:00:08. > :00:11.The Ulster Unionist leader, Mike Nesbitt, has called

:00:12. > :00:14.for new seating arrangements in the Assembly chamber

:00:15. > :00:17.to reflect his party's decision to go into opposition.

:00:18. > :00:20.The DUP and Sinn Fein have both rejected the idea.

:00:21. > :00:22.Our political correspondent Gareth Gordon begins his report

:00:23. > :00:28.with Mr Nesbitt's challenge yesterday to other parties.

:00:29. > :00:39.Let battle commence. Battle number one. Seating arrangements. And

:00:40. > :00:43.Stormont, Sinn Fein and the DUP face each other across the chamber even

:00:44. > :00:46.though they are a government together but at Westminster, the

:00:47. > :00:49.government sits on one side of the chamber, the opposition on the

:00:50. > :00:53.other. That is the model Mike Nesbitt once in the future. If they

:00:54. > :00:59.don't want to sit side-by-side, why are they sitting side-by-side as

:01:00. > :01:03.partners in government? If they don't change the seating

:01:04. > :01:07.arrangements, if they have embarrassed and or reluctance to sit

:01:08. > :01:12.together, we're not in for a very progressive five years. What is the

:01:13. > :01:18.DUP think? We asked the First Minister as she spent the afternoon

:01:19. > :01:20.at the Balmoral show. It is not Westminster, this is a devolved

:01:21. > :01:24.administration in Northern Ireland and I will sit where I sit and Sinn

:01:25. > :01:28.Fein will continue to sit where they sit. There will be no change and I

:01:29. > :01:37.won the election and unionism is with me on these matters. John

:01:38. > :01:42.McCallister lost his assembly seat last week. But he believes if the

:01:43. > :01:46.SDLP Johnny Ulster Unionist Party in opposition, they have to work

:01:47. > :01:54.closely together. I think strength is in numbers, and on certain

:01:55. > :01:58.issues, you come together over the course of a five year term, they

:01:59. > :02:04.might eventually look more like an alternative Executive. Talks on the

:02:05. > :02:07.programme for government resume here on Monday, including the SDLP and

:02:08. > :02:10.the Alliance Party. For now at least, Gareth Gordon, BBC News Lang,

:02:11. > :02:13.Stormont. A 28-year-old man who died in a car

:02:14. > :02:17.crash in County Down this morning The crash happened on Newcastle Road

:02:18. > :02:21.near Castlewellan at Mr Shaw's car was the only

:02:22. > :02:26.vehicle involved. A 51-year-old man has been charged

:02:27. > :02:29.with attempted murder in connection with a shooting in north Belfast

:02:30. > :02:33.earlier this week. He's to appear in court tomorrow

:02:34. > :02:35.morning, where he will also face It follows a gun attack on a man

:02:36. > :02:41.in his 20s in an alley between Sheridan Street

:02:42. > :02:46.and Donore Court on Monday morning. The motorbike racer Ryan Farquhar is

:02:47. > :02:49.still seriously ill after crashing The Dungannon rider was airlifted

:02:50. > :02:57.to hospital last night. Stephen Watson is at the racing

:02:58. > :03:09.event for BBC Newsline. Ryan Fox what is one of Northern

:03:10. > :03:15.Ireland's biggest road racing stars. He had previously retired but made a

:03:16. > :03:20.comeback last year. He remains in a serious condition after last week's

:03:21. > :03:25.crash. The hospital says news is more positive and its three other

:03:26. > :03:28.riders will ride tomorrow. This report starts with footage of the

:03:29. > :03:35.crash. The incident happened just after the bridge on the coast road

:03:36. > :03:38.as Ryan Farquhar battled with Cooper for the lead. The race was red

:03:39. > :03:45.flagged and paramedics attended the scene. Ryan Farquhar was airlifted

:03:46. > :03:49.to the royal Victoria hospital in Belfast and underwent surgery.

:03:50. > :03:54.Cooper was taken to the Causeway hospital and discharged overnight.

:03:55. > :03:59.The thoughts of the competitors here are with Ryan and his family. We

:04:00. > :04:06.were sitting on the pit lane. I heard a big roar, like a gas from

:04:07. > :04:12.everybody and I went over and asked one of my friends and he was

:04:13. > :04:16.distraught. I thought, that is not good, our thoughts are with Ryan and

:04:17. > :04:21.down came off as well and hopefully he is all right, get well soon to

:04:22. > :04:25.him. There are six races tomorrow and one interested spectator. As a

:04:26. > :04:33.four time world Superbike winner and a world quest winner in 1993. Should

:04:34. > :04:37.be some great racing. It is hard to say who is going to win. Several

:04:38. > :04:41.guys could win the big race tomorrow, really looking forward to

:04:42. > :04:47.it. The man they will all be chasing is the most successful rider in the

:04:48. > :04:52.history of the event. Thousands of people are flocking to the north

:04:53. > :04:55.coast for tomorrow, roads closed at 9:30am and you can see all the

:04:56. > :04:57.racing live on the BBC sport website.

:04:58. > :04:59.Stephen Watson at the North West 200.

:05:00. > :05:02.The famous landmark of Malin Head in County Donegal is welcoming some

:05:03. > :05:07.The latest instalment of the Star Wars series is due

:05:08. > :05:11.It's prompted huge excitement in the area,

:05:12. > :05:22.Actor Mark Hamill who plays Luke Skywalker at Belfast International

:05:23. > :05:26.Airport this morning. He and other actors were arriving to film a scene

:05:27. > :05:31.for the next blockbuster in Malin Head head -- Malin Head in county

:05:32. > :05:36.Donegal. A massive construction has been taking place on the edge of the

:05:37. > :05:40.Atlantic but is it the famous millennium Falk and spaceship? Yes,

:05:41. > :05:48.for sure, but people might be disappointed if they are expecting

:05:49. > :05:53.to see the full-sized Falcon, it is only the underbelly of it. We have a

:05:54. > :05:59.feeling they are either shooting from underneath or they will CGI the

:06:00. > :06:02.rest of it later on. The roads were closed off earlier this morning and

:06:03. > :06:07.local people were given special passes to allow them to move around

:06:08. > :06:13.freely. There is no doubt the fourth is in Malin Head. It has been a

:06:14. > :06:17.dream. I missed out in Kerry last year, they were filming there and I

:06:18. > :06:22.was going to take a trip but it was a seven Hour Drive. Here they were

:06:23. > :06:27.coming here, it is unreal, I had to get up. It is fabulous, a dream come

:06:28. > :06:32.true. And to be filmed in this little corner of the country, we

:06:33. > :06:37.don't really get much up here. Hollywood a list Mark Hamill has

:06:38. > :06:42.been known to drop in on the locals. He certainly feels right at home.

:06:43. > :06:50.Plenty of star spotters, we haven't seen many stars as yet. But the

:06:51. > :06:54.camera s rolling today and all over this weekend, the roads are closed.

:06:55. > :07:00.So we are nearly not allowed to get a shot of them but plenty of people

:07:01. > :07:05.are trying. This Week in the WWE. Some flight restrictions are now

:07:06. > :07:09.believed to be in place, the only thing in the air today, a

:07:10. > :07:12.transatlantic jet, no sign of any spaceships.

:07:13. > :07:16.Golf, and Rory McIlroy, after an indifferent start

:07:17. > :07:18.yesterday, has had a sensational second round at the Players'

:07:19. > :07:22.The World No three began the day on level par,

:07:23. > :07:28.In a whirlwind start, he picked up seven shots

:07:29. > :07:31.in the opening seven holes and ended his round at 8-under -

:07:32. > :07:34.which is now just four shots off the lead and back in contention

:07:35. > :07:46.I felt the greens getting a little firmer, the wind gets up a little

:07:47. > :07:52.bit. So you have to take advantage of your tea-time in the morning and

:07:53. > :08:00.thankfully I was able to do that. -- tee on. It could have been a couple

:08:01. > :08:03.no but it is a great round and moves me up the leaderboard and hopefully

:08:04. > :08:05.I am not too far away going into the weekend.

:08:06. > :08:07.Onto the weekend weather outlook now, with Barra Best.

:08:08. > :08:10.Hello there, we have a pretty good forecast.

:08:11. > :08:15.So tonight, it is going to be dry, temperatures typically staying

:08:16. > :08:18.at about 5 or 6 degrees although things getting a little bit

:08:19. > :08:21.chillier by morning in some areas where the sky does clear.

:08:22. > :08:24.As for tomorrow, it will be a cooler feeling day but it will be dry.

:08:25. > :08:27.There will be plenty of sunshine from the beginning of the day.

:08:28. > :08:31.Now elsewhere, it is going to be pretty good, but if you are heading

:08:32. > :08:33.towards the North West 200 tomorrow, wrap up warm, a northerly wind

:08:34. > :08:38.But across the board, Ireland and Britain,

:08:39. > :08:41.largely dry and plenty of sunshine, maybe one or two showers dotted

:08:42. > :08:43.along the east coast of Britain, driven in by a wind,

:08:44. > :08:49.So for Northern Ireland for the second part of the day,

:08:50. > :08:52.plenty of sunshine out there and away from the winds,

:08:53. > :08:54.in sun-trapped areas, it will feel quite nice.

:08:55. > :08:56.A bit of a chilly night to come tomorrow night,

:08:57. > :09:01.We may see a slight grass frost in a few places but Sunday,

:09:02. > :09:03.like Saturday, will be fairly decent, plenty of dry weather.

:09:04. > :09:06.Always cooler towards the north coast, 10 or 11 degrees.

:09:07. > :09:08.But inland, we should get around 14 or maybe even 15.

:09:09. > :09:11.There is good news as we look ahead towards Monday, more dry

:09:12. > :09:14.weather in the forecast, and it is not until Tuesday that

:09:15. > :09:17.things begin to turn a little bit more grey and wet.

:09:18. > :09:21.That's it from BBC Newsline until 5.20pm tomorrow evening.

:09:22. > :09:23.In the meantime you can keep updated with News online and

:09:24. > :09:27.From all of us here on the programme,

:09:28. > :09:30.Goodnight and have a great weekend.
