:00:13. > :00:18.Hello and welcome to BBC Newsline. The police are continuing to

:00:19. > :00:21.question a 23-year-old man about the death of a Co Antrim soldier at his

:00:22. > :00:24.barracks in England at the weekend. The family of Corporal Geoffrey

:00:25. > :00:29.McNeill of the Royal Irish Regiment, said he'd served with dedication and

:00:30. > :00:37.honour. Conor Macauley reports. The key was found dead in his barracks

:00:38. > :00:42.at the weekend. He was based in Shropshire with the 1st Battalion

:00:43. > :00:50.the Royal Irish Regiment. The 1st Battalion who are conducting the

:00:51. > :00:55.regiment arrested a 23-year-old soldier on suspicion of murder. This

:00:56. > :01:02.death has come as a shock to the people living in the town where he

:01:03. > :01:08.was born. When a young man joins the services he expects to be in places

:01:09. > :01:12.where there is a danger but we never expect these circumstances to be the

:01:13. > :01:16.danger that brings a life to an end. This community will have their

:01:17. > :01:22.thoughts and prayers with the family as they believe that there is very

:01:23. > :01:27.sad and tragic time. The family issued a statement this afternoon.

:01:28. > :01:33.One of his brothers said he had dedicated his life to the regiment

:01:34. > :01:37.and had served with dedication and honour. He said he was the marched

:01:38. > :01:47.-- much loved brother, uncle and son who had touched the lives of

:01:48. > :01:50.everybody who knew him. The Prime Minister has passed on his

:01:51. > :01:53.congratulations to Kelly Gallagher from Bangor who earlier today won

:01:54. > :01:59.Team GB's first ever Gold medal at the Winter Paralympic Games in

:02:00. > :02:03.Sochi. The visually impaired skier along with her guide Charlotte

:02:04. > :02:15.Evans, came first in the Super G event. I am just so excited. It

:02:16. > :02:20.shows you do not have to be from Austria or the USA to be a gold

:02:21. > :02:27.medallist. You can rain at home, quality training, you can just keep

:02:28. > :02:33.on working hard. Such hard work with our ups and downs. She did it for

:02:34. > :02:37.her daddy, we lost 1018 months ago. She did does all proud. So did

:02:38. > :02:41.Charlotte bringing her down safe, I am just so happy. Well BBC

:02:42. > :02:46.Newsline's Mervyn Jess has spent the day in Kelly's hometown of Bangor

:02:47. > :02:52.getting reaction to her success. Training in the Alps at the end of

:02:53. > :02:58.last year. Kelly Gallagher prepared well for the Winter Paralympics and

:02:59. > :03:03.it paid off with the gold medal. In her home town this morning news of

:03:04. > :03:09.her win was just beginning to sink in, especially at her old school.

:03:10. > :03:21.This man had taught the golden girl chemistry a few years ago. She did

:03:22. > :03:29.everything, from racing water boards to tooling through the new Forest,

:03:30. > :03:32.she never backed out. The fact that someone who was like ours is now

:03:33. > :03:41.achieving so much on the world stage is amazing. One idea of how to mark

:03:42. > :03:52.this momentous occasion is to paint her local letterbox in gold. It is

:03:53. > :04:05.brilliant news. One idea is to paint that letterbox cold. Smashing,

:04:06. > :04:13.brilliant. I had not heard about it. You know more about it now. I do,

:04:14. > :04:19.thanks for that! She is quite modest, does not push herself freely

:04:20. > :04:25.but we all know she is the world-class champion and she

:04:26. > :04:30.certainly proved that today. She is making headlines further afield

:04:31. > :04:34.while drawing trees from all quarters including the Prime

:04:35. > :04:42.Minister. I woke up this morning and heard that she had won. It is

:04:43. > :04:49.fantastic. She is a great girl, her family and I am sure the whole of

:04:50. > :04:56.anger are delighted for her. I would say the role of the civil services

:04:57. > :05:03.cheering for her as well, it she used to work here. It is the real

:05:04. > :05:07.honour to have an Olympic champion in the school and it was a terrific

:05:08. > :05:14.start to Monday morning for all abuzz. When I had heard here ten

:05:15. > :05:20.years ago I could tell she was going to do something special. She is a

:05:21. > :05:24.fantastic girl, I take my hat off to heart. Charges linked to the Robert

:05:25. > :05:27.Hamill murder investigation will be reinstated against three people

:05:28. > :05:30.following a court ruling. Robert Hamill was killed by a loyalist gang

:05:31. > :05:33.in Portadown in 1997. Former RUC officer Robert Cecil Atkinson and

:05:34. > :05:36.his wife Eleanor, both from Brownstown Road in Portadown, and

:05:37. > :05:39.Kenneth Hanvey from Derryanvil Road also in the town, face charges of

:05:40. > :05:56.conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Two men have been arrested

:05:57. > :06:02.in connection with pipe bomb attacks in Londonderry on Saturday. Police

:06:03. > :06:08.say the devices were packed with nails and IP left that the homes of

:06:09. > :06:11.two remaining families. One of the devices partially exploded, there

:06:12. > :06:15.were no injuries. A priest who was acquitted in 2012 of sexual assault

:06:16. > :06:21.charges against a teenage girl, is to return to his parish. Father

:06:22. > :06:24.Eugene Boland, who was Parish Priest in Cappagh in the Derry Diocese

:06:25. > :06:27.stepped aside four years ago while the allegations were investigated.

:06:28. > :06:30.The Belfast schoolgirl who shared a stage with President Obama and the

:06:31. > :06:33.First Lady ahead of the G8 summit last summer is attending the St

:06:34. > :06:36.Patrick's day reception at the Whitehouse later this week. Hannah

:06:37. > :06:39.Nelson, a pupil at Methodist college, made headlines around the

:06:40. > :06:54.world with an impassioned speech about her desire for lasting peace.

:06:55. > :06:57.I would not say particularly that my life has changed I was just the

:06:58. > :07:02.young person giving across the message and that is all I wanted to

:07:03. > :07:04.be. I did not want to stand up and be any different, I was just giving

:07:05. > :07:11.the views of the young people and it was supported greatly as I find out

:07:12. > :07:14.from social messaging responses. A wallaby and her joey have escaped

:07:15. > :07:17.from privately owned land in County Down. They went missing on Friday

:07:18. > :07:21.from the Knocksticken Road outside Clough on the road to Newcastle. The

:07:22. > :07:24.police say they should not be approached. The mother is just over

:07:25. > :07:27.two-feet high and her baby is white in colour. Football, and Glenavon

:07:28. > :07:31.are through to the semi-finals of the Irish cup after they beat

:07:32. > :07:34.Glentoran tonight, two goals to one at the Oval. Now tomorrow morning on

:07:35. > :07:37.Good Morning Ulster: A professor at Queen's University tells the

:07:38. > :07:40.programme he has evidence that older people are not getting the same

:07:41. > :07:47.treatment for cancer as younger patients and so are less likely to

:07:48. > :07:51.survive the disease. That's from 6:30 in the morning. There was

:07:52. > :07:55.plenty of dry and sunny weather today but will there be more

:07:56. > :08:01.tomorrow? Here's Barra Best with the forecast. It has been a cracking

:08:02. > :08:05.start to the week. I pressure is in control and it is here to stay

:08:06. > :08:09.through the week. It will give us good weather during the day but cold

:08:10. > :08:15.weather by night. Tonight we will have frost away from the course as

:08:16. > :08:20.temperatures drop below freezing. Pockets of mist and fog for tomorrow

:08:21. > :08:30.morning. There may be visibility problems on some roads. It is going

:08:31. > :08:33.to be a fine dry day weather-wise. The high pressure which is

:08:34. > :08:37.controlling our weather will control the weather right across Britain and

:08:38. > :08:41.Ireland throughout the day tomorrow. Noreen on the forecast for

:08:42. > :08:48.anyone. The best of the sunshine will be in northern wheels, northern

:08:49. > :08:52.England and up through Scotland. In the southern areas of England it

:08:53. > :08:59.will be cloudy at times but it will still be bright. Temperatures for

:09:00. > :09:03.hours in the afternoon will peak at around 12 Celsius. It will feel

:09:04. > :09:09.pleasant out and about. A good day for hanging out the washing. It will

:09:10. > :09:20.be another chilly night as we go into Wednesday. Today and tomorrow

:09:21. > :09:27.the fog will left and it will be sunny. On Thursday there may be a

:09:28. > :09:30.through spots of light rain -- a few spots of cloudy weather but it will

:09:31. > :09:31.stay dry. That's all from me, good
