:04:56. > :04:59.area when the accident happened at 1:15pm yesterday. He was struck by a
:05:00. > :05:04.car, a silver Citroen Picasso. A priest who has spoken to his family
:05:05. > :05:09.said he was enjoying the sunshine when it appears he ran out onto the
:05:10. > :05:14.road. His parents and wider family circle have been left heartbroken.
:05:15. > :05:18.They described him as somebody who had turned their lives around in the
:05:19. > :05:27.past two years, the amount of good he had done, the amount of good.
:05:28. > :05:30.They said he was full of devilment and his mummy said, even if she
:05:31. > :05:36.chastised him, he would turn around and say, I love you. He would disarm
:05:37. > :05:41.her completely. He seemed to be a typical two-year-old, full of life.
:05:42. > :05:45.Full of goodness, full of joy. There has been an outpouring of grief in
:05:46. > :05:49.this close community. People have been numbed by the laws of such a
:05:50. > :05:52.popular young boy. The family had recently returned from holiday and
:05:53. > :05:57.their priest said they were trying to hold onto their memories of such
:05:58. > :06:01.a happy time, all spent together. The police have spoken to the driver
:06:02. > :06:05.in the wake of this tragedy. They have also issued an appeal for
:06:06. > :06:08.information. They want any witnesses to the accident to get in touch.
:06:09. > :06:11.A man who was injured in an industrial incident
:06:12. > :06:22.He worked at the Terex manufacturing plant in Omagh
:06:23. > :06:25.The accident happened at this factory on the
:06:26. > :06:35.one of several sites operated by Terex in County Tyrone.
:06:36. > :06:40.Two men were involved in the incident which happened last
:06:41. > :06:45.Thursday afternoon. They were both trapped by machinery and it is
:06:46. > :06:45.understood they were freed by colleagues before fire crews arrived
:06:46. > :06:47.at the scene. One of the men suffered
:06:48. > :06:49.fatal injuries. 51-year-old Stevie McTeague,
:06:50. > :06:51.a married father of He died in the South
:06:52. > :07:04.West Acute Hospital at My husband knew him very well.
:07:05. > :07:09.Speaking to other members of the community, they said he was the
:07:10. > :07:14.quietest, gentlest man. They have known him for years. Hard-working,
:07:15. > :07:16.kept his head down. There is genuine sorrow in the local community.
:07:17. > :07:18.His co-worker who was also trapped was discharged from
:07:19. > :07:20.hospital after treatment for minor injuries.
:07:21. > :07:23.Terex is a global engineering company.
:07:24. > :07:25.It manufactures equipment used in the construction,
:07:26. > :07:28.quarrying and mining industries and employs hundreds
:07:29. > :07:33.Following the accident, the company said it was very sad at what
:07:34. > :07:38.Investigators from the Health and Safety Executive had
:07:39. > :07:41.visited the site and Terex said it would work with both internal and
:07:42. > :07:46.external experts to investigate the cause.
:07:47. > :07:48.The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland said
:07:49. > :07:52.its sympathies are with the bereaved family and had no further comment to
:07:53. > :07:58.make at this stage of the investigation.
