year being charged in Britain. The Department for

0:19:54 > 0:20:00employment and learning is offering loans as well as a living costs and

0:20:00 > 0:20:04entitlement. But students need more help from the government.

0:20:04 > 0:20:08concern is that students will not go to the best and repression, and

0:20:08 > 0:20:18if they do go, they will be able to afford come back to Northern

0:20:18 > 0:20:26

0:20:26 > 0:20:31Ireland. -- the better Derry profession. -- vetinary. With the

0:20:31 > 0:20:38budget already stretched, finding money is another dilemma for the

0:20:38 > 0:20:46executive. He is 6 ft now and says he will be

0:20:46 > 0:20:50the new Pickstock off boxing. -- the new big star of boxing. Yes,

0:20:50 > 0:20:54Tyson Fury is the current Commonwealth boxing champion and is

0:20:54 > 0:20:58the headline act other King's Hall this Saturday night. He is fighting

0:20:58 > 0:21:05here because of his wits in Northern Ireland. He was denied the

0:21:05 > 0:21:13chance to fight by Ireland at the Olympics because he could not prove

0:21:13 > 0:21:17his ancestry. We met up with him today. There will be plenty of

0:21:17 > 0:21:22family support for Tyson Fury this weekend. His determined to make up

0:21:22 > 0:21:29for lost time and fight under the Irish flag. It is very important

0:21:29 > 0:21:34for me to fight here. I won a gold medal in 2008 at the Olympic Games.

0:21:34 > 0:21:44Aid is now about time that I come here and do my business. -- it is

0:21:44 > 0:21:45

0:21:45 > 0:21:51now about time. Our family live around Northern Ireland, we just

0:21:51 > 0:22:01want to see him doing it for Ireland. Tyson Fury is proud of his

0:22:01 > 0:22:06

0:22:06 > 0:22:09local roots. If you have got any sort of Irish in you, you listen to

0:22:09 > 0:22:14what to our common you forget everything else. That is what I've

0:22:14 > 0:22:19been brought up to believe. So here I am, trying to do the best I can.

0:22:19 > 0:22:28It is all sorted now because I had got the paperwork sorted. A piece

0:22:28 > 0:22:35of paper doesn't really mean anything, I always knew the truth.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38The King's Hall will have an All- Ireland filled with this Saturday.

0:22:38 > 0:22:41From a giant boxer to a much smaller sportsman but whose

0:22:41 > 0:22:45ambitions are just as big. Ryan Evans has been creating quite a

0:22:45 > 0:22:47buzz in the sport of bowls. And he's lowering the average age

0:22:47 > 0:22:57considerably at the Castelton Club in North Belfast. Nial Foster went

0:22:57 > 0:23:03to meet the young bowling prodigy. Ryan Evans is not your average

0:23:03 > 0:23:09bowler. At just 11 years old, he is the youngest player at the bowling

0:23:09 > 0:23:13club and he is making a good impression. He puts out mats, helps

0:23:13 > 0:23:16with the boards. He is a good inspiration for the people in the

0:23:16 > 0:23:22club. It is just nice and encouraging to see him coming up

0:23:22 > 0:23:30and playing. Ryan does not know just how bigger the house appears

0:23:30 > 0:23:40around the club. He is just happy to practise. -- how big they help

0:23:40 > 0:23:44

0:23:44 > 0:23:54he is. I'd just come down and throw some balls. I am the only small one

0:23:54 > 0:23:57plane. And some members have big hopes for the small guy.

0:23:57 > 0:24:01younger you start this game, the younger you're going to be on the

0:24:01 > 0:24:09international team. The average age has dropped from when I first

0:24:09 > 0:24:15played on it from about 50 to about 23 years of age. Ryan has a bit to

0:24:15 > 0:24:21go before he is 23. I am the youngest one here and I'm pretty

0:24:21 > 0:24:30good! It is to have to pity that in the meantime, T-shirts only come in

0:24:30 > 0:24:34adult sizes. A very nice young man. A case of

0:24:34 > 0:24:42little and large in the Sport tonight! I don't know who will be a

0:24:42 > 0:24:48champion first, but they don't want to argue with Tyson Fury!

0:24:48 > 0:24:54Now, let's talk about the weather. A little more calm today, but let's

0:24:54 > 0:24:59get the very latest. We are just about at the tail-end of those very

0:24:59 > 0:25:08strong winds. Not as a stormy years yesterday but it was still very

0:25:08 > 0:25:16blustery indeed. -- not as stormy as yesterday. Some pretty high

0:25:16 > 0:25:24gusts along the north coast. Those wins are still affecting of a high-

0:25:24 > 0:25:30speed ferries. -- those winds. There has not been disruption for a

0:25:30 > 0:25:40bus. Some people are making the most of the blustery conditions --

0:25:40 > 0:25:45

0:25:45 > 0:25:49for a bus. -- all of us. Still quite wet. The winds do it ease

0:25:49 > 0:25:54down as we go through the course of the night, which will be a mild one

0:25:54 > 0:25:59for most of us. We are going to hold on to mostly cloudy skies and

0:25:59 > 0:26:06there will be further rain for central and northern areas.

0:26:06 > 0:26:11Tomorrow, some improvement. Eventually, it is going to turn

0:26:11 > 0:26:19drier and brighter. Tomorrow morning, it is a bit of a gloomy

0:26:20 > 0:26:23start. The rain and drizzle is edging its way slowly south. It

0:26:23 > 0:26:30still could be a little bit breezy into the North Channel but this is

0:26:30 > 0:26:34going to be one of the first places to benefit from the brighter skies.

0:26:34 > 0:26:44By the end of the afternoon, we will see some sunnier skies are

0:26:44 > 0:26:45

0:26:45 > 0:26:55starting to poke through. With the lighter winds feeling better, with

0:26:55 > 0:26:56

0:26:56 > 0:27:04highs of 16 Celsius. Not a bad end to the day. Then maybe some drizzle

0:27:04 > 0:27:09endearing him to first day -- lingering into Thursday. As we head

0:27:09 > 0:27:15towards the weekend, more rain approaching. Never mind, we will

0:27:15 > 0:27:19struggle on as always. Our top stories: The former Bishop of Derry

0:27:19 > 0:27:22has called for priests to be allowed to marry.

0:27:22 > 0:27:28Big changes could be on the way to election boundaries with the cut in

0:27:28 > 0:27:31the number of MPs. Searchers had been taking place in

0:27:31 > 0:27:35the Ballycastle area for a woman who -- who has been missing since

0:27:35 > 0:27:43Sunday. The cost of living has risen again
