:00:17. > :00:20.The Orange Order has staged peaceful protests against

:00:21. > :00:22.the Parades Commission at its annual Twelfth of July

:00:23. > :00:26.At the 17 main parades, marchers stopped for six minutes and a

:00:27. > :00:28.statement calling for the Commission to be scrapped was read out.

:00:29. > :00:32.A major security operation has been in place all day but so far there

:00:33. > :00:46.The morning parade past Ardoyne shops in north Belfast. Local

:00:47. > :00:50.residents came out to watch as well as a large number of Orange Order

:00:51. > :00:56.supporters. They were kept apart by the police. The decision by the

:00:57. > :01:02.Parades Commission not to allow the return March this evening up this

:01:03. > :01:11.part of the Crumlin Road left to protest action today at all of the

:01:12. > :01:18.main parades. And the word is, let them home! We are sobbing for six

:01:19. > :01:23.minutes and all parades are stopping for six minutes to show solidarity

:01:24. > :01:28.with the gang who face six minutes of intolerance. That is because of

:01:29. > :01:34.the Parades Commission as they bow down to threats. As planned, the

:01:35. > :01:38.parade only did stop for six minutes then onto the main demonstration

:01:39. > :01:44.where more calls were made to an end to the Parades Commission. Bands

:01:45. > :01:51.passing close to St Patrick's Catholic church in Donegall Street

:01:52. > :01:55.one is allowed to play music. Sinn Fein it complained that some tunes

:01:56. > :01:58.well played by the attention was eased when the actions of some

:01:59. > :02:05.waters in the parade left all sides smiling. The local priest said that

:02:06. > :02:10.most bands did show respect to the church. There has been a lot of

:02:11. > :02:14.respect from the men as they go past as well. I'm sure the authors did

:02:15. > :02:18.not mean any disrespect when they stopped outside the charge! Large

:02:19. > :02:21.not mean any disrespect when they crowds turned out in the city centre

:02:22. > :02:21.to watch the bands and for most of the

:02:22. > :02:33.Vincent Kearney is at Ardoyne, where the return parade is due shortly.

:02:34. > :02:44.Vincent? Well the parade is due to arrive

:02:45. > :02:50.here shortly. Just like last year, there is a line across the road of

:02:51. > :02:55.police officers. -- that was last year. The police have installed a

:02:56. > :02:59.barrier. You can see members of the Orange Order in front of that. They

:03:00. > :03:04.will form a line across the road in front of the police line. They want

:03:05. > :03:07.to create space between the protest and the police line. Then as the

:03:08. > :03:12.members of the Orange Order walk-through that line they will

:03:13. > :03:16.read a statement of protest. Then the band will play a few tunes and

:03:17. > :03:22.the members of the Orange Order will be asked to turn away. The police

:03:23. > :03:27.and the Orange Order are both confident at this stage that that

:03:28. > :03:29.tactic will avoid a repeat of the violence that we saw at the spot

:03:30. > :03:33.last year. Three flagship parades were held

:03:34. > :03:47.in Larne, Markethill and Limavady. City and country lodges joined in

:03:48. > :03:52.Limavady as the entire Orange Order fraternity of County Londonderry

:03:53. > :03:57.came together for 14 -- we first time in 14 years. Co Armagh has been

:03:58. > :04:02.regarded as the biggest gathering for many years. This year's parade

:04:03. > :04:06.in Markethill was no exception. The rain stayed away and the crowds

:04:07. > :04:14.turned out in their thousands to watch Orange men and women. Lana

:04:15. > :04:18.welcomed the lodges and bands of East Antrim. In common with all

:04:19. > :04:23.today's parade, marchers stopped for six minutes to show their support

:04:24. > :04:24.for the North Belfast Orangemen. It was then time for fun and a bite to

:04:25. > :04:29.eat before the journey home. A community services centre has been

:04:30. > :04:32.badly damaged in an arson attack Petrol bombs and stones were thrown

:04:33. > :04:36.at the Dunanney Centre in the Rathcoole estate

:04:37. > :04:38.in the early hours of this morning. Ceilings came down

:04:39. > :04:40.and several windows were smashed. The centre houses the Citizens

:04:41. > :04:52.Advice Bureau and Sure Start. This is the second time in a matter

:04:53. > :04:57.of months that we have been targeted. It beggars belief because

:04:58. > :05:01.we are the hub of this community. There are 200 people coming through

:05:02. > :05:03.the centre every day, from babies to pensioners.

:05:04. > :05:05.Three men have been injured in separate overnight knife attacks

:05:06. > :05:10.A 28-year-old was stabbed during sectarian clashes at Ormeau

:05:11. > :05:15.In East Belfast, a 21-year-old man was stabbed in Montrose Street.

:05:16. > :05:17.And in north Belfast, a 19-year-old man was stabbed

:05:18. > :05:39.Good evening. A better day coming up. Some rain coming though it will

:05:40. > :05:45.move away to the east. Just 12-macro light showers overnight. Also mild

:05:46. > :05:50.night. Tomorrow is a better, brighter day. Also drier. There will

:05:51. > :05:54.be one two showers but they will be white -- they will be light and

:05:55. > :05:58.scattered. There is good weather across the Republic of Ireland as

:05:59. > :06:03.well. Also Wales, western England and parts of western Scotland. For

:06:04. > :06:08.the East of Scotland, eastern England and central England, there

:06:09. > :06:13.will be quite a few showers, some on the heavy side. In the least,

:06:14. > :06:19.brighter conditions move into the West, it will be a bit fresher.

:06:20. > :06:23.Similar temperatures in Northern Ireland it will not be feeling quite

:06:24. > :06:31.as money. Another weather front on the way on Monday. More spells of

:06:32. > :06:35.rain. That's it. You can keep up-to-date

:06:36. > :06:36.online. Enjoy the rest of
