:00:00. > :00:08.Good evening and welcome to BBC Newsline.

:00:09. > :00:11.Gardai are searching for up to six men who they believe were involved

:00:12. > :00:15.in yesterday's fatal shooting at a hotel in Dublin.

:00:16. > :00:18.The man who died in the attack was 34 year old David Byrne

:00:19. > :00:24.You may find some of the scenes in our Dublin Correspondent Shane

:00:25. > :00:47.A boxing weigh in, tainted by murder. Gardai now believe that at

:00:48. > :00:58.least six men were involved. Some of them and SWAT style uniforms and one

:00:59. > :01:02.was dressed as a woman. There was also a getaway driver. Police

:01:03. > :01:06.believe the attack was part of an ongoing criminal gang feud and may

:01:07. > :01:12.be part of the fallout from a murder late last year in Spain. A senior

:01:13. > :01:17.officer has appealed for calm. We are also conscious that there is

:01:18. > :01:21.speculation that people may be talking about retaliation in this

:01:22. > :01:28.matter. And we have been very active since the event. There have been

:01:29. > :01:32.numerous armed patrols out in Dublin city last night and they will

:01:33. > :01:36.continue in the coming days. With house-to-house searches and the

:01:37. > :01:42.friend examination continuing today, it has emerged that the dead man,

:01:43. > :01:47.David Byrne, and the two injured, one known to the police. One of the

:01:48. > :01:52.two has checked in south out of hospital, the other risks losing a

:01:53. > :01:56.leg. The van used was found burnt out a short distance away.

:01:57. > :01:59.Hundreds of people have taken part in a rally in Ballymena calling

:02:00. > :02:01.for investment to bring new jobs to the town.

:02:02. > :02:03.One of the speakers, a 17-year-old, told the rally

:02:04. > :02:06.she would have to leave her home town if she wanted to find work.

:02:07. > :02:18.They came from all over. From just down the road. The message was

:02:19. > :02:26.clear. We don't want zero hours contracts. We want decent jobs for

:02:27. > :02:33.our families and, our children and grandchildren. That is what they

:02:34. > :02:41.want, will they get it and when? The man who controls the purse strings

:02:42. > :02:43.was listening. I'm well aware as finance minister of the challenges.

:02:44. > :02:48.There are choices that have been made which make an impact on the way

:02:49. > :02:51.money has been spent. That is why politicians need to recognise

:02:52. > :02:56.collectively that whatever the choices they make, there are

:02:57. > :03:00.indications on the ground. 2000 jobs are set to go with the closure of

:03:01. > :03:08.Michelin and JTI Gallaher. The future looks grim. At the moment in

:03:09. > :03:14.Ballymena, it looks grim. This is where my family is. 70 moment like

:03:15. > :03:20.many of my peers, I will leave school and go away. They are not

:03:21. > :03:26.taking it lying down. There is fighting spirit. Despair is not an

:03:27. > :03:29.option. The future of Ballymena is here. Our schools have the future

:03:30. > :03:34.inside them and I dread the future if there is nothing here in

:03:35. > :03:38.Ballymena to keep the children here. And when you have a Holywood star

:03:39. > :03:44.batting for you, things can only get better, surely? Today is the start

:03:45. > :03:49.of the fightback. Let this be the first day at the start of a campaign

:03:50. > :03:56.that wins. Ballymena, Raleigh for the future. Fighting talk from

:03:57. > :03:58.Ballymena's most famous son. Let's face it, who is going to argue with

:03:59. > :04:01.him? In sport - Cushendall have made it

:04:02. > :04:03.through to the All Ireland club hurling final for

:04:04. > :04:05.the first time ever. The Ruairi Ogs went ahead early

:04:06. > :04:08.in the game and stayed in front throughout their semifinal

:04:09. > :04:10.against Sarsfields of Galway. Two second-half goals,

:04:11. > :04:12.an outstanding individual effort from Sean McAfee and a late

:04:13. > :04:14.Carl McKeegan strike The final score was 3 goals and 12

:04:15. > :04:21.points to 1 goal and 6 points. The Antrim side now go

:04:22. > :04:24.through to the final at Croke Park on St Patrick's Day where they will

:04:25. > :04:31.take on Na Piarsaigh of Limerick. The Ireland women's rugby team

:04:32. > :04:33.got their Six Nations title defence They beat Wales by 21-3

:04:34. > :04:38.in a relatively straightforward Both Irish tries came

:04:39. > :04:42.in the first half - and they now look ahead to a crunch

:04:43. > :04:53.game against France next Saturday. Now here's Cecilia Daly

:04:54. > :05:06.with the weather forecast. One area of rain moves away but only

:05:07. > :05:09.to let another one in. There will be more heavy showers later tonight and

:05:10. > :05:15.tomorrow will start wet but what right around the middle of the day.

:05:16. > :05:20.Some showers in the East and otherwise never very far away.

:05:21. > :05:26.Widespread by morning and wintry in places, as well. Very wintry by the

:05:27. > :05:32.end of the night. -- very wet by the end of the night and cold, too. A

:05:33. > :05:37.cold, wet night and strong winds as well. But the rain and wind will

:05:38. > :05:42.ease from the south later in the morning. Drier weather developing

:05:43. > :05:45.across many areas. For a while in the Miller the day the heavy rain

:05:46. > :05:48.and strong winds will become confined to the middle of Scotland

:05:49. > :05:54.and then the next batter wet weather moves across the Republic and other

:05:55. > :06:00.areas in the afternoon. It is looking like a wet, soggy match. The

:06:01. > :06:04.rain is edging northwards so it will arrive in Northern Ireland by

:06:05. > :06:10.tomorrow evening and if you like about the tomorrow, it will be wet.

:06:11. > :06:15.If you can't be there, listen to BBC radio Ulster. Wet and windy tomorrow

:06:16. > :06:20.evening with the rain easing off during the night. Quite cold with

:06:21. > :06:25.lively winds. It stays unsettled into the new week but not as mild as

:06:26. > :06:30.it has been. Hopefully, we should get a dry day on Wednesday for a

:06:31. > :06:31.while. Possibly some wintry Nessa -- some wintry weather this coming

:06:32. > :06:34.week.
