:00:15. > :00:19.It's thought the 68-year-old died from natural causes.

:00:20. > :00:31.Jennifer Cardy was just nine years old when she was sexually assaulted

:00:32. > :00:39.and murdered by Robert black as she cycled on her new bike to a friends

:00:40. > :00:49.house. Her family had to wait until 2011 for justice when Black was

:00:50. > :00:54.convicted and sentenced to life. His father described hearing the

:00:55. > :01:01.suffering she endured in her final hours as horrendous -- her father.

:01:02. > :01:08.Described as a president treat paedophile, Black's job took him all

:01:09. > :01:10.over the UK. The fear is the full horror and extent of his crimes may

:01:11. > :01:28.never be uncovered. Jennifer Cardy's mother gave her

:01:29. > :01:35.reaction. We have not jailed to the idea that Robert Black is gone. We

:01:36. > :01:44.have mixed feelings about it. We certainly have no pleasure. But he

:01:45. > :01:52.has gone. I would like to have known the man, to have had more time to

:01:53. > :01:58.prepare himself for his death and for his life.

:03:23. > :03:28.This year Northern Ireland begins with a considerable amount of hope.

:03:29. > :03:30.We need to see an implementation of the budget.

:03:31. > :03:33.Challenging as that is, it needs to give to the financial

:03:34. > :03:36.structures of Northern Ireland that stability they need.

:03:37. > :03:38.Mr Storey moves from the department of social development.

:03:39. > :03:49.Things have moved on but it is some 14 years since I was

:03:50. > :03:59.It was a day of more congratulations for people in power.

:04:00. > :04:02.But the ministers will not be in the jobs for very long.

:04:03. > :04:05.After the elections in May, the biggest parties will pick

:04:06. > :04:15.their ministries in the new Stormont Executive.

:04:16. > :04:18.The DUP's Edwin Poots has been criticised for comments he made

:04:19. > :04:19.about the First Minister's appointment.

:04:20. > :04:22.He described Arlene Foster's new role as her second most

:04:23. > :04:24.important job after being a wife and mother.

:04:25. > :04:26.Some described it as sexist but Mr Poots maintains

:04:27. > :04:34.Arlene Foster and her mum Georgina Kelly as she became

:04:35. > :04:36.First Minister at Stormont yesterday.

:04:37. > :04:39.It was comments made in the Assembly chamber shortly

:04:40. > :04:44.after her appointment which have caused concern.

:04:45. > :04:48.Congratulating Arlene on her elevation to First Minister.

:04:49. > :04:52.That's the second most important job she will ever take on.

:04:53. > :04:55.Her most important job has been and will remain that of wife,

:04:56. > :05:06.I know that will be the case with Arlene and should

:05:07. > :05:12.That part of the speech was described as sexist and patronising.

:05:13. > :05:16.But Mrs Foster brushed aside the criticism.

:05:17. > :05:19.Some of the media questions yesterday wouldn't be asked

:05:20. > :05:27.I'm focussing on the job ahead, what I need to do.

:05:28. > :05:35.But I'm doing a job to lead Northern Ireland now.

:05:36. > :05:39.Others weren't so quick to ignore them.

:05:40. > :05:45.A woman to take on this role on the very first day to have those

:05:46. > :05:48.statements said about them, I think there is no way a man

:05:49. > :05:52.would ever have things like that said to them.

:05:53. > :05:55.I think once again, it proves Northern Ireland is not a place

:05:56. > :06:00.for women to get involved in politics.

:06:01. > :06:03.During a radio interview today Mr Poots attracted further criticism

:06:04. > :06:07.when he accused a fellow guest of getting involved

:06:08. > :06:11.When I was Health Minister, I always said the most important job

:06:12. > :06:25.Health would always take second place to that.

:06:26. > :06:29.If I don't do things right at home, I will not be able to do things

:06:30. > :06:35.We've fewer women in elected office than any part of the UK or Ireland.

:06:36. > :06:37.Arlene Foster's appointment could be seen as the exception rather

:06:38. > :06:47.Critics of Edwin Poots say it will do little to encourage other

:06:48. > :06:50.An elderly woman has been assaulted in West Belfast this evening.

:06:51. > :06:54.The man who attacked her also stole her handbag.

:06:55. > :06:57.It happened in the Devenish Court area at around 6pm and the woman

:06:58. > :07:03.The newly refurbished Enterprise trains have had their safety licence

:07:04. > :07:09.suspended in the Republic after passenger doors opened

:07:10. > :07:11.unexpectedly while a train was moving.

:07:12. > :07:13.It has happened twice, once in December and again this

:07:14. > :07:22.They cost over ?12 million, mostly European money.

:10:23. > :10:25.The head of the Rivers Agency says dredging would not have made

:10:32. > :10:34.were damaged by floods as water levels hit a 30-year high.

:10:35. > :10:39.The Assembly's agriculture committee was told by the Agency

:10:40. > :10:41.that the volume of water flowing into it is five times that

:10:42. > :10:46.MLAs were also told there's no engineering solution to the floods
