:00:38. > :00:42.lanes of the Wesselingh and there was huge disruption as workers try
:00:43. > :00:45.to head out of town. Public transport was also badly affected.
:00:46. > :00:48.Commuters were trapped in gridlock for hours, some unable to leave
:00:49. > :00:53.their car parks. They were advised to delay their journeys home as
:00:54. > :00:57.possible. The traffic is that a dead halt here although some is moving
:00:58. > :01:01.out of town. The slip road onto the west link, the police have blocked
:01:02. > :01:04.this road, nothing is on that motorway just behind although some
:01:05. > :01:09.traffic is moving on the other side of the road coming into town. A
:01:10. > :01:12.spokesman appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact them. He
:01:13. > :01:18.said he understood the frustration of drivers that a fatal road traffic
:01:19. > :01:21.incident had to be fully investigated but the road remained
:01:22. > :01:24.closed. After four hours, the road was reopened and stranded commuters
:01:25. > :01:25.were allowed to continue their journeys.
:01:26. > :01:29.And in Cookstown, the Lough Fea Road has been closed because of a serious
:01:30. > :01:32.Diversions are in place but police advice motorists to avoid the area
