:00:00. > 3:59:59first look at The Papers over on the BBC News Channel, but now on BBC

:00:00. > :00:17.One, its time hello and welcome to BBC Newsline.

:00:18. > :00:26.Another row has broken out between the deputy and first ministers. The

:00:27. > :00:34.DUP have described comments by their opponents as outrageous. How did

:00:35. > :00:43.this start? It is part of the continuing aftermath of the arrest

:00:44. > :00:55.of Gerry Adams. The design and about favouritism shown by David Cameron

:00:56. > :01:02.to the DUP. A scathing attack was launched on the First Minister. I

:01:03. > :01:10.would challenge anybody in the media to look for any MLA or MP who has

:01:11. > :01:14.attributed the violence against the Alliance party and against innocent

:01:15. > :01:19.people from Poland, Lithuania and other parts of eastern Europe, I

:01:20. > :01:24.challenge anybody to show me a statement from any of them that the

:01:25. > :01:34.UVF are involved. That is in my opinion coward this of the worst

:01:35. > :01:42.kind. What was the response of Peter Robinson? The DUP in a statement hit

:01:43. > :01:54.back strongly. They describe these commitments as outrageous, said the

:01:55. > :02:03.always disliked hate crimes. They had to adopt a more conciliatory

:02:04. > :02:08.tone for the Giro D'Italia. It is a matter of recognising we face

:02:09. > :02:14.serious challenges but have a responsibility to overcome them in

:02:15. > :02:23.the interests of our people. What is your response to those comments? We

:02:24. > :02:30.will respond in due course. This tonight is about the Giro D'Italia

:02:31. > :02:34.event. I do not think dragging those kind of controversial issues into an

:02:35. > :02:40.evening like this is the right thing to do. We agree on many things, we

:02:41. > :02:46.agree on encouraging visitors to come to Northern Ireland. We

:02:47. > :02:53.continue to push those issues together. The First Minister and

:02:54. > :02:59.Deputy First Minister were putting on a united front of sorts for the

:03:00. > :03:06.Giro D'Italia. But there are suggestions that Martin McGuinness

:03:07. > :03:11.has been frozen out by the DUP from some recent jobs announcements. You

:03:12. > :03:20.can see more of what Martin McGuinness had to say on a programme

:03:21. > :03:27.after this one. Women here cannot have free abortions on the NHS in

:03:28. > :03:30.Great Britain a court has ruled. A teenage girl had travelled to

:03:31. > :03:36.England for a termination when she was 15 and had to pay for the

:03:37. > :03:43.procedure. She had taken the case to court. It was in a clinic like this

:03:44. > :03:46.one that the 15-year-old girl from Northern Ireland had an abortion.

:03:47. > :03:52.Alongside her mother she travelled to Manchester because the procedure

:03:53. > :03:56.is unlawful here unless it is to preserve the life of the mother. At

:03:57. > :04:04.court the girl and her mother argued they should be able to access free

:04:05. > :04:08.abortions at hospitals in England. In court the girl's mother said the

:04:09. > :04:13.stress of not knowing whether her daughter would have the treatment

:04:14. > :04:17.and gathering the necessary funds was harrowing. She felt her daughter

:04:18. > :04:21.had been treated more stunned fairly because when she'd acquired

:04:22. > :04:28.treatment in another part of the UK, if she could not get it. The judge

:04:29. > :04:35.said this was a devolved matter which had to be resolved in Northern

:04:36. > :04:38.Ireland. We feel there needs to be more detailed engagement with the

:04:39. > :04:44.discrimination issues we have raised. The Society for the

:04:45. > :04:51.protection of the unborn child welcomed the decision saying had it

:04:52. > :04:56.gone the other way it would have led to more abortions taking place which

:04:57. > :05:04.would have been a bad thing or women and children. Despite what other

:05:05. > :05:12.people say there is support for a change in the law. 63% said women

:05:13. > :05:20.should not have to be macro for a private abortion in England,

:05:21. > :05:23.according to one poll. With the Justice Department considering

:05:24. > :05:31.consulting on changing aspect of the abortion law it is still unlikely

:05:32. > :05:39.there will be a change soon. And IT services department is creating 400

:05:40. > :05:47.jobs in Newtonabbey. The posts will have salary levels almost twice the

:05:48. > :05:53.Northern Ireland average. There has been a multi-million pound award of

:05:54. > :06:01.a contract by air lingers. It involves the purchase of 189 which

:06:02. > :06:07.convert to a flat bed. All are due to be in service by the end of March

:06:08. > :06:13.2015. Belfast turned pink earlier this evening as thousands of people

:06:14. > :06:19.turned up to see the world's elite cyclists at the opening ceremony of

:06:20. > :06:30.the Giro D'Italia. Our correspondent went along. They rolled out the pink

:06:31. > :06:34.carpet at City Hall. The opening ceremony was a chance to catch the

:06:35. > :06:43.first glimpse of the international riders before they hit the roads of

:06:44. > :06:48.well fast tomorrow. Also on display was some glamour. Organisers say it

:06:49. > :06:54.is more than just a cycle race, it is a social event. On the streets

:06:55. > :07:01.there was a party atmosphere and some party outfits. People of all

:07:02. > :07:07.ages from all corners of the city and beyond, most of them were

:07:08. > :07:14.wearing the same colour. It was fantastic, the kids had the ball. It

:07:15. > :07:20.is the atmosphere, the people, the friendliness and the pink for the

:07:21. > :07:29.girls. For local cycling clubs, it was a night to remember. We are down

:07:30. > :07:38.here celebrating the Giro D'Italia and wearing our pink tops for it.

:07:39. > :07:46.Did you write here? Recycled! One thing they talked about tonight was

:07:47. > :07:53.that it finally stopped raining. They do not like slippy conditions.

:07:54. > :08:00.What about the weather? The weather is a problem in Belfast. I think it

:08:01. > :08:04.is very dangerous for the bike. The race begins tomorrow afternoon in

:08:05. > :08:12.east Belfast. Rain or shine, the riders can expect a warm and

:08:13. > :08:22.colourful welcome. Let's get all the important weather for tomorrow from

:08:23. > :08:28.Cecelia Daly. If you like thunderstorms you may well hear a

:08:29. > :08:36.rumble of thunder or see a flash of lightning tonight. On the plus

:08:37. > :08:43.side, temperatures will not fall too low. Some of those heavy showers

:08:44. > :08:48.will be around tomorrow morning. They will ease as the day goes on.

:08:49. > :08:59.It should end on a reasonably fine note. Some showers to begin with. A

:09:00. > :09:03.persistent lying to the North Coast. -- persistent line. There will be

:09:04. > :09:08.some sharp showers across Scotland but dry and sunny weather will

:09:09. > :09:14.develop over the Republic of Ireland and many other areas of England and

:09:15. > :09:19.Wales. That will come our way tomorrow afternoon. Brightening up

:09:20. > :09:23.in the afternoon, still some showers around but not so heavy and becoming

:09:24. > :09:30.scattered. Temperatures could reach 15 degrees. On Friday night, later

:09:31. > :09:33.on, it will turn very wet. There will still be some of that heavy

:09:34. > :09:40.rain first thing on Saturday morning. Most of Saturday will bring

:09:41. > :09:44.some sunshine and heavy showers. Some of the showers will be funded

:09:45. > :09:50.aid but there will be dry gaps in between. Sunday will be similar with

:09:51. > :09:59.a mixture of sunshine and showers but rusty wins. That is all from

:10:00. > :10:03.ours for now. -- gusty winds.
