:00:13. > :00:21.welcome to BBC Newsline.Mourners

:00:22. > :00:24.at the state funeral of the former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds have heard

:00:25. > :00:28.Among those at the requiem mass in Dublin was former

:00:29. > :00:30.Prime Minister Sir John Major with whom he negotiated the

:00:31. > :00:41.Our Dublin correspondent Shane Harrison reports.

:00:42. > :00:50.A state funeral, a Requiem Mass, and a man remembered for contributing so

:00:51. > :00:56.much to the start of the peace process. Politicians from north and

:00:57. > :01:02.south were there and so to a former British Prime Minister. Of the many

:01:03. > :01:07.people here today, one is particularly special to the family

:01:08. > :01:13.and that is Mr John Major. I greeted him on the way in and thanked him

:01:14. > :01:19.for being here. His words were typical, we're else would I be?

:01:20. > :01:27.Albert Reynolds who famously asked, who is afraid of peace, was fondly

:01:28. > :01:34.recalled. Albert thought deeply about violence. He knew that piece

:01:35. > :01:42.is more than the mere absence of war. He also realise that piece

:01:43. > :01:49.cannot take root until the violence stops. That was his central message.

:01:50. > :01:57.It was also a family occasion. Few of us will ever change the course of

:01:58. > :02:04.history. But our collective efforts can make this a better place. How

:02:05. > :02:12.successful he was in his life is for others to judge. Two hours, it does

:02:13. > :02:19.not matter. He was just simply great. The former Taoiseach was

:02:20. > :02:24.buried with full military honours in the presence of his family.

:02:25. > :02:28.The DUP have called for funding to be removed from the Ardoyne Flah

:02:29. > :02:35.following a complaint about alleged hate speech and pro-IRA chanting.A

:02:36. > :02:37.singer with the band the Druids told last night's

:02:38. > :02:40.audience British troops should get together with their Orange comrades

:02:41. > :02:44.The police say they've received a complaint about the event, and that

:02:45. > :03:10.It's about time that, late. That constitutes hate speech. They were

:03:11. > :03:14.singing these songs in praise of the INA well another organisation was

:03:15. > :03:20.knee capping somebody. There are serious questions to be asked, what

:03:21. > :03:24.is put into young people's Mes? The people that organise the festival

:03:25. > :03:29.are people who certainly would not be in the position to support the

:03:30. > :03:35.sort of views which were expressed by this member of the band at this

:03:36. > :03:40.concert. Intolerance of any kind, weather it be Republican or a

:03:41. > :03:45.loyalist, should be rejected. When contacted tonight a member of the

:03:46. > :03:55.band said they had no comment to make.

:03:56. > :03:57.The police are continuing to question three people about

:03:58. > :04:00.a crash involving a car which was hijacked in Londonderry overnight.

:04:01. > :04:03.It began at Fountain Hill in the Waterside just before half past

:04:04. > :04:06.three when a group of people stopped a car and attacked the driver.

:04:07. > :04:08.The stolen car then crashed at Rosswater off the Limavady Road.

:04:09. > :04:11.Two men and a woman - all in their 20s - were arrested.

:04:12. > :04:14.Local film makers have been paying tribute to Lord

:04:15. > :04:17.The actor and Oscar winning director had a long association with

:04:18. > :04:19.Northern Ireland and was involved in several films made here.

:04:20. > :04:29.Long before his film career took off, Richard Attenborough was well

:04:30. > :04:34.acquainted with Northern Ireland. Based here with the IDF during the

:04:35. > :04:39.war, he learned about families while training for a reconnaissance work.

:04:40. > :04:48.He was an established star and director when Joel Gilbert cast him

:04:49. > :04:59.in a film. He was called the governor. And rightly so. The

:05:00. > :05:07.friends he had, the people he knew, he was a very special man to them,

:05:08. > :05:11.including to me. He was back in Northern Ireland in 2006 to direct a

:05:12. > :05:18.film starring Shirley Mick clean and Christopher Plummer. It was a film

:05:19. > :05:21.about a World War II bomber, the millionaire territory for a man who

:05:22. > :05:27.was formerly with the royal air force. To be working in the movies,

:05:28. > :05:34.to be allowed to express my feelings, my hopes and aspirations,

:05:35. > :05:41.in the movies and the cinema is wonderful. I would want to go on and

:05:42. > :05:42.on and still I just fell off the tree and disappeared.

:05:43. > :05:48.Internationally acclaimed for films like Gandhi, he helped bring

:05:49. > :05:51.Northern Ireland into the spotlight as a good place to make films. A

:05:52. > :05:54.valuable legacy. Graeme McDole has announced he will

:05:55. > :05:57.part company with Horizon Sports Management

:05:58. > :05:59.at the end of this season. McDole is to take charge

:06:00. > :06:01.of his own commercial interests. He thanked the agency, which he

:06:02. > :06:08.joined in 2007, for showing at the Barclays Fed Ex Playoff event

:06:09. > :06:11.in New Jersey last night. Rory McIlroy aiming

:06:12. > :06:21.for his fourth win in a row finished Now for the weather forecast. Good

:06:22. > :06:27.evening. We did not have great weather for the bank holiday. A damp

:06:28. > :06:32.and breezy start to leak. Things settle down in the middle of the

:06:33. > :06:37.week with dry weather the way. It is not expected to last, from Wednesday

:06:38. > :06:43.night things turn more unsettled. Still some patchy rain tonight,

:06:44. > :06:49.especially in the east. Many places will become dry and the breeze will

:06:50. > :06:58.ease down. Wheeled onto a lot of cloud which means it will be mild.

:06:59. > :07:04.-- we hold onto. Things will improve tomorrow and skies will brighten. It

:07:05. > :07:08.will be a cloudy start to the day. It is mainly dry across the Republic

:07:09. > :07:12.of Ireland and much of northern Britain, some decent sunshine for

:07:13. > :07:19.north-west England and up into Scotland. Rain across the southern

:07:20. > :07:26.half of Britain with the odd shower. Temperature is not too bad, 18

:07:27. > :07:30.degrees. Temperatures will be better tomorrow for Northern Ireland,

:07:31. > :07:36.getting up to 18 degrees. It will brighten up, initially in the East

:07:37. > :07:42.and then eventually brighter skies will extend to the West. Wednesday

:07:43. > :07:45.will also get off to a dry start. Late in the day it becomes cloudy

:07:46. > :07:54.and breezy. The rest of the week looks like it will stay showery.

:07:55. > :07:56.That's it for now. We will see you tomorrow morning at 6.25 in the

:07:57. > :08:01.morning. Have a very good night.
