:00:00. > :00:13.Good afternoon. A six-year-old boy Stay with us on BBC One, it's time

:00:14. > :00:16.Good afternoon. A six-year-old boy who was knocked down along with his

:00:17. > :00:20.twin brother in Lisburn on Wednesday has died. Diarmuid Frazer died in

:00:21. > :00:25.hospital last night. His brother is said to be in a stable condition.

:00:26. > :00:28.Conor Macauley reports. As news filtered out that one of the

:00:29. > :00:31.six-year-old twins knocked down here on Wednesday had died, people

:00:32. > :00:35.arrived to lay flowers at the scene. Diarmuid Frazer and his brother had

:00:36. > :00:38.gone with a parent to have their hair cut, and were crossing Railway

:00:39. > :00:41.Street in Lisburn around 3:30pm when the accident happened. The boys were

:00:42. > :00:48.pupils of Ballymacward Primary School near Stoneyford. What

:00:49. > :00:53.happened on Wednesday was a tragic scene of events. Traffic was backed

:00:54. > :00:57.up due to roadworks but traffic in the near side lane was moving

:00:58. > :01:01.freely. The children crossed from the far side of the street. They

:01:02. > :01:05.were with a parent but came between the backed up cars so the young

:01:06. > :01:09.woman who hit and would have had little time to see them fought to

:01:10. > :01:14.stop. The boys were pupils of this primary school near Stony Brook.

:01:15. > :01:17.There had been prayers here since the accident that they'd both pull

:01:18. > :01:24.through. The news of Diarmuid's death has rocked this close knit

:01:25. > :01:27.rural community. We have been living on tenterhooks for days hoping and

:01:28. > :01:36.praying for the best and the news last night, this community were

:01:37. > :01:40.devastated. To no there is a little twin, little brother auntie is

:01:41. > :01:44.recovering and to see that tragedy has been awfully sad. Diarmuid's

:01:45. > :01:47.twin brother is said to be stable in hospital. Police are asking anyone

:01:48. > :01:55.who may have witnessed the accident to contact them.

:01:56. > :01:58.The family of Corporal Channing Day, the 25-year-old Comber medic who was

:01:59. > :02:01.killed in Afghanistan, attended a special service in Comber this

:02:02. > :02:04.morning. A new memorial in the town's square was unveiled to

:02:05. > :02:07.commemorate all those who had lost their lives in the armed forces

:02:08. > :02:10.since the Second World War. Channing's name was included on the

:02:11. > :02:19.monument, which was commissioned by Ards Borough Council. I don't Inc

:02:20. > :02:27.Channing will ever be forgotten in and around, . The number of people

:02:28. > :02:32.we have met that knew him when she was in the cadets and so on and just

:02:33. > :02:38.the tributes that were paid for her day and daily. A Russian sailor has

:02:39. > :02:41.appeared in court in Belfast, accused of being drunk in charge of

:02:42. > :02:44.a ship. Mikhail Irusglotov, who's 53, confirmed that he spoke some

:02:45. > :02:47.English. It's understood that the captain of the ship, which has a

:02:48. > :02:51.cargo of coal, alerted the harbour master that he believed his chief

:02:52. > :02:54.engineer was drunk. When he was breathalysed, it's alleged the

:02:55. > :02:57.sailor was more than three times the legal drink-drive limit. A police

:02:58. > :03:00.officer said they wouldn't be opposing bail because the vessel

:03:01. > :03:03.will be in Belfast harbour "for a period of time".

:03:04. > :03:06.Football now, and with just five more fixtures to go in the Danske

:03:07. > :03:08.Bank Premiership, Linfield hold a narrow two points' lead over

:03:09. > :03:11.champions Cliftonville. This afternoon, the top two meet at

:03:12. > :03:19.Windsor Park, in an encounter which will have a major bearing on the

:03:20. > :03:27.destination of the Gibson Cup. It could, if Linfield win they will

:03:28. > :03:32.go five clear with four games to go, but if we go over there and win, we

:03:33. > :03:39.will be at point clear, the situation is still retrievable, so

:03:40. > :03:45.it would only have a bearing on it. It will go down to the wire but it

:03:46. > :03:51.makes good viewing and for those who lump asked the Irish League, I'll

:03:52. > :03:55.tell you what, not bad for a leak from Northern Ireland. Now, there's

:03:56. > :03:57.just a week to go before Ulster's Heineken Cup quarterfinal against

:03:58. > :04:01.English side Saracens. But first, there's a Pro12 match today, away to

:04:02. > :04:05.Cardiff Blues, with coverage live on BBC Two from 6:20pm this evening.

:04:06. > :04:11.The match in Wales will offer a very different challenge to next week's

:04:12. > :04:22.big match. They are quite different teams. Saracens are a lot more pack

:04:23. > :04:28.orientated, whereas Cardiff today wider, so it will be a different

:04:29. > :04:35.style of game then we will face against Saracens. It is tough

:04:36. > :04:39.getting prepared for the Saracens game because they are such good

:04:40. > :04:46.teams. Now it's a miserable day outside, so what's the outlook for

:04:47. > :04:49.the rest of the day? Here's Cecilia. It is an little milder than

:04:50. > :04:57.yesterday and temperatures to borrow could hit the mid-teens. Still

:04:58. > :05:02.showers around today and tomorrow and that breeze will be especially

:05:03. > :05:06.no visible along the East Coast. We have rain and cloud in the Irish Sea

:05:07. > :05:11.which has been hanging over eastern counties today and will slide West,

:05:12. > :05:14.but it will be a slow process do the rest of the afternoon. The damp

:05:15. > :05:19.weather becomes confined to the West, drying up in the East,

:05:20. > :05:24.temperatures better than yesterday but it will feel jelly at times

:05:25. > :05:30.towards the east coast with a gusty easterly wind. You can see where all

:05:31. > :05:34.the fine warm and sunny weather is. Some sunshine for the North West of

:05:35. > :05:39.Scotland but downside, if anything it is slightly wetter than it is

:05:40. > :05:45.across us. That rain continues to move away West. A lot of places will

:05:46. > :05:50.be dry to begin with tonight, and of course the clocks spring board and

:05:51. > :05:54.are, and are less in bed so don't forget to reset your clocks. The

:05:55. > :05:58.rest of the night will be cloudy and damp so by morning it will be

:05:59. > :06:02.raining in places but it will stay relatively mild. Tomorrow slightly

:06:03. > :06:07.better than today. There will be some rain around and still a

:06:08. > :06:12.noticeable breed buzzed not as easy as today, and you will find many

:06:13. > :06:18.places will become drier tomorrow afternoon. 15 degrees is possible in

:06:19. > :06:23.the north-west so with a little sunshine it will be the better day

:06:24. > :06:27.this weekend. In the new week am a overall it is quite unsettled with

:06:28. > :06:28.further raids at temperatures are stated above the average.
