:01:10. > :01:14.been convicted. He was also charged with an attempted bombing in April
:01:15. > :01:20.the same year. 14 years ago eight BBC panorama programme named Seamus
:01:21. > :01:25.Daly as a suspect. He has always denied involvement at a police
:01:26. > :01:32.officer today told the court he could connect him with all of the
:01:33. > :01:39.charges. A detective inspector said the case is based on forensic
:01:40. > :01:44.evidence and telephone calls. The defence said the case was very weak.
:01:45. > :01:52.The court also heard that Seamus Daly refused to comment when
:01:53. > :01:59.questioned by police. It was revealed that Seamus Daly was
:02:00. > :02:04.arrested in the car park of this hospital. The court was told he was
:02:05. > :02:08.visiting his wife who was due to give birth today. He gave police
:02:09. > :02:13.officers his brother 's name and was only identified by fingerprint
:02:14. > :02:16.analysis. Detective Inspector Coldwell said it was the first
:02:17. > :02:24.opportunity the police had to arrest Seamus Daly. A defence lawyer
:02:25. > :02:32.disputed that, who said his client had been living in South Armagh for
:02:33. > :02:36.a number of years. Detective Inspector Coldwell said there were
:02:37. > :02:42.fears he may not appear for his trial and could flee across the
:02:43. > :02:50.border. He said there were also fears he might interfere with
:02:51. > :02:56.witnesses. This man's son was one of those killed. In court today he and
:02:57. > :03:01.his daughter sat just feet away from the man accused of his murder.
:03:02. > :03:04.Because of the person he was, we cannot just walk away. We have to
:03:05. > :03:09.know the truth about what happened and we have to see those responsible
:03:10. > :03:14.brought before the courts with proper evidence and sentenced.
:03:15. > :03:20.Seamus Daly was remanded in custody and till the 6th of May.
:03:21. > :03:24.A woman who was sexually abused by her parents, two uncles and two
:03:25. > :03:27.other men has described them as monsters. She and her three siblings
:03:28. > :03:31.were subjected to horrific abuse in the 1970s and early 1990s in County
:03:32. > :03:39.Down. Today all six of the abusers were sentenced. You may find some

:03:49. > :03:52.Today at Belfast Crown Court, sixth child sex abusers sat side-by-side
:03:53. > :04:01.in the dock. A father, mother and two uncles. The victims, Steve girls
:04:02. > :04:05.and a boy, suffered sexual abuse and neglect over several years, all when
:04:06. > :04:15.they were very young. The court heard they suffered arrested mental
:04:16. > :04:20.and physical development, often left unwashed for days. The mother was
:04:21. > :04:26.described as always drunk and having sex with a number of men. At times
:04:27. > :04:31.she made her children watch. One of the victims spoke to me anonymously.
:04:32. > :04:41.They would get drunk together and have intercourse in one of the front
:04:42. > :04:45.rooms. We were expected to watch. The abusers who are related cannot
:04:46. > :04:50.be named in order to protect the identity of the victims. The mother
:04:51. > :05:00.was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison. The father
:05:01. > :05:16.subjected his children to savage beatings, once with a porker. He got
:05:17. > :05:21.for months -- of the two uncles, one got a prison sentence of two years
:05:22. > :05:26.and nine months and the other got a six-month suspended sentence. They
:05:27. > :05:34.know what they did. I just hope this offer. The judge referred to a
:05:35. > :05:42.quote. He said, the hearts of young children I like delicate organs. A
:05:43. > :05:44.cruel beginning and twist them into curious shapes. The victims now want
:05:45. > :06:01.to move on with their lives. The police say children were almost
:06:02. > :06:05.certainly in a car in Londonderry which had a bomb under it. The
:06:06. > :06:07.device fell off in a driveway at Talbot Park yesterday afternoon.
:06:08. > :06:11.Nearby homes were evacuated for a time. This resident spoke to the
:06:12. > :06:19.woman who picked it up. She thought it was a tie. As you can imagine,
