:00:00. > :00:09.Carl Frampton has today been reflecting

:00:10. > :00:12.on his world title success at the weekend, Northern Ireland's first

:00:13. > :00:21.The big fight in the Titanic Quarter was one of the biggest sporting

:00:22. > :00:23.events to be staged in Belfast in recent years and boxing fans

:00:24. > :00:31.The first stop for the new world champion was Stormont.

:00:32. > :00:33.And the first question for the slightly bruised Belfast

:00:34. > :00:41.I am a bit sore, OK, but I am world champion.

:00:42. > :00:49.A dream of mine since I was a kid, so I am over the moon but very sore.

:00:50. > :00:54.It was given to him by the man he beat on Saturday

:00:55. > :01:04.He kindly lent it to me for a couple of weeks until I get mine.

:01:05. > :01:14.16,000 fans watched him win on Saturday night,

:01:15. > :01:23.so is there going to be another Frampton fight in Belfast soon?

:01:24. > :01:29.I would like to go to the US one day.

:01:30. > :01:34.Most of my fights, I want to be at Belfast.

:01:35. > :01:36.On the streets of North Belfast where he grew up,

:01:37. > :01:50.Not many people could walk down this road and everyone shake his hand.

:01:51. > :01:56.He has brought the whole country together, not just here.

:01:57. > :02:11.Talk about Rory Mcllroy, Carl Frampton is

:02:12. > :02:26.16,000 people from right across Belfast and beyond.

:02:27. > :02:32.Sitting together, singing together and in the end celebrating together.

:02:33. > :02:34.It seems everyone had a good time and the behaviour

:02:35. > :02:43.More importantly, a good night for the fans and Carl Frampton.

:02:44. > :02:46.It was a great night for Belfast and Northern Ireland.

:02:47. > :02:53.For all those involved, the hope is that there is much more to come.

:02:54. > :02:56.Earlier, Carl Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan was in the

:02:57. > :03:01.Stephen Watson asked him what the future held for Frampton now

:03:02. > :03:14.He has a mandatory defence which normally takes about a month and

:03:15. > :03:24.Then there is the opponent who wants to fight him again.

:03:25. > :03:32.Scott Quigg as well. A number of fabulous fights but we want him back

:03:33. > :03:37.in Belfast. We would like to do showcase ones in America, but the

:03:38. > :03:39.ones of significant importance, we want to have here.

:03:40. > :03:42.Cardinal Sean Brady has left the post of Primate of All Ireland,

:03:43. > :03:45.He had offered his resignation to Pope Francis last month

:03:46. > :03:50.From today, Eamon Martin is the new Archbishop of Armagh.

:03:51. > :04:03.After 18 years at the head of the Irish Catholic Church, Cardinal Sean

:04:04. > :04:07.Brady stood down today, having tendered his resignation to the Pope

:04:08. > :04:13.as he approached his 75th birthday. That was in compliance with church

:04:14. > :04:15.rules. In 2010, Cardinal Brady said he considered stepping down after

:04:16. > :04:22.his role in a clerical abuse cover-up was exposed. As a younger

:04:23. > :04:27.man, yet sworn to alter boys to secrecy as part of church

:04:28. > :04:33.investigation into sexual abuse by paedophile Brendan Smith. You did

:04:34. > :04:39.not protect them. He said he decided to stay on as what he described as a

:04:40. > :04:44.wounded healer. His critics said he should have gone years ago. He

:04:45. > :04:51.should have gone in 2010. Remaining on as a wounded healer rubbed salt

:04:52. > :04:56.in the wounds of survivors. And might have had some effect if he had

:04:57. > :05:01.gone 2010. Now it is meaningless. Cardinal Brady said goodbye to

:05:02. > :05:05.parishioners in Armagh today and again apologise for his

:05:06. > :05:13.shortcomings. I also need to say sorry and to ask forgiveness. And I

:05:14. > :05:16.do so again today. The new man in charge had been appointed as

:05:17. > :05:23.Cardinal Brady's successor some time ago. He said the days of an

:05:24. > :05:28.authoritarian cha-cha over. I do not want to give any sense that we are

:05:29. > :05:34.looking to rebuild a child follow the sick church that rules Ireland.

:05:35. > :05:40.-- rebuild any church that rules Ireland. He said his priority day

:05:41. > :05:42.would be to bring people together in the service of God. -- priority

:05:43. > :05:43.now. An update now on the scathing

:05:44. > :05:46.criticism of the Health Minister by Following a court ruling on gay men

:05:47. > :05:52.giving blood, Edwin Poots suggested he wouldn't get a fair hearing

:05:53. > :05:55.if he appealed the decision. Sir Declan Morgan described those

:05:56. > :05:57.comments as "detrimental to Today, the Deputy First Minister

:05:58. > :06:01.Martin McGuinness today said he Our Home Affairs Correspondent

:06:02. > :06:07.Vincent Kearney reports. Edwin Poots said the judge was wrong

:06:08. > :06:11.when he ruled last November that a ban on gay men giving blood

:06:12. > :06:15.in Northern Ireland was irrational. He then went further

:06:16. > :06:17.and questioned the merits of lodging Do I believe I would get fairness

:06:18. > :06:29.in the Court of Appeal? Or would it be a circling

:06:30. > :06:31.of the wagons? That prompted the Lord Chief Justice

:06:32. > :06:42.to write to ministers. He described the comments as

:06:43. > :06:45.detrimental to the rule of law. To mark the new legal term

:06:46. > :06:57.on Friday, the Lord Chief Justice said he had no option

:06:58. > :07:03.but to send a letter of complaint. I have no wish to become

:07:04. > :07:06.embroiled in an unhelpful debate. I would have been failing

:07:07. > :07:09.in my duty if I had not written to the ministers to express concern

:07:10. > :07:12.over a lack of political regard for independent judicial

:07:13. > :07:13.decision-making. He highlighted the fact he sent

:07:14. > :07:16.the letter eight months ago The Deputy First Minister blamed

:07:17. > :07:26.the delay today on Peter Robinson. It is no secret to anybody in this

:07:27. > :07:29.House that the First Minister and I have a different view of

:07:30. > :07:36.the remarks made by the minister. But also by others

:07:37. > :07:39.in the last couple of days. My sympathy is totally with Sir

:07:40. > :07:44.Declan Morgan and I think the sooner Edwin Poots was not available

:07:45. > :07:55.for comment. A statement issued

:07:56. > :07:57.by the DUP does not mention the Health Minister's comments but says

:07:58. > :08:00.Martin McGuinness was wrong to blame Peter Robinson for the absence of a

:08:01. > :08:03.response to the Lord Chief Justice. The DUP says the First Minister

:08:04. > :08:05.drafted a reply in February indicating support

:08:06. > :08:07.for the independence And the importance that no

:08:08. > :08:12.minister should say anything that would undermine that

:08:13. > :08:17.fundamental principle. He says that draft was sent through

:08:18. > :08:21.the office of the Deputy First Minister

:08:22. > :08:25.and he has been willing to sign it. A cannabis factory has been

:08:26. > :08:28.discovered in south Belfast. It was found during police

:08:29. > :08:31.searches of a house in the Ventry It's unclear yet how much

:08:32. > :08:39.cannabis was in the property. Police are appealing to

:08:40. > :08:42.the community to report any Now with the weather forecast

:08:43. > :08:56.here's Angie Philips. High pressure is in charge again.

:08:57. > :09:02.That means unsettled weather will stay with us all week. If you're

:09:03. > :09:04.looking for some rain, you will be disappointed. Not much of it at all

:09:05. > :09:09.in the forecast and it is looking dry. Cloud will always be an issue

:09:10. > :09:12.but we will see some price bills coming through and it will be coming

:09:13. > :09:18.a little bit warmer from mid week onwards as well. Coming back to

:09:19. > :09:22.tonight, we have those light northerly winds. Still some cloud

:09:23. > :09:26.but clear spells will develop. It could get some misty patches.

:09:27. > :09:29.Temperatures holding around eight or nine Celsius but as with the last

:09:30. > :09:33.couple of nights, some areas could get close enough to freezing to get

:09:34. > :09:41.some grass frost. Tomorrow, Friday coming up. Variable and often large

:09:42. > :09:48.amounts of Clyde. -- cloud coming up. It looks like a fairly decent

:09:49. > :09:53.picture across many parts of Britain and Ireland tomorrow. Again, some

:09:54. > :09:57.places will have a fair amount of cloud and others will have sunshine.

:09:58. > :10:02.The best of the sunshine is in the Republic of Ireland and the South of

:10:03. > :10:07.England. Temperatures in the low 20s. Feeling pleasant, too, given

:10:08. > :10:11.date is not much for a breeze. For Northern Ireland, not a bad

:10:12. > :10:15.afternoon at all. Dry and a fair amount of Clyde. This should be some

:10:16. > :10:20.bright spells and temperatures of 18 Celsius. Through of the week,

:10:21. > :10:25.southeasterly winds bring temperatures up. It is still mainly

:10:26. > :10:31.dry and there will be sunny spells. We are back at 6:25am ginning BBC

:10:32. > :10:32.Breakfast. Don't forget, we are on Facebook and Twitter. Good
