:00:07. > :00:14.A man arrested on suspicion of murder in Lisburn yesterday

:00:15. > :00:18.The police have released few details about the death of a local

:00:19. > :00:20.man, Gerry Mulligan, in the Low Road area.

:00:21. > :00:24.But it is known that his body was discovered in a car at his home.

:00:25. > :00:25.Our reporter Michael Fitzpatrick visited the scene earlier today.

:00:26. > :00:33.This is the street where the man's body was found. The police were

:00:34. > :00:36.called here in Lisburn following the discovery yesterday afternoon. The

:00:37. > :00:42.dead man has been named locally as Gerry Mulligan. It is understood he

:00:43. > :00:48.was in his 60s. Neighbours say he lived alone and had a small business

:00:49. > :00:51.selling cars from his property. The police are currently awaiting the

:00:52. > :00:55.results of a postmortem. However, they've indicated there is one man

:00:56. > :01:00.had been treated in hospital surrounding this incident. They do,

:01:01. > :01:09.however, suggest there is a domestic link in it, so certainly this area

:01:10. > :01:13.is a very settled area and one where everybody goes about the business

:01:14. > :01:18.quietly. It's not yet clear how Gerry Mulligan died, but his death

:01:19. > :01:21.is being treated as suspicious. The police investigation appears to be

:01:22. > :01:26.focused on their back yard at the bottom of this alleyway, where

:01:27. > :01:29.forensics tent is in place. It's understood the yard belongs to the

:01:30. > :01:34.man who died. Neighbours said he'd lived here since he was a child I

:01:35. > :01:38.was well-known in the area. I can't get over it, I've been thinking

:01:39. > :01:41.about it all night and day. Everybody knew him I light him. He

:01:42. > :01:54.never bothered anybody. He was helpful. I just can't take it in.

:01:55. > :01:58.The police say a 44-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of

:01:59. > :01:59.murder is being treated in hospital. They have ruled out any paramilitary

:02:00. > :02:01.involvement. A jury has been told that one

:02:02. > :02:04.of those accused of murdering a man in Craigavon two years ago allegedly

:02:05. > :02:07.confessed to beating A witness recalled going

:02:08. > :02:10.to the house where the County Armagh On trial is 25-year-old

:02:11. > :02:14.Shaunean Boyle of Edenderry Park in Banbridge and 29-year-old

:02:15. > :02:16.Stephen Thomas Hughes With more details,

:02:17. > :02:31.here's Ita Dungan At the time of Owen Creaney's death,

:02:32. > :02:34.the accused, Stephen Hughes and Shaunean Boyle lived here in a

:02:35. > :02:39.Craigavon. This is also the house where the badly beaten it remains of

:02:40. > :02:43.Owen Creaney were found in a green wheelie bin. At Belfast Crown Court

:02:44. > :02:49.today, the jury in their trial heard evidence from one young woman. Maria

:02:50. > :02:50.McGuigan, a friend of Shaunean Boyle recounted a telephone conversation

:02:51. > :03:03.they had had. The raid told the she said Shaunean Boyle told her she

:03:04. > :03:08.had jumped on his stomach and jumped on his head. She added that he was

:03:09. > :03:15.in a bad way, with blood all over his face. His face was busted open.

:03:16. > :03:19.Shaunean Boyle than asked her friend for a Hoover and carpet cleaner, as

:03:20. > :03:26.there was a stain on the white carpet in the house. She then told

:03:27. > :03:29.the court how her friend asked to call around where she and Stephen

:03:30. > :03:35.Hughes lived after she finished work. When she arrived at the house,

:03:36. > :03:40.she said Stephen Hughes, Shaunean Boyle and her young sun were in the

:03:41. > :03:43.living room. She was brought upstairs to see Owen Creaney, who

:03:44. > :03:48.was lying on a sofa in the bedroom. She described the man's breathing as

:03:49. > :03:52.not normal and said there was a yellow bruising on his face and

:03:53. > :03:58.there was some are coming out of his mouth. She said the smell in the

:03:59. > :04:02.room nearly made her be sick. She told the court she left the house

:04:03. > :04:05.and said that over the course of the evening, she told them several times

:04:06. > :04:11.to call an ambulance. She said she was told that Stephen Hughes was

:04:12. > :04:16.afraid of the police. The next morning, she called again and heard

:04:17. > :04:20.Owen Creaney was dead. She said Shaunean Boyle asked her if she had

:04:21. > :04:24.any petrol and she told her that her car was diesel and Shaunean Boyle

:04:25. > :04:32.then asked if it burdened. After this phone call, she contacted the

:04:33. > :04:36.police and her father. Shaunean Boyle's lawyer asked her if she

:04:37. > :04:40.remembered getting it fixed on the Saturday morning in which his client

:04:41. > :04:44.had denied the murder. She said she did not. The trial continues.

:04:45. > :04:46.Four men have been in court in Craigavon charged

:04:47. > :04:50.They were arrested last week by detectives investigating alleged

:04:51. > :05:07.Amid heavy security here at Craigavon courts, the men were led

:05:08. > :05:11.into the dog. One of them, 22 years old and from Lurgan also face of the

:05:12. > :05:14.charge of attempting to murder police officers on a day between the

:05:15. > :05:17.end of August at the start of September this year. He is also

:05:18. > :05:23.charged in connection with the discovery of a device found in

:05:24. > :05:34.Lurgan last week. The other three men, 22-year-old from Lurgan, a

:05:35. > :05:38.24-year-old and a 46-year-old from Dungannon were charged with

:05:39. > :05:42.targeting a former member of the security forces. A detective

:05:43. > :05:46.Sergeant told the court he could link all the men to the child is put

:05:47. > :05:50.to them. He said police observed a car doing loops around the home of a

:05:51. > :05:56.former member of the security forces. He said a defendant had left

:05:57. > :06:01.fingerprints on a camera trained on the home. During a bail application,

:06:02. > :06:04.the police officer said the 22-year-old defendant had a long

:06:05. > :06:08.criminal record, but it was revealed in court they have the wrong details

:06:09. > :06:13.because he had never been arrested before. Police also revealed they

:06:14. > :06:18.had not been able to find the camera so far. All four men were remanded

:06:19. > :06:21.in custody. As they were being led from the dog and left the courthouse

:06:22. > :06:24.in a prison van, their supporters clapped and cheered.

:06:25. > :06:27.The Ardoyne residents group GARC says it plans to hold to protest

:06:28. > :06:29.parades against the agreement reached on ending the

:06:30. > :06:35.As part of the agreement to end the three-year-long dispute,

:06:36. > :06:37.three orange lodges and two bands will pass the Ardoyne shops

:06:38. > :06:41.The agreement between the Orange Order and and the Crumlin

:06:42. > :06:44.and Ardoyne Residents Association, CARA, will also see the protest camp

:06:45. > :06:48.But the Ardoyne residents group GARC opposes the deal and plans to hold

:06:49. > :06:51.a protest on Friday night and another during the Orange Order

:06:52. > :07:01.The group say it will apply to the Parades Commission tomorrow.

:07:02. > :07:04.A company at the centre of a controversial County Antrim

:07:05. > :07:06.exploratory well says it's getting out of the oil business.

:07:07. > :07:08.The company, Infrastrata, was at the centre of a long running

:07:09. > :07:11.dispute over exploratory drilling for oil at Woodburn Forest

:07:12. > :07:15.It said it had decided to divest itself of its "remaining oil gas

:07:16. > :07:18.Instead, it's moving exclusively into gas storage.

:07:19. > :07:22.Infrastrata abandoned the well when only water was found.

:07:23. > :07:24.Some specialists in retail say Belfast needs to attract more

:07:25. > :07:28.Their report also claims that a John Lewis department store

:07:29. > :07:30.would be a major catalyst in rejuvenating shopping

:07:31. > :07:40.Here's our business correspondent, Julian O'Neill.

:07:41. > :07:48.A report for the Council says Belfast falls well below the cities

:07:49. > :07:54.in terms of luxury or high end retail. There are gaps in the high

:07:55. > :07:57.Street which visitors can notice. Manchester we have Selfridge's we go

:07:58. > :08:02.to Newcastle or there is FedEx and they are the big department stores.

:08:03. > :08:10.In Belfast I would say they don't have that. I've been to London,

:08:11. > :08:15.Newcastle, Gloucester, Belfast is very compact and there is a great

:08:16. > :08:19.range and it is good. Analysts believe Belfast is playing catch up.

:08:20. > :08:26.The report says over 200 brands are missing from Belfast. Jon Lewis

:08:27. > :08:29.would be a major catalyst in uplifting retail fortunes.

:08:30. > :08:36.Potentially driving up city sharp spending by 17%. Should John Lewis

:08:37. > :08:42.prefer spruce field, the report suggests Belfast retail income would

:08:43. > :08:46.drop by an initial 9%. The equivalent of ?47 million a year. It

:08:47. > :08:53.is a scenario city retailers want avoided. John Lewis, frankly, I

:08:54. > :08:56.don't think we mind. We want to be supportive of seeing the business

:08:57. > :09:01.community develop and I'd be a great place to people to come and spend

:09:02. > :09:05.time. John Lewis has always been seen as favouring spruce field, than

:09:06. > :09:09.a planning application is presently on the table. But with this report,

:09:10. > :09:15.Belfast is signalling it is not giving up on a new department store.

:09:16. > :09:20.John Lewis 's been actively courted. There's a retail element to a major

:09:21. > :09:24.planet called Royal exchange. That's a ?400 million regeneration scheme

:09:25. > :09:31.between Royal Avenue and Cathedral Quarter and it owners as well as the

:09:32. > :09:36.council would dearly love a big name.

:09:37. > :09:38.Three care homes in Northern Ireland have been placed in administration.

:09:39. > :09:40.The homes which are owned by companies Care Circle

:09:41. > :09:42.and Slemish homes are Kingsway in Dunmurry,

:09:43. > :09:44.Braefield in Connor, and Slemish in Ballymena.

:09:45. > :09:46.Administrators Deloitte say the homes will continue to operate

:09:47. > :09:48.as normal and no job losses are planned.

:09:49. > :09:50.Football and in the Airtricity League, Derry City drew 2-2

:09:51. > :09:55.Tributes have been paid to the former BBC broadcaster

:09:56. > :09:58.Paddy O'Flaherty, who has died at the age of 73.

:09:59. > :09:59.His career spanned news and arts programmes.

:10:00. > :10:07.Our Education and Arts Correspondent Robbie Meredith looks back.

:10:08. > :10:15.This is rugged country, it is remote and it is rich. He was one of the

:10:16. > :10:19.most distinctive and most respected broadcasters of his era. And in a

:10:20. > :10:23.career spanning decades, Paddy O'Flaherty was often on the front

:10:24. > :10:28.line as a journalist. They few seconds later, he had to be

:10:29. > :10:36.restrained again as he struggled, the bomb outside is loaded. --

:10:37. > :10:40.exploded. The people are starting to scream and I stood up, looks around

:10:41. > :10:43.and it was pretty dark. I could see people gathering in corners, some

:10:44. > :10:49.were on the ground and the screaming just went on and on and on. His job

:10:50. > :10:54.is to be the highs and ears of our audience, so he brought people the

:10:55. > :10:57.immediacy of the situation he faced, wherever it was. He do that through

:10:58. > :11:01.some of the most difficult days in Northern Ireland's history. His

:11:02. > :11:09.friend former BBC producer first worked with him in the mid-19 70s.

:11:10. > :11:16.Heath at the beautiful honey toned voice, yet very base. And also

:11:17. > :11:19.musical. And Paddy O'Flaherty was a highly accomplished musician,

:11:20. > :11:24.present in many programmes about Hezbollah the country music. The --

:11:25. > :11:44.about Hezbollah Vit country music. There have been numerous tributes

:11:45. > :11:49.since the news of his death broke. Arlene Foster called him a gentle

:11:50. > :11:58.person. Wendy Austin said he was a great reporter. He knew how to

:11:59. > :12:00.combine work with pleasure. Owen Creaney, living in hope on the river

:12:01. > :12:01.Lagan. The broadcaster Paddy

:12:02. > :12:04.O'Flaherty, who died today. Time for the weather forecast next,

:12:05. > :12:18.and with the details, Temperatures 12-13d, that sets us up

:12:19. > :12:22.for a warmer day tomorrow. Unseasonably so for the time of

:12:23. > :12:26.year. It will be windy though. To begin with tomorrow, a dry style,

:12:27. > :12:29.but not long before the cloud thickens from the West, bring him

:12:30. > :12:34.patchy rain and drizzle that will effect many areas of western Ireland

:12:35. > :12:38.before it makes his way east towards Britain. Plenty of dry and sunny

:12:39. > :12:41.weather for many areas of England, Scotland and Wales. As we make our

:12:42. > :12:45.way through the day, it is increasingly wet and windy for many

:12:46. > :12:53.areas of Scotland. But as by further south. 23 degrees likely the

:12:54. > :13:00.south-east. For Ireland, cloud. Try the afternoon, warm with 21-22d. For

:13:01. > :13:04.as, there will be cloud, it is likely to break and allow sunny are

:13:05. > :13:08.gaps along with the south-westerly wind. But by tomorrow night, we see

:13:09. > :13:14.rain coming in from the Lancet. Some of it will be heavy and behind it,

:13:15. > :13:19.colder air. As a going to Thursday, a noticeably windy day. There will

:13:20. > :13:27.be sunshine, perhaps some of them underage downpours with highs of

:13:28. > :13:31.13-14d. As for Friday, temperatures struggle to 12-13d. Noticeably

:13:32. > :13:33.cooler compared
