:00:08. > :00:11.The BBC has learned that a man charged with a number

:00:12. > :00:14.of sexual assaults at a County Armagh medical practice is a GP.

:00:15. > :00:16.The charges stretch over a number of years.

:00:17. > :00:39.Here's our reporter in the South East Gordon Adair.

:00:40. > :01:02.The man at the centre of these is a doctor who worked here at this

:01:03. > :01:07.health centre for several years, until 2011 when the practice severed

:01:08. > :01:10.its ties with him. More recently, he has been working in Portadown.

:01:11. > :01:12.Police say he has been charged with sexual assault, following a number

:01:13. > :01:14.of complaints. The alleged incidents all happened here, in the health

:01:15. > :01:17.centre, between 2009 at 2011, as is normal practice. A file has now been

:01:18. > :01:26.prepared and sent to the Public prosecution service. The doctor will

:01:27. > :01:29.appear as a court our marquee next month. Police say this is an ongoing

:01:30. > :01:31.enquiry. They want anyone who has relevant information to come forward

:01:32. > :01:33.and contact detectives using the nonemergency 101 number.

:01:34. > :01:36.A 21-year-old Dungannon woman jailed for drug smuggling in Peru is to

:01:37. > :01:39.serve the rest of her sentence at Hydebank Wood prison in Belfast.

:01:40. > :01:41.Mikayla McCollum and her Scottish friend were jailed

:01:42. > :01:43.for six years after cocaine was found in their luggage.

:01:44. > :01:45.The transfer should take place within months.

:01:46. > :01:49.Last year, these women, aged 20, were arrested at Lima airport.

:01:50. > :01:54.Peruvian police said they were carrying 11 kilograms of cocaine,

:01:55. > :01:59.his and in food packets, with ?1.5 million. Initially, they said they

:02:00. > :02:03.had been coerced by an armed gang. At their trial in December, the

:02:04. > :02:06.women pleaded guilty to drug smuggling offences under the given

:02:07. > :02:11.reduced sentences of six years and eight months in prison. They were

:02:12. > :02:15.later moved to this prison, where European prisoners are often kept

:02:16. > :02:21.and where they complained of unsafe conditions. Melissa Reid has applied

:02:22. > :02:26.to be transferred to a jail in Scotland. The Kayla McCullen had

:02:27. > :02:30.been travelling on an Irish passport and now the Irish Department of

:02:31. > :02:34.foreign affairs says the Peruvian authorities have approved her

:02:35. > :02:40.transfer to Northern Ireland. Some paperwork and protocols have yet to

:02:41. > :02:47.be completed in the UK. She's most likely to be moved to this prison

:02:48. > :02:51.south Belfast. She has been in custody in Peru for a year since her

:02:52. > :02:53.initial arrest. The process of PIP bringing her back here to complete

:02:54. > :02:56.his sentence could still take several months.

:02:57. > :02:59.Ards Borough Council has accepted an offer of close to one million

:03:00. > :03:02.pounds from the Executive to keep open and redevelop the

:03:03. > :03:06.The facility has had serious financial problems

:03:07. > :03:10.Approval will also be needed from the new North Down and Ards District

:03:11. > :03:21.This evening's meeting also agreed that a specialist contractor should

:03:22. > :03:24.be appointed to help rejuvenate the aquarium.

:03:25. > :03:25.Several hundred people have been taking part

:03:26. > :03:28.in an inter-denominational peace vigil at Belfast City Hall.

:03:29. > :03:30.Representatives from all religions prayed for peace in the middle

:03:31. > :03:40.The rally, which was attended by councillors

:03:41. > :03:46.from across the political divide was organised by the Lord Mayor.

:03:47. > :03:53.I am very pleased with the turnout and the way the event went. It was

:03:54. > :03:56.very dignified and inclusive. This was about giving space and

:03:57. > :04:00.opportunity for people to come together, to stand in solidarity

:04:01. > :04:04.with all those who are suffering and pray for peace. We know from our own

:04:05. > :04:05.past the importance of peace vigils and that they are a good way of

:04:06. > :04:08.bringing people together. Angry and deeply frustrated,

:04:09. > :04:11.that's how an MLA is describing people who were affected

:04:12. > :04:13.by flash flooding in Counties Tyrone It's claimed there was a lack

:04:14. > :04:16.of emergency co-ordination between the Roads Service, Rivers Agency and

:04:17. > :04:40.NI Water when water levels rose. The heavy and thundery downpours

:04:41. > :04:46.moved north during Tuesday evening. So much rain fell in such a small

:04:47. > :04:48.amount of time, the drains were overwhelmed and roads, homes and

:04:49. > :04:57.businesses felt the full force of nature.

:04:58. > :04:59.businesses felt the full force of not seen before. It stopped after

:05:00. > :05:02.three quarters of an hour for 15 minutes. Then there was another

:05:03. > :05:09.downpour which lasted for half an hour. The emergency services were

:05:10. > :05:13.called. Up to half a metre or 18 inches fell in some places. Sandbags

:05:14. > :05:20.were given out but for some it was too late. I looked out and started

:05:21. > :05:28.to panic. I thought, not again. The water was coming at us nonstop. Como

:05:29. > :05:40.was one of the first to see the flooding. -- Omagh. The Fire Service

:05:41. > :05:46.rescue to women. There was no road service presence here, no NI water

:05:47. > :05:49.presence. There was no reason for all those agencies not being here

:05:50. > :05:54.last night. The Fire Service themselves immediately reported it

:05:55. > :06:05.and it was for those agencies to follow up on that. All three said

:06:06. > :06:09.they did respond to calls. The Rivers agency says staff checked

:06:10. > :06:14.critical infrastructure last night and will continue to do so.

:06:15. > :06:18.Homeowners also fought a battle with the elements in this town, with the

:06:19. > :06:27.emergency services working at the scene. As the thunderstorms rumbled

:06:28. > :06:33.through the north in the Donegal, they caused the closure for several

:06:34. > :06:36.hours of this hospital's accident and emergency department has water

:06:37. > :06:40.swamped the grounds. The hospital had only just fully returned to

:06:41. > :06:44.normal after severe flooding destroyed 40% of the building in

:06:45. > :06:47.July last year. Today, as the cleanable oration got underway, the

:06:48. > :06:52.Department of the Environment announced that it will provide ?1000

:06:53. > :06:55.compensation for victims of the floods. Those affected should

:06:56. > :06:57.contact their local council for details.

:06:58. > :06:59.Cuts in the Stormont budget could mean street lights go out

:07:00. > :07:03.The warning comes from Roads Minister Danny Kennedy whose

:07:04. > :07:10.department is facing cuts of ?15 million.

:07:11. > :07:13.Mr Kennedy also denied claims from other political parties that

:07:14. > :07:19.he's exaggerating the extent of the problem.

:07:20. > :07:26.There is the unfortunate prospect that flights will not be repaired as

:07:27. > :07:31.quickly. There is the prospect that grass cutting will be impacted upon.

:07:32. > :07:34.Of environmental services such as emptying the girlies will be

:07:35. > :07:49.impacted upon. The owner of a accused

:07:50. > :07:51.of receiving over payments from the Housing Executive, has said his firm

:07:52. > :07:53.has been exonerated after it emerged Dixons was one of four contractors

:07:54. > :07:57.the housing minister Nelson McCausland said had benefited

:07:58. > :07:59.from overpayments amounting to It has since emerged the company

:08:00. > :08:08.was underpaid and will receive 470 company the saddest thing is we had

:08:09. > :08:28.to lay off a lot of men last year. Hello, good evening. Thankfully,

:08:29. > :08:34.tonight is warning free and it is looking a lot drier. Also, cool and

:08:35. > :08:36.fresh compared to recent nights. Temperatures could well dip into

:08:37. > :08:48.single figures in one or two spots. Temperatures could well dip into

:08:49. > :09:19.single figures in one There may even be a few pockets of Mr Fogg, given

:09:20. > :09:27.the ground is quite wet in places. That should disappear quite quickly.

:09:28. > :09:28.It will be a bright morning tomorrow. They will be a few showers

:09:29. > :09:28.around but most of them will come tomorrow afternoon and they will be

:09:29. > :09:29.lighter compared to recent days. I feel quite sunny with a lovely start

:09:30. > :09:30.to the day. The money will bring the best of the bright weather. It

:09:31. > :09:30.should stay dry across Northern Ireland until lunch time. High

:09:31. > :09:31.pressures dominating the weather across most of Britain and Ireland

:09:32. > :09:31.which means a lot fine weather. In Scotland, temperatures in the high

:09:32. > :09:34.teens. A handful of showers will pop up across the Republic of Ireland

:09:35. > :09:35.tomorrow afternoon and there will be a few showers moving across Northern

:09:36. > :09:37.Ireland tomorrow afternoon as well. But still quite a lot of triad

:09:38. > :09:41.bright weather. And most of the showers will be on the short lived

:09:42. > :09:45.side. Friday will be a fairly wet day. Not quite as warm either, due

:09:46. > :09:50.to there being less in the way of sunshine. Come the weekend, we will

:09:51. > :09:54.still see some sunshine at times but still the risk of some heavy showers

:09:55. > :09:56.with thunderstorms possible and perhaps some local disruption.
