:00:00. > :00:00.explain why he can still win. Join me now on BBC Two.

:00:07. > :00:09.The Prime Minister says there will be no return

:00:10. > :00:12.to the borders of the past once the UK leaves the European Union.

:00:13. > :00:15.Theresa May was speaking after meeting the first and deputy

:00:16. > :00:17.first ministers at Stormont Castle during her first visit here

:00:18. > :00:30.Our political correspondent Gareth Gordon has more.

:00:31. > :00:37.Six weeks after she last visited Northern Ireland hoping to persuade

:00:38. > :00:42.people to remain in the EU Theresa May was back because her aside last.

:00:43. > :00:47.The political turmoil that followed has been avoided here but the

:00:48. > :00:52.distance between the leaders at Stormont could yet lead to problems.

:00:53. > :00:56.The new Prime Minister met them together and then separately before

:00:57. > :01:00.ending the visit with a short statement of which one journalist

:01:01. > :01:04.and one question was allowed. During the campaign you said it would be

:01:05. > :01:08.inconceivable that there would be no changes to the border in event of

:01:09. > :01:13.Brexit what do you now see the changes as being, where in your mind

:01:14. > :01:17.is the border, is it between the Republic and the north of the North

:01:18. > :01:22.and the rest of the UK? What is calling to happen when the UK leads

:01:23. > :01:26.the European Union is that he Northern Ireland will have a border

:01:27. > :01:33.with the Republic of Ireland which will remember -- remain a member of

:01:34. > :01:36.the week. We have had a common travel area before either country

:01:37. > :01:39.was a member of the European Union and no one wants to return to the

:01:40. > :01:44.borders of the past, what we do want to do is find a way through this

:01:45. > :01:52.that will work develop a practical solution as part of the work that we

:01:53. > :01:55.are doing to make a success of the UK leaving the EU and that we come

:01:56. > :02:00.out of this with the deal in the best interests of the whole of the

:02:01. > :02:05.UK. This man took the opportunity to raise the stakes in the local

:02:06. > :02:14.difficulty over Brexit. We made it clear on the issue of Brexit, Arlene

:02:15. > :02:20.Foster and I are agreed on things related to Fresh Tart and we will

:02:21. > :02:24.continue to do it but on the issue of Brexit, I speak for the people of

:02:25. > :02:31.the North and the people of the North who are Unionist and we have

:02:32. > :02:35.made it clear that they see their future in Europe. How would his

:02:36. > :02:41.partner in government take that, not well. We know that there was an

:02:42. > :02:47.election in May and the DUP as a result of that had 38 members and he

:02:48. > :02:51.has 28 members and I think we jointly speak for the people of

:02:52. > :02:56.Northern Ireland and they speak for the Unionist majority and he speaks

:02:57. > :02:59.for the nationalist majority but together we should be looking to

:03:00. > :03:03.achieve what is best for the people of Northern Ireland and not try to

:03:04. > :03:08.make political point scoring. The Prime Minister has enough to occupy

:03:09. > :03:12.her without worrying about fresh problems at Stormont, but still...

:03:13. > :03:18.If Theresa May did not know before she will now, that the two biggest

:03:19. > :03:20.parties in Northern Ireland are posed to the issue of Brexit and

:03:21. > :03:24.normative talking can change that. The police have released the names

:03:25. > :03:27.of the two women who died in this A man and woman in the other

:03:28. > :03:40.car were injured. It was here on the busy church road

:03:41. > :03:45.in Randall 's town that 35-year-old Michelle McStravick died alongside

:03:46. > :03:49.her colleague Lorraine Clyde who was 56 and from Antrim. The pair are

:03:50. > :03:52.believed to be care workers were carrying out their morning calls

:03:53. > :04:05.when the car they were travelling in was involved in a crash with a Ford

:04:06. > :04:07.focus. A man and a woman in that car suffered nonlife threatening

:04:08. > :04:10.injuries. There is sadness and grief for the people who have lost their

:04:11. > :04:15.lives, two women this morning. On social media, the sense of loss was

:04:16. > :04:20.evident. The road was closed for most of the day while investigators

:04:21. > :04:29.try to establish them up because of the crash. Police are appealing for

:04:30. > :04:33.witnesses to contact them. Three police officers. Trial accused of

:04:34. > :04:38.perverting the course of justice by giving false statements. Two of the

:04:39. > :04:43.officers are accused of assault. The charges are connected to an incident

:04:44. > :04:47.outside a bar on the 16th of March in 2013.

:04:48. > :04:50.Mourners at the funeral of a mother of three killed by a scrambler last

:04:51. > :04:53.week have been told her death could and should have been avoided.

:04:54. > :04:55.Thirty five year old Valerie Armstrong was walking her dog

:04:56. > :04:57.in Colin Glen Forest Park when the incident happened.

:04:58. > :05:00.A seventeen year old boy is charged in connection with her death.

:05:01. > :05:13.They walked before their mother into the church as a nativity where she

:05:14. > :05:17.worshipped every week. The children had painted pictures of angels to

:05:18. > :05:24.accompany Valerie on her last journey. Now there are wider family

:05:25. > :05:28.and the community mourned with them. When I think of Valerie Armstrong I

:05:29. > :05:34.think of a cheerful, and positive person. A person of faith and hope

:05:35. > :05:45.and I am sure that you think about in that same way as well. We are

:05:46. > :05:47.proud to have known Valerie who was as our colleagues described, a

:05:48. > :06:01.wonderful person, wife and mother. Valerie Armstrong had grown up in

:06:02. > :06:06.West made in a family of four daughters and two sons. She had an

:06:07. > :06:12.organ donation card and following the accident, her death had given

:06:13. > :06:19.new life to others. For her family, some consolation after the loss of a

:06:20. > :06:24.young woman in her prime. As we have heard, the circumstances of her

:06:25. > :06:27.death, shock turned to anger, because it was a terrible death that

:06:28. > :06:37.could have been avoided and should have been avoided. I know as you

:06:38. > :06:45.know that a death was not intended but it happened. And it happened

:06:46. > :06:50.because others made bad choices. Afterwards, ten-year-old Dylan once

:06:51. > :06:56.more at lead his mother from church. His little sisters were Karen --

:06:57. > :06:58.carried by their father and Valerie Armstrong was laid to rest in a

:06:59. > :07:00.cemetery in Lisburn. The owners of a bike hire business

:07:01. > :07:03.have warned its future could be in doubt following another theft

:07:04. > :07:05.at the weekend. It's the second time in four weeks

:07:06. > :07:08.that East Coast Adventure which is based at Kilbroney Park

:07:09. > :07:23.in Rostrevor has been targetted. Extreme speed in challenging

:07:24. > :07:28.terrain, this type of mountain biking is not for the faint-hearted.

:07:29. > :07:32.World-class trails like this are putting Northern Ireland on the map

:07:33. > :07:37.but many of those who want to try it will not have the right sort of

:07:38. > :07:42.like. That is where this business has carved out a niche, since 2013

:07:43. > :07:47.it has been harrying high-performance bikes but its

:07:48. > :07:51.future could be in doubt after 14 of them within estimated value of

:07:52. > :07:56.?20,000 were stolen in the early hours of Saturday morning. I did not

:07:57. > :08:01.know what to do. I looked into the container and found that the bikes

:08:02. > :08:07.were gone. Absolute devastation. What makes matters worse is that it

:08:08. > :08:14.has happened before. Especially after it happening less than four

:08:15. > :08:19.weeks ago. This time, with brand-new products. High-end bikes, to lose

:08:20. > :08:23.them again is devastation. The business owner thinks the same

:08:24. > :08:28.thieves are involved. After the last break-in steps were taken to

:08:29. > :08:32.reinforce the doors including welding on steel panels but it did

:08:33. > :08:38.not stop the thieves, they used wooden poles to prise open the

:08:39. > :08:54.doors. Then they slid the bikes out underneath. It has not

:08:55. > :08:58.been a good time for mountain biking. This month the trails in

:08:59. > :09:00.this park were targeted by vandals and the council say a vital part of

:09:01. > :09:03.the tourism offering is being jeopardised. It is a family run

:09:04. > :09:05.business. They are bringing extreme sports. Getting people active and we

:09:06. > :09:08.want them to continue and this might prove the straw that broke the

:09:09. > :09:12.camel's back. Half a dozen ewes were involved in the latest incident

:09:13. > :09:16.according to CCTV. The council will meet the business owners to make

:09:17. > :09:22.sure that the family run business can keep operating. -- youths.

:09:23. > :09:25.Experts believe a rusty old dagger discovered in a Fermanagh river may

:09:26. > :09:28.have belonged to a Bronze Age warrior two and a half

:09:29. > :09:32.The dagger was left in a barn for more than fifty years.

:09:33. > :09:34.Our south west reporter Julian Fowler has been to Arney

:09:35. > :09:46.This river may look peaceful today but locals know that the bloody

:09:47. > :09:50.history of this part. In 1594 this was the sight of the battle of the

:09:51. > :09:54.Ford of the biscuits. When this sort was pulled from the water 400 years

:09:55. > :10:01.later, it was thought it might have been lost by a soldier. My brother

:10:02. > :10:09.was fishing here and he found an old sword at the edge. At the time,

:10:10. > :10:13.someone told us that it did not have anything to do with the battle. It

:10:14. > :10:19.was left to one side. It was forgotten about. A few weeks ago he

:10:20. > :10:23.was cleaning out a barn and found the sword lying on the floor and

:10:24. > :10:27.passed it onto an archaeologist. I said, do you want the good news or

:10:28. > :10:33.the bad news. The bad news was it was not from the battle but it was

:10:34. > :10:40.from the Bronze Age. Word came back it was 2600 old, unbelievable. Now

:10:41. > :10:46.missing its wooden handle it was deliberately broken in four before

:10:47. > :10:51.being left on the river. Who it belongs to and how it ended up in

:10:52. > :10:57.the river are likely to remain a mystery. There are theories that

:10:58. > :11:01.this once belonged to a Bronze Age warrior. It was the tradition at

:11:02. > :11:09.that time when the warrior died, his sword was taken, broken and left in

:11:10. > :11:13.the river. It was done to clear away any sense that he had in his past

:11:14. > :11:20.life. I love his version, for all we know that could be spot on. It is a

:11:21. > :11:25.really nice story. We are unsure, we think definitely this did not belong

:11:26. > :11:29.to your normal lady or bloke, this has come from a high level in

:11:30. > :11:36.society. The discovery has confirmed what those living here know, but

:11:37. > :11:38.this is a special place and has been for thousands of years.

:11:39. > :11:47.Geoff is here with the weather forecast.

:11:48. > :11:56.Good evening. Are some of unsettled weather is set to continue through

:11:57. > :12:01.this week as well. We have a whole mess of whether fans heading in our

:12:02. > :12:07.direction. Every day we will see rain and some days will see more

:12:08. > :12:11.than others. As they go through this evening and overnight, temperatures

:12:12. > :12:16.dropping away that should be enough to see showers in rural areas, lows

:12:17. > :12:21.into single figures. A bit cooler and fresher, easier to sleep

:12:22. > :12:27.tonight. Heading into Tuesday, it is another cloudy day, a reasonably dry

:12:28. > :12:30.start, we will not see the worst of showers, the heaviest will be in

:12:31. > :12:39.parts of Wales, warmer in the south-east of England, but for asked

:12:40. > :12:43.16 or 17 degrees. A dry note, the odd shower, but particularly across

:12:44. > :12:47.the East of Northern Ireland we will see some decent dry spells through

:12:48. > :12:51.the early part of the day, temperatures 1617 degrees, by the

:12:52. > :12:54.afternoon more showers working their way in from the West and gradually

:12:55. > :13:00.starting to spread their way into all parts as we go through the

:13:01. > :13:04.evening on Ritz. Wednesday, a similar pattern, starting off with a

:13:05. > :13:09.reasonably dry morning on Wednesday, a few bright spells here and there

:13:10. > :13:17.are, by the think-tank, rain approaching. There is anything a bit

:13:18. > :13:18.warmer on Wednesday, I need to master card for Thursday, the rain

:13:19. > :13:20.will be at its heaviest. Our next BBC Newsline is at six

:13:21. > :13:25.twenty five in the morning You can also keep updated with
