:00:00. > :00:09.The parents of a teenager who took his own life are calling

:00:10. > :00:12.for a secure mental health facility for under-18s who are

:00:13. > :00:19.Aaron Fox died at the age of 16 earlier this year after becoming

:00:20. > :00:29.In a secure unit, young people would be referred for specialist

:00:30. > :00:32.treatment and would not be not free to come and go.

:00:33. > :00:34.There is such a facility for over-18s in Belfast.

:00:35. > :00:37.Kelly Bonner has been speaking to the Fox family.

:00:38. > :00:40.Aaron Fox was just 15 when his battle with drugs began.

:00:41. > :00:44.It progressed to legal highs, and it just got a hold

:00:45. > :01:03.From that point, it was a constant battle.

:01:04. > :01:06.A battle that ended in Aaron taking his own life in April this year.

:01:07. > :01:08.It was horrendous, just horrendous to watch your child

:01:09. > :01:19.Every parent's main goal in life is to protect their children,

:01:20. > :01:27.I just wish we could go back to that day and I would never

:01:28. > :01:35.As it stands, there are no secure treatment units for under-18s

:01:36. > :01:41.with severe mental health issues - something this MLA says

:01:42. > :01:47.There is not enough early intervention, health and support,

:01:48. > :01:50.and when they are engaged in very harmful behaviour, self-harming

:01:51. > :01:54.and trying to take their own lives, we struggle to find where we can get

:01:55. > :01:56.them help, because here in Northern Ireland there is no

:01:57. > :02:04.But the Department of Health say the current demand for

:02:05. > :02:12.They say the priority for any additional investment would go

:02:13. > :02:14.towards strengthening existing provisions rather

:02:15. > :02:20.than on a specialised unit, something the Fox family

:02:21. > :02:26.The way the system is working, kids need to be on their knees.

:02:27. > :02:36.Literally on their knees before anybody will pay attention.

:02:37. > :02:38.There are serious failings around children's mental health

:02:39. > :02:43.There needs to be that early intervention.

:02:44. > :02:47.There needs to be what we were calling a secure unit,

:02:48. > :02:59.but more a safe place to get those kids away from the addiction,

:03:00. > :03:02.to educate them and to give the assistance that they need.

:03:03. > :03:04.The Fox family say until that happens they fear more lives

:03:05. > :03:08.Local boxing clubs are hoping Carl Frampton's win of the WBA

:03:09. > :03:12.Featherweight crown on Saturday will spark increased interest

:03:13. > :03:18.Frampton, who is from Tiger's Bay in North Belfast, says

:03:19. > :03:20.he hopes his next fight will be in his home city.

:03:21. > :03:34.The fans probably have them come down to earth yet, but for those who

:03:35. > :03:38.made the trip to New York, and it was time to come home. The

:03:39. > :03:42.excitement will stay with them. Ali we expected he would win, we were

:03:43. > :03:46.hoping he would win, but to win in such a way that he did when, a

:03:47. > :03:51.unanimous points decision, it was unheard of. As they landed at

:03:52. > :04:00.Belfast international, thoughts are already turning to the next venue.

:04:01. > :04:05.They hope to summer Dhoni summer of a similar place, it would be great

:04:06. > :04:10.if he could defend his new world title in Belfast. A lot of things

:04:11. > :04:16.have to come together for something like this to happen in Belfast and

:04:17. > :04:19.we hope for the past that it well. Northern Ireland is said to punch

:04:20. > :04:22.above its weight in boxing and a former champion predicts this win

:04:23. > :04:27.will draw the crowds of young people. If to look around, people

:04:28. > :04:35.are excited and happy. You go into any boxing club now, kids will want

:04:36. > :04:41.to be Carl Frampton. He's going to be on a world stage, they all want

:04:42. > :04:43.to be part of that. This coach was presented with awards by Carl

:04:44. > :04:47.Frampton earlier this year. He is hoping the latest assessable ring

:04:48. > :04:51.appears to the coppers of amateur clubs as funders realise how popular

:04:52. > :04:55.the supporters. Hopefully the funders will look at this and then,

:04:56. > :05:02.can we help, can we latch onto be part of the next superstar coming

:05:03. > :05:07.through? You wouldn't say no? Absolutely no. So when Carl Frampton

:05:08. > :05:13.defends his title, whenever that may be, will it be here where he

:05:14. > :05:17.gathered such huge home crowds in 2015? Or hear the Windsor Park

:05:18. > :05:21.Stadium when it's ready to take a big crowd, but perhaps the TV rights

:05:22. > :05:24.and their a big crowd would mean that the next big fight would have

:05:25. > :05:30.to be in the United States. So, verse Mark fans, start saving. --

:05:31. > :05:32.Carl Frampton fans. There were a few bleary-eyed

:05:33. > :05:35.Frampton supporters after that fight and no wonder as it was in the early

:05:36. > :05:38.hours of Sunday morning. For those who had travelled

:05:39. > :05:40.to New York, Carl Frampton treated And the fans were keen to show

:05:41. > :05:45.their appreciation of the champion. The boys from Belfast,

:05:46. > :05:47.we all believe in him. We knew when we came out

:05:48. > :05:51.here he was going to spark Santa Cruz and he did,

:05:52. > :05:55.he sparked him in the second row. How much have the fans

:05:56. > :06:07.enjoyed meeting him, shaking his hand, getting a photo

:06:08. > :06:10.or a chat with the world champion? It's nice to be able to do that

:06:11. > :06:14.because he's such a down-to-earth I believe if he had lost last night

:06:15. > :06:23.he would have done the same thing, it shows he appreciates everyone

:06:24. > :06:25.who travelled over and it's great Traders in Lisburn have condemned

:06:26. > :06:46.the people who were behind a bomb alert in the city centre

:06:47. > :06:51.at the weekend. A busy shopping area had to be

:06:52. > :06:54.evacuated after a viable bomb The police say one line of inquiry

:06:55. > :06:58.is that it fell off a vehicle. It was business as usual

:06:59. > :07:01.in Lisburn today. But this busy shopping area came

:07:02. > :07:03.to a standstill And this was the reason -

:07:04. > :07:10.a viable bomb. Its discovery prompted road closures

:07:11. > :07:17.and the evacuation of businesses. Some are blaming

:07:18. > :07:18.dissident republicans. The line of inquiry is developing

:07:19. > :07:21.that this device came off a vehicle. History has shown that prison

:07:22. > :07:26.officers and security pass never have been targeted,

:07:27. > :07:28.most recently a prison officer was murdered with an undercard

:07:29. > :07:31.device and it suggests this is a pattern and so we

:07:32. > :07:35.need to be vigilant. A controlled explosion was carried

:07:36. > :07:38.out to make the device safe. And in a follow-up operation

:07:39. > :07:42.by police, a car was seized While there is relief that no one

:07:43. > :07:51.was injured by the bomb found here on Saturday, there is anger

:07:52. > :07:53.in the business community When I saw it, it was time to lock

:07:54. > :07:59.the shop up and move on quickly. It is just lucky no one was injured

:08:00. > :08:02.and killed, so it was panic A massive impact, last day

:08:03. > :08:11.of the month for me and sales day, The bomb was found just feet

:08:12. > :08:24.from where a booby trap device killed six

:08:25. > :08:29.off-duty soldiers in 1988. Locals are thankful there was no

:08:30. > :08:37.further bloodshed three decades on. Dublin Zoo has launched an inquiry

:08:38. > :08:40.after a young boy was photographed The photo emerged on social media

:08:41. > :08:45.over the weekend with the youngster standing on the wrong side

:08:46. > :08:49.of a fence and a man holding his The game is almost over

:08:50. > :08:55.for one of the world's most successful TV series,

:08:56. > :08:57.partly filmed here. Game of Thrones will

:08:58. > :08:59.end after season eight Our arts correspondent

:09:00. > :09:03.Robbie Meredith looks Ballintoy in North Antrim

:09:04. > :09:09.as we know it, and as millions The former Prime Minister David

:09:10. > :09:20.Cameron was also an avid viewer, as he showed on a visit

:09:21. > :09:23.to the set last year. Game of Thrones is filmed

:09:24. > :09:35.here at Belfast's Titanic Studios and in locations across Northern

:09:36. > :09:38.Ireland. One critic has described

:09:39. > :09:40.it as swords, dragons, That combination has made

:09:41. > :09:46.it a global success. I would say it's the number one show

:09:47. > :09:54.that most people from It's what they call

:09:55. > :10:05.the water cooler talk. In Australia its huge, a lot

:10:06. > :10:08.of my friends watch it regularly. I watch it in Scotland and a lot

:10:09. > :10:12.of the time I say to my friends There's also been

:10:13. > :10:15.a financial return. NI Screen have invested almost

:10:16. > :10:17.?14 million of public But in return they say it's brought

:10:18. > :10:23.?150 million into the local economy By the time Game of Thrones leaves

:10:24. > :10:29.Northern Ireland it will have been on the ground for ten years,

:10:30. > :10:32.a long time in our game. We have been planning

:10:33. > :10:35.for this for years. It leaves all the knowledge,

:10:36. > :10:39.support companies, postproduction companies,

:10:40. > :10:44.casting, extras companies, catering companies,

:10:45. > :10:49.lighting and construction, they are all here and there is not

:10:50. > :10:53.a significant fire in Los Angeles who doesn't know

:10:54. > :10:55.that Game of Thrones Winter hasn't quite come

:10:56. > :11:00.to Westeros, where Game of Thrones There are still two

:11:01. > :11:06.series to be filmed. We are counting down to the start

:11:07. > :11:08.of the Olympic Games Stephen Watson is in

:11:09. > :11:20.Rio for BBC Newsline. This is the impressive Athletes

:11:21. > :11:22.Village where the largest ever contingent from Northern Ireland

:11:23. > :11:24.will represent either team The 28 competitors will not have

:11:25. > :11:32.much time to enjoy this temporary beach as they continue their pursuit

:11:33. > :11:38.of an elusive Olympic gold medal and for the duration of the Games

:11:39. > :11:43.we will have daily coverage here. Plenty of sunshine there

:11:44. > :11:55.for Stephen in Rio but what can Hello, we are into the last month of

:11:56. > :12:00.summer and unfortunately the weather is not matching this season. We

:12:01. > :12:03.continue to see the jet streams across, driving in unsettled

:12:04. > :12:07.weather. Throughout this way, whether times, but it won't be a

:12:08. > :12:12.complete wash-out all the time. Tonight it is largely dry Tomic

:12:13. > :12:17.temperatures no lower than 13 or 14 Celsius. Tomorrow, the club over

:12:18. > :12:26.Lynn, it will be a rather great day. Some rain associated with that cloud

:12:27. > :12:29.as well. A largely dry start. If you're travelling to more morning,

:12:30. > :12:34.that rainbow stretch right across central areas of Ireland into Wales

:12:35. > :12:40.and central and eastern areas of England, but it will break up today.

:12:41. > :12:43.The best of the sunshine for Northern and central Scotland.

:12:44. > :12:47.Ulster will hold onto the grey, damp skies through much of the day, it's

:12:48. > :12:53.able turn brighter for some southern areas of the Republic. Even some

:12:54. > :12:58.sunshine. Despite the cloud and damp conditions, temperatures will reach

:12:59. > :13:01.18 or 19 for us. As we get into Wednesday, a much more unsettled

:13:02. > :13:04.day. The winds pick up, quite blustery at times, some scattered

:13:05. > :13:09.showers, some of those are expected to be quite heavy. We could get high

:13:10. > :13:13.rainfall totals in some areas, it could cause some problems on the

:13:14. > :13:18.roads, possibly some flooding. We will keep an eye. Once Wednesday is

:13:19. > :13:21.out of the way, it comes down. He mix of sunshine and the odd showers.

:13:22. > :13:25.Our next BBC Newsline is at 6:25 in the morning
