:00:25. > :00:32.headlines: Tributes are paid to the 10-year old boy who died in a farm

:00:32. > :00:36.accident yesterday. He had a great sense of humour, a wonderful sense

:00:36. > :00:44.of timing and he would say things that would have myself, his family,

:00:44. > :00:50.the congregation and laughter on many occasions. The death of Aaron

:00:50. > :00:54.Macaulay has brought the issue of farm safety to the fore.

:01:25. > :01:29.Tributes have been paid to the 10-year old boy who died in a farm

:01:29. > :01:34.accident in County Down yesterday. Aaron Macaulay has been described as

:01:35. > :01:42.an angel and someone who was full of life. We have been speaking to some

:01:42. > :01:45.of those who knew him. Surrounded by his brothers and sisters, 10-year

:01:45. > :01:55.old Aaron Macaulay was the youngest of five children from this

:01:55. > :01:57.

:01:57. > :02:05.well-known family who farm close to money slain.

:02:05. > :02:13.He did at the daily grind yesterday afternoon. His brother, who was also

:02:13. > :02:18.injured, was able to leave hospital last night. Aaron was somebody who,

:02:19. > :02:24.as his mum described him this morning, he was an angel. He was a

:02:24. > :02:32.boy who was full of fun, he was full of life and he was, despite only

:02:32. > :02:36.being ten years of age, someone who lived life to the full. You cannot

:02:36. > :02:40.talk about Aaron without a smile coming to your face. He had a great

:02:40. > :02:46.sense of humour, it wonderful sense of timing and he would say things

:02:47. > :02:50.that would have myself, his family and the congregation and laughter on

:02:50. > :02:56.many occasions. At Aaron's school staff had been

:02:56. > :03:02.struggling to take in what has happened and are thinking how do

:03:02. > :03:07.they will be able to support the other children when they return.

:03:07. > :03:13.was known by everybody. He loved to help with the younger children in

:03:13. > :03:17.the playground. He would play with children who were playing by

:03:17. > :03:20.themselves. He was very popular and got involved

:03:20. > :03:24.in after-school activities. He always wanted to be involved and we

:03:24. > :03:30.appreciate his contribution to school life, even though it was very

:03:30. > :03:36.short. Aaron's death will be a stark

:03:36. > :03:43.reminder to many farming families across Ireland what a danger farming

:03:43. > :03:48.can be. He is the fourth person to die in a farming incidence this

:03:49. > :03:53.year, and the first child to die in such an incident in four years.

:03:54. > :04:01.The incident is already being investigated. His funeral is due to

:04:01. > :04:11.take place on Friday. The Clogher ballet stole -- the

:04:11. > :04:32.

:04:32. > :04:36.celebration of rural life. But the farming community were

:04:36. > :04:41.overshadowed by the tragic death of Aaron Macaulay. Many people

:04:41. > :04:47.expressed their sympathy for them McCauley family and said that the

:04:47. > :04:55.death of the child brought into focus the danger involved in even

:04:55. > :05:02.the simplest farm tasks. Farming brings with it its fair

:05:02. > :05:05.share of hazard. Machines have been part of farming life for generations

:05:05. > :05:10.but even with advances in technology, the inherent dangers

:05:10. > :05:20.still exist. Working with animals and chemicals also poses serious

:05:20. > :05:22.

:05:22. > :05:31.risks. Children and is younger people can work on a farm but we

:05:31. > :05:41.have to be that bit more vigilant. The rest for injury still exists for

:05:41. > :05:42.

:05:42. > :05:47.people even those who have lived their whole lives on farms. Even the

:05:48. > :05:52.farmer himself has to be careful. For young and old, there are dangers

:05:52. > :05:59.on farms and this most recent death has remained a people just how

:05:59. > :06:09.quickly tragedy can strike. The Health and Safety Executive have run

:06:09. > :06:16.

:06:16. > :06:19.a campaign about the dangers. Today, after another farming

:06:19. > :06:27.vitality that has brought very much into focus just how tragic it can

:06:27. > :06:37.The father of two young brothers found dead in the boot of his car

:06:37. > :06:38.

:06:38. > :06:42.has been arrested on suspicion of their murders. 43 rolled man was

:06:42. > :06:47.detained following his discharge from hospital earlier. He was being

:06:47. > :06:54.treated for injuries received when his car hit a wall. The bodies of

:06:54. > :06:57.his sons were found after the crash on Monday afternoon.

:06:57. > :07:01.The Department of Health has confirmed that the delay to the

:07:01. > :07:07.opening of the new hospital block at the Royal caused by corrosion in a

:07:08. > :07:14.new pipework will be longer than first thought. It won't begin

:07:15. > :07:18.admitting patients until 2014, one year later than originally planned.

:07:18. > :07:22.The new critical care centre is one of the largest public sector

:07:22. > :07:28.building projects ever carried out here. Billed as a new centrepiece

:07:28. > :07:34.for the Royal and at a cost of 150 million, it was supposed to have

:07:35. > :07:44.opened its doors to patients by now. But there is a snag. Corrosion has

:07:44. > :07:49.been detected in the new seating system, delaying the opening. The

:07:49. > :07:54.pipes will now have to be repaired. We had hoped to show you the extent

:07:54. > :07:58.of the work going on but the main contract wouldn't let us in and

:07:58. > :08:05.declines to make any comment. The main emergency department for

:08:05. > :08:09.the city of Belfast and intensive care for patients across Northern

:08:09. > :08:15.Ireland will fill the first six floors. The top floor will

:08:15. > :08:20.eventually house maternity services. The extent of the repairs needed

:08:20. > :08:25.means that building will not now be handed over until 2014, one year

:08:25. > :08:30.later than expected. That means the emergency department of the Royal

:08:30. > :08:40.will have to remain in its temporary accommodation for at least an extra

:08:40. > :08:44.

:08:45. > :08:50.12 months. There will be many knock-on effects. The ANA department

:08:50. > :09:00.is in a Portakabin, the building is not fit for purpose. -- the accident

:09:00. > :09:03.

:09:03. > :09:10.and emergency department. One-year delay is impacting on patients and

:09:10. > :09:14.staff. But I have another concern, who is going to pay for this? When I

:09:15. > :09:21.asked the minister they told me that they would not be held accountable

:09:21. > :09:27.for the cost but who will be? The health minister was unable for

:09:27. > :09:32.comment. The Department of Health says it will phase no additional

:09:32. > :09:36.costs and the responsibility lies with the main contractor.

:09:36. > :09:44.Still to come before 7pm, the new Lord Mayor delivers his vision for

:09:44. > :09:49.Belfast at what to people on the street think?

:09:49. > :09:52.A photograph taken of the singer Breanna when she filmed a video in a

:09:53. > :10:02.vast is at the centre of a multimillion pound court case in

:10:03. > :10:07.

:10:07. > :10:17.London -- the singer Rihanna. In 2011, Rihanna was shooting her we

:10:17. > :10:17.

:10:17. > :10:23.found a love video in Northern Ireland -- We Found Love. One of

:10:23. > :10:30.those images ended up on a T-shirt in Topshop. They sold 12,000 copies

:10:30. > :10:35.of it. Rihanna wasn't impressed and complains to her legal

:10:35. > :10:41.representatives. She said people might have been led to believe this

:10:41. > :10:44.was a product she endorsed. She wanted the court to stop Topshop

:10:44. > :10:50.selling the court and to re-compound served for the ones sold in the

:10:50. > :10:54.past. The High Court actually agreed with her. What they didn't say was

:10:54. > :10:58.that you can't put people to graph of the celebrity only garment and

:10:58. > :11:04.themselves. They said that can sometimes be fine but in this

:11:04. > :11:09.particular case, because Topshop has such a strong relationship with many

:11:09. > :11:15.stars and Rihanna has her own merchandising line and the

:11:15. > :11:23.photograph was a recognisable one from one of her videos, many fans

:11:23. > :11:28.would have thought that this was part of her official merchandising.

:11:28. > :11:33.Is this because celebrities now covet their images so carefully?

:11:33. > :11:40.It is one of those things, yes. They can often make more money from

:11:40. > :11:46.associated merchandise than they can do from music sales or concert is.

:11:46. > :11:52.So the very jealously guard that image. This T-shirt didn't have her

:11:52. > :11:56.name or her famous symbol but still the court said some people would be

:11:56. > :12:03.fooled into thinking this was official merchandise. The Lord Mayor

:12:03. > :12:05.has outlined his vision for the city of Belfast, winning people together

:12:05. > :12:15.and focusing on the culture and arts.

:12:15. > :12:16.

:12:17. > :12:21.He started today by appointing health vast's first poet laureate.

:12:21. > :12:26.It was all smiles at the City Hall. Also aids were represented and the

:12:26. > :12:33.new Lord Mayor represented his vision for all in the city. That was

:12:33. > :12:37.it all too good to be true. More jobs, more focus on the arts. Even

:12:37. > :12:44.the appointment of the first poet laureate. Can it really change the

:12:44. > :12:48.city? I have no idea what I am going to write yet. But through this new

:12:48. > :12:53.engagement with the city I am sure that lots of homes will come and if

:12:53. > :13:01.I have half a dozen homes about this city at the end of the year I will

:13:01. > :13:07.be very happy. In a message to everyone in the city, the new Lord

:13:07. > :13:11.Mayor promises to be positive and reach out across the debate. There

:13:11. > :13:19.aren't many supporters of Sinn Fein in this part of east Belfast but are

:13:19. > :13:29.they at least prepared to get the new Lord Mayor a chance? He is Sinn

:13:29. > :13:32.

:13:32. > :13:39.Fein. People in east Belfast as gettable -- are sceptical of

:13:39. > :13:44.politicians as a whole. If he delivers then people will listen.

:13:44. > :13:50.the ground, what do people think of the message and the messenger?

:13:50. > :13:54.give him a chance. Politics is politics but if it brings jobs to

:13:55. > :14:02.Northern Ireland and brings the communities together, why not? It is

:14:02. > :14:06.for our accounts future. After what has happened in the City Hall in the

:14:06. > :14:10.last six months, I think it will take a lot more than talk to get

:14:10. > :14:20.things sorted and used Belfast. There are a lot of very disgruntled

:14:20. > :14:20.

:14:20. > :14:26.people about. Do you think people in the Belfast will listen to the Lord

:14:26. > :14:33.Mayor? If he has something sensible to say, I'm all for it. I would

:14:33. > :14:38.listen to anyone who gets us back to where we were. What is the

:14:38. > :14:44.difference if he is Sinn Fein, as long as he has brains to solve the

:14:44. > :14:47.problems. People here at my imagination but

:14:47. > :14:57.politicians are judged by what they do and is not what they see and

:14:57. > :15:00.

:15:00. > :15:10.judging the political gap is the gold. That is a lot of positivity in

:15:10. > :15:10.

:15:10. > :15:18.this decision. How will you evaluate the success? I see Belfast as a

:15:18. > :15:27.place of great potential. I believe the best days of Belfast are in

:15:27. > :15:32.front of it. My term is 43 weeks and five days. We went to bring people

:15:32. > :15:39.together and create jobs. I want to drive my damnedest to do that.

:15:39. > :15:45.Businesses in Belfast have had a terrible year. It has been pretty

:15:46. > :15:52.damaging for them. How can poetry change that? It is a glass half

:15:52. > :16:01.full. Never ignore the arts and culture. Belfast is on the cusp of

:16:01. > :16:09.many things. 6000 students come into the University of Belfast every day.

:16:09. > :16:19.That could transform the city. We have an investment programme. In

:16:19. > :16:21.

:16:21. > :16:27.terms of real action, taking the first delegation to Silicon Valley

:16:27. > :16:36.ever and going to New York, training and tackling poverty. These are the

:16:36. > :16:43.actions people want. What about rates? We have more to shops in

:16:43. > :16:48.Belfast than anywhere else in the UK. The council is working hard.

:16:48. > :16:54.Stormont is working hard as well. We can unite with the business

:16:54. > :17:03.community. When I meet the Belfast chamber of commerce they say build

:17:03. > :17:08.the economy and push it forward. I think we are trying to do the things

:17:08. > :17:14.that will build confidence and deliver the customers. Is your focus

:17:14. > :17:20.tourism? Do you have targets customer is a jobs or bringing more

:17:20. > :17:28.people in? It is all those things. We want them to spend half 1

:17:28. > :17:38.billion next year. It is also jobs. Every Friday, I went to visit

:17:38. > :17:49.

:17:49. > :17:52.businesses. Who will join with us? Thank you very much.

:17:52. > :18:02.Ulster preparations for the new rugby season took them to Donegal

:18:02. > :18:04.

:18:04. > :18:09.today. The Ulster squad are at their preparation camp in the West. They

:18:09. > :18:15.were on the shores of Donegal Bay. It is surely one of the more

:18:15. > :18:25.picturesque venues the club will train at this season. Today, members

:18:25. > :18:27.

:18:27. > :18:33.of local clubs got to watch their heroes. We know well the support we

:18:33. > :18:37.have here is regular. They have come a long way to supporters. It is nice

:18:37. > :18:44.to give something back and to show that we appreciate all the support

:18:44. > :18:50.we have all year. Supporters are used to making the long trek to

:18:50. > :18:59.Belfast to see the players play. has been excellent. I tried to get

:18:59. > :19:05.some signatures. Whenever they stop training I try to get an autograph.

:19:05. > :19:10.They really love their rugby. They love the rugby during the winter. It

:19:10. > :19:17.is amazing but it is great for the children. The players got more than

:19:17. > :19:25.they bargained for on this trip. lot of them do not get to see as as

:19:25. > :19:31.much as they like. It was good for them to come out and see us. We got

:19:31. > :19:41.to see you and some that in some unusual clothing on social media.

:19:41. > :19:44.

:19:44. > :19:53.What was that about M? It was all a bit of fun. Visiting Donegal makes

:19:53. > :20:02.good sense for those in charge. people from all around came up to

:20:02. > :20:05.Ravenhill on a Friday or Saturday to support the team. Fans in County

:20:05. > :20:08.Tyrone will have an opportunity to see the players at close tomorrow

:20:08. > :20:11.when the squad visits. The Milk Cup tournament attracts

:20:11. > :20:14.some of the biggest football clubs in the world to Northern Ireland

:20:14. > :20:21.each summer. Among them this year are Corinthians from Brazil. Nial

:20:21. > :20:26.Foster has been finding out about their recipe for success. Whether it

:20:26. > :20:30.be the World Cup or the milk cup, the Brazilians are brilliant and

:20:30. > :20:36.over the years, the experts have often wondered why they are so good.

:20:37. > :20:46.The answer could just be black beans. In Brazil, it is a common

:20:47. > :20:49.

:20:49. > :20:59.dish. We usually eat for lunch and dinner rice with beans. It is cheap

:20:59. > :21:00.

:21:00. > :21:02.and very complete food. To us, it is necessary. Corinthians have

:21:03. > :21:10.specifically asked for black beans to be served at lunch and dinner

:21:10. > :21:16.every day. We sort of get an idea from the dietician what they will

:21:16. > :21:20.eat. They tell us what they like and what they will eat. We work

:21:20. > :21:27.together. The Brazilian government recommends that everybody eats black

:21:27. > :21:37.beans every day because they are full of fibre and protein. Could

:21:37. > :21:47.they be the secret to the success of the Corinthians? No. Black beans

:21:47. > :21:53.

:21:53. > :22:00.helps us feel like home. But the most important thing is how we play.

:22:00. > :22:04.I hope that the black beans make the difference. With the team undefeated

:22:04. > :22:06.so far, the beans seem to be doing the business.

:22:06. > :22:10.Today's World Twenty20 Women's Cricket qualifier between Ireland

:22:10. > :22:14.and the Netherlands was a wash-out in Dublin. They will try again

:22:14. > :22:22.tomorrow at 2pm. But if it is rained off again, Ireland will qualify due

:22:22. > :22:25.to a greater number of group match wins.

:22:25. > :22:30.One of Northern Ireland's largest ever sporting events will officially

:22:30. > :22:34.open tomorrow. 64 countries are taking part in the World Fire and

:22:35. > :22:39.Police Games over ten days. They'll be competing in a diverse range of

:22:39. > :22:42.sports which includes cycling, Biathlon, dodge ball and darts.

:22:42. > :22:46.We'll be covering the ceremony live on tomorrow evening's programme and

:22:46. > :22:49.bringing you coverage of events throughout the Games. We'll profile

:22:49. > :22:54.a number of athletes who've travelled the world to come to

:22:54. > :23:04.Northern Ireland to compete. Our reporter Helen Jones met up with two

:23:04. > :23:14.

:23:14. > :23:17.in town. Playing it cool. After 23 years working for the FBI, they have

:23:17. > :23:27.seen it all before. Too tough guys who just happen to be married to

:23:27. > :23:31.

:23:31. > :23:39.each other. I am a bench press. They took out the squat and I am doing a

:23:39. > :23:49.bench and a dead lift. The FBI is an arduous job. You must be very

:23:49. > :23:49.

:23:49. > :23:54.strong. Does it come in useful? it does. I have been chasing a bank

:23:54. > :24:04.robber at one time. He tried to run, we jumped on top of him and he is

:24:04. > :24:05.

:24:05. > :24:13.yelling stop, you have got me! tough cookie, just like her husband.

:24:13. > :24:23.I have been involved in a number of bombings. So you have come to

:24:23. > :24:33.Belfast for a break? Yes, pretty much. Gathering photographic

:24:33. > :24:33.

:24:33. > :24:40.evidence. The first port of call is Titanic Belfast. Awesome.Next on

:24:40. > :24:50.the list is the gym. On Sunday I will be doing the triathlon. Then I

:24:50. > :24:54.

:24:55. > :25:03.will be doing the ocean swim. haven't seen much of the crack yet?

:25:03. > :25:10.No, have I? Justice will be done when the medals will be one. Click

:25:10. > :25:14.-- Case closed. I would not like to be competing against the FBI.

:25:14. > :25:24.What will the weather be like for the big opening. Barra is here with

:25:24. > :25:31.

:25:31. > :25:35.tonight. That is a lot of rain out there. Temperatures of 13 or 14

:25:35. > :25:38.Celsius. The break in the rain will be short lived. We already have

:25:38. > :25:45.another band are playing pushing up from the south. That would give us a

:25:45. > :25:49.wet start tomorrow. We could see some surface display problems on the

:25:49. > :25:52.road first thing. It would be a wet start and throughout the day the

:25:52. > :26:01.winds will pick up as well. The heaviest of the game will be in the

:26:01. > :26:07.east and south-east. It does look as if the heaviest rain will be

:26:07. > :26:12.confined to the North Coast in the afternoon. We should seek some dry

:26:12. > :26:17.weather developing later but up that very little chance of seeing any

:26:17. > :26:24.sunshine. Despite the cloud and rain, it will be a warm day of

:26:24. > :26:28.around 21 Celsius. The rain becoming more patchy later on. If you are

:26:28. > :26:33.heading over to the opening ceremony, it is a bit of a guessing

:26:33. > :26:37.game at the moment. We are hoping to stay dry but that is still a chance

:26:37. > :26:45.of showers. Prepare yourself just in case and bring the waterproofs with

:26:45. > :26:52.you. Tomorrow evening, it will turn dry your. A muggy night to come. For

:26:52. > :26:59.some, it may fall to 15 Celsius. But that set us up nicely for a good

:26:59. > :27:03.start on Friday. By the afternoon, with the heater drowned, we can

:27:03. > :27:07.expect the showers to develop. Some of those could be blessed tree. In

:27:07. > :27:17.the sunshine, if you manage to avoid the showers, it will not feel too

:27:17. > :27:17.

:27:17. > :27:25.bad at all. Sunshine and showers on Friday and that looks likely to stay
