:00:57. > :01:01.another 24 hours to make sure the fire is out and that neighbouring
:01:02. > :01:06.businesses are safe. When we arrived it was an extremely challenging
:01:07. > :01:10.fire. I would like to praise our crews, they worked in punishing
:01:11. > :01:13.conditions. We had breathing apparatus, trying to stop this fire
:01:14. > :01:16.spreading and again it's been a success. Although the business has
:01:17. > :01:23.been heavily damaged we have prevented further fire spread.
:01:24. > :01:28.A local MLA has criticised the siting of such a plant in this area.

:01:51. > :01:55.business has been defended by the MP for the area. It's been here for
:01:56. > :01:58.over 15 years and this is the first incident. So, I think they have a
:01:59. > :02:03.good track record and I hope that they can get back on their feet
:02:04. > :02:07.again and when speaking to the owner this evening he has assured me there

:03:41. > :03:45.Police have carried out a number of searches in Larne since the arrest:
:03:46. > :03:49.Local politicians are appealing for the public's patience. The police
:03:50. > :03:53.have a job to do and I think it's our time to stand back and let them
:03:54. > :03:56.do that job. They obviously have a lead somewhere and information
:03:57. > :04:01.that's coming to them. Hopefully all will become clear soon. Detectives

:04:42. > :04:46.has been cancelled this evening as it was last night, that's in order
:04:47. > :04:49.to allow as many workers as possible to attend lunchtime briefings at
:04:50. > :04:55.2.00pm tomorrow at each of the factories. It's at that time they
:04:56. > :04:58.will be given what news that will be delivered from the United States. I
:04:59. > :05:01.understand that after they will be allowed time off to absorb that news
:05:02. > :05:04.and that's never a good sign. It normally means job losses. It
:05:05. > :05:06.normally means significant ones at that. To be clear, we do not have

:09:23. > :09:30.As a contest this was a very one-sided affair. The Republic of
:09:31. > :09:34.Ireland cruised to a comfortable victory against Oman. Tonight was
:09:35. > :09:39.all about Robbie Keane as he played his last game for his country. The
:09:40. > :09:43.Republic's leading goal scorer and captain tonight delivered on his
:09:44. > :09:49.final appearance by netting a superb second goal of the evening. His 68th
:09:50. > :09:55.on his 146th cap. Certainly an impressive record and it was a goal
:09:56. > :09:58.which equals the tally of the great German striker Kurt Mueller. Before
:09:59. > :10:02.that Robbie Brady had opened the scoring for the Republic with a fine
:10:03. > :10:06.free kick. And John Walters added two more goals either side of

:10:47. > :10:47.fare without him and his incredible goal-scoring ability remains to be
:10:48. > :10:51.seen. Ulster Rugby fans have been rocked
:10:52. > :10:54.by the news that Ruan Pienaar is to leave at the end
:10:55. > :10:56.of this season. The South African international
:10:57. > :10:58.wanted to stay in Belfast, Ulster Rugby wanted to keep him
:10:59. > :11:01.but the IRFU - the game's governing body - wouldn't sign off
:11:02. > :11:12.on a contract extension. The chief executive of Ulster rugby
:11:13. > :11:16.told us he was disappointed at the outcome. We are allowed probably
:11:17. > :11:23.five players who aren't qualified to play for Ireland. There is an Irish
:11:24. > :11:27.national succession policy and to be able to keep Ruan for as long as we
:11:28. > :11:32.were able to probably goes against that policy so the RFU had to make a
:11:33. > :11:35.difficult decision one we have struggled with, nonetheless we have
:11:36. > :11:39.to respect a difficult decision that Ruan would not be allowed to renew
:11:40. > :11:42.his contract with us even though he and we wanted that.
:11:43. > :11:46.Now with the weather forecast here's Cecilia Daly.
:11:47. > :11:52.Good evening. It should be dry for the remainder of the night. Maybe
:11:53. > :11:55.the odd shower lingering. Skies will clear and temperatures in the
:11:56. > :11:59.countryside could well drop into single figures. Tomorrow is the
:12:00. > :12:03.first of September and the first day of autumn. It starts OK but we are
:12:04. > :12:06.expecting rain to move in from the west during the course of the
:12:07. > :12:10.morning. Initially some dry weather and early sunshine. You should get
:12:11. > :12:15.to work or school before the rain arrives. It will arrive in western
:12:16. > :12:18.Counties by the middle of the morning. Some rain then moving
:12:19. > :12:22.eastwards across the Republic of Ireland, heading to the west of
:12:23. > :12:25.Scotland, as well in early afternoon and the rain arriving in Belfast

:12:29. > :12:33.Further south, southern Scotland and most of England and Wales get away
:12:34. > :12:36.with a dry day. It will be sunny over many south-easten areas and
:12:37. > :12:39.warm too with temperatures in the mid-20s. The rain will ease off at
:12:40. > :12:42.times tomorrow afternoon across Northern Ireland. It won't be
:12:43. > :12:45.raining all the time. There could even be hints of brightness over
:12:46. > :12:49.Belfast and the south-east. Here temperatures could get up to 18. But
:12:50. > :12:53.in most places it will feel cooler due to the thicker cloud and the
:12:54. > :12:58.dampness. A better day on Friday. A few showers around but also some
:12:59. > :13:03.sunshine and temperatures not too bad at all. As we head towards the
:13:04. > :13:06.weekend we have low pressure on our doorstep and at this stage it looks
:13:07. > :13:11.like Saturday will be the wetter of the two days this weekend. Some
:13:12. > :13:17.heavy rain possible too. Things could change between now and then so
