:00:00. > 3:59:59two weeks' time. That is all from us tonight but do

:00:00. > :00:08.stay The headlines: Hello and welcome to

:00:09. > :00:12.BBC Newsline. The Governor of the Bank of England

:00:13. > :00:15.has said Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK where house

:00:16. > :00:19.prices are not recovering. Speaking on the BBC's Andrew Marr show, Mark

:00:20. > :00:25.Carney said house price recovery is 'a generalised phenomenon' aside

:00:26. > :00:28.from here. However the most recent official house price statistics for

:00:29. > :00:33.Northern Ireland suggest a modest recovery has begun. The Northern

:00:34. > :00:36.Ireland Residential Property Price Index, which is produced by

:00:37. > :00:41.Stormont's statistics agency, showed quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year

:00:42. > :00:55.rises in the third quarter of 2013. This afternoon, the Bank of England

:00:56. > :00:58.stood by Mr Carney's comments. If you look at the UK as a whole,

:00:59. > :01:02.everywhere except for Northern Ireland we are seeing prices begin

:01:03. > :01:06.to recover. So it is a generalised recovery. Northern Ireland has

:01:07. > :01:11.certainly not seen the recovery other parts of the UK have seen, but

:01:12. > :01:15.in mind you we seen a stabilisation of house prices and they are

:01:16. > :01:22.probably going to be for 2013 broadly flat. I expect to see growth

:01:23. > :01:29.of about 5% this year. What we will see later this week on Wednesday are

:01:30. > :01:33.the residential property price index figures and I think that will be

:01:34. > :01:40.further evidence for tentative signs of a housing recovery underway.

:01:41. > :01:44.The police are treating an attack on a house in north Belfast as a hate

:01:45. > :01:47.crime. A number of windows were smashed at the front of the house in

:01:48. > :01:51.Deacon Street off North Queen Street at around two o'clock this morning.

:01:52. > :01:55.No one was injured. It's understood a young child was among those in the

:01:56. > :01:58.house at the time of the attack. A woman has been taken to hospital

:01:59. > :02:02.after she inhaled fumes from a faulty oil burner at her home in

:02:03. > :02:05.Rostrevor in County Down. Fire crews were called to the house on Bridge

:02:06. > :02:09.Street at around one o'clock this afternoon. The woman, her partner

:02:10. > :02:12.and a young child were living at the property. The fire officer in charge

:02:13. > :02:18.of the operation said it's important oil burners are properly serviced.

:02:19. > :02:23.The occupant reported a smell of fumes. We spent time sending men in

:02:24. > :02:29.with equipment and they've ascertained it was due to a faulty

:02:30. > :02:33.burner, an oil fire burner, at the premises. It was in severe need of

:02:34. > :02:36.servicing. The lady was taken by paramedics for treatment, she is

:02:37. > :02:39.suffering from mild smoke inhalation.

:02:40. > :02:42.A man has been arrested after the police seized ammunition in Belfast.

:02:43. > :02:45.The 36-year-old was detained after officers carried out a planned

:02:46. > :02:50.search of a property in Boundary Way off the Shankill road last night.

:02:51. > :02:53.The man has been charged with possession of ammunition under

:02:54. > :03:01.suspicious circumstances. There were mixed fortunes for local

:03:02. > :03:04.productions at the BAFTAs tonight. The writers of Good Vibrations - the

:03:05. > :03:08.film telling the life story of local record shop owner Terri Hooley -

:03:09. > :03:13.mist out on the award for Outstanding Debut. But better news

:03:14. > :03:16.for Philomena, the story of an Irish woman's 50-year search for her son,

:03:17. > :03:19.starring Dame Judi Dench. Partly filmed in Rostrevor, the movie

:03:20. > :03:26.co-written by Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope won the award for best adapted

:03:27. > :03:39.screen play. The real Philomena is here tonight. Her story has been

:03:40. > :03:43.told and her story finished in the Vatican. She's been heard but there

:03:44. > :03:47.are 60,000 other women who have yet to trace their children and their

:03:48. > :03:50.story is not yet over. The Belfast giants are ice hockey's

:03:51. > :03:53.elite league champions. They won 3-1 tonight away to Nottingham Panthers

:03:54. > :03:56.and both the Dundee Stars and Sheffield Steelers lost meaning the

:03:57. > :04:00.Giants lift the fourth league title and second in three years.

:04:01. > :04:03.Now a look ahead to a story that we'll be bringing you on BBC

:04:04. > :04:06.Newsline at six thirty tomorrow night. Billy Connolly will be

:04:07. > :04:10.joining us from New York, where he'll be talking about his work with

:04:11. > :04:11.Seamus Heaney on one of the poet's last projects he was working on

:04:12. > :04:21.before he died. The weather, and we certainly

:04:22. > :04:25.enjoyed a better end to the weekend with plenty of dry sunny weather

:04:26. > :04:29.into the afternoon. Unfortunately, this evening we'd seen scattered

:04:30. > :04:33.showers coming in. That is because of this area of low pressure pushing

:04:34. > :04:37.in. Through the night, it will bring rain and some of that could be heavy

:04:38. > :04:41.at times. The good news is because of the cloud and rain we have no

:04:42. > :04:45.eyes or frost in the forecast tonight. Temperatures should stay

:04:46. > :04:49.around the single figures. Unsettled weather stays with us into Monday,

:04:50. > :04:57.it will be grey and damp would spell the rain. A fair amount of rain out

:04:58. > :05:01.there, not for everyone, but for some. The rain comes and goes as do

:05:02. > :05:06.the dry spells. It won't rain all day. That is the good news.

:05:07. > :05:09.Temperatures above average for this time of year. Elsewhere, low

:05:10. > :05:13.pressure is controlled across England and Ireland so a similar

:05:14. > :05:16.picture for us all. Cloudy and grey would spell the rain. For the

:05:17. > :05:21.south-west there is a weather warning in France for that rain,

:05:22. > :05:25.falling on very saturated ground. A further risk of flooding. For

:05:26. > :05:30.Northern Ireland do keep the waterproofs handy. There will be

:05:31. > :05:34.some dry spells to enjoy as well, it is not going to be completely wet

:05:35. > :05:39.everywhere. Through tomorrow evening, much of the rain will ease

:05:40. > :05:43.away. Temperatures nine or 10 degrees, well above average for the

:05:44. > :05:47.time of year. On Tuesday, remaining mostly persistent across parts of

:05:48. > :05:52.Scotland. Many other areas across Britain enjoy a dry day with good

:05:53. > :05:55.spells of sunshine. The Northern Ireland, a promising start of the

:05:56. > :06:00.day with good spells of sunshine through the afternoon. But wet

:06:01. > :06:04.weather and spells of rain arrive later on. Not by everyone.

:06:05. > :06:09.Temperatures stay above average for this time of year as well. Wednesday

:06:10. > :06:12.promises to be the best day of the week with plenty of dry weather to

:06:13. > :06:16.be had, but by Thursday another system from the Atlantic brings

:06:17. > :06:20.rain, showers and stronger winds. Our next BBC Newsline bulletin is at

:06:21. > :06:23.6.25am. You can keep up to day with local news on BBC Radio Ulster and

:06:24. > :06:31.news online. Good night.
