:00:00. > :00:10.Police have arrested a second man in connection with the murder

:00:11. > :00:16.Anthony McErlain's body was found in a flat in the town last night.

:00:17. > :00:20.A 33-year-old man was arrested earlier, and a short time ago

:00:21. > :00:23.police said they had also arrested a 50-year-old man

:00:24. > :00:31.Kevin Sharkey was in Ballycastle today.

:00:32. > :00:40.A heinous crime. That is what we said they were investigating. And

:00:41. > :00:44.they McErlain was 48 and was then a neighbour's flat yesterday evening.

:00:45. > :00:49.Something happened while he was there, and before the end of the day

:00:50. > :00:54.he was dead. He came to visit his friend.

:00:55. > :00:57.And he didn't have far to travel, the victim left the last days of his

:00:58. > :01:03.life in this light, and lost his life just around the corner.

:01:04. > :01:08.And same McErlain was known to many around this coastal town, including

:01:09. > :01:13.a former school classmate. Just a lovely character. Wouldn't

:01:14. > :01:18.have passed you in the street without speaking. Always had a wave

:01:19. > :01:21.and a smile. The last time I saw him, we were chatting about the old

:01:22. > :01:25.days. The police are trained to find out

:01:26. > :01:32.more details of Anthony McErlain's last time alive. Particularly around

:01:33. > :01:37.the spot at half past 8pm last night. Frantic teams have spent the

:01:38. > :01:42.whole day carrying out examinations. It is not sure how many people were

:01:43. > :01:48.in the flat at the time. -- forensic streams. It has left the area in

:01:49. > :01:53.shock. This is a very quiet area. This was

:01:54. > :01:56.an awful murderer. Today a community and a family

:01:57. > :02:00.having to deal with the devastation of murder.

:02:01. > :02:01.Storm Gertude has caused havoc across Northern Ireland.

:02:02. > :02:04.NIE emergency crews were out today restoring power to more

:02:05. > :02:10.And 250 remain without power this evening.

:02:11. > :02:22.For some it was a little too close for comfort. An incredibly lucky

:02:23. > :02:30.escape for the motorist caught up in this. And our's driveaway and more

:02:31. > :02:33.damage, as wind reached up to 85 mph. It is easy to see the sheer

:02:34. > :02:42.force of Storm Gertrude. Imagine waking up to this.

:02:43. > :02:45.It was quite frightening and 5am, we heard an almighty crash, we thought

:02:46. > :02:52.the roof had came down. But fortunately it may not have been as

:02:53. > :02:57.bad as we anticipated. Hopefully, we can get the tree removed and there

:02:58. > :03:03.would be too much damage. -- won't be too much damage.

:03:04. > :03:10.Gertrude cut a swathe through the country. These trees have been here

:03:11. > :03:16.for quite some time, since the 18th century. It is one of the most

:03:17. > :03:21.photographed places in Northern Ireland, it featured in Game Of

:03:22. > :03:30.Thrones. But nothing can stand the strength of Storm Gertrude.

:03:31. > :03:35.The wind has damaged the one at the ends, and it is sad to see. This

:03:36. > :03:39.morning I wasn't sure it was too bad, because the last couple of

:03:40. > :03:46.times the trees came down, but they go there are some down today.

:03:47. > :03:49.At its height, 18,000 homes and businesses were without electricity.

:03:50. > :03:54.We not out of the woods yet, there are still a winter morning in place.

:03:55. > :03:57.Emergency crews are on stand-by and ready to go.

:03:58. > :04:00.And the storm gave one pet rabbit in Omagh a bit of a hare-raising

:04:01. > :04:03.adventure after his hutch was blown onto the roof of a care home.

:04:04. > :04:05.Firefighters equipped with a ladder and -

:04:06. > :04:07.somewhat unusually - a carrot, were called to the rescue.

:04:08. > :04:14.Southwest reporter Julian Fowler has the tale of Bumper Rabbit.

:04:15. > :04:23.What's up Doc? Bumper of the bunny has become something of a sensation

:04:24. > :04:28.after his a board antics. He normally has four paws firmly on the

:04:29. > :04:35.ground at Leeds, a care home for adults with mental issues. It high

:04:36. > :04:41.winds from strong Gertrude blew him into the air and he ended up on the

:04:42. > :04:49.roof, which gave a shock to this man who feeds and cares for Bumper.

:04:50. > :04:56.It lifted the run and blew it over the henhouse. I found the rabbit

:04:57. > :05:00.halfway up the roads this morning. When the Fire Brigade was called, at

:05:01. > :05:06.first they thought it was a hoax. But when crew from Bravo Watch in

:05:07. > :05:11.Omagh arrived, they found Bumper on the roof. With the help of a carrot,

:05:12. > :05:14.he was caught and brought to safety. Residents at Woodbank House are

:05:15. > :05:20.grateful for the rescue. We love all the rabbits, if we lost

:05:21. > :05:26.any of them it would be like losing a member of the family. All of us

:05:27. > :05:35.here at Woodbank House are a family. No Bumper and his hutch mate Thumper

:05:36. > :05:38.I safe and sound. They will be hoping their flying days are over.

:05:39. > :05:41.And if you want to see Bumper the bunny again just check out

:05:42. > :05:44.There were long delays leaving Belfast today

:05:45. > :05:47.A lorry overturned causing tailbacks onto the Westlink,

:05:48. > :05:53.At one point all the lanes leaving Belfast on the M2 were closed

:05:54. > :05:58.while an attempt was made to recover the vehicle.

:05:59. > :06:00.The PSNI Chief Constable, George Hamilton, has confirmed

:06:01. > :06:03.that he plans to bring in detectives from outside Northern Ireland

:06:04. > :06:06.to investigate the activities of a man alleged to have been

:06:07. > :06:10.the army's most high ranking agent in the IRA.

:06:11. > :06:16.has been named by the media as west Belfast man Fred Scappaticci.

:06:17. > :06:19.He has been accused of involvement in up to 50 murders.

:06:20. > :06:24.It was announced in court today the Chief Constable's preferred

:06:25. > :06:27.option is for detectives from other UK police forces

:06:28. > :06:32.A pipe bomb has been thrown at a house

:06:33. > :06:34.in the Waterside area of Londonderry.

:06:35. > :06:37.Two adults and a child were in the house at Ebrington Street

:06:38. > :06:39.when the device landed in the back yard just after midnight.

:06:40. > :06:44.Neighbours were moved out of their homes while the army

:06:45. > :07:00.The police were at the door, saying there is a device next door, you

:07:01. > :07:05.need to evacuate. So I got out as fast as I could, I was in the middle

:07:06. > :07:10.of brushing mighty before going to bed. I was really flustered. I

:07:11. > :07:11.called a friend and asked if I could stay with her.

:07:12. > :07:15.Officials at Lough Erne have said they are ready to host next year's

:07:16. > :07:18.There has been speculation the event might be moved

:07:19. > :07:21.Yesterday the European Tour said that "no definitive decision"

:07:22. > :07:24.Tonight the resort issued a statement stating that it's

:07:25. > :07:29."very much looking forward to hosting the Irish Open".

:07:30. > :07:31.Stuart Olding will make his first appearance for Ulster

:07:32. > :07:37.Coming back from serious knee injury, the 22-year-old centre has

:07:38. > :07:39.been named in the starting 15 for the Pro 12 game

:07:40. > :07:55.It was tough enough. Obviously I had great support from all the staff and

:07:56. > :08:00.physios, I knew I had that backing behind me and I would come back a

:08:01. > :08:04.better player. I know, friend, he is very pleased

:08:05. > :08:09.to have got through his first game. I wish him luck going forward in

:08:10. > :08:11.terms of his injuries. I think he's over it now, and I wish luck.

:08:12. > :08:13.Wind, snow and ice on the way I'm afraid.

:08:14. > :08:26.Good evening. The highest winds from strong Gertrude had passed.

:08:27. > :08:30.Nevertheless, a wind warning remains in place for tonight and early

:08:31. > :08:37.tomorrow. We could still see gusts of up to 65 mph. Added to that, we

:08:38. > :08:43.now have snow and ice as well. Tomorrow, frequent showers of sleet

:08:44. > :08:46.and snow. It becomes icy. Given the strength of the winds, we could get

:08:47. > :08:52.some many blizzard conditions of the hills. Tomorrow, strong, gusty winds

:08:53. > :08:57.and we have sleet and snow showers to come. By tomorrow morning quite a

:08:58. > :09:03.few of us could see a covering of sleet and snow. Plenty of snow

:09:04. > :09:07.showers piling into Scotland on the strong when is, blizzard conditions

:09:08. > :09:10.here as well. For Northern England into the republic of Highland,

:09:11. > :09:17.someone true showers here too, it could become snow. It could trickle

:09:18. > :09:22.across the Midlands as well. Many parts across here remaining dry and

:09:23. > :09:27.feeling cold in the went. Not as strong as it is in the north, that

:09:28. > :09:30.went. Temperatures in Northern Ireland for most of us holding

:09:31. > :09:34.around three degrees. Even in sunny spells between those wintry showers,

:09:35. > :09:41.there will be a distinct wind-chill with those gusty winds. Tomorrow

:09:42. > :09:48.evening brings further showers and sweetie patches. The snow tires to

:09:49. > :09:53.spells of rain as the temperature creeps up through the day, the wind

:09:54. > :09:58.eventually picking up as well. That is it for now, do take care if

:09:59. > :10:02.you're on the roads tonight. I will go out
