:00:11. > :00:14.The most senior police officer in the city said that although

:00:15. > :00:17.the day wasn't over yet it was one of the most peaceful parading

:00:18. > :00:25.Here's our north-west reporter, Keiron Tourish.

:00:26. > :00:27.Around 35,000 people were here today for the largest

:00:40. > :00:43.In the first parade, local Apprentice Boys and Bands completed

:00:44. > :00:51.In keeping with tradition, there was a wreath laying ceremony

:00:52. > :00:56.in the Diamond to honour all war dead, significant in 2014

:00:57. > :01:08.as the loyal order remember the sacrifice of those who died

:01:09. > :01:10.After the religious service in St Columb's

:01:11. > :01:13.Cathedral, there was a re-enactment of the Siege of Derry before

:01:14. > :01:36.We have over the years reached out to many communities to explain

:01:37. > :01:38.exactly what our association is about. The historical context and

:01:39. > :01:40.the importance of events like this. After the main parade made

:01:41. > :01:43.its way through the city the PSNI District Commander said that he had

:01:44. > :01:54.encountered no issues of concern. I can't remember a parade as

:01:55. > :02:01.peaceful as theirs. I have been doing this for 30 years and this is

:02:02. > :02:03.a good testimony to the city which has come out of a culture year which

:02:04. > :02:07.has left a huge legacy for the city. The PSNI praised everyone who had

:02:08. > :02:09.worked to make the day pass Police are investigating reports

:02:10. > :02:16.of a shot being fired in the Stiles Estate in Antrim

:02:17. > :02:19.in the early hours of this morning. It's believed it was fired in

:02:20. > :02:21.Devon Square after an internment bonfire was lit

:02:22. > :02:24.nearby just after one o'clock. Police, who have appealed for

:02:25. > :02:27.information, carried out a search No-one was injured and there were no

:02:28. > :02:36.reports of any damage to property. Thousands of people turned up

:02:37. > :02:38.to watch the Festival of Flight The crowds were treated to

:02:39. > :02:44.a display by the Red Arrows and also got the chance to see one of the

:02:45. > :03:01.most iconic planes in the sky - the The son brought the crowds to the

:03:02. > :03:07.County Down coast this afternoon and it brought the aeroplanes. We bring

:03:08. > :03:13.tourism everywhere, England and further afield. We had 125,000

:03:14. > :03:18.people last year. We have a spectacular day today and the sun is

:03:19. > :03:23.shining. While the display entertained above, people got up

:03:24. > :03:27.close with the planes on the ground. This imitation spitfire draws the

:03:28. > :03:34.children in and we take ?2 to allow them to take a photograph in the

:03:35. > :03:40.cockpit. There is nothing better than aeroplanes in the sunshine.

:03:41. > :03:46.Suits me. Fantastic. Great weather. But the star of the show was the

:03:47. > :03:51.Vulcan bomber. It has just had an engineering job on its wings to

:03:52. > :03:55.extend its flying life by two years. I can understand people saying that

:03:56. > :03:58.this might be the last appearance at Newcastle for this playing, but

:03:59. > :04:02.luckily, we got the modification done with great engineering

:04:03. > :04:06.including people of Northern Ireland who had donated to this aircraft.

:04:07. > :04:12.The crowds will be back next year. Ireland women's rugby team have

:04:13. > :04:14.reached the semifinals of the World Cup for the first time,

:04:15. > :04:17.after beating Kazakhstan in Paris Ireland, who won the match by 40-5,

:04:18. > :04:21.led 14-5 at half-time thanks to tries by new

:04:22. > :04:25.cap Sharon Lynch and this individual Four more tries

:04:26. > :04:30.in the final quarter of the match The Irish will face either France

:04:31. > :04:38.or Australia in the semis. And in GAA,

:04:39. > :04:41.Armagh have been in an all-Ireland They are one point behind. It is

:04:42. > :04:55.12-11 with one minute to go. Finally here's Barra Best with

:04:56. > :05:11.the weekend weather. Many of us will end on a bright, dry

:05:12. > :05:15.note. Showers will die away. Tomorrow will be much more

:05:16. > :05:20.unsettled. Especially for Eastern counties. It will be cloudy and we

:05:21. > :05:26.will have rain moving up from the south. That will mostly affect parts

:05:27. > :05:30.of Armagh and Antrim. There is uncertainty how far west of that

:05:31. > :05:37.rain will extend. We will keep an eye on it. But for the time being,

:05:38. > :05:42.western areas faring better. As for Britain, we have a series of weather

:05:43. > :05:45.warnings. We have what is left of Tropical Storm Fitow is pushing its

:05:46. > :05:57.way further north tomorrow bringing stronger winds. -- Tropical Storm

:05:58. > :06:03.Fitow birth. -- hurricane Bertha. The rain really in Eastern counties

:06:04. > :06:08.and to some parts of the Midlands tomorrow. The wet weather always

:06:09. > :06:12.most likely across Eastern counties tomorrow in Northern Ireland.

:06:13. > :06:16.Showers further west. Where we do see the best of the sunshine,

:06:17. > :06:21.temperatures will go up. Feeling more autumnal in Eastern counties.

:06:22. > :06:26.The westerly winds will pick-up and will stay with us on Monday. A flow

:06:27. > :06:31.of scattered showers. There will be bright and sunny weather as well.

:06:32. > :06:35.That's it for now. BBC Newsline will be back tomorrow. Goodbye.
