:00:00. > :00:13.so it's goodbye from me, and on BBC goodbye from me. And on BBC

:00:14. > :00:22.Good evening and welcome to BBC Newsline.

:00:23. > :00:28.The headlines... The First Minister condemns last night's balun

:00:29. > :00:31.protesting East Belfast. Four police officers or injured.

:00:32. > :00:36.Around 50 former my band start could be in line for new jobs as the

:00:37. > :00:39.companies assets are sold to a new return.

:00:40. > :00:45.26 vehicles are attacked with acid at a car dealership in County Down.

:00:46. > :00:50.Is Primary seven pupils are weighed and regulated transfer test results

:00:51. > :00:54.there is frustration for teachers of guidance from the Department of

:00:55. > :00:59.Education. It is OK to say don't carry on with a state-sponsored

:01:00. > :01:03.transfer tests the reality is that there are now too and that is not

:01:04. > :01:10.satisfactory. The flying winning -- winger is back

:01:11. > :01:14.in the Ireland squad. We will hear from Andrew Trimble.

:01:15. > :01:21.Coming up in the forecast, there is the prospect of snow.

:01:22. > :01:25.The First Minister Peter Robinson has condemned a violent protest in

:01:26. > :01:27.east Belfast last night when four police officers were injured.

:01:28. > :01:30.Trouble erupted outside the Skainos community centre where Patrick

:01:31. > :01:44.Magee, a former IRA bomber, was speaking. Mark Simpson reports. It

:01:45. > :01:50.was billed as a night of reconciliation. But it turned into a

:01:51. > :01:53.confrontation. Loyalist protesters objected to the presence of this

:01:54. > :02:03.man, former IRA bomber Patrick Magee. He was invited to in to speak

:02:04. > :02:07.at this centre in Belfast. A crowd of 50 people gathered outside and

:02:08. > :02:10.some of them wanted to get inside. One of those at the meeting was

:02:11. > :02:14.Loyalist General Synod of the Church of England. On his way out he was

:02:15. > :02:20.attacked. So who does he think organised the demonstration?

:02:21. > :02:25.Probably the flag protesters and those on social media who contact

:02:26. > :02:30.each other and decide to do what they want to do which I do not have

:02:31. > :02:34.a problem with but they have to be respectful to everyone. One of those

:02:35. > :02:40.involved was the Reverend Leslie Carol. As she any regrets? Certainly

:02:41. > :02:44.we would not want to put the police in that position again. People were

:02:45. > :02:48.injured. That was not our intention. There were all sorts of safety

:02:49. > :02:52.issues we must take into consideration. That must be balanced

:02:53. > :02:55.alongside the statement that we wanted to make which was the

:02:56. > :02:59.statement that you can move freely around is winnable city which

:03:00. > :03:04.belongs to all of us. What happens here last night is different to what

:03:05. > :03:06.happened 14 months ago. Sinn Fein's Mike McGuinness arrived for the

:03:07. > :03:15.official opening of this new complex. Here is what happened. It

:03:16. > :03:19.was smiles all round and not a protester inside. What has changed?

:03:20. > :03:25.The problem is that it is a fluid situation. We are now in a different

:03:26. > :03:30.place. It is the effect of the flag protests, the continuing decline in

:03:31. > :03:35.the relationship with the police and the notion of law and order. I think

:03:36. > :03:40.it shows a lack of leadership. We have seen over recent times and

:03:41. > :03:44.inability within the and loyalism for people to be accepting that this

:03:45. > :03:49.is a place which is diverse. Four police officers were injured

:03:50. > :03:50.during the disturbances and to vehicles were damaged. Police said

:03:51. > :03:59.there were no arrests. There has been sporadic

:04:00. > :04:06.stonethrowing at an interface in West Belfast. I no damage was caused

:04:07. > :04:11.to homes in Kirk Street. A car was hit by a stone and an empty house

:04:12. > :04:19.was smashed. Community workers claim nationalist youths are behind it.

:04:20. > :04:22.Around 50 Mivan staff are likely to get new jobs with the sale of the

:04:23. > :04:26.company's assets to the Newry-based MJM Group. Mivan effectively went

:04:27. > :04:30.out of business at the start of this week with the loss of 250 jobs. But

:04:31. > :04:32.MJM says it will now revive the Mivan brand and create new

:04:33. > :04:40.employment. Our Economics and Business Editor John Campbell

:04:41. > :04:43.reports. With Mivan in administration it looked like one of

:04:44. > :04:47.the best-known names in local construction would be gone for

:04:48. > :04:52.good. And with that, all the jobs. Now its new reads -based rival, the

:04:53. > :04:59.MJM Group has snapped up the brand name and other assets including the

:05:00. > :05:02.factory in Antrim. MGM will run Mivan is a stand-alone business. It

:05:03. > :05:07.says it will initially need to take on around 50 people. Former staff at

:05:08. > :05:12.my bank can expect to be at the front of the queue for those jobs.

:05:13. > :05:16.This workshop is idle now but in the coming days and weeks recruitment

:05:17. > :05:21.will begin, the machines will start again and business be trading. --

:05:22. > :05:26.Mivan. This is MGM's existing factory in

:05:27. > :05:30.Newry and the company has come a long way since it started its

:05:31. > :05:35.operations from a shed. It specialises in fitting at Cruise

:05:36. > :05:40.ships and super yachts. Turned over ?20 million a year and directly

:05:41. > :05:45.employs around 150 people. I asked the owner how many jobs he hopes to

:05:46. > :05:53.create. I was asked this question about ten years ago. I say if we get

:05:54. > :05:58.to 30 or 40, and last year we picked our employment at 715 employees.

:05:59. > :06:03.Those are direct employees, albeit some of them our temporary workers

:06:04. > :06:07.on temporary contracts. I have the same hopes for this company. I do

:06:08. > :06:14.believe in the next few years that we will bring this company back up

:06:15. > :06:18.the numbers. The new owner is optimistic that the local MP was

:06:19. > :06:23.also thinking of those who will not immediately get a new job. The news

:06:24. > :06:27.coming from Mivan today is certainly something that would be encouraging.

:06:28. > :06:33.But remember, we are not there yet. There are still people who are

:06:34. > :06:37.employed and will not be employed soon. I hope this company is able to

:06:38. > :06:42.take as many people as possible and the rest of the employees are in to

:06:43. > :06:46.implement as well. Over the past five years, many well-known

:06:47. > :06:50.construction businesses have disappeared completely. The fact

:06:51. > :06:56.that anything has been saved from this collapse will be seen as

:06:57. > :07:02.positive. Almost 30 cars have in damaged by

:07:03. > :07:06.vandals who targeted are buying a car dealership in a late-night

:07:07. > :07:10.attack. Paint thinner or acid was poured over the vehicles causing

:07:11. > :07:17.tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage. Savage reports. In the dead

:07:18. > :07:21.of night, three hooded youths ran round cars, spring or pouring acid

:07:22. > :07:28.or paint thinner over them. They randomly targeted cars in less than

:07:29. > :07:32.one minute. In total, 28 vehicles will now have to be re-sprayed. The

:07:33. > :07:38.paintwork has completely lifted off on some of the cars. Another as it

:07:39. > :07:41.has faded on closer inspection. It was not until it started to get like

:07:42. > :07:46.this morning that workers realised how many cars had been damaged. The

:07:47. > :07:50.attack happened just after midnight and took the band is just 40 seconds

:07:51. > :07:56.to cause more than ?50,000 worth of damage. The owner says he does not

:07:57. > :08:00.know why he has been targeted. I have been on bankers selling cars

:08:01. > :08:06.for the last 26 years and I never had any problems whatsoever. It says

:08:07. > :08:11.it all. I do not know what is going on. Everybody is getting a tough at

:08:12. > :08:17.the moment. I cannot sell any of these cars. The businesses on its

:08:18. > :08:22.knees at this moment in time until we see of the insurance is going to

:08:23. > :08:24.us. Police are appealing for anyone who may have noticed anything

:08:25. > :08:33.suspicious in and around the car dealership to contact them.

:08:34. > :08:37.The All Strategic Issue New has described sectarian threats made

:08:38. > :08:42.against a north Belfast it as an attack on democracy. The General

:08:43. > :08:47.Secretary of the union says a member of staff at the Boys Model School

:08:48. > :08:52.was targeted in online abuse when it was discovered she was a Sinn Fein

:08:53. > :08:58.councillor. The party has confirmed that it was made against one of

:08:59. > :09:02.their councillors. The P7 pupils, about 7000 of them,

:09:03. > :09:05.who sat unregulated transfer tests get their results tomorrow. At the

:09:06. > :09:09.same time parents of P6 children are to be sent a new leaflet on the

:09:10. > :09:12.transfer from primary to secondary education. In that leaflet parents

:09:13. > :09:14.are advised to report any school that's preparing children for the

:09:15. > :09:17.tests. Repeated attempts by successive Sinn Fein Education

:09:18. > :09:20.Ministers to advise parents and schools not to use those tests but

:09:21. > :09:23.they're still the main method for children to transfer to Grammar

:09:24. > :09:35.schools. BBC Newsline's Tara Mills reports. When the then education

:09:36. > :09:42.minister made the announcement that the 11 plus was going he said there

:09:43. > :09:45.would not be chaos. Almost all who responded to the consultation

:09:46. > :09:50.supported the abolition of the transfer tests. 12 years on and

:09:51. > :09:53.backing has been filled by unregulated tests, tests that

:09:54. > :09:56.primary school are not supposed to help children prepare for. What a

:09:57. > :09:59.primary school supposed to do? No not those we spoke to was prepared

:10:00. > :10:05.to admit they help the children prepare for the unregulated tests.

:10:06. > :10:09.But a considerable number said they are under pressure from parents who

:10:10. > :10:12.want their children to sit tests and 132 is to help them. But now there

:10:13. > :10:17.is another development. The Department is supplying schools with

:10:18. > :10:22.this leaflet to be sent to primary six parents. Section six talks about

:10:23. > :10:26.coaching for the tests. It reminds parents that the tests are not

:10:27. > :10:30.regulated and since the 11 plus was scrapped their is a new curriculum

:10:31. > :10:34.in place. It even suggests parents take a stand. It says any parent

:10:35. > :10:37.with a concern that the revised curriculum is not being delivered

:10:38. > :10:42.properly should lodge a complaint with the principle in the first

:10:43. > :10:46.instance. It adds, the Board of Governors fails to respond

:10:47. > :10:49.appropriately the parents can make a formal complaint by contacting their

:10:50. > :10:54.local education and library board. This primary principle says things

:10:55. > :10:58.have become farcical. We need clear regulations which says what we can

:10:59. > :11:03.and cannot do. That must be in Laurel, if you like. We do not have

:11:04. > :11:11.that. We are left in a fluid situation. It is up to us to take a

:11:12. > :11:14.chance on how we proceed. Some schools proceed with preparation and

:11:15. > :11:19.some do not. But that is not good enough. It must be the same for

:11:20. > :11:24.everyone and it is not. Parents we spoke to feel a current system is

:11:25. > :11:29.loaded with pressure. I think by changing it they have made it more

:11:30. > :11:33.complicated. It is more stressful for the children. It is too much

:11:34. > :11:38.pressure on them. I see a lot of children and parents adding

:11:39. > :11:41.themselves worked up about it. I see the children getting stressed.

:11:42. > :11:47.In a recent report, the current system was blamed for putting your

:11:48. > :11:49.children at a disadvantage and creating an unknown regulated

:11:50. > :11:54.tutoring industry. A retired principal says the whole culture

:11:55. > :11:57.around Post primary education has become negative. It is the all thing

:11:58. > :12:02.you look at a grammar school, that is good, you look at the high

:12:03. > :12:05.school, that is bad. Many high schools in Northern Ireland create a

:12:06. > :12:10.quality education and children find the right place in society, whether

:12:11. > :12:17.that is university or enable Cajun or a job. There appears to be no let

:12:18. > :12:20.go world to make changes though it looks as though we may be talking

:12:21. > :12:28.about unregulated tests in another 12 years.

:12:29. > :12:35.Our Education Correspondent Maggie Taggart is here. The tests had been

:12:36. > :12:40.going on for a long time. No one is happy with the system apart from

:12:41. > :12:43.those who sell the tests. Parents cannot understand why their children

:12:44. > :12:46.must do up to five tests if they want the choice of all the 60 odd

:12:47. > :12:50.grammar schools in Northern Ireland. They would like to go back to the

:12:51. > :12:55.old system which had only two tests which left those children eligible

:12:56. > :12:59.to go anywhere they wanted. Schools are unhappy, they say it is a mess.

:13:00. > :13:03.Negotiations which have happened in the past to try and agree on the

:13:04. > :13:07.situation has come to nothing. Boy that thousands of children who do

:13:08. > :13:11.the test how many will end up in grammar school? There is no fading

:13:12. > :13:14.of enthusiasm for grammar schools and while the number of children

:13:15. > :13:20.available in that age group is going down, the number going to grammar

:13:21. > :13:25.schools is going up. 43.5% of children going to grammar schools if

:13:26. > :13:29.you years ago. That is a rise of over 1%. Secondary schools are

:13:30. > :13:33.unhappy that grammar schools are filling up to their full capacity

:13:34. > :13:42.and lead them looking for students or they are not happy. The report

:13:43. > :13:44.talked about coaching. We asked the Department of Education about the

:13:45. > :13:48.curriculum complaints tribunal to find out how many people had

:13:49. > :13:54.complained and they could not tell us.

:13:55. > :13:57.A court has ruled that a husband and wife accused in connection with a

:13:58. > :13:59.sexual slavery case can be identified. 57-year-old Keith Baker

:14:00. > :14:02.and Caroline Bernadette Baker who is 51 are from Drumellen Mews in

:14:03. > :14:06.Craigavon. The husband faces 15 charges against two women, one of

:14:07. > :14:11.whom suffers from a severe learning disability. His wife is charged with

:14:12. > :14:24.falsely imprisoning the same vulnerable woman between 2004 and

:14:25. > :14:28.2012. The foreign nationals continuing to

:14:29. > :14:32.be targeted in hate crimes and more refugees seeking asylum there has

:14:33. > :14:36.been a call for racial equality strategy to be drawn up I the

:14:37. > :14:40.Executive. Already this year there have been around 12 attacks on homes

:14:41. > :14:44.and property of migrant workers. The main charity dealing with honourable

:14:45. > :14:51.people says politicians need to start focusing on the needs of those

:14:52. > :14:55.seeking refuge here. -- disadvantaged people. The number of

:14:56. > :15:00.refugee families like this one seeking asylum in the UK is

:15:01. > :15:03.increasing. This is placing an added burden on charities trying to help

:15:04. > :15:08.disadvantaged people across Northern Ireland. This charity in Belfast

:15:09. > :15:13.describes itself as the first point of contact in many instances for

:15:14. > :15:18.people who arrive here after fleeing conflict in their own countries.

:15:19. > :15:28.People from Sudan, Somalia, from Iraq and Afghanistan, from Syria,

:15:29. > :15:33.usually war-torn countries. We see people who have come here, who have

:15:34. > :15:39.left homes, their families, their culture and everything they know,

:15:40. > :15:43.because their lives the life of their children is under threat.

:15:44. > :15:48.Issues around refugees and migrant workers continue to make headlines.

:15:49. > :15:51.Just this week a number of cars belonging to foreign nationals were

:15:52. > :15:54.attacked and damaged in north Belfast. The Lord Mayor leaders

:15:55. > :16:03.spoke to all of the victims to reassure them that not everyone was

:16:04. > :16:08.against them. They are frightened. She understood that I rang her and

:16:09. > :16:14.she has been contacted by other public representatives, that the

:16:15. > :16:18.good people of Belfast by the Basque majority of people and they will

:16:19. > :16:23.make sure that these attacks do not go unpunished and we will stand them

:16:24. > :16:29.out. As a society and as a government, as an Executive, we need

:16:30. > :16:34.to have a very clear racial equality strategy. We must determine what it

:16:35. > :16:38.is we would expect refugees and asylum seekers to find in Northern

:16:39. > :16:43.Ireland when they come here. That should be resourced.

:16:44. > :16:46.With the UK government agreeing to take on hundreds of the most needy

:16:47. > :16:50.refugees from the Syrian conflict issues around asylum seekers look

:16:51. > :16:59.set to multiply in the years ahead. It is the start of the rugby six

:17:00. > :17:04.Nations championship this weekend. Ireland kick off their campaign

:17:05. > :17:07.against Scotland. Stephen Watson can tell us more.

:17:08. > :17:11.There are four Ulster players in the team with two more on the bench.

:17:12. > :17:15.Andrew Trimble, Rory Best, Chris Henry and Luke Marshall or in the

:17:16. > :17:18.starting line-up. For Andrew Trimble it is a return from the

:17:19. > :17:23.international wilderness. He was so sure he was not going to be on the

:17:24. > :17:27.side he had agreed to commentate on the game for BBC Radio Ulster. As

:17:28. > :17:33.you would imagine, he is thrilled to be back. Gavin Andrews tells us.

:17:34. > :17:37.Even in the tough times, Andrew Trimble has kept smiling. The Ulster

:17:38. > :17:42.winger has had his ups and downs on the way to 50 caps. The 51st has

:17:43. > :17:46.been harder on. You think when you miss out one or two selections and

:17:47. > :17:51.it goes on at seems to snowball a little bit. You go out of form and

:17:52. > :17:54.then you have to try and get that consistency back, keep working on

:17:55. > :18:01.your basics and try and hang in there. It is up to me to take my

:18:02. > :18:05.opportunity. Every six Nations brings a clean slate for the players

:18:06. > :18:10.and the season for a coach still finding his speed at international

:18:11. > :18:14.level. We have had three matches. You get three preseason games before

:18:15. > :18:18.you start a competition and that does not start well you can pick it

:18:19. > :18:23.up. You must start well. Personally I feel a little bit of a weight of

:18:24. > :18:27.expectation and excitement around about what people believe the team

:18:28. > :18:32.is capable of. I am desperately keen that the team meet those

:18:33. > :18:35.expectations. They have the same expectations from themselves. There

:18:36. > :18:41.is a buzz in the Irish camp under Joe Schmidt. History suggests

:18:42. > :18:48.Scotland will struggle this weekend. They have only beaten is Ireland in

:18:49. > :18:56.the last three games. You think that would bother their coach. But think

:18:57. > :19:02.again. I use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post . For

:19:03. > :19:07.illumination. From our perspective, it is important that we go out there

:19:08. > :19:12.and put in a great performance. It would be a vibrant game. I think the

:19:13. > :19:17.longer we are in this match, the pressure favours us and we will

:19:18. > :19:21.ensure that we did that. They did 12 months ago at Murrayfield on a

:19:22. > :19:28.dismal day for Ireland. But you get the feeling that these players have

:19:29. > :19:32.learned their lesson. Ireland's women kick up the six

:19:33. > :19:36.Nations against Scotland in less than one hour.

:19:37. > :19:40.Rory McIlroy is the halfway leader at the Dubai Desert Classic. He

:19:41. > :19:43.could not quite find a scintillating form of yesterday but still recorded

:19:44. > :19:50.a two under par round for a 1-stroke advantage. He is looking from a

:19:51. > :19:54.stomach bug. He was a little wayward at times today but he still showed

:19:55. > :19:58.plenty of signs that he is back to his best with some excellent

:19:59. > :20:05.recovery shots. Rory McIlroy who was supported by his Beyonce won the

:20:06. > :20:08.stern and back in 2009. It was his first victory as a professional and

:20:09. > :20:16.he is keen to repeat the success. Even though he was a little downbeat

:20:17. > :20:22.after his round. It was not quite as good as yesterday. I hope bad as my

:20:23. > :20:26.background out of the way and I can shoot some better ones over the

:20:27. > :20:29.weekend. I wanted to birdie the last one but I saw that my drive was not

:20:30. > :20:39.flying well enough to go to the green. It was nice to be able to do

:20:40. > :20:47.that and I am looking forward to coming back out tomorrow. --

:20:48. > :20:57.supported by his Beyonce. -- is an unsafe.

:20:58. > :21:00.Ahead of the National Football League which begins tomorrow, the

:21:01. > :21:03.GAA has announced a new set of gambling guidelines aimed at both

:21:04. > :21:06.club and county players. The initiative, launched in Croke Park

:21:07. > :21:09.earlier this week, also tackles the potential for match fixing. Mark

:21:10. > :21:11.Sidebottom reports. The time Titian to gamble is omnipresent. -- the

:21:12. > :21:15.temptation to gamble. But now there is an attempt to tackle it head on

:21:16. > :21:19.by two high-profile players who have spoken of their own addictions.

:21:20. > :21:24.There is far more exposure to it now. It is much more accessible. As

:21:25. > :21:33.the result of that there are more problem gamblers. One statistic is

:21:34. > :21:43.gives us a startling advice. In the most recent survey of over 2000

:21:44. > :21:47.player survey, 7% thought was a problem within their own squad. 20

:21:48. > :21:51.3% thought it was a problem amongst players in general and amongst

:21:52. > :21:56.2012, gambling addiction accounted for one third of all cases dealt

:21:57. > :22:03.with by the GPA free counselling service. The biggest problem for me

:22:04. > :22:09.was admitting the problem. I would have hidden my gambling for a long

:22:10. > :22:15.time. I was a heavy gambler. But I did not come out and spoke about it.

:22:16. > :22:21.How bad did it get? Did you get depressed? Yes, definitely. The key

:22:22. > :22:26.thing is that gambling is an emotional problem. The new

:22:27. > :22:30.guidelines address the potential for match spot fixing and although the

:22:31. > :22:35.GAA emphasises it has no evidence of any such activity. It cautions that

:22:36. > :22:43.improper gambling conduct deemed to have discredited the association

:22:44. > :22:47.would be punishable by expulsion. The 2013 Ulster hurling final

:22:48. > :22:52.between down and Antrim Road be played this weekend. Celtic Park is

:22:53. > :22:56.the game -- venue on Sunday but before that it hosts the Saturday

:22:57. > :23:06.evening Allianz NFL opener between Derry and Tyrone.

:23:07. > :23:14.Football fans will be keeping a close eye on the weather. They

:23:15. > :23:17.should not be a problem of solitude with the all-weather surface.

:23:18. > :23:26.Cliftonville will host Linfield in a match that could make or break their

:23:27. > :23:30.season. Cliftonville are becoming used to the taste of success. But

:23:31. > :23:35.they are not content with retaining just one of the two trophies they

:23:36. > :23:40.lifted last season. Effectively are season comes down to 12 league

:23:41. > :23:44.matches. We have a trophy under our belt but we are not happy. Next up

:23:45. > :23:50.is Linfield. It comes into the must win category. We must try and

:23:51. > :23:58.prevent them from winning. We must put pressure on them. We must pick

:23:59. > :24:02.up as many points as we can. Gormley is in the middle. Joe Gormley. The

:24:03. > :24:08.last time we were there we did not do ourselves justice. At that stage

:24:09. > :24:16.people were saying Cliftonville must win. There was a lot of the rising.

:24:17. > :24:24.The bottom line is you need to want to win every game. We are going

:24:25. > :24:28.there wanting to win. If they win tomorrow Linfield will

:24:29. > :24:30.extend their lead at the top eight points and league title number 52

:24:31. > :24:39.will one step closer. In ice hockey, the Belfast Giants

:24:40. > :24:44.goal into the weekend with a 15 point lead in the elite league. They

:24:45. > :24:53.face the Sheffield Steelers at the Odyssey Arena.

:24:54. > :24:57.It has been a wet day for many people with heavy rain making it an

:24:58. > :25:02.awful day to be outside. Parts of County Down were badly affected with

:25:03. > :25:06.roads closed for a time in several areas. In Newcastle, sandbags were

:25:07. > :25:10.distributed to those most at risk of flooding as the water rose

:25:11. > :25:14.dangerously high. These houses were not flooded this time but with a

:25:15. > :25:25.tidal surge due tomorrow, residents will be watching the forecast

:25:26. > :25:31.anxiously. Cecilia Daley is with us. There is more heavy rain on the way.

:25:32. > :25:35.There is snow on the horizon. We start with a snowy morning to night.

:25:36. > :25:39.That will move on from the west later on this evening. The disparity

:25:40. > :25:43.quiet at the moment. Some scattered rain showers around. But later on,

:25:44. > :25:48.rain and snow will moving across most places. Most of the snow will

:25:49. > :25:52.be on the high ground but some snow may fall at lower levels and as it

:25:53. > :25:56.clears behind, with subzero temperatures, it will turn very icy

:25:57. > :26:00.and there will be further wintry showers tomorrow morning. If you are

:26:01. > :26:03.out and about either tonight or early tomorrow, you can expect

:26:04. > :26:08.around five centimetres of snow on the hills. In Belfast, there could

:26:09. > :26:12.be a dusting of snow and we are looking at gale force winds

:26:13. > :26:17.developing later on. It is because of this low pressure of which will

:26:18. > :26:26.bring in a lot of showers across the country. Once again, there could be

:26:27. > :26:33.tidal surges and waves. That could add to flooding. Let's look at the

:26:34. > :26:37.detail. Out and about, that could be a mixture of heavy rain and snow. It

:26:38. > :26:42.will be cold and icy but strong winds. Most of the snow will be over

:26:43. > :26:45.the hills but there will be bits and pieces of snow getting down to lower

:26:46. > :26:52.levels. As the morning progresses, most of that snow will rise into the

:26:53. > :26:56.highest hills. It is mostly just rain showers by the afternoon. Some

:26:57. > :27:01.of them will be heavy and it will feel cold in the strong winds. There

:27:02. > :27:04.will be a risk of flooding. It is not a complete wash-out. Sunday

:27:05. > :27:09.looks as if it will be a better day. There will be sunshine. But it will

:27:10. > :27:14.be breezy. We get some reasonable weather. Snow and ice are the

:27:15. > :27:18.hazards to night, gale winds -- go force winds developing to night and

:27:19. > :27:23.as we head back to work next week, the rain comes back.

:27:24. > :27:27.A video that has been done in other cities including Belfast which goes

:27:28. > :27:35.with the RL Williams hit happy.
