:00:09. > :00:11.Good evening. Around 4,000 people have attended an anti-racism rally

:00:12. > :00:14.outside Belfast City Hall. It follows recent racist attacks in the

:00:15. > :00:15.city and a row over controversial

:00:16. > :00:20.comments about Muslims made by a Belfast

:00:21. > :00:23.pastor and the First Minister, Peter Robinson. A smaller rally was also

:00:24. > :00:34.held in Londonderry. Dan Stanton reports.

:00:35. > :00:44.Their was massive support for Anna Lo, the MLA who herself has been the

:00:45. > :00:49.victim of racist abuse. It is not about me, it is about all of us. We

:00:50. > :00:55.must stand up against sectarianism and racism. Islamic leaders and

:00:56. > :01:03.members of other ethnic groups were among the crowd which spilled onto

:01:04. > :01:08.the road outside Belfast City Hall. I'm disappointed that we need to

:01:09. > :01:14.organise a rally to see no to racism. I do not remember such a

:01:15. > :01:18.drastic increase in hate crime incidents in recent years. Today's

:01:19. > :01:24.rallies were organised after the First Minister, Peter Robinson,

:01:25. > :01:31.defended Pastor James McConnell who described Islam as Satanic and

:01:32. > :01:34.heathen. Mr Robinson also said he would not trust Muslims involved in

:01:35. > :01:41.violence or devote ease of Sharia law. He also said he would trust

:01:42. > :01:47.Muslims to go to the shops for him. The First Minister claims he was

:01:48. > :01:55.misinterpreted. Many are today's demonstration did not think he had

:01:56. > :01:59.goal -- many ad today's demonstration did not think that he

:02:00. > :02:07.had went far enough. I would like to see changes made in the government.

:02:08. > :02:10.Respect for ethnic minorities. It was shameful. I would like to think

:02:11. > :02:18.he would have the decency to stand down. The police have closed the

:02:19. > :02:21.road here because of the number of people who have turned up. There is

:02:22. > :02:54.due to be another antiracism rally next weekend.

:02:55. > :02:57.A 49-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Cushendun. He was

:02:58. > :03:00.riding a motorcycle which was involved in a collision with a car

:03:01. > :03:02.on the Loughareema Road just after

:03:03. > :03:05.half-past ten this morning. A Londonderry hotel which was badly

:03:06. > :03:09.damaged in a fire bomb attack in the early hours of Friday morning has

:03:10. > :03:10.re-opened. The owners of the Everglades

:03:11. > :03:13.Hotel, which is the starting point for tomorrow's Walled City Marathon,

:03:14. > :03:16.said they were determined to get back to business as soon as

:03:17. > :03:21.possible. Peter Coulter reports.

:03:22. > :03:25.Fire damaged. What a difference a day makes. The final touches, a

:03:26. > :03:27.quick hoover. The hotel is ready for its guest. The Everglades Hotel is

:03:28. > :03:29.part of the Hastings group. The owner paid tribute to the staff.

:03:30. > :03:32.Yesterday, I was shocked. I thought it was a difficult situation. To

:03:33. > :03:34.date, the amount of work and the achievement and the support that

:03:35. > :03:39.everybody has given has been enormous. The Deputy First Minister

:03:40. > :03:44.also came along to show his support. It was an opportunity to express my

:03:45. > :03:50.support and solidarity for the fantastic people who work in this

:03:51. > :03:55.hotel. Around 1500 people are Jews here tomorrow for the start of the

:03:56. > :03:58.Walled City Marathon. Everyone I have been speaking to says they are

:03:59. > :04:03.determined not to be drawn back to the past. The message is that

:04:04. > :04:09.Londonderry and the Everglades are open for business. Families came out

:04:10. > :04:13.to soak up the sun at this carnival. Organisers say that they hope the

:04:14. > :04:14.carnival and to moral's marathon show the city in the way that it

:04:15. > :04:19.wants to be seen. In international football, Northern

:04:20. > :04:22.Ireland were narrowly defeated by Uruguay in a friendly match in

:04:23. > :04:24.Montevideo. This close-range strike by

:04:25. > :04:26.Christian Suani in the 62nd minute was enough to win the game for the

:04:27. > :04:29.home side, who will face England in the

:04:30. > :04:32.group stages at next month's World Cup

:04:33. > :04:34.finals in Brazil. And the Republic of Ireland are due

:04:35. > :04:37.to kick off their international friendly in Italy within the next

:04:38. > :04:39.hour. A glorious day today. What does the

:04:40. > :04:43.rest of the weekend have in store for

:04:44. > :04:58.us? Here's Angie Philips. It has been glorious today. I hope

:04:59. > :05:01.you are making the most of it, because by tomorrow, it will not be

:05:02. > :05:08.as cheery. It will be a nice evening. There will be brightness to

:05:09. > :05:11.end the day. Overnight, cloud will be increasing. There will be some

:05:12. > :05:18.rain and drizzle, especially in the Northwest. Not amounting to much.

:05:19. > :05:24.Generally, it will be dry. Low temperatures of 11 degrees.

:05:25. > :05:29.Tomorrow, more cloud around. We will see more rain moving in. It will be

:05:30. > :05:34.a dry start for the Walled City Marathon. As we head towards the

:05:35. > :05:43.afternoon, there will be an increasing threat of rain. Tomorrow,

:05:44. > :05:50.some spots of rain in places. Elsewhere, some fine weather on

:05:51. > :05:53.offer, especially across the East of Scotland. Two words Wales and the

:05:54. > :05:59.south-west, it will be clouding over. Thicker cloud moving into the

:06:00. > :06:05.north and west of Scotland, and Ireland as well. Some of the rain

:06:06. > :06:10.could be thundery. Some of that will affect parts of Northern Ireland in

:06:11. > :06:15.the afternoon. Not all parts, there will be gaps. Temperatures down on

:06:16. > :06:20.today and it will be more of a breeze. Tomorrow evening, most of

:06:21. > :06:22.those will see the heavy, Shelley rain for a time. It sets us up for

:06:23. > :06:36.the week ahead.
