:00:08. > :00:12.Good evening. Two women and two children have escaped injury in a

:00:12. > :00:15.gun attack at their home in West Belfast. A shot was fired through

:00:15. > :00:25.their living room window. The women, who are originally from the

:00:25. > :00:29.Philippines, work in local hospitals. Kevin Sharkey reports. A

:00:29. > :00:33.shot was fired through the double glazed window, hitting the back

:00:33. > :00:38.wall. One of the women was working during the night, the others were

:00:38. > :00:41.slipping. They heard a bang but thought it was fireworks. This

:00:41. > :00:47.morning, this six year-old girl found broken glass on the floor and

:00:47. > :00:54.the police found a bullet. The family is distressed. It might be a

:00:54. > :01:00.racist attack, I cannot explain. I am in a state of shock because I

:01:01. > :01:07.cannot really stop thinking about it. Do we stay here? I am paying

:01:07. > :01:12.for the mortgage. A local man also stays at the address and police say

:01:12. > :01:14.they are examining several lines of inquiry. The SDLP leader, Alasdair

:01:14. > :01:22.McDonnell, says that the party's only Executive minister will be

:01:22. > :01:24.changed next year. As part of the plan to rotate the post every 18

:01:24. > :01:30.months, the current Environment Minister, Alex Attwood, will be

:01:30. > :01:33.replaced. Natasha Sayee reports. It is two months since Alasdair

:01:33. > :01:39.McDonnell took over the reins of the SDLP and this announcement in

:01:39. > :01:43.today's Irish News represents his boldest move. The party has only

:01:43. > :01:48.one seat in the Executive, the Environment Minister. Alex Attwood

:01:48. > :01:58.holds the title but the plan is to rotate the job every 18 months.

:01:58. > :01:58.

:01:58. > :02:03.Why? We have one ministry and a chairman ship and a vice

:02:03. > :02:07.chairmanship and people say that they want their cake shared out.

:02:07. > :02:12.And I am intending to share it and I plainly see at the beginning of

:02:12. > :02:17.the New Year that I will be sharing out the cake and there is no

:02:17. > :02:20.implications in that, positive or negative. It's the first time the

:02:20. > :02:24.SDLP will have tried a mid-term reshuffle so who are the

:02:24. > :02:32.environment ministers of the future? Mr McDonnell would not tell

:02:32. > :02:35.us. Mid Ulster's Patsy McGlone is tipped for promotion, as is Newry

:02:35. > :02:40.and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley. It could also go to Dolores Kelly to

:02:40. > :02:48.raise your profile in Upper Bann. We will definitely no in the summer

:02:48. > :02:50.of 2013, when the new minister is set to step in. A 29-year-old man

:02:51. > :02:55.has appeared in court accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm

:02:55. > :02:57.during an attack in North Belfast. Jonathon Rossborough of Armoy

:02:58. > :03:01.Gardens in Newtownabbey faces charges connected to an assault on

:03:01. > :03:11.a man at Alliance Parade early on Sunday morning. The victim, a man

:03:11. > :03:14.in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries and is still in hospital.

:03:14. > :03:19.The man who died in an accident in County Antrim on New Year's Eve was

:03:19. > :03:24.51 year-old Eamonn Hassan. He was trapped under a vehicle at his home

:03:24. > :03:33.near Rasharkin. He was married with three children. Now a look at the

:03:33. > :03:37.After a cold day and with wintry showers and places, we have the

:03:37. > :03:41.prospect of wet, windy weather developing through the course of

:03:41. > :03:45.tonight and into tomorrow. Before that, you'll find today's wintry

:03:45. > :03:49.showers eased to give us some drier weather through the evening and the

:03:49. > :03:53.windows still gusty and they will pick up through the night. Not

:03:53. > :03:58.before the rain arrives, some very wet weather, persistent spells for

:03:58. > :04:02.a few hours tonight before clearing away and turning showery. At the

:04:02. > :04:07.end of the night, temperatures can drop to three degrees, low enough

:04:07. > :04:11.for some icy patches. The wind is the Den feature, the Met Office has

:04:11. > :04:17.issued an amber warning, which means we must be prepared for some

:04:17. > :04:22.damaging and destructive costs. More likely the further north, 70

:04:22. > :04:29.and 80 mph but even inland, we could see 60 mph. It's a very

:04:29. > :04:32.stormy start to the day, mainly dry but that wind will bring colder air

:04:32. > :04:37.and showers towards the afternoon and again, some of those could turn

:04:37. > :04:41.wintry with a mixture of rain, sleet and hail still. More frequent

:04:41. > :04:44.in the north and west, you were in the south and east but a cold day

:04:45. > :04:50.with highs of around five or six degrees and when the showers, long,

:04:50. > :04:53.some pretty high costs. Wednesday, still Wendy, matter but a wet day
