:01:05. > :01:12.The police are not treating it as suspicious.

:01:13. > :01:20.It is terrible, especially at this time of the year. This is the second

:01:21. > :01:27.Fidelity in the area within the last month so obviously when people are

:01:28. > :01:31.hearing the news this morning, another death by fire, people are

:01:32. > :01:32.devastated. A 46-year-old man is due to appear

:01:33. > :01:35.in court tomorrow charged in connection with a gun attack

:01:36. > :01:38.on a police patrol in north Belfast. Shots were fired at Heath Lodge

:01:39. > :01:42.Close on Christmas Day. An inspection of a nursing home

:01:43. > :01:47.near south Belfast has found that residents' safety has been

:01:48. > :01:49.at risk, and in some cases The Kingsway Care home in Dunmurry

:01:50. > :01:56.was inspected by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority

:03:05. > :03:12.and Rescue is providing cover over the Christmas break onboard

:03:13. > :03:15.the Topaz Responder. He's working alongside volunteers

:03:16. > :03:17.from the Emergency Response Rescue The vessel's crew is searching

:03:18. > :03:22.for people making the treacherous As we look ahead to 2016 there's no

:03:23. > :03:30.a sign of a change in fortune of dairy farmers who have seen

:03:31. > :03:33.milk prices plummeting. Our Agriculture and

:03:34. > :03:49.Environment Correspondent, I first met David Ervine and his

:03:50. > :03:54.father on the farm in July. They were milking 140 head of cattle and

:03:55. > :03:58.taking two salaries from enterprise at a time when the income was down

:03:59. > :04:02.by more than a third. As William explained to me then, things were

:04:03. > :04:11.tight and paying the bills was a balancing act. It adds up very

:04:12. > :04:17.quickly to a very difficult position financially. The Winter fair is a

:04:18. > :04:22.big event in the farming calendar. It is a time for people to

:04:23. > :04:25.congregate and compare notes. There will have been little festive cheer

:04:26. > :04:30.among these farming families and was here that I met him Ervine again to

:04:31. > :04:39.ask how the intervening five months had gone. It has really been more of

:04:40. > :04:42.the same. The price remains low, a long way below production costs so

:04:43. > :04:48.life has gotten no summer. Long-term evictions are still quite good but

:04:49. > :04:52.this month bills and the next six months bills have to be paid. That

:04:53. > :04:56.is the problem. Traditionally dairy farmers have been prepared to ride

:04:57. > :05:00.the wave, making money when the price was up, suffering the loss

:05:01. > :05:05.when it dropped but the trough is longer and deeper than before and it

:05:06. > :05:08.has sparked a debate about how farmers are paid for their milk.

:05:09. > :05:12.Alternatives include an insurance scheme which kicks in to shore up

:05:13. > :05:16.the price and fixed term contracts with dairies which farmers can use

:05:17. > :05:19.to log in at least some of their milk. It's all about taking

:05:20. > :05:25.volatility out of the system. We have said, this is our milk price

:05:26. > :05:29.for the last quarter of the year, so farmers at least have some form of

:05:30. > :05:33.visibility and what their milk cheque will be for the last quarter

:05:34. > :05:38.of the year. They may be happy with what that is but at least they know

:05:39. > :05:42.what it is. There are tentative signs of an improvement. Countries

:05:43. > :05:47.that import dairy produce are showing interest again, countries

:05:48. > :05:50.that produce it are cutting back on supply. It is now just a question of

:05:51. > :05:52.how long it takes the market to balance out.

:05:53. > :05:59.Barra Best has the latest weather forecast.

:06:00. > :06:04.We still have a good bit of rain at the but it will clear as we go

:06:05. > :06:10.through the night, turning calm, nice and dry temperatures could fall

:06:11. > :06:16.close to freezing. Tomorrow, some good news. To begin with, a fine,

:06:17. > :06:20.dry start. By the end of it, there will be much stormy conditions

:06:21. > :06:26.moving in and that is because we have stormed Frank crushing in and

:06:27. > :06:30.bringing with it, strong winds and a lot of rain tomorrow evening. Before

:06:31. > :06:33.then we have a lot of dry weather first thing. The winds will be light

:06:34. > :06:38.and through the day there will be plenty of sunshine. A nice, picture

:06:39. > :06:43.for much of Britain and Ireland for a good bit of the day. Plenty of

:06:44. > :06:45.sunshine and relief for those affected by flooding towards the

:06:46. > :06:48.north-west of England but through the day we have weather warnings

:06:49. > :06:54.coming into force. Amber across the West because of the strong winds,

:06:55. > :06:58.yellow warnings elsewhere. It won't really be until late in the evening

:06:59. > :07:02.when it will begin to see the game pushing into parts of the West of

:07:03. > :07:05.Northern Ireland. They can get away eastwards through the course of the

:07:06. > :07:08.evening, some of it will be heavy and it will last for a few hours.

:07:09. > :07:13.There is the chance we could see some flooding as a result. It will

:07:14. > :07:17.last into Wednesday. There will be some dry gaps that they will be a

:07:18. > :07:20.return to rain as we make our way through Wednesday. Some saturated

:07:21. > :07:25.ground and there may be some flooding as a result. The good news

:07:26. > :07:27.is, for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, it will be cooler but

:07:28. > :07:29.much calmer.
