:00:07. > :00:10.The Ambulance Service says it will have to call in help

:00:11. > :00:12.from the voluntary and private sectors again tonight

:00:13. > :00:19.Last night, the service was down 12 crews,

:00:20. > :00:22.Tonight, the Ambulance Service is five crews short.

:00:23. > :00:25.It says part of the problem is a high level of staff sickness

:00:26. > :00:28.and it's warned that again there could be delays getting

:00:29. > :00:39.The performance of the Ambulance Service is based on the

:00:40. > :00:44.administrative 's response and Renault coming close to that the

:00:45. > :00:51.moment. We are seeking to get our crews and paramedics to those who

:00:52. > :00:55.need us as quickly as possible. It will mean that those who are less

:00:56. > :01:00.seriously ill may have to wait longer for their needs to be

:01:01. > :01:01.fulfilled. It is our job to prioritise the most seriously ill

:01:02. > :01:03.and we will continue to do that. The organisers of a cycling race

:01:04. > :01:06.in a County Down forest say those who attempted to sabotage it

:01:07. > :01:08.could have caused Marshals found rocks and logs had

:01:09. > :01:12.been placed to block the route and wool had been tied

:01:13. > :01:14.between trees at head height. A safe ride today but only thanks

:01:15. > :01:22.to observant marshals. Checking the route yesterday,

:01:23. > :01:25.they discovered it had been deliberately blocked with rocks

:01:26. > :01:27.and dangerous logs with spiky branches,

:01:28. > :01:29.fallen trees and blue wool At these speeds it's not hard

:01:30. > :01:37.to imagine the kind of damage

:01:38. > :01:39.a hidden obstacle could do, much less a piece of wool stretched

:01:40. > :01:42.across the route at head height. There's a good chance somebody

:01:43. > :01:44.could have been decapitated Our riders, when they're racing

:01:45. > :01:48.those stages, could be going at speeds of over

:01:49. > :01:50.30mph, up to 40mph. And you can imagine hitting a taut

:01:51. > :01:53.wire at head height at that speed then perhaps landing on a spike,

:01:54. > :01:56.wasn't going to end up The person's obviously put

:01:57. > :02:05.a lot of thought into it because they've actually taken

:02:06. > :02:07.up the wire with them. a person carries with them

:02:08. > :02:12.and they've spent the time dragging out the logs and the rocks

:02:13. > :02:14.onto the trail and they're quite heavy as well and not

:02:15. > :02:17.an easy thing to move. So they have spent the time

:02:18. > :02:19.thinking about doing this. It's a worrying development

:02:20. > :02:21.for a sport that's growing We have kids from all ages,

:02:22. > :02:25.really from very young right up to people of

:02:26. > :02:28.quite a good age taking part and basically enjoying the trail

:02:29. > :02:30.centres and enjoying cycling. We have a bit of a boom

:02:31. > :02:33.at the minute with our cycling and we'd like to see that encouraged

:02:34. > :02:36.and keep it going forward. The police have said

:02:37. > :02:38.it was an "unbelievably dangerous" thing to do in an area

:02:39. > :02:41.that's open to the public They've appealed for

:02:42. > :02:44.anyone who saw anything A service to mark the centenary

:02:45. > :02:51.of the Battle of the Somme has been held at St Anne's

:02:52. > :02:53.cathedral in Belfast. Almost 1,000 people gathered

:02:54. > :02:57.to mark the sacrifice of the 36th Ulster Division

:02:58. > :03:01.and the 16th Irish Division. Lasting 141 days and costing

:03:02. > :03:06.thousands of lives, the Battle of the Somme is etched forever

:03:07. > :03:11.in the memory. The 36th Ulster Division suffered

:03:12. > :03:15.over 5,000 casualties at Thiepval and were awarded four Victoria

:03:16. > :03:27.Crosses for acts of gallantry. It will bring together our

:03:28. > :03:35.remembrance of the men who went over the top on first July with the

:03:36. > :03:38.Ulster division. We also remember the Irish division who went over the

:03:39. > :03:39.top later in the battle and lost as many men.

:03:40. > :03:41.The Somme, said Dean John Mann, represented an appalling

:03:42. > :03:52.We are doing it in two or three ways. We are trying to bring focus

:03:53. > :03:59.on some individuals so people can hear the human stories and at the

:04:00. > :04:05.same time look at the context of where we are today in the world.

:04:06. > :04:07.Many people live in anxiety and fear. How do we deal with conflicts

:04:08. > :04:11.and how we work for peace. In the first day of battle,

:04:12. > :04:14.17 sets of brothers were killed. Their names were remembered,

:04:15. > :04:17.so too the gallantry of four local Northern Ireland's First Minister

:04:18. > :04:23.gave one of the readings. Wreaths were laid at

:04:24. > :04:28.the cathedral's war memorial. Followed by the Northern Ireland

:04:29. > :04:38.Military Wives choir. Gaelic football, and in

:04:39. > :04:41.the Ulster Championship Tyrone have beaten Cavan by five goals and 18

:04:42. > :04:45.points to 2-17. They're now through to

:04:46. > :04:48.a final against Donegal. Reporting from Clones,

:04:49. > :04:57.Thomas Kane. This was a dominant display from

:04:58. > :05:03.Tyrone as they put their place in the final for the first time since

:05:04. > :05:08.2010. Two first-half goals from Peter Hart set the tone, the

:05:09. > :05:17.fantastic finish in the air followed by a tap in from close range. The

:05:18. > :05:23.dominance continued after the break and the substitute scored seconds

:05:24. > :05:30.after being introduced. Another substitute, Mark Radley, fired in

:05:31. > :05:33.Tyrone's fifth of the game with a late consolation for Cavan late in

:05:34. > :05:37.the game. Golf now and at the French Open

:05:38. > :05:40.Rory McIlroy had to settle for third place, five shots off

:05:41. > :05:43.Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee. The world number four began the day

:05:44. > :05:46.tied for second place but his only He carded a level par

:05:47. > :05:53.final round of 71. Let's get the weather

:05:54. > :06:05.forecast for the new week. There has been a slight improvement

:06:06. > :06:10.in the weather today but still not great for early July. Not a bad

:06:11. > :06:14.evening to come. Some sunshine here and there. Quite cool in the

:06:15. > :06:25.countryside but Maureen knocking on the door of Fermanagh by the end of

:06:26. > :06:30.the night -- more rain. Tomorrow it is not a great start to the week. It

:06:31. > :06:35.will start tried but quickly turn wet. The rain moves northwards

:06:36. > :06:41.through the rush-hour and will be heavy at times, particularly in the

:06:42. > :06:48.south and south-east. Behind that, the air is quite muggy in the south

:06:49. > :06:56.of Ireland. The North of Scotland should stay rain free. Southern

:06:57. > :07:09.Scotland and Northern Ireland bearing the brunt of the Chevy wet

:07:10. > :07:13.weather. -- chilly. We have got drier weather to come on Tuesday. A

:07:14. > :07:16.cool breeze but not so bad in the sun.

:07:17. > :07:18.Our next BBC Newsline bulletin is at just after 10:30pm

:07:19. > :07:26.Until then, you can keep up to date with local news on BBC Radio Ulster
