:00:00. > :00:09.The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, has had talks

:00:10. > :00:12.in Belfast with the First and Deputy First Ministers to try to help the

:00:13. > :00:16.Earlier, Mr Kenny met the Prime Minister in Downing Street and said

:00:17. > :00:19.afterwards he thought a deal could be concluded by the end of the week.

:00:20. > :01:00.Here's our Political Editor, Mark Devenport.

:01:01. > :01:04.Enda Kenny travel to London to make the case for Britain staying in the

:01:05. > :01:27.European Union. Business leaders that TDK would

:01:28. > :01:33.I would be hopeful that having had briefings from the Minister of

:01:34. > :01:39.foreign affairs and discussions that they might be able to be concluded

:01:40. > :01:42.this week. Tonight, the Taoiseach met the First and Deputy First

:01:43. > :01:46.Ministers behind closed doors in Belfast. Afterwards, Martin

:01:47. > :01:50.McGuinness give this assessment. We all recognise that this is a very

:01:51. > :01:56.complex and wide-ranging negotiation, which is at a critical

:01:57. > :02:01.stage. We are not there yet, but I think if there is enough goodwill to

:02:02. > :02:06.push this over the line, then we certainly are very determined and

:02:07. > :02:12.Peter Robinson is determined also, and the other party leaders, to want

:02:13. > :02:16.to see a breakthrough. The day ended with plenty of optimism about the

:02:17. > :02:19.deal, but precious little detail about what any final agreement might

:02:20. > :02:22.The police are investigating a possible link between

:02:23. > :02:24.an oil tank fire in Newcastle and previous similar incidents.

:02:25. > :02:26.Overnight, four flats were badly damaged as

:02:27. > :02:46.As the embers died down, the search is underway for clues as to why the

:02:47. > :02:51.blaze broke out. The police and Fire Service think the blaze was started

:02:52. > :02:55.deliberately. They are investigating a link between this and several

:02:56. > :02:59.other fires in the area, some as far back as the summer. The suspicions

:03:00. > :03:05.are, when we see the oil tank has been set on fire. Up to the last six

:03:06. > :03:09.in eight weeks we have been working with the police and the Housing

:03:10. > :03:15.executive in this area and we have had several incidents of this type.

:03:16. > :03:19.We will wait and see what our investigations proved. No one was

:03:20. > :03:22.injured but the good of been a different outcome. 50 firefighters

:03:23. > :03:29.were called to the locker flats morning. The fire spread to four of

:03:30. > :03:33.the properties. A number of the residents were evacuated and remove

:03:34. > :03:38.the temporary accommodation in Newcastle town centre. Some were

:03:39. > :03:45.already -- some have already been allowed to return. I was shocked,

:03:46. > :03:49.scared. Did not know what was going to happen. We did not know how the

:03:50. > :03:53.fire was going to spread. They needed to get more fire engines down

:03:54. > :03:58.to the estate to give it under control. It was pretty frightening.

:03:59. > :04:02.Housing Executive contractors. The work to repair the damage and make

:04:03. > :04:07.the flats say. Many of the elderly residents will not be able to return

:04:08. > :04:11.The Ulster rugby team has been criticised by some unionist

:04:12. > :04:13.politicians for not wearing a poppy on their jerseys during a match

:04:14. > :04:17.The club say they pay their respects to the victims

:04:18. > :04:20.of the wars in a different way, by holding a memorial service

:04:21. > :04:38.Before Ulster's game in Wales yesterday there was an act of

:04:39. > :04:44.remembrance. Ulster's opponents had a poppy on, the Ulster team did not.

:04:45. > :04:52.Some unionist politicians are angry about what happened. I am appalled.

:04:53. > :04:56.I regard it as a calculated snub to Remembrance Day. They choose to play

:04:57. > :05:01.on Remembrance Sunday, yet they chose, what looks like a corporate

:05:02. > :05:06.decision, to not have a poppy, as their opponents had come on their

:05:07. > :05:11.shirt. Ulster Rugby have defended their actions. In a statement they

:05:12. > :05:15.pointed out that they have this permanent war memorial as port at

:05:16. > :05:19.their stadium. In fact, the new Kingspan Stadium was built around it

:05:20. > :05:24.and every year at the players, management and coaches take part in

:05:25. > :05:29.a remembrance service here. To top English rugby teams played

:05:30. > :05:33.yesterday, Gloucester and wasps, they too had an act of remembrance

:05:34. > :05:36.but did not wear poppies. A former armoured from says they should not

:05:37. > :05:43.be criticised, neither should Ulster. It is unfair. Ulster Rugby

:05:44. > :05:49.did have a remembrance service, they did have a minute's silence before

:05:50. > :05:56.the match. Wearing a poppy is choice. People need to have choice

:05:57. > :06:01.if they want to wear one or not. Ulster making headlines on and off

:06:02. > :06:05.the pitch. A win here in Newport yesterday gave them their first away

:06:06. > :06:09.The Ulster Museum has received six complaints about a painting which,

:06:10. > :06:11.it's claimed, demonises the Orange Order.

:06:12. > :06:13.Some unionist politicians have asked for the removal

:06:14. > :06:15.of 'Christian Flautists Outside St Patrick's', which was painted

:06:16. > :06:22.Instead, the museum has put up a warning sign.

:06:23. > :06:25.All six new complaints have been made in the last week.

:06:26. > :06:28.A delegation from the DUP, who met staff of the museum today,

:06:29. > :06:32.say they are disappointed the painting will remain on show.

:06:33. > :06:35.The success of the Northern Ireland football team was marked

:06:36. > :06:37.at a reception in Belfast City Hall, hosted by the Lord Mayor,

:06:38. > :06:44.This Friday, they have a friendly against Latvia as they start

:06:45. > :06:54.Stephen Watson spoke to the manager tonight.

:06:55. > :07:00.The Northern Ireland manager, Michael O'Neill, and his team are

:07:01. > :07:06.guest of honour at here tonight. Coming to an occasion like this, as

:07:07. > :07:10.it start to sink in, what you have achieved? It probably does. After

:07:11. > :07:14.the game against Greece we had to leave very quickly the next morning

:07:15. > :07:19.to go to Finland and all of our preparation was based around needing

:07:20. > :07:23.something in Finland. It was very important, the players were focused

:07:24. > :07:28.to try to win the group. They probably have not had time to enjoy

:07:29. > :07:32.it, really, as much as the could of done. This is the first time back in

:07:33. > :07:37.Northern Ireland since the Greece game. It does bring it home how much

:07:38. > :07:40.it means to everyone when you see the reaction of everybody in the

:07:41. > :07:46.room the night. They played the video we put together and it focuses

:07:47. > :07:51.on the whole campaign. It was nice to see that again, as well. The next

:07:52. > :07:55.big date is the draw. You must be looking forward to finding out who

:07:56. > :08:01.you will be playing. Yes, it will be exciting again. We are looking at

:08:02. > :08:08.training bases in France. Until the draw, it will ring at all to life,

:08:09. > :08:11.really, we can look at the opposition more closely. We will

:08:12. > :08:16.look at some friendly games. The excitement will build from then on

:08:17. > :08:18.in. Just a reminder, Friday night's game against Latvia is live on BBC

:08:19. > :08:33.Two Northern Ireland. We have some lively weather in the

:08:34. > :08:36.forecast. We will see some strong winds through the coming week. There

:08:37. > :08:41.will be occasional spells a brain. The most part, the temperature shall

:08:42. > :08:48.be marked with a time of year, but Friday cold. It only briefly as

:08:49. > :08:53.becomes mild again on Saturday. Overnight, the winds will ease but

:08:54. > :08:57.it will still be breezy. There will be spells of rain and drizzle moving

:08:58. > :09:01.through. And mild night with temperatures sitting at around 12 or

:09:02. > :09:07.13 degrees. For tomorrow, more rain in the forecast. Not as windy as

:09:08. > :09:11.today but the breeze is still quite noteworthy. Initially some dry

:09:12. > :09:17.weather across the south and east with most of the rain for northern

:09:18. > :09:24.and western areas. The rain is also extending across the Republic of

:09:25. > :09:27.Ireland's, and the central and western Scotland. The north-east of

:09:28. > :09:33.Scotland will say that the more fresh. Cloudy and damp across

:09:34. > :09:40.Wales, and the South West of England. For many, it is a mild day.

:09:41. > :09:44.That includes us. Temperatures tomorrow afternoon and possibly up

:09:45. > :09:49.to 70 degrees and the rain will be clearing the rain will be clearing

:09:50. > :09:53.away dry end to give a more dry enter states, perhaps are quieter

:09:54. > :09:54.day of the week, but it turns wet and windy on Thursday, colour on

:09:55. > :09:56.Friday. Our next BBC Newsline is at 6.25am

:09:57. > :09:59.during Breakfast here on BBC One. You can also keep updated with
