:00:00. > :00:00.Much more throughout the evening on the BBC News channel. We are back

:00:00. > :00:14.with Good evening. A pipe bomb has

:00:15. > :00:17.exploded at a GAA club in County Antrim. It happened overnight at the

:00:18. > :00:20.St Marys-Clooney Gaels Club in Ahogill, on the eve of a big

:00:21. > :00:29.inter-county Gaelic football match at the ground. No players at the

:00:30. > :00:34.ground today, just the police and army looking for clues. The club

:00:35. > :00:39.were preparing to host an intercounty football match tomorrow

:00:40. > :00:44.between Antrim and Wicklow. Instead, disruption. And disruption,

:00:45. > :00:48.too, the local residents in this rural area outside the town. We

:00:49. > :00:54.can't get close enough to see what happened, but club officials tell us

:00:55. > :00:58.that the clubhouse wasn't damaged, but two windows at a nearby

:00:59. > :01:02.community hall were smashed. This morning a local councillor got into

:01:03. > :01:06.the grounds before the security operation began. I saw the pipe

:01:07. > :01:10.bomb, the pipeline in the ground. There were lots of wires lying

:01:11. > :01:15.around. It was a very serious incident. This was a real pipe bomb.

:01:16. > :01:20.Had it not gone off then, had it been discovered by an individual, a

:01:21. > :01:26.child at that club, there could have been serious injury or death. The

:01:27. > :01:30.Army bomb experts left the area this afternoon. Police say they've taken

:01:31. > :01:33.away a crude pipe bomb type device for further examination. Police have

:01:34. > :01:37.remained at the scene and club officials are now waiting for the

:01:38. > :01:44.go-ahead to finalise preparations for the big match tomorrow. A

:01:45. > :01:47.teacher who left the Boys Model School in north Belfast after she

:01:48. > :01:51.was the target of sectarian intimidation has addressed delegates

:01:52. > :01:53.at the Sinn Fein Ard Fheis in County Wexford. Catherine Seeley, who's a

:01:54. > :01:57.Sinn Fein councillor in Craigavon, said she wanted to thank the pupils

:01:58. > :02:03.at the school for their support. From Wexford, here's Our Political

:02:04. > :02:09.Editor Mark Devenport. I would like to ask you to warmly welcome

:02:10. > :02:14.Catherine Seeley onto the stage. A standing ovation for one of Sinn

:02:15. > :02:18.Fein's newest councillors. Catherine Seeley projected into the political

:02:19. > :02:22.spotlight by online intimidation, after loyalists found out she was

:02:23. > :02:28.teaching at a state school in north Belfast. Miss Seeley talked about

:02:29. > :02:31.the need to tackle educational underachievement amongst Protestant

:02:32. > :02:38.working-class boys. Then turned to her own case. In the past few weeks

:02:39. > :02:43.in my role as a teacher, I have been subjected to a campaign of sectarian

:02:44. > :02:48.intimidation. I have already expressed my warm thanks to all who

:02:49. > :02:53.have offered me support. But I want to take this opportunity to publicly

:02:54. > :02:58.send a message of gratitude to those pupils of the Boys Model School in

:02:59. > :03:06.north Belfast, who have courageously offered me their full support. The

:03:07. > :03:14.Deputy First Minister contrasted the response of Miss Seeley's pupils to

:03:15. > :03:17.that of some unionist politicians. If this situation was reversed and a

:03:18. > :03:22.young Protestant teacher who was also a member of the DUP was being

:03:23. > :03:28.forced from her job in a catholic school, I would be at the door

:03:29. > :03:31.accompanying her to her work. Martin McGuinness also called on those he

:03:32. > :03:36.described a sensible people within unionism to use their influence to

:03:37. > :03:40.secure a deal on flags, parade and the past. A number of speakers

:03:41. > :03:44.mentioned the Orange Order but, in truth, the real orange concern on

:03:45. > :03:53.most peoples minds here has been an orange weather warning for storms.

:03:54. > :03:58.There will be live coverage from the Ard Fheis on BBC Two at 8pm. Rugby,

:03:59. > :04:05.and Ireland defeated defending Six Nations champions Wales by 26 to

:04:06. > :04:10.three this afternoon in Dublin. It was always going to be a physical

:04:11. > :04:18.test. But Ireland were ready for the challenge. Jonny Sexton kicked them

:04:19. > :04:23.into an early lead. The pack drove home the advantage. Chris Henry's

:04:24. > :04:29.try came from a maul, but it troubled Wales all afternoon. In a

:04:30. > :04:35.disciplined performance, Ireland didn't look back. Paddy Jackson was

:04:36. > :04:40.late scoring in his conversion but it gave Joe Schmidt's many 23 point

:04:41. > :04:48.margin. I think the players can be satisfied. Jonny Sexton did a great

:04:49. > :04:53.drop # job driving us around the field. We got a bit of line-out

:04:54. > :04:59.pressure on, a bit of pressure defensively on. Then we got some

:05:00. > :05:03.scrum pressure on. They had to work off the line pretty hard and chased

:05:04. > :05:09.the game. The rain came at probably the right time for us, which was

:05:10. > :05:14.fortuitous. Be defending Six Nations champions are humbled at Lansdowne

:05:15. > :05:21.Road. Next up for Ireland a triple tilt at the Crown in Twickenham.

:05:22. > :05:27.The weather will stay fairly unsettled through the weekend

:05:28. > :05:30.because of low pressure. The low pressure is bringing stronger winds

:05:31. > :05:35.tonight, especially for the north coast. Gales of up to 50 mph. Any

:05:36. > :05:39.showers we do get this evening should pass quickly because of the

:05:40. > :05:46.winds. It's not going to be chilly tonight. Sunday, although we are

:05:47. > :05:51.expecting a scattering of showers, the good news is we won't have as

:05:52. > :05:55.many as today. By the afternoon it will brighten up and there will be

:05:56. > :05:59.some spells of sunshine. Unsettled to begin with. Eventually the

:06:00. > :06:02.showers begin to fizzle out and we will see much drier weather. Britain

:06:03. > :06:06.and Ireland tomorrow will be a much calmer day, no weather warnings.

:06:07. > :06:10.That low pressure system which has brought stormy conditions eventually

:06:11. > :06:21.nudging further north. It will keep it quite windy for Scotland and

:06:22. > :06:23.Northern Ireland, but much better conditions further south. As for

:06:24. > :06:26.Northern Ireland, tomorrow afternoon there will be some showers but also

:06:27. > :06:28.plenty of dry, bright and even sunny weather to enjoy. By tomorrow

:06:29. > :06:31.evening we will see a scattering of showers coming in from the West.

:06:32. > :06:35.From Monday, some of those showers could be wintry. But we are

:06:36. > :06:40.expecting a good deal of dry and bright weather too, although it will

:06:41. > :06:42.feel cooler with the winds. On Tuesday we have another weather

:06:43. > :06:45.system coming in from the Atlantic. There will be stronger winds and wet

:06:46. > :06:47.weather.
