:06:16. > :06:18.of fifteen year old Arlene Arkinson from Castlederg.
:06:19. > :06:22.Howard died in prison last year serving a sentence
:06:23. > :06:44.Arlene Arkinson's body was never found, a jury cleared Robert
:06:45. > :06:49.They had not known he already had a record
:06:50. > :06:52.But one police officer has told the inquest
:06:53. > :06:53.that after investigating Arlene's disappearance,
:06:54. > :06:55.he encountered Howard again a few years later.
:06:56. > :06:57.Trevor Stephenson told the court he had met
:06:58. > :06:59.Robert Howard in 1999 in Deptford on another case.
:07:00. > :07:01.He says Howard told him the Castlederg
:07:02. > :07:04.years were very dark time for him, that he was a coward,
:07:05. > :07:08.scared of what happened to him if he ever told what had done.
:07:09. > :07:10.Mr Stevenson told the court more of what Robert Howard
:07:11. > :07:30.I believe it was Arlene the officer said.
:07:31. > :07:33.If you haunt someone, you need to be dead and he added
:07:34. > :07:35.that Robert Howard was one of the most evil men
:07:36. > :07:52.His victims said he kept the conversation going, he hoped Howerd
:07:53. > :07:59.would reveal the location of the body for a Christian burial. He
:08:00. > :08:02.agreed in court that he could have been manipulated by Howard.
:08:03. > :08:10.Later a retired Detective Inspector explained how a complaint
