:00:00. > :00:00.first British champion. That is it for now.

:00:00. > :00:11.Good evening. More than 30 divers have spent the

:00:12. > :00:15.day searching Lough Ree in County Westmeath for missing Portadown

:00:16. > :00:19.angler Darryl Burke. People in his home town have been showing their

:00:20. > :00:26.support for his family and that of his friend David Warnock who died

:00:27. > :00:33.when their boat sank on Thursday. This area and the banks of the River

:00:34. > :00:39.band was a favourite spot for the angler is at the centre of the Lough

:00:40. > :00:44.Ree tragedy. Last night, several hundred people held a candlelit

:00:45. > :00:48.vigil to support the families of 27-year-old David Warnock who died

:00:49. > :00:59.in the tragedy and Darryl Burke who is still missing. We hope and pray

:01:00. > :01:09.they can get closure soon. It is devastating. Hard to come to terms

:01:10. > :01:20.with it. What can we do? One family friend said her son taught Darrel Ho

:01:21. > :01:24.to fish. It is devastating. She is pregnant with a little girl he will

:01:25. > :01:31.never see. I don't know how his family is coping, I really don't.

:01:32. > :01:47.The search for him continued to. It involved 30 boats and divers. Flags

:01:48. > :01:52.are flying at half-mast in the town. Some people don't realise the

:01:53. > :01:58.dangers that lie beneath the water. It is a tragedy for all the fishing

:01:59. > :02:00.fraternity. The surviving man remains in a stable condition in

:02:01. > :02:03.hospital. Lord Eames has warned politicians

:02:04. > :02:07.that unless they deal with the past, problems over parades and flags will

:02:08. > :02:10.never be resolved. He was speaking in Belfast at a cross-community

:02:11. > :02:21.youth event, held to discuss the aftermath of the Haass talks.

:02:22. > :02:25.It was a conference for young people, but the older generation

:02:26. > :02:33.offered some advice. Lord Eames spoke of his disappointment at the

:02:34. > :02:39.failure by Stormont politicians to deal with the past at the Haass

:02:40. > :02:45.talks. Until you solve how we look at the past, how we deal with it, do

:02:46. > :02:50.we want to know what happened, why it happened, until you get and

:02:51. > :02:58.switch to that, the other two Mac issues in my opinion will not go

:02:59. > :03:02.away. The Haass talks did not succeed. Is the next generation

:03:03. > :03:08.still optimistic? I think if you look at the difference from way

:03:09. > :03:12.before my time and now, people never would have thought that I would be

:03:13. > :03:16.at a conference at people from East Belfast and West Belfast. This would

:03:17. > :03:22.not be something my mother or father would be part of. Our generation can

:03:23. > :03:30.open up the history book and write our own chapters about freedom,

:03:31. > :03:34.peace and love. One Saturday afternoon conference is not going to

:03:35. > :03:37.solve Northern Ireland's problems, but these people believe they have

:03:38. > :03:41.made a start. Hundreds of people have attended the

:03:42. > :03:44.funeral of Declan Small, who died in a helicopter crash with Lord

:03:45. > :03:46.Ballyedmond and two pilots in England earlier this month. Mourners

:03:47. > :03:50.at St Patrick's Church in Mayobridge were led by Mr Small's mother, his

:03:51. > :03:53.brothers and partner. In his homily, Father Charlie Byrne described Mr

:03:54. > :03:57.Small as a very skilled craftsman who always took great pride in his

:03:58. > :03:59.work. He said he was often referred to as Lord Ballyedmond's right hand

:04:00. > :04:08.man. The businessman's funeral service takes place tomorrow in

:04:09. > :04:11.Newry Cathedral. An 18-year-old youth will appear in

:04:12. > :04:15.court in the morning charged in connection with an attack on a war

:04:16. > :04:18.memorial at Killowen Orange Hall in Coleraine. A memorial stone was

:04:19. > :04:21.smashed in the incident on Friday night. Another youth and two teenage

:04:22. > :04:31.girls were also arrested and have been released pending a report to

:04:32. > :04:33.the Public Prosecution Service. The long-serving Alliance councillor

:04:34. > :04:37.Geraldine Rice has said she was shocked by comments made by her

:04:38. > :04:40.party colleague Anna Lo, when she stated her preference for a united

:04:41. > :04:46.Ireland. But speaking on The Sunday Politics Show, party leader David

:04:47. > :04:51.Ford again defended Ms Lo. I was really surprised at what she

:04:52. > :04:53.said, but I realise it was her own opinion and her own personal

:04:54. > :05:02.opinion. It is certainly not mine. I felt quite shocked about it. We have

:05:03. > :05:06.a diverse range of views and backgrounds because the defining

:05:07. > :05:12.issue of what unites us is the commitment to building a united

:05:13. > :05:16.community. That is our keystone. Not fitting in somewhere on the orange

:05:17. > :05:19.and green spectrum to satisfy other people.

:05:20. > :05:23.Hundreds of people have taken part in the annual Sport Relief run in

:05:24. > :05:26.Belfast. People of all ages set off just after 9am this morning from

:05:27. > :05:29.Custom House Square and headed towards the City Hall. Some ran one

:05:30. > :05:32.mile, others did three. Those feeling really energetic completed

:05:33. > :05:35.six miles, all to raise money for Sports Relief.

:05:36. > :05:41.We went round three times. It was really good. Great to see so many

:05:42. > :05:46.kids doing this. It is an added bonus that we can do this for a

:05:47. > :05:54.cause, rather than just for ourselves. Good.

:05:55. > :05:57.We have had a largely dry and bright day with just a few showers. Any

:05:58. > :06:05.showers we have at the moment will die out and will leave a dry night

:06:06. > :06:10.but actually one. By tomorrow morning, there will be some foster

:06:11. > :06:14.there. Although it will get off to a largely dry start, it will not stay

:06:15. > :06:21.that way. Unsettled weather is on its way from the Atlantic.

:06:22. > :06:27.Eventually, we will see Wayne. The East will stay largely dry until the

:06:28. > :06:36.afternoon. Further west, it will be wet. Britain will be a much better

:06:37. > :06:40.day. 20 of dry, bright and sunny weather. Eventually, that will

:06:41. > :06:47.affect parts of Wales and south-west England. Behind it, through the

:06:48. > :06:52.afternoon seeing quite wet and cloudy across Ireland with some very

:06:53. > :06:57.strong winds. For Northern Ireland into the afternoon, expect some rain

:06:58. > :07:04.and gusty winds. Temperatures tomorrow managing just eight or nine

:07:05. > :07:08.degrees. Tuesday is shaping up to be a much better day. There will be one

:07:09. > :07:12.or two showers here and there, but many areas will get to enjoy some

:07:13. > :07:16.good spells of sunshine. With a northerly wind coming in, it will

:07:17. > :07:22.feel colder than that, especially towards the North Coast. For the

:07:23. > :07:24.rest of the week, we expect settled conditions with dry and sunny

:07:25. > :07:28.weather. Our next bulletin is at 10:15pm this

:07:29. > :07:30.evening. Until then, you can keep up to date with local news on BBC Radio

:07:31. > :07:31.Ulster
