:00:00. > :00:10.Good evening. A search operation is continuing on

:00:11. > :00:15.Lough Erne for a man who is missing after a boat capsized. Five people

:00:16. > :00:20.who were also on board made it to shore.

:00:21. > :00:35.The search has been under way for four hours, the emergency services

:00:36. > :00:38.were called after receiving a report that a boat containing six people

:00:39. > :00:45.had overturned and that those people were in the water. By the time they

:00:46. > :00:50.arrived at the scene, close to the boathouse, five people had raided

:00:51. > :00:57.ashore, but one person remained unaccounted for. The search has been

:00:58. > :01:01.taking place involving the RNLI, lifeboat and the police boat, and

:01:02. > :01:06.the coastguard helicopter was also here, hovering over the scene.

:01:07. > :01:09.Firefighters and police officers have also been conducting searches

:01:10. > :01:15.along the shoreline will stop the overturned boat, a metal hold

:01:16. > :01:23.fishing boat, was found near the lock a short time ago. A lifeboat

:01:24. > :01:29.towed back here into any skill in. Darkness has now fallen, the search

:01:30. > :01:33.operation is being wound down for the night. The search for the

:01:34. > :01:35.missing man will resume in the morning.

:01:36. > :01:39.The victim of a racist attack in Newtownabbey says she's now too

:01:40. > :01:43.afraid to live in her home. The front window of the house at Linford

:01:44. > :01:45.Green in Rathcoole was smashed last night while the mother and her three

:01:46. > :01:58.children crouched in fear upstairs. It happened at 2:10am. Whoever it

:01:59. > :02:02.was appears to have known which has they wanted and threw a brick

:02:03. > :02:07.through the living room window. Upstairs, a woman and her children

:02:08. > :02:12.slept. The brick shattered more than the front window will stop it is a

:02:13. > :02:17.frightening experience, I have sent my children to school because I want

:02:18. > :02:22.to keep them in a routine, I do not want to worry them, but it is a

:02:23. > :02:27.frightening experience. I would not wish it on my worst enemy, it is

:02:28. > :02:33.terrifying. She has lived here for a year. Shortly after moving in,

:02:34. > :02:36.somebody scrawled racist graffiti across her front door, and she says

:02:37. > :02:47.she wants to move. It is happening all over Belfast, where do I go? I

:02:48. > :02:51.do not know. I am in a Catch-22. The police arrived within minutes and

:02:52. > :02:56.were here again this morning, but with no arrests, her neighbour says

:02:57. > :03:04.the attack -- the attacks are taking their toll. Disgusted, there are

:03:05. > :03:09.three boys in there, it is not good. She does not bother anybody, you

:03:10. > :03:15.never see them about. I see the kids go to school, they do not really, .

:03:16. > :03:20.After this more sinister turn, a close friend says there is fear in

:03:21. > :03:25.the air. I live two streets away, even though I have lived here

:03:26. > :03:30.longer, there are no guarantees. I am really scared, obviously. Another

:03:31. > :03:33.friend who visited from outside Lisbon says she is willing to pay

:03:34. > :03:39.more rent to live somewhere she feels safer. Where I live, there is

:03:40. > :03:45.none of this stuff, my children play outside with a neighbour's kids,

:03:46. > :03:49.they do not see colour, they just see people, that is how you should

:03:50. > :03:55.see people. This has left this family living in fear. It is not

:03:56. > :03:57.just this family. Other members of ethnic minorities are fearful they

:03:58. > :04:00.might be next. Dissident Republicans in north

:04:01. > :04:04.Belfast are being blamed for two attacks in the last 24 hours.

:04:05. > :04:07.Shortly after midnight, a man was wounded in the leg in a shooting at

:04:08. > :04:11.Jamaica Court in Ardoyne. He then assaulted a paramedic, who was left

:04:12. > :04:16.bruised and shaken. Then, in the same area, a petrol bomb was thrown

:04:17. > :04:19.at a van used by a Northern Ireland Water contractor firm. The workers

:04:20. > :04:22.were carrying out part of a ?10 million upgrade of water mains, but

:04:23. > :04:23.it's thought the attackers mistakenly believed they were

:04:24. > :04:37.installing water meters. Routine work on the water mains

:04:38. > :04:41.halted abruptly this morning. As the contractors went about their work,

:04:42. > :04:46.masked men arrived and used iron bars to attack the contractors'

:04:47. > :04:50.lobby, broke the windscreen and said the vehicle alight. Nobody was

:04:51. > :04:52.injured but the police and fire service were called and the

:04:53. > :04:58.contractors have now been withdrawn from the area. The company said the

:04:59. > :05:01.attack was unwarranted, unprovoked and unnecessary, and that the

:05:02. > :05:07.contractors were working for the good of the community. It added the

:05:08. > :05:12.rehab work is solely concerned with the improvement of the quality of

:05:13. > :05:18.water and the reduction of interruptions and leakage. It is not

:05:19. > :05:21.known when the work will be she. Hundreds of people have attended the

:05:22. > :05:24.funeral of the former Belfast city councillor and Progressive Unionist

:05:25. > :05:28.Party leader Hugh Smyth. He died earlier this week. His

:05:29. > :05:31.coffin was escorted from the West Belfast Orange Hall on the Shankill

:05:32. > :05:35.Road to St Anne's Cathedral for the service. PUP representatives carried

:05:36. > :05:39.the coffin and councillors from across the political divide attended

:05:40. > :05:44.to pay tribute to one of the best-known characters at the City

:05:45. > :05:47.Hall. A court has been told that a Chinese

:05:48. > :05:52.Triad gang was behind a cannabis-cultivation operation which

:05:53. > :05:56.was disrupted by the PSNI. The police raided addresses in north,

:05:57. > :05:59.west and east Belfast in 2012. A Chinese national, Zen Zyang, was

:06:00. > :06:02.today jailed for nine months for drug offences and for trying to send

:06:03. > :06:07.?50,000 in cash out of Northern Ireland.

:06:08. > :06:15.Sport now, and the North West 200 reaches its climax tomorrow. And

:06:16. > :06:23.after a double victory last night, one local hero was enjoying the

:06:24. > :06:30.adulation from the home fans today. The wiki DS, Alastair Seeley! When

:06:31. > :06:36.you are the fastest rider on the north coast, you are a man in

:06:37. > :06:40.demand. This than 24 hours after securing a thrilling double

:06:41. > :06:45.victory, he paid a special visit to Coleraine town centre to meet the

:06:46. > :06:49.fans. I am really enjoying myself, the atmosphere is unreal, it is nice

:06:50. > :06:54.to do the business on the track and put on a good show. They all

:06:55. > :06:59.appreciated it. I was getting programmes waving at me, it is nice

:07:00. > :07:03.to have that. Tomorrow will be busy, four races, I am looking

:07:04. > :07:10.forward to it. Roll on tomorrow, hopefully everybody can cheer me on.

:07:11. > :07:15.One person who will not be on the grid on Saturday is only a Costello,

:07:16. > :07:21.who crashed in Thursday's practice. But she is back on her feet. My leg

:07:22. > :07:25.must have taken the impact, I thought I had got away with a

:07:26. > :07:31.bruised knee, they sent me for an x-ray and they found a break. That

:07:32. > :07:37.will is out for Saturday. When things do not go your way on the

:07:38. > :07:42.track, the ever present chaplains are a calming influence for

:07:43. > :07:47.everybody. We see our role in train to help as many in that community,

:07:48. > :07:51.whether it is officials or marshals on the scene, and if we can get

:07:52. > :07:56.alongside them, sometimes all they need is an arm round their shoulder

:07:57. > :07:59.and somebody to listen. The fans will be all ears tomorrow as they

:08:00. > :08:02.get set for another spectacular day of racing.

:08:03. > :08:06.And just a reminder that roads close tomorrow morning at 9:30am.

:08:07. > :08:09.In football, there was a disappointing start for the new

:08:10. > :08:10.Derry City manager Peter Hutton. They were beaten 2-0 away by Cork

:08:11. > :08:24.City tonight. It has been another lovely warm day,

:08:25. > :08:30.the warmth will continue for a while this weekend, but changes are on the

:08:31. > :08:35.way. Tonight, we can expect rain for the north and west. Parts of the

:08:36. > :08:39.Southeast should stay dry and mild. It will be a cloudy day for most

:08:40. > :08:45.places tomorrow, and some rain for a time, especially for the morning and

:08:46. > :08:52.the North West. Parts of the Southeast will stay dry. Some damp

:08:53. > :08:55.weather for the North West 200, but there will be some dry spells at

:08:56. > :09:01.times, especially through the afternoon. Much of the rain will be

:09:02. > :09:08.like. This is the area of rain, it weakens for a time tomorrow. Much of

:09:09. > :09:14.eastern Scotland, England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland will be dry

:09:15. > :09:18.and warm, with plenty of sunshine. There will still be borne across

:09:19. > :09:24.Northern Ireland tomorrow, especially over Belfast and the

:09:25. > :09:30.Southeast. Colder, cloudier and wet in the North and West, with the

:09:31. > :09:33.brisk wind. The rain will reach everywhere for Saturday night into

:09:34. > :09:38.Sunday, so a completely different day, cold, wet and windy. Hopefully,

:09:39. > :09:41.it will ease off at times, but not going to far. An improvement on

:09:42. > :09:56.Tuesday. Have a great weekend. We are back tomorrow evening at

:09:57. > :09:59.6:55pm. You can keep up to date with News Online and follow this

:10:00. > :10:01.programme on Facebook and Twitter. From BBC Newsline, goodnight.
