:00:22. > :00:26.alleged victims are a brother and sister. The accused are their

:00:27. > :00:30.father, uncle and a family friend. As David Maxwell reports, the jury

:00:31. > :00:36.was reminded of detailed and at times distressing evidence. This

:00:37. > :00:39.trial is now in its third week and today the Judy were told they will

:00:40. > :00:56.not be presented with any more evidence. The lawyers summed up the

:00:57. > :01:04.case reminding the Judy of details. The prosecution lawyer asked the

:01:05. > :01:10.Judy live with the alleged victims wait for years and then concoct

:01:11. > :01:15.wicked lies? Why would the submit themselves to open court and in one

:01:16. > :01:22.case an intimate examination if none of this was true. The court were

:01:23. > :01:28.called to the men admitted an offence against their own sister in

:01:29. > :01:33.the 70s and 80s. A defence barrister for the man described as a family

:01:34. > :01:38.friend then summed up our client is accused of offences connected to the

:01:39. > :01:44.alleged female victim. It was asked why she had made no mention of his

:01:45. > :01:49.client or the parties when first reporting this to the police. He

:01:50. > :01:55.said the logical explanation was that these people did not exist and

:01:56. > :01:59.the parties did not happen. There have been appeals for an end to

:02:00. > :02:03.internet drinking contests after the death of a teenager in the Republic.

:02:04. > :02:07.The new craze is called Neknominations. People consume a

:02:08. > :02:13.concoction of alcohol drinks and then nominate or dare someone to go

:02:14. > :02:16.one better. BBC Newsline's Tara Mills reports on a local web page

:02:17. > :02:26.that's decided to change what it posts. We are going to try the

:02:27. > :02:33.challenge. I will kick it off and go first. One of the local challenges.

:02:34. > :02:39.This concoction only contained the alias types of drinks but nail

:02:40. > :02:48.polish remover is just one of the things added to others. The father

:02:49. > :02:52.of this 19-year-old said he fell into the water while carrying out a

:02:53. > :02:57.stunt connected to one of these sites based in the Republic. I am

:02:58. > :03:04.appealing to every youngster to think of what they are doing, it has

:03:05. > :03:10.caused my son his life. The whole family is devastated and our lives

:03:11. > :03:15.will never be the same again. It has prompted those running a similar

:03:16. > :03:19.site north of the border to rethink. By the weekend it had 11,000

:03:20. > :03:24.followers, over the weekend those running the site debated whether or

:03:25. > :03:28.not to keep it going but this morning they decided to shut it

:03:29. > :03:42.down. The site now promotes safe drinking.

:03:43. > :03:48.The fact that people are often drinking alone and the potentially

:03:49. > :03:57.toxic mixture is they are consuming has been ringing alarm bells. We saw

:03:58. > :04:03.a full bottle of tequila being drank whiskey bottle of milk. We saw motor

:04:04. > :04:09.oil being added to a concoction. People need to be aware that these

:04:10. > :04:17.can be very toxic substances not for consumption by humans. This pup

:04:18. > :04:25.called as they have now removed this video from their Facebook age and

:04:26. > :04:30.will not be repeating this prank. They do not tolerate anything which

:04:31. > :04:33.is directly harmful. A 36-year-old man has been found not guilty of the

:04:34. > :04:36.manslaughter of a nightclub bouncer in Portrush. Colin McLeister died

:04:37. > :04:39.after falling down stairs at the Playhouse complex while escorting

:04:40. > :04:41.the accused from the premises. The prosecution had alleged Murdock

:04:42. > :04:46.Martin Doherty, from Hawthorn Crescent in Dunloy, had pushed the

:04:47. > :04:51.doorman. But he said he had accidentally stumbled into him. An

:04:52. > :04:54.investigation has concluded that an Ulster Unionist MLA's wife was

:04:55. > :05:00.accidentally hit by her husband and not by the police during a protest.

:05:01. > :05:05.Michael Copeland had accused a police officer of hitting his wife

:05:06. > :05:14.with a baton last August. Our Home Affairs Correspondent Vincent

:05:15. > :05:22.Kearney reports. 26 officers were hurt when loyalists attacked police

:05:23. > :05:26.in the city centre last August. They gathered to demonstrate against the

:05:27. > :05:32.republican parade which had been due to March. Please came under

:05:33. > :05:36.sustained attack. The Ulster Unionist MLE Michael Copeland later

:05:37. > :05:42.claimed his wife, daughter and himself had been attacked by a

:05:43. > :05:46.police officer. I was kicked underneath a police shield, pushed

:05:47. > :05:50.by a police shield, my daughter was struck by the edge of the police

:05:51. > :05:57.shield and my wife was struck as well. The politician made a

:05:58. > :06:04.complaint and video footage was asked for. The footage shows Michael

:06:05. > :06:09.Cope and standing with his back turned to the line of pleas officers

:06:10. > :06:12.comic he appears to be urging members of the crowd to start

:06:13. > :06:21.attacking police when a protest lunges forward. A police officer is

:06:22. > :06:28.seen to strike out with his bat on. The MLA docs and swings his elbow

:06:29. > :06:34.accidentally hitting his wife on the back of the head, neither appears to

:06:35. > :06:43.realise what happened. Michael Cope and was in the Assembly today but

:06:44. > :06:48.said he did not want to comment. The PSNI also declined to comment. One

:06:49. > :06:50.of two soldiers killed in a car crash in North Yorkshire at the

:06:51. > :06:54.weekend was from Northern Ireland. 23-year-old Mark McKeen died when

:06:55. > :06:57.their car hit a tree near Catterick Garrison. Both men served with The

:06:58. > :07:00.Royal Dragoon Guards. The combination of wind, high tides and

:07:01. > :07:03.driving rain caused problems on some coastal roads in County Down today.

:07:04. > :07:14.But properties were spared any serious flooding. Helen Jones

:07:15. > :07:18.reports. High tide in Newcastle and the surge gathers momentum, huge

:07:19. > :07:26.waves crash over the seafront claiming the promenade and closing

:07:27. > :07:35.it for a while this afternoon. Further up the coast and the most of

:07:36. > :07:41.the harbour gets a battering. This is the course will road, it seems

:07:42. > :07:51.like only four vehicles were able to pass. Others tried anyway. And an

:07:52. > :07:54.already flooded Ards Peninsula gets another soaking. Attempts to

:07:55. > :08:01.reinforce the sea wall are abandoned. Workers downed tools

:08:02. > :08:05.because conditions are just too dangerous. Not long after these

:08:06. > :08:10.pictures were taken this section of the coastal road was closed to

:08:11. > :08:16.traffic. Damage is being assessed but it could be sometime before the

:08:17. > :08:22.full cost of repair is known. And the weather forecast now. Good

:08:23. > :08:30.evening. We have more wet and windy weather to come. It will be quite

:08:31. > :08:41.chilly with the odd shower in the West. Tomorrow the car windscreens

:09:24. > :09:27.out for yet more stormy weather to develop through Tuesday night and

:09:28. > :09:34.into Wednesday. It is another area of low pressure in the South West of

:09:35. > :09:40.Ireland. Rain and gusts are expected. We are the is the high

:09:41. > :09:47.tide and all those things come together they will be a risk of
