:00:29. > :00:34.injured the news does not look good and we sympathise with all involved.

:00:35. > :00:41.I have and we sympathise with all involved.

:00:42. > :00:48.already. People are very upset. I was at Ballymoney show all day, they

:00:49. > :00:49.already. People are very upset. I crowds all day, and for families to

:00:50. > :00:54.hear this news when they are coming A carpet store has been destroyed

:00:55. > :00:58.in a major fire at a retail park in East Belfast.

:00:59. > :00:59.Louise Cullen reports. The thick smoke rising

:01:00. > :01:02.from the unit at Connswater Retail Up close, the flames tore through

:01:03. > :01:07.the building as crowds looked on. It was a typically busy Saturday

:01:08. > :01:10.afternoon here at Connswater Retail When the fire started,

:01:11. > :01:26.the shop was filled with customers. We are dealing with a very severe

:01:27. > :01:30.fire. All staff and members of the public in the shop when it was

:01:31. > :01:36.biggest, there was great action by the staff to get people out and even

:01:37. > :01:37.now we are dealing with damage but thankfully not any injuries or loss

:01:38. > :01:39.of life. As the fire slowly came under

:01:40. > :01:49.control, concern grew about It is a bad blow could a retail park

:01:50. > :01:53.and hopefully they can get these businesses open again quickly. One

:01:54. > :01:55.premise is very badly damaged, the ones next to which have fire and

:01:56. > :01:58.smoke damage also. Investigations are underway

:01:59. > :02:04.into the cause of the blaze. A man has died

:02:05. > :02:07.after he was struck by a car The victim,

:02:08. > :02:10.48-year-old Gordon Deery, who was from the area, was walking on the

:02:11. > :02:13.Belfast Road just before midnight when the incident occurred.

:02:14. > :02:26.A 21-year-old man has been arrested. Thousands of people have taken part

:02:27. > :02:30.in an anti-racism march in Belfast. It was organised in response to

:02:31. > :02:36.an upsurge in hate crime and With percussion in hand

:02:37. > :02:39.and voices at the ready, anti-racism demonstrators drummed,

:02:40. > :02:41.chanted and even sang their way Organisers said it was

:02:42. > :02:58.the most ethnically diverse march The message today is quite simple,

:02:59. > :03:01.say no to racism. It is a chance for people to stand with their

:03:02. > :03:06.neighbours of all ethnic origins, religious groups, and a chance to

:03:07. > :03:08.send a message to politicians that the lack of political action on this

:03:09. > :03:11.issue is no longer acceptable. At Writers' Square,

:03:12. > :03:13.speakers called for an end to racist attacks and for Stormont to publish

:03:14. > :03:16.its racial equality strategy. This speaker, who's Polish,

:03:17. > :03:30.said she'd found the events It's made me wonder why I'm here.

:03:31. > :03:34.I've been here for ten years and this is my home, I don't want to go

:03:35. > :03:37.anywhere else, but the last few weeks have been really difficult.

:03:38. > :03:40.It's moving for me that so many people of all nationalities,

:03:41. > :03:43.races and different beliefs came out here today.

:03:44. > :03:51.In spite of bad weather, organisers say they are pleased with a good

:03:52. > :03:55.turnout, they estimate between 6000 and 8000 people have taken to the

:03:56. > :04:05.streets. Everyone who has taken part says it is spending out as strong a

:04:06. > :04:10.message as they could have hoped. -- sending out as good a message.

:04:11. > :04:16.David Humphreys today confirmed that he is to

:04:17. > :04:20.He is joining English club Gloucester to take up

:04:21. > :04:31.No one was more shocked than the chief executive, at Ravenhill today.

:04:32. > :04:38.David of course wants to move his career on, the surprising part is

:04:39. > :04:43.this bead at which it happened. How did David explain his reasons for

:04:44. > :04:50.wanting to leave? Primarily career, he feels the need to test himself in

:04:51. > :04:55.a different environment. Humphreys enjoyed a stellar career as a player

:04:56. > :04:58.with Ulster, captaining the side to European cup success in 1989 before

:04:59. > :05:03.becoming director of European cup success in 1989 before

:05:04. > :05:09.ago. What did Ulster try and do to keep David Humphreys here? I don't

:05:10. > :05:14.think we tried to do anything. He has been consistent in saying his --

:05:15. > :05:20.he wants his career to an advanced so we wouldn't stand in his way. So

:05:21. > :05:29.as David Humphreys ends a 20 year association with Ulster, the search

:05:30. > :05:34.now begins to find his successor. It was a very wet day earlier for

:05:35. > :05:39.us. Here is the rest of the weekend weather forecast. After a miserable

:05:40. > :05:45.day it is brightening for the evening. This deck area of cloud is

:05:46. > :05:48.at last moving north. The sun has come through across parts of the

:05:49. > :05:53.South and west and it will continue to brighten this evening. Not

:05:54. > :05:57.completely dry, there will be a few sharp showers across parts of the

:05:58. > :06:02.West but otherwise a nice end to the day. Some showers in the early hours

:06:03. > :06:06.and it stays mild. Tomorrow may start but we are looking at a drier

:06:07. > :06:10.brighter day overall with sunshine breaking through the mist in the

:06:11. > :06:15.morning. As temperatures start to rise, showers will brew up and drift

:06:16. > :06:20.north towards North in the afternoon. There will be a handful

:06:21. > :06:26.of travellers for parts of northern written but otherwise warm weather

:06:27. > :06:33.with temperatures reaching in the mid-20s in parts of England, up to

:06:34. > :06:35.18, possibly 20 degrees for us. There will be heavy showers,

:06:36. > :06:42.especially in the West where there could be thunder, the best whether

:06:43. > :06:45.further east. In the new week, we keep this mix of sunshine and

:06:46. > :06:48.showers and with winds in the South, it will stay on the warm side with

:06:49. > :06:57.temperatures up to possibly 20 degrees. We'll be back tomorrow

:06:58. > :07:02.evening at 6:10pm. You can keep up to day with local news on BBC Radio

:07:03. > :07:03.Ulster and our local news online service. Enjoy the rest of your
