:00:10. > :00:12.The British and Irish governments are advising people travelling

:00:13. > :00:17.to Turkey to be cautious after the attempted coup there.

:00:18. > :00:19.The only flight to Turkey from Northern Ireland today departed

:00:20. > :00:34.It was a dramatic night in Turkey. People out on the streets ignoring a

:00:35. > :00:37.military curfew, determined a coup should not succeed. Today the

:00:38. > :00:42.country is counting the dead and injured. It will also have to count

:00:43. > :00:46.the cost to its tourist industry. One woman is on holiday in the

:00:47. > :00:52.country with her Turkish born husband and children. They are in a

:00:53. > :00:55.Turkish resort popular with Turkish nationals 60 miles from Istanbul.

:00:56. > :01:01.People are staying indoors, they were told last night to stay

:01:02. > :01:07.indoors. We are overlooking where the pool is in our little holiday

:01:08. > :01:11.village and nobody is using the pool. Everybody seems to be

:01:12. > :01:15.continuing to stay indoors. The events of last night raised

:01:16. > :01:20.questions to those heading to the country today. Some tour operators

:01:21. > :01:25.were offering a refund or allowing customers to change travel plans.

:01:26. > :01:29.There's just one flight leaving for Turkey today. The tour operator says

:01:30. > :01:36.most people have decided to go through with their travel plans.

:01:37. > :01:42.Where they are going is where we are going, one woman told me, but we

:01:43. > :01:46.just have to be cautious. We're from Belfast so why spoil a holiday? When

:01:47. > :01:53.we get there we'll see what the locals are saying and we'll take it

:01:54. > :01:58.from there. It's all on the other side of Turkey. There's nothing to

:01:59. > :02:02.worry about. These travellers seemed determined not to allow the unrest

:02:03. > :02:05.to spoil their holiday, but the advice is to stay indoors, avoid

:02:06. > :02:10.public places and remain vigilant. An elderly couple and their

:02:11. > :02:13.grandchild have escaped injury after shots were fired at their home

:02:14. > :02:15.in west Belfast. The attack happened in the early

:02:16. > :02:28.hours of this morning. Bullets smashed through the

:02:29. > :02:32.downstairs windows of this house at about 2:40am. A man and a woman in

:02:33. > :02:36.their 60s and their young granddaughter were asleep upstairs

:02:37. > :02:41.at the time. Absolutely shocking to wake up to this this morning.

:02:42. > :02:46.Totally condemn this attack on this family home. I've spoken to the

:02:47. > :02:50.people that live here, two elderly people, they've lived here for 33

:02:51. > :02:54.years, raised seven children here and never had any bother. They are

:02:55. > :02:59.well known by all the neighbours and residents. They've no idea why they

:03:00. > :03:08.were targeted. Police have launched an investigation into the

:03:09. > :03:10.circumstances of the attack. A neighbour who didn't want to appear

:03:11. > :03:13.on camera said they woke to the sound of gunfire. She said the

:03:14. > :03:14.family have lived here for years and were looking after their young

:03:15. > :03:15.granddaughter. It's been a difficult afternoon

:03:16. > :03:17.for Northern Ireland's three Major golf champions

:03:18. > :03:19.at the Open in Scotland. Rory McIlroy has just finished his

:03:20. > :03:22.third round on level par, 11 shots behind leader

:03:23. > :03:36.Phil Mickelson. It's been a frustrating day for Rory

:03:37. > :03:40.McIlroy here at Royal Troon. In tough weather conditions, he failed

:03:41. > :03:45.to get off to the fast start he needed to get him self back into

:03:46. > :03:51.contention. McIlroy walked to the first tee to begin his third round

:03:52. > :03:55.eight shots off the lead. But immediately fell further behind and

:03:56. > :04:01.again it was on the greens where he faltered. A bogey at the first and

:04:02. > :04:06.then at the third. More putting problems. Another shot dropped and

:04:07. > :04:09.he found himself going the wrong direction on the leaderboard. He did

:04:10. > :04:15.try to stage a fightback with two excellent birdies at the fourth and

:04:16. > :04:21.the sixth, but his change in fortune didn't last long. This was simply

:04:22. > :04:26.not to be his day. And the world number four's irritation was obvious

:04:27. > :04:30.for all to see. McIlroy then missed another putt and with it the

:04:31. > :04:38.opportunity to challenge for a major title. Graeme McDowell got off to an

:04:39. > :04:43.excellent start. But his round unravelled at the eighth when he

:04:44. > :04:48.found trouble and a triple bogey. Although he wasn't too despondent.

:04:49. > :04:52.Played lovely, I hit the ball really well and gave myself some nice

:04:53. > :04:57.chances. After the sixth, I was really happy with the way I hung in

:04:58. > :05:01.there down the back nine. I gave myself some looks and wasn't really

:05:02. > :05:06.expecting to be here today. It was obviously a nice bonus. I wish I

:05:07. > :05:09.could have taken more advantage of it. Darren Clarke tumbled down the

:05:10. > :05:12.leaderboard after a disappointing finish.

:05:13. > :05:18.Now finally onto the weather forecast and here's Barra Best.

:05:19. > :05:25.It has been a fine day and this evening we do have some sunny gaps

:05:26. > :05:29.to end the day. Overnight largely dry and maybe some wet weather

:05:30. > :05:34.skirting across the north coast, but it shouldn't amount to much. Lows of

:05:35. > :05:38.11 or 12 tonight. A mild start tomorrow and overall largely dry

:05:39. > :05:42.with sunny gaps, but there will be a lot of cloud. That will break and

:05:43. > :05:47.allow the sunshine to come through with light winds. In the afternoon,

:05:48. > :05:52.wet weather coming in from the wets. Maybe pushing into Ulster. If you're

:05:53. > :05:59.heading to the GAA final, winger raincoat. South vat, cloudy but

:06:00. > :06:03.largely dry. -- bring a raincoat. For much of England and Wales, a dry

:06:04. > :06:11.picture with good amounts of sunshine and quite warm. For us, by

:06:12. > :06:15.evening, a few scattered showers, especially the southern areas.

:06:16. > :06:20.Temperatures will still reach 21 or 22 Celsius. On Monday, and even

:06:21. > :06:25.warmer day. Not clear blue skies, there will be scattered showers and

:06:26. > :06:30.a few will be heavy. We expect temperatures to climb even more on

:06:31. > :06:32.Tuesday. Then it will turn a bit cooler from Wednesday.
