:00:40. > :00:42.The artist issued a statement just before 10pm. He said he was crushed

:00:43. > :00:46.by the news. In light of the decision, he says, he told ticket

:00:47. > :00:50.outlets to go ahead with the refund process which will begin on

:00:51. > :00:55.Thursday. 400,000 people had bought tickets to see the American country

:00:56. > :01:00.star on five consecutive nights at the end of July. A row over the

:01:01. > :01:03.impact of the scale of the conference and the effect they would

:01:04. > :01:07.have on the community led Dublin City Council to agree to only

:01:08. > :01:12.license three. Brooks said he would only proceed if all five continents

:01:13. > :01:15.were allowed. He later rejected a compromise arrangement which would

:01:16. > :01:21.have seen a three night-time concerts and two matinees played

:01:22. > :01:25.over three days. In a statement, a promotional company said despite

:01:26. > :01:29.having looked at all solutions, the five concerts were being cancelled.

:01:30. > :01:34.Concluding his statement, Garth Brooks thanked his promoter and

:01:35. > :01:50.Irish fans. He encouraged them to attend other gigs on his upcoming

:01:51. > :01:54.world tour. The residents groups are still

:01:55. > :01:58.But unionists parade by the Ligoneil lodges. say

:01:59. > :02:02.Parades Commission is being stepped up - and next week they're expected

:02:03. > :02:06.The residents groups are still opposed to a return

:02:07. > :02:15.It was the most peaceful 12 of July in years. The violence many feared

:02:16. > :02:19.did not materialise. Including in north Belfast, where the return

:02:20. > :02:22.journey by Ligoneil lodges up the Crumlin Road was prevented by a

:02:23. > :02:26.parades commission ruling for the second year in a row. The Orange

:02:27. > :02:31.Order has been praised for its peaceful reaction. In Ardoyne today

:02:32. > :02:35.the residents groups made it clear that it would take more than one

:02:36. > :02:40.peaceful 12 July to resolve the parades issue. I think the Orange

:02:41. > :02:45.need to re-engage with local residents. I think we need to change

:02:46. > :02:55.the attitudes. I think what happened at the weekend was a good move that

:02:56. > :02:59.we need to build on. The other residents group says it is also

:03:00. > :03:04.prepared to talk, but is a return parade by the Ligoneil lodges really

:03:05. > :03:10.possible? I don't think we'll ever see another parade through this

:03:11. > :03:16.community. They are unwonted. We need to sit down and they cannot

:03:17. > :03:22.Anna Soubry to viable. That is the only viable solution. Nearby, that

:03:23. > :03:23.is not what Orange Order supporters wanted to hear.

:03:24. > :03:34.is not what Orange Order supporters been here for the past year. There

:03:35. > :03:40.is a 24-hour chef -- 24-hour shift system in place. They have CCTV,

:03:41. > :03:45.ATV, electric heaters. They have certainly made themselves at home.

:03:46. > :03:49.They believe that the weekend's events have brought the day closer

:03:50. > :03:54.when they will get what they want - a parades back up the Crumlin Road.

:03:55. > :03:59.I have spent every night here. I have been working during the day is

:04:00. > :04:03.coming here at night. I am very hopeful that we are doing the right

:04:04. > :04:06.thing, we are peacefully lobbying for our human rights. Talking to

:04:07. > :04:11.people on both sides of the divide here today, it is difficult to see

:04:12. > :04:15.how there will ever be a solution to the parades dispute. The peaceful

:04:16. > :04:17.weekend did do something very important, which was to give

:04:18. > :04:20.everyone some breathing space. Two clergymen who've been involved

:04:21. > :04:23.in discussions to resolve the Ardoyne parading issue have been

:04:24. > :04:26.re-acting to the weekend's events. They say they welcome the breathing

:04:27. > :04:29.space offered by the peaceful outcome, but work must begin now to

:04:30. > :04:46.resolve the issue once and for all. People with in Ardoyne and that

:04:47. > :04:49.general area itself were all obviously concerned about the wider

:04:50. > :04:52.process. We are frustrations with the fact that Ardoyne is the canvas

:04:53. > :04:57.on which everybody paints their problems around the 12th of July

:04:58. > :05:04.parading. We are feeling that we have the solution, the potential for

:05:05. > :05:10.a dissolution within that area. There is a need for people to engage

:05:11. > :05:14.as as soon as possible. There is a call on the big picture politics,

:05:15. > :05:19.the helpers of what is clearly not just a little difficulty, and we do

:05:20. > :05:24.need to have some new ideas, new language, new approaches brought to

:05:25. > :05:27.a bigger political picture, so that the weather in which the local

:05:28. > :05:31.dialogue takes place remains good, sunny weather.

:05:32. > :05:34.The controversial Bushmills Dunes golf project will still go ahead,

:05:35. > :05:35.despite the death in the United States

:05:36. > :05:38.Alistair Hanna, who was originally from Belfast,

:05:39. > :05:47.Our business correspondent Julian O'Neill reports.

:05:48. > :05:52.Alistair Hanna was aged 69 and is for the last 20 years of his life

:05:53. > :06:02.had talked of creating a world-class golf resorts. His plan was Bushmills

:06:03. > :06:08.Dunes, the ?100 million project combining a championship course, a

:06:09. > :06:12.hotel and 70 lodges. He had obtained planning permission to years ago, a

:06:13. > :06:18.controversial decision because of its proximity to the Giants

:06:19. > :06:20.Causeway. A High Court challenge by the National trust failed and

:06:21. > :06:26.Alistair Hanna's relative said today that despite his death, work on the

:06:27. > :06:38.project would begin later this year. In a statement, his wife said:

:06:39. > :06:44.Born in Belfast, Alistair Hanna had been living in the United dates for

:06:45. > :06:47.40 years. Most of it he spent working with a management

:06:48. > :06:52.consultancy firm. -- in the United States will stop.

:06:53. > :06:55.Thousands have turned out to see the annual re-enactment of the

:06:56. > :06:58.battle between King William and King James at the Battle of the Boyne.

:06:59. > :07:01.The Sham fight in Scarva in County Down took place after the parade

:07:02. > :07:18.Now it's a big week for some of our local golfers with the Open

:07:19. > :07:20.taking place at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake from Thursday.

:07:21. > :07:24.Stephen Watson is there for BBC Newsline.

:07:25. > :07:30.In five years time, the famous yellow leaderboard will be at Royal

:07:31. > :07:35.Portrush. This yellow leaderboard will be at Royal

:07:36. > :07:38.Liverpool were for Northern Irish golfers are trying to win the

:07:39. > :07:45.sport's biggest tournaments. One man has already done that. Darren Clarke

:07:46. > :07:48.was The Open champion in 2011. Graeme Mcdowell arrives here in fine

:07:49. > :07:52.form of fresh from his French Open triumph. Rory McIlroy will have been

:07:53. > :07:57.a little frustrated with his performance at the Scottish open

:07:58. > :08:02.after breaking the course record in round one. He is still playing very

:08:03. > :08:04.well, as is Michael Holley. I will be reporting all this week for BBC

:08:05. > :08:19.newsline. Not a great start of the week,

:08:20. > :08:22.particularly if you are off a summer holidays. Dry weather in the

:08:23. > :08:27.forecast for tomorrow and later this week. A couple of light showers

:08:28. > :08:30.around tonight, otherwise dry, cooler and fresher compare to recent

:08:31. > :08:36.nights. Temperatures down to eight or 9 degrees in the countryside.

:08:37. > :08:40.Tomorrow we are looking at a cool start, but also a drier day.

:08:41. > :08:45.Brighter too with some sunshine around and light winds.

:08:46. > :08:47.Brighter too with some sunshine be a couple of light showers through

:08:48. > :08:51.the morning. Not completely dry everywhere but a good part of the

:08:52. > :08:56.day will be dry. Down south, it will be dry too for the best of the

:08:57. > :08:59.Sunshine -- with the best of the sunshine in the East. Temperatures

:09:00. > :09:02.in London in sunshine in the East. Temperatures

:09:03. > :09:05.very nice weather to come for north-east Scotland. Late in the

:09:06. > :09:08.afternoon, it will cloud north-east Scotland. Late in the

:09:09. > :09:12.west coast of Ireland and will be some drain and rental -- rain and

:09:13. > :09:16.drizzle. Rain coming our way tomorrow night but for much of the

:09:17. > :09:18.afternoon, dry with some sunshine, light winds and temperatures up to

:09:19. > :09:22.19 or 20 degrees. Rain edges light winds and temperatures up to

:09:23. > :09:27.the West tomorrow evening, giving us a wet night on Tuesday. Some of that

:09:28. > :09:31.rain lingering on Wednesday but it should turn brighter, more showery

:09:32. > :09:35.through the day. Some are more she met, warmer weather edging in on

:09:36. > :09:39.Wednesday. That's a sign of what is to come through Thursday and Friday.

:09:40. > :09:42.Temperatures in the low to mid 20s. Plenty of fine weather on Thursday
