:00:09. > :00:12.Police have started a murder investigation after the discovery

:00:13. > :00:14.of a man's body in a house in Lurgan this afternoon.

:00:15. > :00:16.Two men and a woman have been arrested.

:00:17. > :00:19.Our reporter Catherine Morrison is at the scene.

:00:20. > :00:27.The police were called to the house at Manor Drive in a Lurgan shortly

:00:28. > :00:32.before 3pm this afternoon. Inside, they found the body of a 29-year-old

:00:33. > :00:37.man. It is still not clear how he died. The police say a postmortem

:00:38. > :00:40.examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death. It is

:00:41. > :00:45.understood a house party may have been taking place in the property at

:00:46. > :00:51.the time. Three people have been arrested. Two men and one woman. And

:00:52. > :00:52.are being questioned by police. Detectives want anyone who knows

:00:53. > :00:57.what happened to contact them. Police are still hunting

:00:58. > :00:59.for a prisoner who was mistakenly released from Maghaberry Jail

:01:00. > :01:02.on Tuesday. 38-year-old Michael Lawrence Smith,

:01:03. > :01:05.who was on remand charged with murder, was freed to attended

:01:06. > :01:07.a family confirmation. The Prison Service have

:01:08. > :01:18.apologised for their error. Michael Smith was released from

:01:19. > :01:23.prison despite being refused permission to do so. He had applied

:01:24. > :01:26.for compassionate bail on Monday to attend a family event. The Prison

:01:27. > :01:30.Service say he was collected by a family member just before lunchtime

:01:31. > :01:35.on Tuesday. The mistake was realised the few hours later, around 4:30pm.

:01:36. > :01:39.I want to apologise to the public this morning for what is a very

:01:40. > :01:43.serious mistake on the part of the Prison Service. It is the will of

:01:44. > :01:46.the Prison Service to protect the public by holding securely those

:01:47. > :01:51.committed to our care by the courts. On this occasion, we have failed in

:01:52. > :01:57.our responsibility and it was a very serious mistake and a very serious

:01:58. > :02:01.occasion has risen. He also apologised to the family of the

:02:02. > :02:05.28-year-old Michael Smith is accused of killing. He was shot dead in

:02:06. > :02:09.front of his partner and young son in their home last year. Yesterday,

:02:10. > :02:13.the police took the unusual step of publishing a photograph of Michael

:02:14. > :02:17.Smith in an appeal for his whereabouts. The prisoner is said to

:02:18. > :02:20.be dangerous with a history of violence. The police are urging the

:02:21. > :02:25.public not to approach him but to contact them instead. This is where

:02:26. > :02:31.Michael Smith was last seen. Around 2pm on Tuesday afternoon. The police

:02:32. > :02:35.are a third day into their manhunt and the Prison Service has been left

:02:36. > :02:36.scratching its head. It says it will review all procedure is so this will

:02:37. > :02:38.never happen again. The judge overseeing the inquiry

:02:39. > :02:41.into the renewable heat incentive scheme has said he won't be

:02:42. > :02:45.reporting within months, The first public session

:02:46. > :02:49.of the inquiry is due in April. Here's our Agriculture

:02:50. > :03:01.and Environment Correspondent The Senate chamber at Stormont will

:03:02. > :03:05.be the setting for the drama that may shape our political future. This

:03:06. > :03:09.is where witnesses will come to tell what they know about the setting up

:03:10. > :03:14.and running of the renewable heat incentive scheme. Today, the man in

:03:15. > :03:24.charge set out his housekeeping rules. The German ruled out talk of

:03:25. > :03:28.an early finish. He said his enquiry was a fact-finding mission, not a

:03:29. > :03:33.trial, and had no power to determine any person's criminal or civil

:03:34. > :03:37.liability. He poured cold water on talk of a six-month time frame,

:03:38. > :03:43.saying no one would back the enquiry team for producing a fast but flawed

:03:44. > :03:47.piece of work. And he ruled out an interim report. Some have looked to

:03:48. > :03:50.as a way out of the current political stalemate, saying any

:03:51. > :03:54.preliminary conclusions that could be reached would necessarily be

:03:55. > :04:01.based on incomplete information. So no commitment from the chairman

:04:02. > :04:04.other than to do the work as quickly as possible without sacrificing any

:04:05. > :04:07.thoroughness. Those who bought this enquiry might produce a quick

:04:08. > :04:11.political fix are starting to get a better sense of how long it all may

:04:12. > :04:13.take, and it seems to be stretching into the distance a bit.

:04:14. > :04:15.The Secretary of State James Brokenshire has warned

:04:16. > :04:17.there could be another election if the parties can't reach agreement

:04:18. > :04:22.The DUP leader Arlene Foster has said she regrets describing

:04:23. > :04:29.republicans as crocodiles during the election campaign.

:04:30. > :04:33.In an interview with Fermanagh newspaper the Impartial Reporter,

:04:34. > :04:35.she said she regretted the comment insofar as it allowed

:04:36. > :04:41.Here's our Political Correspondent Stephen Walker.

:04:42. > :04:49.Stormont. To some, it is an uphill struggle. Two others, a chance to

:04:50. > :04:54.catch a glimpse of history. Behind the scenes, the talking continues.

:04:55. > :04:57.Today, in a letter to MPs, the Secretary of State said he wanted

:04:58. > :05:01.devolution to work, but warned that there was no deal, another election

:05:02. > :05:05.could follow. So should we get ready to vote again? I think there was

:05:06. > :05:09.another election, I think there would be huge frustration across the

:05:10. > :05:14.people of Northern Ireland. They have given their say already and

:05:15. > :05:18.they have been very clear-cut. And there was a feeling here that the

:05:19. > :05:23.public would be angry about holding another vote. Never mind about

:05:24. > :05:28.elections are anything else. This is about the public. They came out in

:05:29. > :05:32.very large numbers to tell us to get the job done. Legacy dominated much

:05:33. > :05:36.of today's discussions, and the Ulster Unionist Party that the Irish

:05:37. > :05:41.Government have not fulfilled their responsibilities. Particularly in

:05:42. > :05:47.relation to Kingsmill. But we also said that they were still following

:05:48. > :05:51.very far short of giving what the UK Government promised, which was full

:05:52. > :05:54.disclosure. In contrast, Sinn Fein insisted it was the British

:05:55. > :05:58.Government to donate on agreements. As we come towards the end of week

:05:59. > :06:01.one, we haven't seen anything we put on the table for the British

:06:02. > :06:05.Government on how we can deliver on the key issues, what the public are

:06:06. > :06:07.demanding is action. Tonight, C Flannigan is returning to Dublin,

:06:08. > :06:14.after two days of talking in Belfast. I do detect a willingness

:06:15. > :06:17.on the part of everybody to do business. I am not underestimating

:06:18. > :06:23.the challenge. There are real and serious issues outstanding. Some of

:06:24. > :06:27.which go back 18 years to the Good Friday Agreement. So another day of

:06:28. > :06:32.talking ends and perhaps today will be remembered for this stark warning

:06:33. > :06:34.from the Secretary of State. In simple terms, he said, do a deal or

:06:35. > :06:37.prepare for another election. There'll be more on the political

:06:38. > :06:39.situation in The View after this programme,

:06:40. > :06:49.and with news of that, Thank you. And one of the big

:06:50. > :06:53.talking points this week is the next critical move by unionists in

:06:54. > :06:58.response to losing its Stormont majority. We will hear from the DUP

:06:59. > :07:02.and David Campbell, the former chair of the Ulster Unionist Party, what

:07:03. > :07:06.the next steps should be and after that, how does nationalism approach

:07:07. > :07:07.that shift in the political balance here? That is straight after

:07:08. > :07:09.bulletin. The Ulster Bank is to close

:07:10. > :07:12.nine of its 64 branches It says it's made the decision

:07:13. > :07:15.because more of its customers The branches include four

:07:16. > :07:19.in Belfast, and the rest are in Monkstown, Bangor,

:07:20. > :07:25.Kircubbin, Garvagh and Londonderry. The Catholic primate

:07:26. > :07:27.Archbishop Eamon Martin has said he is ashamed of revelations

:07:28. > :07:30.about the Tuam mother and baby A recent report found

:07:31. > :07:34.that there were significant human remains buried in a field linked

:07:35. > :07:37.to the home that was run by nuns Archbishop Martin apologised

:07:38. > :07:54.for what he called The best thing for us to do is to

:07:55. > :07:58.open it up carefully and respectfully and I think establish

:07:59. > :08:03.the truth, the whole truth really about what happened at that time, so

:08:04. > :08:07.that we as a community and as a society, as people on this island,

:08:08. > :08:10.can move on, understanding the shadows and the darkness and these

:08:11. > :08:21.terrible chapters of our past. Hello. Good evening. It has felt

:08:22. > :08:26.like another day when spring might just have sprung. This fantastic

:08:27. > :08:30.picture sent in. I am afraid tomorrow it is all going to change.

:08:31. > :08:38.Overnight, we have the cloud filling in and rain moving in from the west.

:08:39. > :08:43.Quite mild. A 5-7dC. Beautiful blue skies for the last few days. It will

:08:44. > :08:46.be an altogether cloudier picture tomorrow. Dull and grey and a bit

:08:47. > :08:52.drizzly throughout the day. That blanket of cloud sitting over as.

:08:53. > :08:56.Light rain never terribly far away. It is quite mild. Even without

:08:57. > :09:02.feeling much in the way of sunshine. We will still see temperatures

:09:03. > :09:07.11-12dC. We might get a few breaks in the cloud on high ground.

:09:08. > :09:11.Generally, across the UK and Ireland, it is a pretty dry day.

:09:12. > :09:15.Particularly across the eastern half of England where we will see some

:09:16. > :09:19.decent spells of sunshine. Cloud and central parts. Overnight, we will

:09:20. > :09:23.see more rain working its way through. A front coming through on

:09:24. > :09:27.Friday night into Saturday. It means that Saturday will get off to a bit

:09:28. > :09:30.of a cloudy start but it will be brighter later on. That front

:09:31. > :09:38.clearing out of the way, introducing some fresh air. 12-13dC. Another

:09:39. > :09:41.front overnight into Sunday. That introduces some cooler air and there

:09:42. > :09:44.will be some showers but again at least some war in the way of

:09:45. > :09:45.brightness. Saying settled and right into next week.
