:00:09. > :00:11.Security at Northern Ireland's sea and airports has been stepped up

:00:12. > :00:16.129 people died and hundreds more were injured

:00:17. > :00:20.as gunmen and suicide bombers targeted restaurants, a concert hall

:00:21. > :00:31.One Irishman, David Nolan was shot in

:00:32. > :00:34.the attack at the Bataclan concert hall - his girlfriend Katie Healy

:00:35. > :00:47.We're not sure exactly what point David was shot. He threw himself on

:00:48. > :00:54.top of me twice, both times he fell and covered me as best he could. It

:00:55. > :01:00.became a quiet and you could hear everybody moaning. Single shots

:01:01. > :01:07.started to fire and we realised that the gunmen were walking around

:01:08. > :01:14.killing everyone. We saw the threat of a gunman walked past us and we

:01:15. > :01:19.said our goodbyes as we realised what would happen to us. Someone

:01:20. > :01:31.opened a door somewhere and we just ran.

:01:32. > :01:37.Everyone in Paris know someone affected by this shootings.

:01:38. > :01:47.89 people were killed at the rock concert. Tom is originally from

:01:48. > :01:52.Bangor. He works as a photographer. He was not at the gig. His friend

:01:53. > :01:58.was shot but somehow survived. As grim as it is, it he crawled over

:01:59. > :02:04.dead bodies that surrounded him. He managed to get out into the street

:02:05. > :02:05.and screamed for help. He was the first to be hospitalised and one of

:02:06. > :02:30.the first to raise the alarm. What will happen with security?

:02:31. > :02:34.Wannabe metal detectors in bars? We will see how it goes but for now,

:02:35. > :02:42.there is a lot of hope that we can get back to normality.

:02:43. > :02:45.What shocked people was the random nature of the shootings.

:02:46. > :02:47.An ordinary restaurant on an ordinary street but on Friday

:02:48. > :02:52.Across Paris people came together for a minute's silence,

:02:53. > :02:56.It is a cosmopolitan city with people from all over the world,

:02:57. > :03:00.but you don't have to stray too far to see a familiar accent.

:03:01. > :03:10.I'm from East Belfast and I have lived in Paris for 21 years.

:03:11. > :03:14.When the news broke, my family from Belfast were saying,

:03:15. > :03:20.My first feeling was relieved that my son Sam was out of town

:03:21. > :03:29.and my daughter was safe on the sofa beside me.

:03:30. > :03:32.Also living in Belfast is Father Aidan Troy, who used to be

:03:33. > :03:37.Giving his parishioners hope that this time isn't easy.

:03:38. > :03:40.I have never found it is difficult to get away at the end of mass.

:03:41. > :03:45.People just wanted to talk because a lot of them were going

:03:46. > :03:51.back to lock the door inside and I think that is sad.

:03:52. > :03:54.Life goes on but normality here is still some way.

:03:55. > :04:01.It's been a worrying if not traumatic time for

:04:02. > :04:04.so many with family or friends in Paris on Friday night.

:04:05. > :04:07.People from Northern Ireland have returned home with tales of

:04:08. > :04:12.As Mervyn Jess reports it's been a day when people across Europe

:04:13. > :04:26.Stallholders from France stood along with customers at Belfast's

:04:27. > :04:30.Christmas market this morning for a moment of silence. As they

:04:31. > :04:33.remembered those who died and were injured, so did one local man who

:04:34. > :04:38.escaped the carnage on Friday night in Paris. You did not know what you

:04:39. > :04:47.were running two or running from. Then these two ladies pulled me into

:04:48. > :04:50.this entry with a large steel door. I went in there and there were 67 of

:04:51. > :05:02.us there and they could see out little hatch. One of them said there

:05:03. > :05:04.was a gunman on the list. My father is in Paris but he is all right. We

:05:05. > :05:12.feel very sad. It is is in Paris but he is all right. We

:05:13. > :05:13.time for people. It is French restaurant in Belfast, is pretty man

:05:14. > :05:21.spoke of his friend, restaurant in Belfast, is pretty man

:05:22. > :05:25.the hall. Two of them were shot and one was missing. The day after, they

:05:26. > :05:32.recognised one was missing. The day after, they

:05:33. > :05:37.silence today one was missing. The day after, they

:05:38. > :05:45.workplaces, and the streets and by politicians at Stormont. Meanwhile,

:05:46. > :05:51.people returning from Paris had their own stories to tell. Me and a

:05:52. > :05:57.few friends were out for a few drinks. We got one message saying

:05:58. > :05:59.something had happened. We thought there were some fight of the

:06:00. > :06:04.football and the next event happened. Luckily we had a few

:06:05. > :06:08.friends and we stayed at the house for the night. It was reported on

:06:09. > :06:10.the news here quite quickly so before we heard about it, we were

:06:11. > :06:18.getting calls and messages from family at home, worried for our

:06:19. > :06:24.safety. The first Muslims are quick to condemn the attacks in France.

:06:25. > :06:27.Those perpetrators and criminals are not representing us. None of us

:06:28. > :06:34.would condone or agree with such terrorism. People of all ages and

:06:35. > :06:39.all walks of life have been signing books of condolence. The Paris

:06:40. > :06:44.attacks and the losses inflicted have united people here and around

:06:45. > :06:46.the world in condemnation of what happened.

:06:47. > :06:49.Other news now and a man in his 80s has died after a crash

:06:50. > :06:53.It happened on a slip road at the Granville Industrial Estate.

:06:54. > :06:56.The police say they are investigating the circumstances.

:06:57. > :06:59.The Secretary of State has said a deal must be

:07:00. > :07:03.Theresa Villiers said it was make your mind up time.

:07:04. > :07:05.The talks between the five main parties and

:07:06. > :07:09.the British and Irish governments have lasted for ten weeks.

:07:10. > :07:11.Football - the Republic of Ireland are through

:07:12. > :07:14.to the Euro 2016 finals in France next summer and join Northern

:07:15. > :07:19.In Dublin tonight Martin O'Neill's team beat Bosnia 2-0

:07:20. > :07:34.Level at 1-1 after the first leg, the Republic of Ireland knew a

:07:35. > :07:38.scoreless draw or big treat tonight in Dublin would be enough to see

:07:39. > :07:43.them through to next summer 's finals. Mar Nonu's men did it in

:07:44. > :07:48.style. Jonathan Walters who was suspended for the first encounter

:07:49. > :07:56.was the coolest man in the stadium and he stepped up to score a penalty

:07:57. > :08:04.midway through the first half. It was Walters again who scored to send

:08:05. > :08:10.Martin O'Neill's men three. They are going to France next summer and it

:08:11. > :08:13.will be the first time ever that Northern Ireland and the Republic of

:08:14. > :08:20.Ireland will play in is jumping ship.

:08:21. > :08:37.The weather is next. We had quite a bit of rain through

:08:38. > :08:41.the weekend and flooding in places. I am afraid to say there is more

:08:42. > :08:45.rain in the forecast through this coming week. At least today was a

:08:46. > :08:49.little drier and apart from a few showers towards the north, most

:08:50. > :08:54.places will stay dry overnight. Potentially quite cold in some parts

:08:55. > :08:57.of the countryside. Low enough for a touch of ground frost. Into

:08:58. > :09:01.tomorrow, the next area of low pressure is coming in. This is the

:09:02. > :09:08.second named storm of the season which will bring disruptive winds.

:09:09. > :09:13.In Northern Ireland, the wind is not quite as strong but bringing rain

:09:14. > :09:18.in. First thing in the morning, deceptively dry to begin with, maybe

:09:19. > :09:21.even some brightness, but the cloud will be sickening. Spells of rain

:09:22. > :09:25.already pushing across the Republic of Ireland with those stormy winds

:09:26. > :09:31.so pushing in across England and Wales. Across those parts of the

:09:32. > :09:38.cell, we could be seeing winds of 70 miles an hour. A little bit drier

:09:39. > :09:43.and chillier in northern Scotland. For Northern Ireland, also chilly

:09:44. > :09:48.day. The rain is likely to be quite persistent and heavy at times. It is

:09:49. > :09:52.on for Match of the Day and temperatures only around 7 degrees.

:09:53. > :09:56.It will feel colder than that. As we go through the rest of the week,

:09:57. > :10:01.still quite a changeable look to the weather. Is cold on Wednesday and

:10:02. > :10:01.Thursday before cold weather returns on Friday.

:10:02. > :10:04.weather. Is cold on Wednesday and Thursday before cold weather returns

:10:05. > :10:08.on Friday. Next BBC Newsline is it 6:25 in the

:10:09. > :10:11.morning. Until tomorrow, good night.
