:02:50. > :02:57.the real challenges of Brexit are, of course, yet to be faced.

:02:58. > :02:59.The Environment Agency is investigating the cause

:03:00. > :03:02.of what it describes as a major fish kill in the Faughan

:03:03. > :03:07.The incident was first reported yesterday, and so far more

:03:08. > :03:10.than 1,000 dead fish have been recovered over several

:03:11. > :03:15.The Faughan is an important salmon river and it's thought the numbers

:04:02. > :04:03.who was educated by nuns, so for me this is not

:04:04. > :04:13.about a particular community or country or faith background,

:04:48. > :04:49.of people owning their homes, compared to ten years ago.

:04:50. > :04:51.Industry experts are pointing to several factors which could

:05:11. > :05:12.they don't have the properties and cannot get the money,

:05:13. > :05:15.some are relying on their parents but they have to go

:05:46. > :05:48.down from 73% ten years ago, but roughly in line

:05:49. > :05:55.The people behind the study say this now suggests the issue of one day

:06:07. > :06:14.She says it's becoming harder for young people to get a mortgage.

:06:15. > :06:18.We were both new into our jobs, the banks required a certain

:06:19. > :06:24.security from you in terms of making the commitment to payments every

:06:25. > :06:30.month, which you cannot really do, you have the best aspirations

:06:31. > :06:35.in the world and are ready to go once you get out of uni,

:06:36. > :06:38.and are ready to start your career but the requirements set for us

:06:39. > :06:44.Anyone who was looking for a job, you don't have an option to not live

:06:45. > :06:46.There's now speculation that the Bank of England could cut

:06:47. > :06:50.That may go some way to making mortgages more affordable,

:06:51. > :06:54.if you can get one in the first place.

:06:55. > :06:58.A court has ruled that a dog, which was at risk of being put down,

:07:07. > :07:08.The animal's predicament prompted a huge social media campaign.

:07:09. > :07:13.It was last month that two-year-old Hank was removed by dog wardens

:07:14. > :07:16.following a complaint from a member of the public.

:07:17. > :07:19.One of his owners broke down in court today as it was agreed

:07:20. > :07:23.Until the judge said the words, we were afraid

:07:24. > :07:31.I can't get over it, being able to see him

:07:32. > :07:36.Supporters erupted into spontaneous applause inside the court.

:07:37. > :07:41.The campaign to highlight Hank's seizure gained worldwide attention.

:07:42. > :07:46.We did not think Hank would be coming home,

:07:47. > :07:54.especially this soon, without the support.

:07:55. > :07:58.Belfast City Council expediated the process, we spoke to people

:07:59. > :08:01.who had similar situations in England and it seems

:08:02. > :08:03.they responded to pressure and we would not be having

:08:04. > :08:07.this conversation today without the public support.

:08:08. > :08:10.Hank will have to undergo behavioural training and also be

:08:11. > :08:12.kept on a lead and muzzle while in public.

:08:29. > :08:30.Archaeologists found it during excavation work ahead

:08:31. > :08:34.They say it's unusual to find remains of that age

:08:35. > :08:40.In recent decades it has hosted royalty,

:08:41. > :08:45.But it seems the grounds of Hillsborough Castle have been

:08:46. > :08:52.These archaeologists and volunteers are uncovering an unknown history.

:08:53. > :08:58.And they didn't need to dig deep to find it.

:08:59. > :09:01.These human remains were one of the first thing to be found

:09:02. > :09:03.on the site, ten centimetres below soil level and

:09:04. > :09:07.the experts think it's a young woman but the bones will be taken away

:09:08. > :09:11.today for analysis in the hope that can be confirmed and we can find out

:09:12. > :09:21.We arrived hoping to find the remains of a 15th or 16th century

:09:22. > :09:24.church and about two hours into our first day

:09:25. > :09:33.While that was initially believed to belong to the church, we now think

:09:34. > :09:38.it might be about 1000 AD, so many hundreds years earlier.

:09:39. > :09:40.Other human remains found on this ancient burial site

:09:41. > :09:46.The challenge now is to find the remnants of the church building.

:09:47. > :09:58.Volunteers are doing much of the work.

:09:59. > :10:02.Were talking and very long time ago, pre-broken

:10:03. > :10:04.records, so exciting to find out more about

:10:05. > :10:06.Hillsborough before it was as we know it,

:10:07. > :10:09.Once work is complete, the site will be restored.

:10:10. > :10:12.And after revealing his or her secrets, this person will once

:10:13. > :10:18.Northern Ireland athletes have started arriving in Brazil

:10:19. > :10:21.for the start of the Olympic Games, which get underway on Friday.

:10:22. > :10:28.Stephen Watson is in Rio for BBC Newsline.

:10:29. > :10:35.They are jetting into Rio from all corners of the globe for the biggest

:10:36. > :10:44.sporting show on earth. And Brazil is ready. In the impressive

:10:45. > :10:48.athlete's Village, a traditional welcome 4-team island. They have a

:10:49. > :10:50.former gold medallist from Northern Ireland in charge, and he is an

:10:51. > :10:55.Olympic and Commonwealth Games veteran. I'm excited to be here now.

:10:56. > :10:59.You have different versions as an athlete when you go to the games,

:11:00. > :11:03.but we just want to make sure we have got everything in place for the

:11:04. > :11:07.lies here so they can perform to the maximum. If they do perform to the

:11:08. > :11:10.maximum, I'm sure we will come away with some excellent performances,

:11:11. > :11:18.and hopefully some medals as well. Among the competitors from back home

:11:19. > :11:23.is Paddy Barnes. No boxer from Northern Ireland has ever won an

:11:24. > :11:28.Olympic gold medal, but that is something that he is hoping to put

:11:29. > :11:37.right this time. In Beijing I won bronze. I was happy with that, but

:11:38. > :11:43.realistically, it should have been gold. A bold prediction in pursuit

:11:44. > :11:47.of achieving his Olympic dream. It looks like we're in for a bit of

:11:48. > :11:51.a wet and windy spell. Here's Barra Best with

:11:52. > :12:00.the weather details. It is largely dry at the moment and

:12:01. > :12:05.it will be a warm night, with temperatures not falling below 14

:12:06. > :12:08.Celsius for many of us. By tomorrow morning, the unsettled weather

:12:09. > :12:12.returns from the Atlantic, which sets us up for quite a disappointing

:12:13. > :12:17.day tomorrow. But at times, and we can expect it to be much windier. It

:12:18. > :12:26.is because we have this area of low pressure moving eastwards across as,

:12:27. > :12:32.bringing gusty winds. Quite a blustery day. Maybe some drier

:12:33. > :12:34.weather across parts of County Down and County Armagh, but some wet and

:12:35. > :12:39.windy conditions through the day. The best of the weather tomorrow

:12:40. > :12:45.will be across much of England and Wales. The focus of the unsettled

:12:46. > :12:49.weather will be across Ireland and Scotland, where we continue to see

:12:50. > :12:55.unsettled spells of whether continue through the day. Some of the rain

:12:56. > :13:00.could be heavy, possibly a touch sundry. Sunny spells in between with

:13:01. > :13:08.temperatures reaching 17 Celsius. Maybe 18 will be get the best of the

:13:09. > :13:14.sun. A better picture for Thursday. Inland, 1890 degrees is not out of

:13:15. > :13:20.the question. The scattered showers. Not a bad day on Friday. Lots of dry

:13:21. > :13:23.weather in the forecast. It will warm up for Saturday, but low

:13:24. > :13:26.pressure is not far away and it may turn unsettled. More detail on that

:13:27. > :13:28.closer to the time.
